Objective: : the aim of this research is to find out the effect of intensive counselling in improving knowledge of pregnant women related to quality nutrition intake. Methods: the research used Quasi Eksperimen design method wiht pre post control grup one design.the subject consisten of 80 people divided into 2 groups.i.e. 40 people in control group and 40 people in intervention group.  the data were processed using kruskal-wallis test to analyze the differences before and after intervention was done in intensive nutrition counselling group andcontrol grupResults:  the results of the research that the mean value in intensive group in terms of knowledge is higher than that of control group.  Therefore intensive counseling is very effective to inprove respondents knowledgeConclusion:  Counseling of Intensive nutrition with using leaflet media can improve knowledge of pregnant women was much better.

Objective:This study aims to determine the relationship the relationship of serum levels of 25 (OH) vitamin D third trimester pregnant women with maternal outcomes,method: The study design was observational cohort design with a number of samples are 62 third trimester pregnant women were taken by purposive sampling at 32-37 weeks gestation The RSIA SitiKhadijah 1 Makassar In November-December 2019. The relationship was tested by using Chi-square.results: The results of analysis by using chi-squre showed higher levels of serum (OH) D does not have a significant relationship to the incidence of hypertension (0401) infection (0145) in the third trimester pregnant women.Conclusion: Levels of 25 (OH) D is not always a factor causing the incidence of hypertension and infection in pregnancy.KEYWORDS:Serum 25 vitamin D, trimester III pregnant women, maternal output

Preeclampsia (PE) can cause disruption of fetal growth and fetal death in the womb. Preeclampsia is a major cause of maternal and infant mortality and morbidity. This study aims to analyze the effect of giving ajwa dates (Phoenix Dactylifera L) on the outcome of perinatal outcomes in women at risk of preeclampsia. This research was conducted at RSIA Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. Sampling by purposive sampling. The study subjects consisted of 20 mothers who were given ajwa dates and 10 pregnant women who were not given ajwa dates, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Characteristic data were measured using a questionnaire. To assess the results of the results using the calibration sheet and measuring instruments that have been calibrated are measured 1 time. Data analysis using Chi-Square. The results showed that the majority of samples had a high risk of hypertension (90%). Outcomes have the majority normal value in the group given the Ajwa date. BBL 76.6% had normal body weight, majority APGAR score ≥ 7 weeks 86.6%, and majority gestational age ≥ 37 weeks 90%. Giving ajwa dates has an effect on perinatal birth weight and APGAR Score. Further research needs to be done on the effect of ajwa dates on perinatal outcomes and the risk of preeclampsia on marker examinations such as soluble fms like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1).

ObjectiveThis study aimed to determine the serum levels of 25 (OH) D in the third trimester pregnant women who use the hijab in RSIA Sitti Khadijah I Makassar. Method: The study design was cross-sectional study to study as many as 62 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique in the third trimester pregnant women in RSIA Sitti Khadijah I Makassar using questionnaires, and measurement of serum levels of 25 (OH) D by using CLIA (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) in PRODIA laboratory, in November-December 2019. this study tested using the mann-whitney statistical analysis. Results:Statistical test results showed that there was no difference in serum levels of vitamin D in pregnant women without the hijab and veil (p> 0.05), though the average and ranks serum levels of vitamin D in pregnant women was kept higher than pregnant women without hijab.

Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) is a questionnaire used to find out the number of frequencies and amounts of portion sizes of food and beverages consumed in a certain period of time, generally either in a day, a month or a year, especially in pregnant women. In fulfillment of this nutrient used serum levels of 25 (OH) D to see the results of vitamin D needs in pregnant women who will be good for the mother and her fetus. This study aims to find out the relationship of intake needs of vitamin D using Food Frequency Questionnaire with serum levels of 25 (OH) D in pregnant women Trimester III. The type of research used is descriptive analytics with cross-sectional study. The population in this study was all pregnant women in trimester III who visited Antenatal Care (ANC), the number of samples as many as 62 pregnant women trimester III. This research was conducted in Makassar City in November – December 2019. Uji statistics show that there is no significant relationship between intake of vitamin D needs using Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) with serum levels of 25 (OH) D in pregnant women Trimester III (p >0.05). Cross tabulation data showed that mothers who had OH (D) serum deficiency tended to have adequate intake of vitamin D intake, pregnant women who were insufficiency and serum sufficiency OH (D) tended not to have enough intake of vitamin D intake.

Vitamin D merupakan masalah gizi terbaru yang menjadi perhatian saat ini. Defisiensi atau insufiensi Vitamin D termasuk masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang global. Pada ibu hamil, status Vitamin D ibu berhubungan dengan kualitas outcome kehamilan. Manifetasi efek dari status Vitamin D yang kurang akan mempengaruhi perkembangan janin dan kesehatan ibu mulai dari pra-konsepsi, proses kelahiran dan Birth size ( ukuran bayi). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar serum 25 (OH) pada ibu hamil terhadap keluaran bayi. Desain penelitian menggunakan kohort study pada 62 sampel ibu hamil melalui penyampelan purposive dengan menilai hubungan antara kadar serum 25 (OH) vitamin D ibu hamil dengan keluaran bayi. Hubungan antara kadar serum 25 (OH) vitamin D ibu hamil dengan BBLR dan Prematur bayi di uji dengan menggunakan chi square test dan korelasi yang digunakan untuk menilai hubungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kadar serum 25 (OH) vitamin D ibu hamil dengan kejadian BBLR dengan nilai (p=0,000 <α=0,485) dan Prematur (p=0,000 <α=0,331). Penilaian kadar serum 25 (OH) vitamin D dengan menilai kelahiran bayi dapat dapat dilakukan penelitian selanjutnya dengan pemilihan syarat sampel

