Abstract

Ikan tuna madidihang di perairan Majene telah dimanfaatkan oleh nelayan sejak lama dengan menggunakan alat tangkap pukat cincin dan pancing ulur sehingga diduga telah terjadi pemanfaatan berlebihan dan penurunan populasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur ukuran tuna madidihang menurut waktu dan kedalaman.  Data yang digunakan berupa data primer seperti ukuran ikan, waktu penangkapan dan kedalaman (panjang tali pancing ulur). Data primer diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung di lapangan.  Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui perbandingan histogram dan uji t – student serta ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa (1) Struktur ukuran (panjang dan bobot) ikan Tuna Madidihang yang tertangkap berdasarkan waktu harian pada waktu pagi dan sore hari tidak berbeda, (2) Struktur ukuran (panjang dan bobot) ikan Tuna Madidihang, yang tertangkap di sore hari lebih luas dibanding yang tertangkap di pagi hari, (3) Struktur ukuran (panjang dan bobot) ikan Tuna Madidihang berdasarkan waktu bulanan berbeda nyata antara yang tertangkap pada sore hari dengan pagi hari, (4) Pada kedalaman 30-40 m ikan-ikan yang tertangkap pada umumnya berukuran 25-145 cm, sedangkan yang tertangkap ≥ 50 m pada umumnya adalah ukuran layak tangkap (minimal sudah pernah mijah sekali dengan ukuran yang lebih besar. Kata kunci : Tuna madidihang, struktur ukuran, waktu penangkapan, kedalaman, pancing ulur, Selat Makassar Yellowfin in the waters of Majene has long been used by fishermen using purse seine and handline fishing gear that are estimated to have occurred over exploitation and population decline. This study aims to analyze the structure of yellowfin size according to time and depth. The data used in the form of primary data such as fish size, time of fishing and depth (length line of handline). Primary data was obtained through direct measurements in the field. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing histograms and t-test - Student and ANOVA. The results of the study explained that (1) Structure size (length and weight) of fish caught yellowfin based on the time of day in the morning and the afternoon is no different, (2) Structure size (length and weight) yellowfin, which is caught in the afternoon higher than that captured in the morning, (3) Structure size (length and weight) yellowfin significantly different based on a monthly time between being caught in the afternoon to the morning, (4) at a depth of 30-40 m fish caught on generally measure 25-145 cm, while the captured ≥ 50 m in general is catching decent size (ever spawn) with a larger size. Abstract

Tobacco can be used as natural pesticide since it contained high concentration of nicotine that may killed pest and fish diseases. This work aimed to know the influence and inhibiting concentration of tobacco leaves extract to the growth of Tilapia. The research was conducted on March to May 2007 at laboratory of Satker PBIAT Ngrajek, Magelang. Fish fry used were in between 1,74±0,105 g with the density of 10 were tested in 20 L fresh water, were tested using several concentration of tobacco leaves extract. Sub lethal toxicity tested in the laboratory using complete random design for 28 days. The result showed that LC50 -96 hours is 22,492 mg/L. It is shown that extract of tobacco leaves has a significant influence to the fish growth. The highest absolute biomass growth is at treatment  K (3,72 g), followed by treatment  A (3,29 g), B (2,96 g), C (2,75 g), and D (2,24 g). Whereas the highest daily growth rate is also at treatment K (3,93 %), followed by A (3,75 %), B (3,59  %), C (3,45 %), and D (3,06 %). The inhibiting concentration (IC 50) is 15,733 mg/L. Abstract

