Haryoto Lumajang Methods: The research design used in this study is correlational analysis. The population of this study was terminal patients who were treated in the ICU at RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang with a monthly average. The sample in this study was terminal patients who were treated in the ICU of RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang taken by purposive sampling technique that reached 33 people. Data were collected using the FACIT-Pal questionnaire & IPOS questionnaire, and analysed using the Spearman Rank test. Results: The results of the study showed that the management of palliative care in the ICU of RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang showed quite good results (60.6%), and the quality of life of terminal patients in the ICU room of RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang showed quite good results (57.6%). The results of the analysis test using the SPSS with the Spearman Rank test obtained p = 0.004 with a significance level of 0.05 (p value = 0.004 ≤ 0.05), which means that there is a correlation between management of palliative care and quality of life of terminal patients in the ICU of RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang Conclusion: Based on the results of research showing that there was a correlation between palliative care management and the quality of life of terminal patients, nurses must improve palliative care services to achieve holistic well-being which includes physical, psychological, social and spiritual for terminal patients. Abstract

Objective: Occupational lung disease is a disease that occurs due to inhalation of dangerous particles, mist, vapor or gas while a person is working. Ammonia, which is also a chemical substance, has dangerous effects on humans, one of which is inhalation of ammonia, which can cause acute lung injury and pulmonary edema and even death. Impaired lung function is not only caused by high dust levels, but several factors characteristic of the worker himself can also influence the condition of the lungs, such as age, smoking habits, history of lung disease, compliance with the use of of personal protective equipment (PPE), nutritional status, sports activity and length of work. Methods: This study aims to analyze the correlation between compliance with PPE use and length of work with lung function disorders in PT employees. XYZ Pasuruan logistics division. This study used a correlational analytic design retrospective cohort approach using observation sheets and MCU spirometry results and analyzed using SPSS software. Research location was PT. XYZ Pasuruan has 2 locations, namely the chemical logistics section with 12 employees and the ammonia terminal section with 12 employees. Results: The results of the analysis using a statistical regression test of compliance with PPE use and length of work with impaired lung function obtained a P value of 0.000, so it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between compliance with PPE use and length of work with impaired lung function. The results of other research show that there are variations in working hours, use of PPE and vital lung capacity among workers. From the statistical tests, the p value obtained for the correlation between working years and impaired vital lung capacity was 0.001 and the p value for the correlation between PPE use and impaired lung function was 0.000. Conclusion: This is in line with research conducted by PT. XYZ that there is a correlation between compliance with PPE use and length of work with significant lung function disorders.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents in the age range 12 – 17 years are characterized by physical and psychological maturity. one of the physical maturity of adolescent girls since menstruation occurs and the growth of secondary sexual signs. Menstrual periods in teenagers can cause pain due to uterine contractions. The incidence of menstrual pain in Central Java is 56% which is quite high when compared to the incidence of primary menstrual pain in Indonesia. For young women, menstrual pain is at risk of causing learning disorders in the form of lack of enthusiasm, decreased concentration and even not going to school and can reduce the quality of life for teenagers. This research was conducted on young women at SMA N 1 Gebog Kudus to apply Evidence Based Practice (EBP) physical exercise for dysmenorrhea to reduce the incidence of menstrual pain. The research method uses a Quasi Experiment with a One Group Pre Test – Post Test research design. Three (3) methods were used to collect data with total sample, statifield random sampling and purposive sampling. Results: Based on the dysmenorrhea physical exercise treatment of 32 respondents, it was found that the average level of pain before being given dysmenorrhea physical exercise treatment was 6.88 and the average after treatment was 3.23. The average difference before and after is 3.63 with a p value of 0.000. These data show that there is a statistically significant difference in the average level of pain before and after dysmenorrhea physical exercise treatment. Conclusion: Menstrual pain in adolescent girls can be controlled with dysmenorrhea physical exercise activities.

Abstract

The use of plastic is increasing day by day resulting in accumulation of waste. This has a bad impact on ecosystem damage because plastic waste is difficult to decompose. Therefore, research on the manufacture of bioplastics was carried out using the raw material of kepok banana peel waste which has 0.98% starch. Bioplastics is made by soaking 50 grams of kepok banana peel in 100 ml of distilled water which has been mixed with 2% citric acid as much as 2 grams. Furthermore, the marinade is in a blender until smooth and filtered to extract the starch. The filtration results were put into a beaker glass and added with 150 ml of 90% ethanol then covered with aluminum foil and heated using a heater at 70℃ for 30 minutes. After that the solution was transferred to a glass plate and left for 1 hour at room temperature. After going through the cooling stage the solution on the glass plate is in the oven with a temperature of 90℃ for 1 hour. After passing through the baking period, the bioplastic from the raw material for banana peel waste is ready. Where the result is a brown bioplastic sheet with a smooth and rough layer and with a low level of elasticity. The bioplastic can decompose completely 100% after 15 days.
