Abstract

Background: Web based learning media is used to support systems that walk conventionally, web based learning media can enhance learning more effectively because with a web based display to help students to be able to participate practicum independently and can support practical activities before entering the laboratory. This study aims to determine the effect of web-based learning media on improving the skills care the stage II of childbirth DIII Midwifery studentsResearch methods: This study uses a Quasi Experiment with a non equivalent control group design. The population of all students of the Pelamonia Midwifery Academy VII Wirabuana Makassar in 2019. The sample in this study is the second semester students of the third semester of the Pelamonia Midwifery Academy VII Wirabuana Makassar, amounting to 151 people, divided into 2 groups intervention and control.  The intervention group numbered 32 people, control 40 people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Each group was given a skills pre-test whose assessment was in accordance with the observation sheet on the second stage of labor care procedures. Then the intervention group was given web-based learning media for 1 meeting with 2x50 minutes time. At the end of the meeting a post-test was conducted. Using paired sample t-test.           Results: Statistical test results showed that there were differences in the results of measurement I and measurement II of childbirth care skills in the control group (p <0.05) and contributed 46.3%. In the intervention group there were differences in skills before and after the provision of web-based learning media (p <0.05) and contributed 91.7%, in improving the skills of the second semester Midwifery D-III students regarding second stage of labor.Conclusion: The results of data analysis and evaluation results on web-based learning media have an effect on improving the skills of stage II of childbirth care in Midwifery D-III

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the differences in pre and post treatment knowledge in thegroup of SKB  without and SKB with Video Learning.Method: This type of research uses quasy experiments (pre-post test design). The study was conducted at the UPTD Puskesmas Pitumpanua Wajo Regency in November to December 2019. The sample in this study was 44 third trimester pregnant women each group (control group (LCS) and treatment (LCS with Video Learning) selected based on purposive sampling techniques. Counseling is carried out twice, namely in the antenatal period and 12 hours after delivery Data analysis with the Homogeneity of variance test and the Wilcoxon test.Results: Statistical test results showed that in the control group (p value: 0.001 <0.05) and intervention (pvalue: <0.001 <0.05) there were significant differences in knowledge before and after treatment. Increased knowledge in the intervention group was faster seen in the initial measurement to the first measurement while in the control group it was seen in the initial measurement to the second measurement.Conclusion: There are differences in pre and post treatment knowledge in the SKB and SKB groups with Video Learning. The counseling method uses SKB with faster video learning in increasing maternal knowledge about postpartum IUDs.

Abstract

AbstractIntroduction :Respiratory disease is the enhancement problem in a world that really needs a solution. Objectives: The purpose of this literature was conducted to evaluate the effect of Pursed Lips Breathing on Peripheral Oxygenation and Lung Ventilation Function.Methods: Relevant studies were searched for in 4 data bases Pubmed, Willey, Science direct and Google Scholar, publication dates 5 years. the collected keywords were “Pursed Lips Breathing”, “chronic obstructive pulmonary disease”, and “oxygen saturation”. The search results for those keywords were 6 research articles in Pubmed, 13 research articles in Willey, 6 research articles in ScienceDirect, and 33 research articles in Google Scholar. Only 5 studies were relevant to this review.Results: Based on the articles that have been obtained Pursed Lips Breathing is effective in increasing ventilation and Peripheral oxygenation and effective in increasing lung activity for the respiration process. As for the monitoring criteria for the effectiveness of respiration status by looking at the FEV1 and Spo2 indicatorConclusion: The pursed lips breathing intervention is carried out continuously to the patient every day to get optimal results for the respiration process.Keyword: pursed lips breathing, Peripheral oxygenation, Lung Ventilation Function

Abstract

Objective: : the aim of this research is to find out the effect of intensive counselling in improving knowledge of pregnant women related to quality nutrition intake. Methods: the research used Quasi Eksperimen design method wiht pre post control grup one design.the subject consisten of 80 people divided into 2 groups.i.e. 40 people in control  group and 40 people in intervention group.  the data were processed using kruskal-wallis test to analyze the differences before and after intervention was done in intensive nutrition counselling group andcontrol grupResults:  the results of the research that the mean value in intensive group in terms of knowledge is higher than that of control group.  Therefore intensive counseling is very effective to inprove respondents knowledgeConclusion:  Counseling of Intensive nutrition with using leaflet media can improve knowledge of pregnant women was much better.

Abstract

Background Fatigue is the most common symptom experienced by patients with Chronic Kidney Failure (CRF) and is subjective with a prevalence of 84% in CRF patients who have performed hemodialysis (HD). Fatigue can be overcome by 62.3% through physical exercise. Purpose of writing this review literature is to find out the appropriate physical exercise intervention in hemodialysis patients in overcoming fatigue. Methods used in collecting this article are using the Pubmed, Wiley, Google Scholar database with limitations on the publication of articles in 2009-2019, with relevant keywords. Results obtained are nine randomized controlled trial research articles that fit the inclusion criteria. The research article states that physical exercise interventions are intradialitic foot exercises, VREP exercises and range of motion exercises. The physical exercise intervention proves it can reduce fatigue complaints. Conclusion physical exercise can reduce complaints of fatigue, types of intradialytic leg exercises, VREP exercises and effective and efficient range of motion exercises for patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract

Objective:This study aims to determine the relationship the relationship of serum levels of 25 (OH) vitamin D third trimester pregnant women with maternal outcomes,method: The study design was observational cohort design with a number of samples are 62 third trimester pregnant women were taken by purposive sampling at 32-37 weeks gestation The RSIA SitiKhadijah 1 Makassar In November-December 2019. The relationship was tested by using Chi-square.results: The results of analysis by using chi-squre showed higher levels of serum (OH) D does not have a significant relationship to the incidence of hypertension (0401) infection (0145) in the third trimester pregnant women.Conclusion: Levels of 25 (OH) D is not always a factor causing the incidence of hypertension and infection in pregnancy.KEYWORDS:Serum 25 vitamin D, trimester III pregnant women, maternal output