Sister Program for “Mina Karya Mandiri” Group to Improve Selling and Promotion Mangrove Processing Product  ABSTRAK   Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat melalui program pendampingan kelompok tani dilaksanakan sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi stagnasi produksi dan penjualan hasil olahan mangrove (bolu dan krupuk mangrove) yang dihasilkan oleh Kelompok Tani “Karya Mina Mandiri” (KMM) dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September 2014 di Mangunharjo Semarang. Target luaran (outcome) dalam kegiatan ini adalah pemantapan dan penguatan kerjasama yang selama ini telah terjalin antara tim pengabdian masyarakat dengan kelompok tani KMM sebagai mitra binaan, meningkatkan brand image product, meningkatkan hasil penjualan, meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap produk olahan mangrove, serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya mangrove. Target kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sudah terlaksana dengan baik sebesar 90% seperti sosialisasi, penyuluhan, perbaikan kemasan (packaging), pengujian informasi gizi produk dan pemberian bantuan alat kemasan. 10% Target kegiatan berupa promosi serta monitoring program pendampingan yang telah dijalankan, belum dapat dilakukan karena kendala bulan musim panen buah mangrove telah berlalu sehingga kelompok tani “Karya Mina Mandiri” belum dapat memproduksi hasil olahan mangrove dalam volume besar. Hasil pengujian kandungan gizi bolu mangrove sebagai berikut : total antioksidan  129%, kalori 364 Kkal/kg, protein 5,5%, lemak 0,61% dan karbohidrat 78,13% sedangkan pengujian kandungan gizi pada krupuk mangrove adalah sebagai berikut : total antioksidan 1,29%, kalori 240 Kkal/kg, protein 3,89%, lemak 0,3%, karbohidrat 68,29%. Berdasarkan kesimpulan tersebut, maka saran yang bisa disampaikan adalah Kendala musim panen buah mangrove perlu diantisipasi dengan cara mengolah semaksimal mungkin buah mangrove untuk dijadikan tepung pada saat panen dan menyimpannya sebagai stock cadangan pada bulan nonpanen.   Kata kunci : Program Pendampingan, Olahan Mangrove, Kandungan Gizi, Kemasan Produk,  Kelompok Tani “ Karya Mina Mandiri”, Mangunharjo Community Service activities through sister  program implemented as a solution to overcome the stagnation in the production and sale of mangrove processed products (cake and krupuks-snacks mangrove) generated by Farmers Group "Mina Karya Mandiri" (KMM). Target outcomes (outcome) in this activities are the establishment and strengthening of cooperation that has been established between a community service teams with farmer groups KMM as trained partners, improve product brand image, increase sales, increase public interest in the mangrove refined products, as well as raising awareness the importance of mangrove. Target community service activities already performing well by 90% as socialization, counseling, improved packaging (packaging), testing the nutritional information of products and provision of packaging tools. 10% target in the form of promotional activities as well as monitoring of assistance programs that have been run, can not be done because of constraints in mangrove fruit harvest season has passed so that farmers group "Mina Karya Mandiri" have not been able to produce results in large volumes of processed mangrove. The test results  mangrove nutritional content as follows: total antioxidant 129%, 364 calories Kcal/kg, 5,5% protein, fat and carbohydrate 0,61% 78,13% while testing the nutrient content in the mangrove krupuks-snacks are as follows: total antioxidant 1,29%, calories 240 kcal / kg, 3,89% protein, 0,3% fat, carbohydrates 68,29%. Based on these conclusions, the suggestions can be submitted is Constraints mangrove fruit harvest should be anticipated by processing as much as possible to be used as flour mangrove fruit at harvest and store it as a backup in nonharvest stock. Abstract

Some blood cockles in the West Banjir Kanal river estuary in Semarang have been contaminated  by some heavy metal that exceeds the level of Indonesian National Standard requirement. The research aimed to find out the effect of different soaking period of cooked blood cockle (Anadara granosa) meat in 4.0%  alginate solution to the cadmium content reduction, moisture content, ash content, pH and organoleptic  values of the product. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with three  treatments, namely the soaking period of cooked blood cockle meat in 4.0% alginate solution for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and control (without soaking). Each of the treatment was done in triplicate. The results  showed that the different soaking period of cooked blood cockle meat in 4.0% alginate solution (for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes) resulted in highly significant reduction of cadmium content which was from 1.588 mg/kg (control) to 0.463 mg/kg (the lowest) after 30 minutes soaking period. The longer the  soaking   period of cooked blood cockle meat in 4.0% alginate solution the lower the cadmium content. The soaking period of cooked blood cockle meat in 4.0% alginate solution for 30 minutes was the best soaking period because it could reduce the content of cadmium up to 0.463 mg/kg and the organoleptic value was 7.89 which met the quality requirements of cooked blood cockle meat according to SNI.  Key words: Cooked blood cockle meat, alginate, cadmium, pH, quality

