Abstract

Invertebrate is a very wide topic, that includes approximately eight phyla. Problem in teaching this topic is the limitation in time to achieve many learning indicators. The alternative efforts to overcome this problem is by implementing the blended learning. Blended learning is a kind of learning that combines face-to-face learning in the classroom and online learning that can be conducted everywhere. This study aimed to evaluate the learning process of blended learning using Schoology, student responses and students learning outcomes of invertebrate material through blended learning using Schoology. This research was conducted by involving 33 students of Grade X by using one group pre-test and post-test design. Data obtained were learning process based on lesson plan and student activities, student responses as well as students learning outcomes. Instruments used were observation sheets, responses questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest sheets. The data of learning process and student activities were analyzed descriptive-quantitatively. Data of learning outcomes were analyzed based on learning mastery and gain score. The results of this study indicated that learning process of both face-to-face learning and online learning were very successful, students also gave very good responses to the implementation of blended learning. In addition, it’s proven that the implementation of blended learning can improve the student learning outcomes significantly.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIndeks kualitas air di dunia telah mengalami penurunan.. Sumber air yang terkontaminasi harus dikelola untuk mencegah banyaknya kerusakan di bumi. Salah satu tujuan global dalam SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) adalah air bersih dan sanitasi (Clean water and sanitation). Nasturtium officinale atau yang juga dikenal dengan nama selada air adalah salah satu tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bioremidiasi, khususnya dalam membersihkan air yang terkontaminasi oleh logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan temuan terdahulu tentang efektivitas tanaman selada air, kelebihan dan kekurangan tanaman selada air dan mekanisme selada air dalam bekerja secara optimal. Jenis penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode systematic review human . Literatur dipilih berdasarkan tiga kriteria: relevan dengan konteks, jurnal dalam 5 tahun terakhir, dan dapat diakses oleh umum. Setelah proses seleksi, 4 artikel dipilih untuk direview. Dalam artikel-artikel ini, selada air terbukti krusial dalam memproses air terdegradasi lewat Rhizofiltration. Kinerjanya dalam mengakumulasi logam berat sangat potensial untuk meningkatkan ekorestorasi perairan.Kata kunci: Selada Air, Rhizofiltration technology, Ekorestorasi Perairan ABSTRACTThe water quality index in the world has decreased. Contaminated water sources must be managed to prevent much damage to the earth. One of the global goals in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) is clean water and sanitation. Nasturtium officinale or also known as watercress is one of the plants that can be used for bioremidiation, especially in cleaning water contaminated by heavy metals. This study aims to explain previous findings about the effectiveness of watercress plants, advantages and disadvantages of watercress plants and the mechanism of watercress in working optimally. This type of research uses the method of systematic human review. Literature is selected based on three criteria: context-relevant, journals within the last 5 years, and publicly accessible. After the selection process, 4 articles were selected for review. In these articles, watercress proved crucial in processing degraded water through rhizofiltration. Its performance in accumulating heavy metals has the potential to improve aquatic ecorestoration.Keywords: Nasturtium officanale, Rhizofiltration technology, Aquatic Ecorestoration

Abstract

Rats are nuisance animals that can damage the economy and bring diseases to humans. To control rat populations, rodenticides are often used that contain toxic chemicals that are not environmentally friendly. However, there is an alternative to reducing the use of rodenticides, namely using vegetable rodenticides made from natural ingredients such as cassava which contains cyanide acid. Cyanide acid is very dangerous and can cause illness and even death if ingested. This research is a literature review. Research conducted by Fazriyawati and Rahmawati used 50 male white mice of Mus musculus species as samples. Samples were treated with cassava rodenticide doses of 40 grams, 60 grams, 80 grams, and 100 grams. The results showed that the highest mice mortality occurred at a dose of 100 grams with an average bait consumption of 62.48 grams and a mice mortality percentage of 60%. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that raw cassava has the potential as an effective vegetable rodenticide. Keywords: Mice, Plant-based Rodenticide, Raw Cassava

