Abstract

Invertebrate is a very wide topic, that includes approximately eight phyla. Problem in teaching this topic is the limitation in time to achieve many learning indicators. The alternative efforts to overcome this problem is by implementing the blended learning. Blended learning is a kind of learning that combines face-to-face learning in the classroom and online learning that can be conducted everywhere. This study aimed to evaluate the learning process of blended learning using Schoology, student responses and students learning outcomes of invertebrate material through blended learning using Schoology. This research was conducted by involving 33 students of Grade X by using one group pre-test and post-test design. Data obtained were learning process based on lesson plan and student activities, student responses as well as students learning outcomes. Instruments used were observation sheets, responses questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest sheets. The data of learning process and student activities were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. Data of learning outcomes were analyzed based on learning mastery and gain score. The results of this study indicated that learning process of both face-to-face learning and online learning were very successful, students also gave very good responses to the implementation of blended learning. In addition, it’s proven that the implementation of blended learning can improve the student learning outcomes significantly.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIndeks kualitas air di dunia telah mengalami penurunan.. Sumber air yang terkontaminasi harus dikelola untuk mencegah banyaknya kerusakan di bumi. Salah satu tujuan global dalam SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) adalah air bersih dan sanitasi (Clean water and sanitation). Nasturtium officinale atau yang juga dikenal dengan nama selada air adalah salah satu tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bioremidiasi, khususnya dalam membersihkan air yang terkontaminasi oleh logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan temuan terdahulu tentang efektivitas tanaman selada air, kelebihan dan kekurangan tanaman selada air dan mekanisme selada air dalam bekerja secara optimal. Jenis penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode systematic review human . Literatur dipilih berdasarkan tiga kriteria: relevan dengan konteks, jurnal dalam 5 tahun terakhir, dan dapat diakses oleh umum. Setelah proses seleksi, 4 artikel dipilih untuk direview. Dalam artikel-artikel ini, selada air terbukti krusial dalam memproses air terdegradasi lewat Rhizofiltration. Kinerjanya dalam mengakumulasi logam berat sangat potensial untuk meningkatkan ekorestorasi perairan.Kata kunci: Selada Air, Rhizofiltration technology, Ekorestorasi Perairan ABSTRACTThe water quality index in the world has decreased. Contaminated water sources must be managed to prevent much damage to the earth. One of the global goals in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is clean water and sanitation. Nasturtium officinale or also known as watercress is one of the plants that can be used for bioremidiation, especially in cleaning water contaminated by heavy metals. This study aims to explain previous findings about the effectiveness of watercress plants, advantages and disadvantages of watercress plants and the mechanism of watercress in working optimally. This type of research uses the method of systematic human review. Literature is selected based on three criteria: context-relevant, journals within the last 5 years, and publicly accessible. After the selection process, 4 articles were selected for review. In these articles, watercress proved crucial in processing degraded water through rhizofiltration. Its performance in accumulating heavy metals has the potential to improve aquatic ecorestoration.Keywords: Nasturtium officanale, Rhizofiltration technology, Aquatic Ecorestoration

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the use of botanical pesticides from Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) as an alternative control measure for fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) on maize plants. Botanical pesticides had the potential to replace chemical pesticides in efforts to reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health. This study used a literature review method with secondary data obtained from Science and Technology Index (SINTA), Google Scholar, Research Gate, IOP Science, and Science Direct databases, covering the period of 2015-2023, using keywords such as botanical pesticides, Neem, and fall armyworm. The results of the study indicated that the use of Neem extract (Azadirachta indica) as a botanical insecticide was effective and environmentally friendly in controlling fall armyworm infestation on maize plants. Neem oil spray was shown to reduce fall armyworm infestation in maize plants in several studies. Natural chemical compounds in Neem such as Azadirachtin, salannin, meliantriol, and Nimbin had insecticidal effects, inhibiting pest insect growth, reducing feeding behavior, reducing egg production and hatching, and increasing mortality. The use of botanical pesticides from Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) had the potential as an effective and environmentally friendly alternative for fall armyworm control on maize plants. However, further research was needed to optimize the use of botanical pesticides from Neem in controlling fall armyworm and evaluating their impacts on the environment and human health.

Abstract

The goals of the Merdeka Curriculum is to meet each student’s unique and their needs of learning. Through differentiated learning, this could be put into practice. Assessment for Learning is a means to realize the differenciated learning. Nonetheless, a lot of teachers continue having trouble using this Assessment for Learning instrument, so this assistance activities are needed. These activities were carried out at SMPN in Pasuruan Regency which involved teacher association (MGMP) consisting of natural science teachers throughout Pasuruan Regency. The result of this activity is an improvement in science teachers' understanding regarding Assessment for Learning in the implementation of differentiated learning, shown by an increase in pretest and posttest scores. Apart from that, this mentoring activity also received a very good response from the activity participants.