Abstract

 Industri pengalengan rajungan  pasturisasi melalui beberapa tahap utama yaitu pengukusan, pengupasan dan pengalengan. Rajungan  yang dikukus akan mengalami susut bobot dan ketikan dikupas menghasilkan rendemen daging dalam jumlah dan komposisi tertentu. Penelitian  untuk mengetahui susut bobot  selama pengukusan rajungan,  rendemen, dan komposisi jenis daging   serta  proses pengupasan pada rajungan yang berbeda ukuran dan rajungan bertelur. Rajungan berukuran kecil (lebar karapas <10 cm); rajungan besar (lebar karapas >10 cm) dan rajungan bertelur dikukus selama 30 menit pada suhu 80-90 oC,  didiamkan 60 menit sampai suhunya menyesuaikan ruang, dikupas dan dipisahkan daging  jumbo, reguler dan claw meat. Diperoleh susut selama  dikukus  sebesar 19,3%, susut pendinginan 15,9%, dan susut total 32,2%.  Rerata rendemen pengupasan 37,6%, terdiri  dari : daging jumbo (21,5%);  daging regular (51,9%) dan  daging claw meat (29,4%).  Rendemen rajungan besar 42,1% jumbo 31,5%; regular 34,3%; dan  claw meat 34,2%. Sedangkan rajungan bertelur  rendemen daging 30,7% terdiri dari  jumbo 22,4%; regular 25,8%; claw meat 15,2%.  telur 36,7%. Pengukusan mengakibatkan penyusutan bobot pada rajungan utuh. Rajungan jantan mengalami penyusutan yang lebih tinggi dari rajungan betina yang tidak bertelur.Ukuran rajungan tidak mempengaruhi besarnya penyusutan. Rendemen daging rajungan besar paling tinggi dibandingkan rajungan kecil dan rajungan bertelur. Daging jumbo dihasilkan dan memiliki nilai harga paling tinggi pada rajungan besar. Pasteurized crab canning industry through several major stages, namely steaming, peeling and canning. Steamed food ingredients will experience on weight loss which result in the meat yield in the amount and specific composition. The research was aimed to obtain the weight loss during steaming crab, meat yield and species composition of the process of peeling the crabs, on different sizes and crab spawn. Small crabs (carapace width <10cm); big crab (carapace width > 10cm) and crab spawn steamed for 30 minutes at a temperature of 80-90oC, cooled for 60 minutes according to the room temperature, peeled and separated of meat jumbo, regular and claw meat. The result showed the first shrinkage obtained during steamed at 19.3%, the shrinkage cooling 15.9%  and the total shrinkage at 32.2%. The average of peeling yield of 37.6%, compositing by jumbo meat (21.5%), regular meat (51.9%) and claw meat (29.4%). The yield of jumbo meat 31.5% ; regular 34,3%; and claw meat 34.2%. While spawn crab meat yield of 30.7% consisted of jumbo 22.4%; Regular 25.8%; claw meat 15.2% and eggs around 36.7%. Steaming resulted in depreciation weights on Rajungan intact. Crab males experienced higher depreciation compare to crab females which do not have eggs inside. Crab size does not affect the amount of depreciation. The yield of big crab meat was highest than small crabs and crab spawn. Jumbo meat is produced and has the highest price on the value of big crabs

Abstract

At the present, people is more like a softbone milkfish. That is  push the growth of  the Pandanaran Area as the seller center of special gift from Semarang. Marketing research would be done to increase understanding of consumers characteristics and to develop business of softbone milkfish, including the factors that influenced a consumers to choose a store and to buy softbone  milkfish products. This research aims to assess the influence level of decisions factors to buy and  also to scan competition of softbone milkfish sellers  at  the Pandanaran Area in Semarang. The research proved that the image and positioning “Bandeng Juwana” is very high (the most popular) as special gift of Semarang. The most decision  factor which influenced a selection of stores was taste (28%), and then followed by texture (10%), colour (10%), price (8%), packaging (7%), and store image (7 %). “Bandeng Juwana” have strength on an aspects of physical product, especially in taste and price (reasonable price), while”Bandeng Presto” have strength on a service aspects and building design. “Bandeng Bonafid” has strength on   the speed of service. The results proved that “Bandeng Juwana” would become the first choice of consumers, both before and after the process of purchasing (repurchased order). Consumers choice index were 3.74 for “Bandeng Juwana”, 3.72 for “Bandeng Presto” and 3.35 for “Bandeng Bonafid”. Key words:softbone milkfish, consumers want index, consumers choice index

