Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze the income of corn farming, household (HH) food security, and factors that affect HH food security in Simpang Subdistrict, South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency.  This research uses a survey method, with the samples of 60 corn farmer HHs from two villages that have less than 1 hectare of land.  Food security (FS) is measured by the share of food expenditure (SFE) and availability in addition to food sufficiency level.  The calculation of the HH expenditure is based onmonthly period, while food sufficiency level used the indicators of energy and protein sufficiency , measured byusing a recall method.  The results of the research showed that the average of corn farming income was Rp7.937.429,11 in first seasonand Rp3.743.929,11 in second season, HH income was Rp5.085.500,24 per month.  Based on the SFE there were 50 HHs having the number of SFEless than 60% (food secured).  Based on the sufficiency of food energy and protein, there were 15 HHs (25%) categorized as enough to excess energy sources and 29 HHs (48,33%) categorized as enough to excess protein sources.  The results of cross-classification between SFE and the energy sufficiency showed that there were 11 HHs infood secured, 39 HHs in food-less secured, 3 HHsfood vulnerableand 7 HHsfood-insecured catergory.  Factors affecting the adequacy level of energy and protein of the household farmers were family size and food expenditure.Key words: adequacy of energy and protein, food security, share of food expenditure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the corn farm income, food pattern and the Nutritional adequacy level (NAL) of under five year’s old children (balita) from The Corn Farmers’ Families. The study usedsurvey method by involvingall 58 balita in Pematang Baru Village of Palas Subdistrict of South Lampung Regency. This research location was chosen for it has the largest corn producing areas. The data was analyzed descriptively and statistically by multiple linear regression quantitavely by calculating R/C ratio and NAL.  The study results showed that corn farming was profitable for its total R/C value was greater than 1 and R/C of cash cost was1.49. Food Pattern of the balita indicated by the frequency of consumption per week of rice 16.17 times, packaging milk 2.36 times, spinach 1.30 times, banana 1.21 times, and tea  2,34 times. The average NAL of was as follows:energy 59.31%, protein 88.86%, fat 35.97, carbohydrate 73.14%, calcium 29.54%, phosphorus 58.54%, Fe 71.63 percent, vitamin A 69.93%, and vitamin C 52.61%.  The NAL of energy, fat, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A and vitamin C fell into the category of severe deficit since they’re less than 70 percent. Abstract

This study purposed to  measure supply chain performance of KWT Melati products and analyze value added of KWT Melati products. This Research was conducted in Tribudisyukur Village at Kebun Tebu Subdistrict, West Lampung. The research data was collected on April 2015 using survey method. Sample size was 25 respondents who were selected using purposive sampling. Analysis Data Method used for supply chain management performance was Supply Chain Operation References (SCOR) 9,0 and for value added analysis was Hayami method. The result of this study showed that (1) Based on the result of this study, there is an ineffectiveness on management cost especially on Total Supply Chain Management Cost (TSMC) metric for all products of KWT Melati, this is caused by the amount of cost spent on producing (2) The most profitable product of KWT Melati is coffee package 25gr with value added ratio 55,68%  and gave added value  Rp52.400,00  for every kg coffee production. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitive and comparative advantages of mangosteen farm in Tanggamus Regency. The respondents were 45 farmers. Sample based on the age of the plant, from a number of farmers who have the same age plants and selecting a simple random sampling. The data was analyzed by PAM (Policy Analysis Matrix) analysis model. Assumption for the economic age of the mangosteen plant was 20 years. The results showed that the private revenue was Rp164,288,020 and social revenue was Rp397,293,431. Private profit was Rp35,207,465 and social profit was Rp266,725,184. Based on the analysis of competitiveness, it showed that   mangosteen farm in Tanggamus Regency had comparative and competitive advantages, in which PCR values ​​0.764 and DRCR 0.300. Mangosteen farm in Tanggamus was sensitive to a decrease in output production by 20%, and a decrease in output prices by 30%. Keywords: competitiveness, mangosteen, PAM, sensitivity

Abstract

 The attributes used in the previous studies of the restaurant consumer satisfaction were very varied.  Therefore, this study aims to identify the attributes of the consumer satisfaction and service forthe processed chicken restaurants in Bandar Lampung.  The data was collected in September-October 2015.  The technique used for sampling was accidental sampling in which  data from 60 respondents were the scores for the attributes of satisfaction and service. Moreover, the data were tested by using the validity and reliability tests. The next step is gathering the data of attributes from 60 respondents of two processed chicken restaurants. The analysis methods used were descriptive analysis, validity and reliability test and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know financial performance, costumer’s performance, internal business process performance, and employee satisfaction. This research was conducted at a n agricultural company in Lembang, West Java.  This research was a case study in which data was analyzed method by Balanced Score card approach. The data was collected on August 2015. All data was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis.  The result showed that the financial performance of the Agricultural Company was on bad category in which scores obtained was only one out of six as a maximum score. The Costumers performance was on good category by obtaining score of five out of six. The Internal Business Process performance category was on quite well in which scores obtained was four. The Employee satisfaction performance category was on quite well, in which scores obtained was two.  In overall showed that the plantation performance was quite well. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the value chain of coffee commodity, to review and to analyze the economic contribution of coffee to household incomes of coffee farmers and also to assess and to examine the role of coffee plantations sector in supporting the economy of West Lampung Regency. The experiment is conducted in June to July 2013 in Gedung Surian Sub-District, West Lampung Regency. The Respodent are coffee farmers, coffee traders, and women’s farming groups. Data analysis includes an economic analysis of coffee smallholders, marketing efficiency analysis and regional analysis. The results are: (1) Coffee commodity chain in the research area is quite long and complicated because the farmers faced many difficulties to sell their coffee directly so farmer as price taker. (2) Coffee sector contributes significantly to overall household income of coffee farmers. Farmers' share of household expenditure for non-food needs, especially tertiary is the highest. (3) Coffee deserves to be developed in West Lampung because it has rapid growth and competitive. Coffee plantation sector also employs more than 20% people and contributed 6,49% to GDP of West Lampung Regency. The existence of additional potential revenue is Rp287.168.700.000,-  from the coffee if it was processed in West Lampung.Key words: economic analysis, coffee smallholders, regional economic, value chain

Abstract

This study compared the quality of rubber between the villages of rural development programs and nonrubberdevelopment program. This study that of describe the socio-economic characteristics of the farm andrubber farmers, identify farmers efforts to improve the quality of rubber produced, as well as analyze theincrease of rubber farm income gains due to the efforts to improve the quality of rubber in particular the useof formic acid as a latex coagulant. The method used in this study is a quantitative analysis method, themethod of calculation income of farmers and rubber farmers profits calculation. Research location are theprogram village (Lesung Bhakti) and non-program village (Pagar Jaya). Respondents used in this studyabout 85 people, divided by 45 villages program and 40 non-program villages. From the analysis resultswere found that the program village has a higher added income than that of non-program villages. As resultshows that farmers that do increase of rubber quality earn extra income than the farmers that do notincrease activities rubber quality.