Abstract

Air pollution is still an environmental problem that has not been resolved until now. There are several alternative methods that can be applied to monitor air quality levels, one of which is using bioindicators. Lichens can be used as bioindicators because they are accumulators and are very adaptive to changes in environmental conditions. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of Crustose sp. (Cryptochemua) and Foliose sp. (Parmelia) lichens as bioindicators of air pollution levels. This study used a systematic review method. Literature was selected based on 3 criteria: relevant to the topic, journal articles within 5 years, and from SCOPUS or SINTA accredited journals. After the selection process, 6 articles were selected for review based on the specified criteria. The results showed that to identify Crustose sp. (Cryptochemua) and Foliose sp. (Parmelia) lichens as bioindicators of air pollution, it is not enough to only consider the number of lichens or morphology found. However, it is also necessary to identify the affected lichen species, biotic and abiotic factors in order to obtain effective and valid results. For future researchers, it is recommended to compare the efficiency of Crustose sp. and Foliose sp. lichen plants as bioindicators of air pollution with other plants.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan respons siswa setelah menggunakan alat peraga Montessori dalam pembelajaran pada materi Sistem Tata Surya. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah poor experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII-H dengan jumlah 34 siswa di salah satu MTsN di Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes dan angket respons siswa. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan N-gain. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui rerata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada pertemuan pertama 90,9% dan pertemuan kedua 95,4% dengan kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan hasil belajar pemahaman menggunakan N-gain 0,75 dan keterampilan proses 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil respons siswa memiliki rerata 85,29% dengan kategori sangat baik. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar pemahaman dan hasil belajar keterampilan proses. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan alat peraga Montessori pada materi sistem tata surya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa MTs Kelas VII.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve several aspects of education at SD Negeri Wonocolo 1, especially literacy and numeracy. Through strengthening numeracy and science literacy, it is hoped that students will not only be able to read and count, but also understand scientific concepts in everyday life. Another objective of this PKM is to utilize school land through the implementation of the STEM-based P5 Project. The PKM implementation method is the preparation stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage and program sustainability. This approach aims to improve teachers' abilities in implementing P5 teaching modules that integrate numeracy and science literacy using the school context through the STEM platform. The results of this community service are the formation of a community of practitioners between the principal and partner teachers, this community is able to share knowledge and discuss learning tools that are relevant to numeracy and science literacy, and facilitate active participation in STEM projects at school. Furthermore, there is an increase in teacher skills in the aspects of numeracy and science literacy based on STEM by ≥ 70% based on pre-test and post-test evaluations after training. The compilation of 3 P5 teaching modules covering the dimensions of creativity, independence, mutual cooperation, and global diversity, implemented in the context of STEM with the theme of Sustainable Development Goals, and the topic of Land Ecosystems (life on land), which resulted in three P5 teaching modules according to phases A, B, and C of the independent curriculum that are relevant for SDN Wonocolo 1.

Abstract

Tradisi Mendhak Sanggring di Desa Tlemang, Lamongan, merupakan warisan budaya yang memiliki nilai luhur yang tinggi. Tradisi ini tidak hanya menjadi sarana pelestarian budaya, tetapi juga memiliki peran penting dalam konservasi lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti lebih jelas mengenai tradisi Mendhak Sanggring sebagai potret pelestarian budaya dan konservasi alam dan lingkungan, serta mengungkap tujuan dan nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa Tradisi Mendhak Sanggring merupakan salah satu upaya pelestarian budaya yang ada di Desa Tlemang, Lamongan. Tradisi ini, yang telah diwariskan secara turun-temurun, bukan sekadar ritual biasa, melainkan sebuah manifestasi kearifan lokal yang menjaga identitas dan nilai-nilai luhur masyarakat. Di samping perannya sebagai pelestari budaya, Tradisi Mendhak Sanggring juga memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam upaya konservasi lingkungan. Aktivitas "dhuduk sendang", yang melibatkan pembersihan mata air, bukan sekadar simbolis, melainkan cerminan kesadaran ekologis yang mendalam. Melalui tradisi ini, masyarakat secara aktif diajak untuk menjaga kebersihan dan kelestarian sumber daya alam, khususnya air sebagai kebutuhan pokok.

Abstract

Ritual Labuh Sesaji di Telaga Sarangan merupakan tradisi budaya yang kaya akan nilai-nilai ekologi spiritual dan konservasi alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran ritual Labuh Sesaji dalam membangun kesadaran ekologi spiritual dan mendukung upaya konservasi alam di Kabupaten Magetan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber tertulis dengan kata kunci “Labuh Sesaji”, “Larung Sesaji Magetan”, “Kearifan Lokal Magetan”, “Konservasi Alam”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Labuh Sesaji bukan hanya sekadar tradisi budaya, tetapi juga wujud nyata dari ekologi spiritual yang menekankan hubungan harmonis antara manusia, alam, dan dimensi spiritual. Dalam aspek konservasi alam, Labuh Sesaji berperan melalui gotong royong, pelarungan sesaji, dan ekowisata, di mana masyarakat diajarkan menjaga lingkungan sebagai tanggung jawab spiritual dan sosial. Meskipun demikian, pelestarian tradisi ini menghadapi tantangan seperti modernisasi, globalisasi, dan berkurangnya minat generasi muda. Untuk menjaga keberlangsungan Labuh Sesaji, diperlukan upaya berkelanjutan seperti meningkatkan pengalaman budaya, menyebarkan pengetahuan budaya, menumbuhkan rasa bangga terhadap warisan lokal, serta dukungan pemerintah dan pemanfaatan budaya sebagai daya tarik wisata.