Abstract

Pengembangan budidaya ikan lele, Clarias gariepinus sering terjadi kendala dengan biaya pakan yang terlalu tinggi (60-70% dari biaya produksi). Barangkali, penggunaan bahan baku lokal seperti pemanfaatan tepung telur ayam yang nilai nutrisinya tinggi, mudah didapat, dan murah harganya merupakan salah satu solusinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung telur ayam afkir dalam pakan buatan yang berprobiotik terhadap efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan lele dumbo (C. gariepinus). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang menggunakan  4 perlakuan dan masing-masing 3 kali kali ulangan. Perlakuan itu adalah pakan yang tanpa menggunakan tepung telur ayam afkir (Perlakuan A), pakan yang menggunakan tepung telur afkir masing-masing sebanyak 15%, 30%, dan 45% sebagai Perlakuan B, C, dan D. Ikan uji  bibit lele dumbo (C. gariepinus) yang ditebar mempunyai bobot rerata 2.04±0.05 g dengan kepadatan 1 ekor/L yang dipelihara selama 42 hari. Variabel data yang diukur meliputi Tingkat Konsumsi Pakan (TKP), Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan (EPP), Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR), Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), dan Survival Rate (SR). Hasil penelitian ditunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung telur ayam afkir pada pakan buatan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (p < 0.05) terhadap TKP, EPP, FCR, PER, dan RGR, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P≥0,05) terhadap SR. Perlakuan dengan penambahan tepung telur ayam afkir sebanyak 30% (Perlakuan C) memberikan nilai terbaik untuik TKP sebesar 146,87%, EPP sebesar 88,77%, PER sebesar 2,61% dan RGR sebesar 7,65%/hari dari perlakuan lainnya. Monitoring nilai kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan telah menunjukkan bahwa pada kisaran yang layak untuk pemeliharaan ikan uji. Catfish cultivation development, Clarias gariepinus often occur constraints with the high cost of feed  (60-70% of the production cost). Perhaps, the use of local raw materials such as the utilization of rejected chicken egg with high nutritional value, easy to obtain, and cheap price is one of the solution. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of addition of rejected chicken egg  powder inprobiotized artificial feed on the efficiency of feed utilization, growth and survival rate of catfish, C. gariepinus. This study was used an experimental method with completely randomized design (RAL) by using 4 treatments and each of them 3 replications. The treatments were feed without use of rejected chicken egg powder  (Treatment A), feed using 15%, 30%, and 45% of powder  meals of rejected chicken egg  as treatment B, C, and D, respectively. Catfish, C. gariepinus seeds were stocked with a mean weight of 2.04 ± 0.05 g with a density of 1 tail / L and cultured  for 42 days. The data variables measured were  Total of Feed Consumption (TFC), Feed Utilization Efficiency (FUE), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER), Relative Growth Rate (RGR), and Survival Rate (SR). The results showed that the use of chicken egg starch in artificial feed gave a real effect (p <0.05) on TFC, FUE, FCR, PER, and RGR, but no significant effect (P≥0,05) on SR. Treatment with the addition of 30% chicken meal (Treatment C) had the best value for TFC at 146.87%, the FUE of 88.77%, the PER of 2.61%  and the RGR of 7.65% / day than of the another treatments. Monitoring of  water quality values on maintenance media has shown that at a reasonable range for the maintenance of catfish culture.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan kualitas biologis ekstrak kasar dan isolat albumin ikan gabus yang optimal terhadap berat badan dan kadar serum albumin tikus mencit. Analisa data penelitian ini adalah uji kualitas biologis ekstrak kasar dan isolat albumin pada tikus mencit, perbedaan hasil tiap perlakuannya dianalisa dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal. Hasil terbaik uji kualitas biologis ekstrak albumin kasar dan isolat albumin pada tikus Mencit (Mus musculus L.) adalah berat badan tertinggi 28.48 g, pada mencit yang diberi perlakuan ekstrak albumin kasar. Kadar albumin serum tertinggi 2.22 g dl-1 pada mencit yang diberi perlakuan ekstrak albumin kasar. Kata kunci : ikan gabus (Ophiocephalus striatus), kualitas biologis ekstrak kasar dan isolat albumin, tikus mencit (Mus musculus L.) The objective of this study to determine the biological quality of crude extracts and albumin isolates of gabus fish that optimal towards body weight and albumin serum content of murine rodents. Analysis of data of this study is to test the biological quality of crude extract and isolate albumin in rats mice, differences in the results of each treatment group were analyzed by Randomized Design (RAK) a single factor. The best results test of the biological quality of crude albumin extract and albumin isolates in murine rodents (Mus musculus L.) is the highest weight 28.48 g, in rodent treated crude albumin extract. The highest contents of serum albumin 2.22 g d-1 in rodent treated crude albumin extract. Abstract