Abstract

Objective: This study studies the learning of using virtual classroom applications as an Android-based learning media for midwifery urban and sub-urban DIII studentsMethod:The research design uses quasi-experimental design (Quasi experiment) with a randomized pretest-posttest with control group design approach. This research was conducted at STIKES Nani Hasanuddin Makassar and at the Salewangan Maros Midwifery Academy in December to January 2019. The number of samples in STIKES Nani Hasanuddin were 32 people consisting of 15 people in the control group and 17 people in the intervention group while in the Salewangan Midwifery Academy as many as 23 people consisting of 12 people in the control group and 11 people in the intervention group. The control group in this study is a group that carries out conventional teaching and learning processes. The groups that will be intervened use a virtual classroom application in the learning process and then an assessment of disciplinary behavior and independence is carried out by observing attendance and independent assignments.Results:The results of the study with the chi-square test showed a comparison of behavioral indicators of the Sig value discipline. or P Value of 0.496> 0.05, there is no significant difference between the discipline behavior of the urban and sub-urban control groups. And the Sig. or P Value of 0.496> 0.05 then there is no significant difference between the independence of the control group in urban and sub-urban areas. From the results of comparison of indicators of discipline behavior of DIII Midwifery students in urban and sub-urban areas, it was found that the Sig. or P Value of 0.203> 0.05 then there is no significant difference in discipline behavior between the intervention groups in urban and sub-urban areas. And the Sig. or P Value of 0.823> 0.05, there is no significant difference in independence between the intervention groups in urban and sub-urban areas.Conclusion:  There was no significant difference in independence between the intervention groups in urban and sub-urban areas

Abstract

The emphasis of midwifery education is the process of educating and enhancing the ability of individuals to become midwives who are able to carry out midwifery practices in a professional manner. To increase student graduation in the competency test, special attention is needed as well as a good learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved. One of the factors that causes the low quality of education is the factor of teaching and learning process (teaching learning). The purpose of conducting a competency test is to protect the community by providing assurance that registered entry level health workers have the required competencies. Problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning) is a student-centered learning strategy, develops active learning, problem solving skills and field knowledge, and is based on understanding and solving problems. Study this literature through searching scientific publications in the 2017-2020 range using several databases namely Pubmed, Science Direct, and Wiley Online. as many as 7 articles that correspond to the objects discussed in the literature review with inclusion criteria and article search exclusion criteria. Pubmed literature search results N = 99, Science direct N = 67, Wiley N = 23, screening by title N = 14, Screening by Content N = 9. The use of appropriate learning methods can provide better learning outcomes, PBL is easier to apply and requires less preparation time, several techniques for applying problem based learning in the learning process: a) Paper Problem Based Learning, b) Virtual Problem-Based Learning , c) Scripting-based learning combining wearable technology, d) Hybrid Problem-Based Learning

Abstract

Objective : Clinical pathway is a process that involves multidisciplinary health professionals focusing on patient care in accordance with procedures on an ongoing basis, and with the application of clinical pathways in hospitals will have a plan in treating patients so that services are expected to be more effective, quality, quality maintained with controlled costs. Clinical Pathway as a risk evaluation mechanism evaluation tool to detect active and latent errors (latent / system errors) and near misses in Clinical Risk Management in order to maintain and improve patient safety. The purpose of writing this systematic review is to see the effectiveness of the application of clinical pathways related to risk management to service quality.Method: The search was carried out using a data base in writing a systematic review namely; Pubmed, Proquest, Willey and secondary searching, journals restricted to the last 15 years and other publications related to the topic of writing. The journals obtained used surveys and statistical descriptions to see the effectiveness of the application of clinical pathways to the quality of services in hospitals.Results: Overall the results of several research surveys of the 7 articles reviewed showed a significant positive correlation between the application of clinical pathways and the reduction in clinical risk of patient care in hospitals. There has been a stratification of the reduction in the number of days of hospitalization of patients and the index of hospitalization costs of patients in the hospital on the application of clinical flow so that it explicitly prevents over procedures such as the number of laboratory tests, number of consultations and medicines.Conclusion: The development of clinical pathway is proven to be able to improve multidisciplinary intra and inter communication, good teamwork and efficient maintenance planning. It also will automatically improve patient output, improve patient safety and provide patient satisfaction regarding service quality. To maintain optimal results and prevent the possibility of the impact of risks in clinical procedures, it is necessary to have intense, ongoing monitoring and commitment from the hospital and health workers in the implementation of clinical pathways in hospitals.

Abstract

Objective: To identify the role of parents in preventing obesity in children. Method: The method used in this literature review is using the Google Scholar and the Science Direct database. At the beginning of searching with keywords: “((prevention OR prevent OR precautions) AND (obesity) AND (children OR childhood OR pediatric))”, the results of 6 international articles were found from the range of 2016 to 2018 which corresponded to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Efforts to prevent obesity can be made by involving the role of parents, that is the role of the father to be fully responsible for instilling healthy habits in children. Besides, it is also necessary to see the involvement of the role of parents who experience stress and low income which can be a cause of obesity in children by applying attention-based parents awareness and treatment efforts involving families and health services to increase awareness in reducing the risk of obesity. Conclusion: The understanding of parents about the risk of obesity in children is very important, also about the effectiveness of parenting applied to the family, parenting competencies that parents have, ability to control their children, and parental satisfaction in applying parenting patterns to children with obesity.Keywords: Role of Parents, Prevention, Obesity, Children