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa setelah menerapkan LKPD berbasis Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) pada pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada salah satu SMP di Sidoarjo dengan subjek penelitian kelas VII B sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa lembar tes tulis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains dengan menggunakan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada saat pretest memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 38,03 dan mengalami peningkatan pada hasil posttest memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 84,29. Selain itu, dapat diperoleh hasil N-gain sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan LKPD berbasis Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan keterampilan yang melibatkan segenap kemampuan siswa dalam memperoleh pengetahuan berdasarkan fenomena alam dan membangun konsep IPA. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains terhadap model pembelajaran discovery. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan Pre-Experimental Designs dengan menggunakan bentuk One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh siswa kelas VII semester II salah satu diantara SMP di Sidoarjo. Sampel penelitian yakni kelas VII-C dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar soal tes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain. Peningkatan setiap indikator keterampilan proses sains dengan kategori sedang yaitu indikator mempertanyakan dan indikator merencanakan dan melakukan penyelidikan. Sedangkan, dengan kategori tinggi yaitu indikator mengamati, indikator menganalisis data dan informasi, dan indikator mengomunikasikan hasil. Hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP dengan menerapkan pembelajaran discovery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran dengan bantuan multimedia interaktif pada materi rotasi dan revolusi bumi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Designs dengan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Mojosari. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, lembar pretest dan posttest dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan skor N-Gain dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar pemahaman dengan analisis N-Gain <g> sebesar 0,9. Sedangkan hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,85. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan multimedia interaktif pada sub materi rotasi dan revolusi bumi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pre-experimental designs dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test designs. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIIA salah satu sekolah di Sidoarjo dengan jumlah sampel 31. Instrumen yang digunkaan yaitu soal tentang pencemaran lingkungan. Data didapatkan melalui tes tulis pada aspek pemahaman dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dimana aspek pemahaman mendapatkan N-gain 0,92 dengan kriteria tinggi dan aspek keterampilan proses sains mendapatkan N-gain 0,72 dengan kriteria tinggi. Pada indikator mempertanyakan dan merencanakan masing – masing hasil rata – rata N-gainnya 0,67 dan 0,70 dengan kriteria sedang. Dan pada indikator mengevaluasi dan merefleksi serta memproses, menganalisis data dan informasi mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi dan masing – masing rerata N-gainnya yaitu 0,72 dan 0,84.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the use of botanical pesticides from Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) as an alternative control measure for fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) on maize plants. Botanical pesticides had the potential to replace chemical pesticides in efforts to reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health. This study used a literature review method with secondary data obtained from Science and Technology Index (SINTA), Google Scholar, Research Gate, IOP Science, and Science Direct databases, covering the period of 2015-2023, using keywords such as botanical pesticides, Neem, and fall armyworm. The results of the study indicated that the use of Neem extract (Azadirachta indica) as a botanical insecticide was effective and environmentally friendly in controlling fall armyworm infestation on maize plants. Neem oil spray was shown to reduce fall armyworm infestation in maize plants in several studies. Natural chemical compounds in Neem such as Azadirachtin, salannin, meliantriol, and Nimbin had insecticidal effects, inhibiting pest insect growth, reducing feeding behavior, reducing egg production and hatching, and increasing mortality. The use of botanical pesticides from Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) had the potential as an effective and environmentally friendly alternative for fall armyworm control on maize plants. However, further research was needed to optimize the use of botanical pesticides from Neem in controlling fall armyworm and evaluating their impacts on the environment and human health.

Abstract

The goals of the Merdeka Curriculum is to meet each student’s unique and their needs of learning. Through differentiated learning, this could be put into practice. Assessment for Learning is a means to realize the differenciated learning. Nonetheless, a lot of teachers continue having trouble using this Assessment for Learning instrument, so this assistance activities are needed. These activities were carried out at SMPN in Pasuruan Regency which involved teacher association (MGMP) consisting of natural science teachers throughout Pasuruan Regency. The result of this activity is an improvement in science teachers' understanding regarding Assessment for Learning in the implementation of differentiated learning, shown by an increase in pretest and posttest scores. Apart from that, this mentoring activity also received a very good response from the activity participants.
