Abstract

This research examines related to STEM learning. This study discusses the positive aspects and limitations of STEM learning. This study uses Literature Review or literature review with a model of synthesizing Scopus indexed scientific articles, totaling 15 articles. The results of the literature review show that there are positive aspects in STEM learning, namely creating cohesive learning, improving science process skills, influencing student achievement, motivating students in learning, increasing student creativity, increasing student career interest. and learning becomes more meaningful because it can develop problem solving skills, creative and analytical thinking, and collaboration. Then the limitations in STEM learning are the lack of division of tasks, scheduling, lack of dexterity, disputes. In addition, the use of technological equipment requires special time before lessons. Especially in the product design process, trying to provide sufficient space and order in the classroom for group work. The topics used are only suitable for STEM learning topics related to complex problems.

Abstract

The role of the science teacher in the learning process is as a facilitator in achieving learning objectives. Teachers are involved in the process of planning, implementing and reflecting. This is a challenge for teachers in managing their classes and enhancing their professional identity. Implementation of lesson study can be used as an alternative for school-based teacher professional development so as to improve the performance of science learners. This research is a classroom action research by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model through lesson study with the stages of plan, do see. This research collaborated with 4 PPG students and science expert teachers. Student learning outcomes show that 75% of students complete above KKM 75 so that there are only 25% of other students who have not completed. However, the results of the percentage of students' classical completeness only reached 63% so that in one class they had not achieved optimal learning mastery.

Abstract

Pudak is a dish that is traditionally eaten in Gresik, East Java, and has become a living record of the city's evolution through the years. Pudak possesses numerous excellent Gresik qualities and features that should be conserved because it is the indigenous wisdom of the city. An understanding of science, or information that can be replicated and is acknowledged by the scientific community, also known as ethnoscience, must be linked to the preservation of local wisdom values. The process of integrating cultural norms and traditions with scientific knowledge is known as ethnoscience. The traditional Pudak meal typical of Gresik City was the subject of an ethnoscientific study, which tries to represent indigenous knowledge of the community with scientific understanding. Research data for this study were gathered from linked research publications and exploratory activities utilizing a qualitative methodology based on ethno-science studies. The "Pudak Sari Kelapa" in Karangpoh Village, Kemuteran, Gresik Regency, one of the earliest Pudak manufacturers in Gresik City, was the site of exploration efforts. The research process for this ethno-science-based literature study consists of a number of steps, including gathering data from the library, conducting interviews, taking notes, analyzing, collecting concepts, developing them, and coming to a conclusion. The study's findings demonstrate the strong connection between real community science and scientific knowledge in the production of Pudak as well as in its key components, packaging, and storage techniques.

Abstract

This research is motivated by technological developments in the world of education where the learning process, especially learning evaluation, is time to be integrated with the use of digital technology. The purpose of this study was to analyze digital literacy-oriented evaluation of digestive material science literacy in humans in elementary schools using qualitative methods. This evaluation analysis uses the Plickers platform. This research involved one teacher and forty-five students from one of the public elementary schools in Bandung regency. One teacher and fifty students were selected based on a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study include the use of interview sheets and observation sheets. The findings from this study indicate that elementary school teachers have not fully mastered technology and integrated it into the learning process, especially in the implementation of in-class learning evaluations, students feel bored and tense when implementing science learning, especially when conducting evaluations in class. The teacher also has not developed questions using a framework that hones students' literacy skills. Keywords: 1st Digital Evaluation; 2nd Elementary school; 3rd Digestive System In Humans.

Abstract

CLIS is a learning model that seeks to develop students' ideas or ideas about a particular problem in learning and construct ideas or ideas based on the results of observations or experiments. The steps in the CLIS model consist of five stages: orientation, elicitation of beliefs, restructuring of ideas, application of concepts, consolidation of ideas or review of change in views. The idea rearrangement stage is still divided into three parts: disclosure and exchange of ideas or clarification and discussion, opening a conflict situation or exposure to a conflict situation, and construction of new ideas and evaluation or building of new ideas and evaluation. The CLIS learning model is suitable for learning, especially in science subjects, which can develop students' critical thinking skills and scientific attitudes. Critical thinking ability is a high-level thinking ability. Critical thinking is strengthening cognitive skills or strategies in achieving goals. Critical thinking aims to consider what will be obtained in making decisions with critical and logical reasons. A scientific attitude is part of science learning. Scientific perspectives tend to be attitudes towards whether students like or dislike science learning.