Objective: This study aims to study the relationship between eating patterns and self-image with nutritional status in high school girls (15-18 years) in Polongbangkeng Utara District, Takalar Regency. Method: A cross sectional study design with 170 students taken by purposive sampling technique in girls aged 15-18 years in SMA 6 and 11 in Polongbangkeng Utara Takalar Regency using questionnaires, anthropometry, and weighing levels of fat, in the month September-October 2019. This study uses analysis using the Chi Square Test. Results: The results of the analysis showed differences between adolescents' age, education age and retirement, adolescent nutritional status, results of statistical tests on diet with nutritional status based on BMI (p = 0.133> α = 0.05), self-image with nutritional status based on BMI (p = 0.86> α = 0.05), diet with nutritional status based on fat content (p = 0.333> α = 0.05), between self-image and nutritional status based on fat content (p = 0.869> α = 0.05), and between BMI with fat content (p = <0.001 <α = 0.05).

The quality of a pregnant woman's diet is important for maternal health, fetal growth and development. Nutritional counseling interventions are effective in preventing complications for both mother and fetus. This study aims to determine differences in the quality of the diet of pregnant women in the treatment group and the control group, knowing the difference in the quality of the diet of pregnant women before and after intensive nutrition counseling using leaflet media. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a one post pre control group design approach. This research was conducted at Polongbangkeng Utara Health Center, Takalar Regency. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling method. The sample in this study was pregnant women trimester I-III who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The group that received intensive nutrition counseling was 35 people and the group without intensive nutrition counseling was 35 people. Intensive nutritional counseling was provided by researchers with the help of media leaflets then mentoring with a target of six sessions / meetings for 45 minutes. Every 7 (seven) days will be assessed again the quality of the diet per individual Respondents record the food consumed in URT (Household Size) or gram, then researchers estimate / estimate URT (estimated food record) into a measure of weight (grams). The calculation of diet quality is calculated using Nutrisurvey 2007 software. The results showed there were differences in the quality of the diets of pregnant women in the treatment and control groups with a p value = 0.002 <0.05. The results of statistical tests using Wilcoxon indicate there are differences in the quality of the diet of pregnant women before and after intensive nutrition counseling is given (p <0.05). Intensive nutritional counseling using leaflet media can improve the quality of the diet of pregnant women.

Background: Insulin resistance is a condition in which insulin cannot take up glucose, increasing blood glucose. Elderly people are more exposed to insulin resistance, requiring dietary interventions that extend longevity. Trehalose, a naturally occurring sugar, showed potentially reduce insulin resistance which can be measured using the HOMA-IR index. Objectives: This study aimed to assess HOMA-IR levels as a parameter of insulin resistance in old rats after giving trehalose sugar. Methods: Experimental research with 28 male Wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) was separated into 4 groups, the control group of young rats (Group A), the control group of old rats (Group B), a group of old rats that were given 2% Trehalose solution (Group C), and a group of old rats that given 2% sucrose solution (Group D) that observed for 8 weeks. Results: The results showed differences in HOMA-IR levels (p<0.001) between old and young subjects. The intervention in Group C was optimal in reducing levels of HOMA-IR (p<0.001) by 18.2% compared with the old control, while Group D increased levels of HOMA-IR by 14.3% (p<0.001) compared with the old control. The age of the subjects with HOMA-IR level is positively correlated (p<0.001; r=0.721) and the weight of subjects with the HOMA-IR level is also positively correlated (p<0.001; r=0.698), indicating that the older and the greater weight of subject resulting in the bigger of HOMA-IR value. Conclusion: Trehalose is effective in reducing HOMA-IR levels as a parameter of insulin resistance in old rats.

Background: Vascular inflammation is one of contributing factors to the pathogenesis of arterial aging. Age-related activation of the inflammatory process can lead to various macro-and microvascular pathologies. The pro-inflammatory microenvironment generated in the vascular wall can lead to the pathogenesis of vascular diseases due to an increase in vascular dysfunction. Trehalose is a disaccharide that has several functions, protecting against stressors (one of them is reactive oxygen species/ROS) and preventing the inflammatory responses induced by endotoxic shock. Objectives: To analyze the effect of trehalose supplementation on macrovascular inflammatory processes related to the aging process. Methods: The experimental study used 28 male Wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) which were divided into 4 groups, young control group (Group A), old control group (Group B), 2% sucrose group (Group C), and 2% trehalose group (Group D); were then observed for 8 weeks. Results: The results showed that there were no significant differences in aortic tissue NFκB-p65 expression between old and young subjects (p=0.247). The 2% trehalose group had 40% lower aortic tissue NFkB-p65 expression compared to the old control group (p=0.012); while the group given 2% sucrose solution had a 30% higher aortic tissue NFkB-p65 expression compared to the trehalose group (p=0.018). Conclusion: Trehalose has a good effect on aging-associated vascular inflammatory processes that can be seen from the low aortic tissue NFκB-p65 expression in old rats.