Intensitas cahaya merupakan faktor penting terhadap biota karang dalam mendukung pertumbuhan karang, atau sebaliknya dapat menyebabkan bleaching Zooxanthellae dari polyp karang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas dan lamanya pemaparan pencahayaan UV terhadap laju pelepasan Zooxanthellae pada karang Acropora sp serta recoverynya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 – Januari 2019, di Laboratorium Histopatologi BBPBAP Jepara. Spesimen karang Acropora sp. diberikan perlakuan penyinaran secara Fotoperiode dan terus-menerus dengan lampu uv 10 watt, 15 watt dan kondisi normal; dengan ulangan tiga kali. Sampel karang Acropora sp. diambil dari perairan Pulau Panjang Jepara. Pengamatan dilakukan pada interval waktu ke- 0, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, dan 72 jam. Parameter utama yang diamati adalah laju pelepasan Zooxanthellae dan peubah pendukung yaitu kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas pencahayaan memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap pelepasan Zooxanthellae, semakin tinggi dan pencahayaan yang terus menerus mengakibatkan bleaching total Zooxanthellae pada Acropora sp. Pelepasan Zooxanthellae pencahayaan UV secara terus-menerus lebih besar dari pada perlakuan secara fotoperiode (1881 sel/jam > 731 sel/jam). The light intensity is an important factor for polyp coral in supporting coral growth, or otherwise can cause bleaching of coral. The aims of this research are to evaluate the influence of intensity and the length of ultra violet lighting exposure to the rate of the release of Zooxanthellae in Acropora sp. and their recovery. The research was carried out in December 2018 to January 2019, in the Histopatologi Laboratory of BBPBAP Jepara. Coral Acropora sp. Was given continuous and fotoperiode light treatment with ultra violet lights 10 watts, 15 watts and normally condition; with three times replications. Samples of Acropora sp. were taken from Panjang Island Jepara. The periode of observation are 0 , 12 , 24 , 36 , 48 , 60 , and 72 hours. The main parameters observed are the release of Zooxanthellae and water quality as supporting variables. The result showed that the intensity of ultra violet lighting influence significantly on the release of Zooxanthellae. The higher of intensity and continuous lighting caused total bleaching of Zooxanthellae in Acropora sp. The continuous release of Zooxanthellae UV lighting is greater than photoperiod treatment (1881 cells / hour> 731 cells / hour).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Spiny lobster mendeteksi mangsa makanannya dengan indera penglihatan dan indera penciumannya melalui organ antennule yang dimilikinya. Warna merah mempunyai panjang gelombang cahaya 622-770 nm.  Pemberian warna merah pada bingkai besi dan pemakaian badan jaring nylon berwarna merah pada alat tangkap akan lebih mudah memikat Lobster untuk mendekati umpan. Nelayan Wonogiri selama ini menggunakan Krendet berbingkai besi dan badan jaring nylon berwarna putih (Krendet transparan). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pemberian warna merah pada bingkai dan badan  jaring Krendet terhadap hasil tangkapan Lobster di perairan Wonogiri serta mengetahui Krendet. Dari  hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa tangkapan Lobster dengan Krendet nelayan adalah 28 ekor (3.880 gr), sedangkan pada Krendet berwarna merah adalah 37 ekor (6.120 gr) Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji t pada 2 sampel bebas didapatkan hasil nilai thitung = 2,46. Nilai ini lebih besar daripada ttabel(0,025;46) = 2,02 sehingga dapat disimpulkan pemberian warna merah pada Krendet berpengaruh terhadap jumlah hasil tangkapan Lobster. Kata kunci : Krendet merah, Krendet transparan, Lobster, WonogiriSpiny lobster detected prey’s through vision and smell system with antennule organ. Red has light wavelength 622-770 nm, it can attract Spiny lobster to move closer to the prey. Krendet nylon webbing and iron frame colouring with red is one kind of Krendet modification. Wonogiri fishers’ used Krendet genuine with iron frame and white nylon webbing (Transparent krendet). This research purpose to analysed the effect of Krendet webbing and frame colouring towards Spiny Lobster capture result in Wonogiri seawaters. Research result shown Krendet modification had more Spiny Lobster (6.120 gr) rather than genuine Krendet (3.880 gr). Independent t-test result showed t = 2,46 and it was bigger than ttabel(0,025;46) = 2,02. It concluded colouring Krendet frame and webbing with red colour give more capture result of Spiny Lobster.Keywords : Red Krendet, Transparent Krendet, Spiny Lobster, Wonogiri Seawaters
