Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of PT ABC based on the Balanced Scorecard in Mesuji Regency. The research is a case study, conducted by using secondary data of PT ABC from 2015-2017 periods to analyze financial perspectives. For other perspectives were conducted through the calculation of the results of interview using a questionnaire. The population in this study are PT ABC customers and employees. While the samples are five companies for customer respondents, and 60 people for employee respondents. Data collection research was conducted in January 2019. The result of the research showed that the overall performance of PT ABC was in fairly good category. In a financial perspective, variables of return on investment and total assets turnover have shown good performance. For the customer perspective, it showed good performance by looking at variables of customer satisfaction and customer retention. In the perspective of internal business processes, it showed that conditions were still worse as the operating profit margin has decreased and the index "K" obtained exceeded the tolerance threshold. For the perspective of learning and growth, it showed in fairly well condition by looking at employee satisfaction scores and employee retention.Key words: balanced scorecard, financial, performance

Abstract

The research is to analyze competence of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), ability of farmer groups, and analyze relationship between the AEWs’ competence and the ability of farmer groups to support the distinguished North Raman BP3K.  The research method used is a survey carried out in North Raman subdistrict of East Lampung.  Data were collected in March - July 2017.  The data are analyzed descriptively and using Kruskals Wallis test.  Respondents are 77 people consisting of three AEWs’ and 74 rice farmers in North Raman subdistrict specified using a purposive sampling method. The results showed the Competence of the AEWs’ is in medium category and the ability of farmer groups is in medium category.  There is relationship between the competence of the AEW’s and the ability of farmer groups to support the distinguished BP3K in North Raman subdistrict.Key words: AEWs’ Competence, BP3K, farmer groups’ capability

Abstract

This research aims to find out: farmers' perception on Rainforest Alliance (RFA) coffee certification program, Factors related to the perception,income of farmers joining the program, andorrelation between the perception and coffee farming income. This research was conducted in TanjungRejo Village, PulauPanggung Subdistrict, Tanggamus District in August-September 2017. The selection of the location was determined purposively considering that the area has the highest number of farmers who join RFA certification. The respondents were 64 coffee farmers who have RFA Coffee certificate. The method used is a survey method. Data are analyzed descriptively and using rank Spearman correlation. Results indicated that: perception of coffee farmers on RFA certification program is included in the high classification. Factors significantly correlated to coffee farmers' perception on the RFA certification program are farmers’ knowledge and social interaction. Coffee farming income in 2017 was Rp19,908,000.00 per hectare per year, decreased from Rp21,092,375.00 per hectare per year in 2016. The decline is due to bad weather and pest/disease outbreak.Key words: coffee farmers, farm income, perception, RFA

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analize the business, the added-value and employment of the tofu agroindustry in Bandar Lampung. This study was conducted in Gunung Sulah and Kedamaian villages which are the tofu production centers. The respondents are randomly chosen. The data are processed by using the financial analysis and the value-added analysis. There are two kinds of tofu, i.e the kopong tofu dan the cina tofu.  The average net revenues over the cash costs were Rp10.49 million/month of the kopong tofu and Rp12.10 million/month of the cina tofu.  The average net revenues over the total costs were Rp4.02 million/month of the kopong tofu and Rp5.17 million/month of the cina tofu.  The average standard costs were Rp16,949.97/kg of the kopong tofu and Rp9,206.70/kg of the cina tofu.The average added-value was Rp5,109.31/kg soybeans and its 95 percent confidence interval was Rp2,864.23-7,354.39/kg soybeans. The employment in the two tofu production centers was 143 people.Key words: added value, agroindustry, business analysis, employment, tofu

Abstract

This research  aimed to know the procurement of corn production facilities, farm performance, corn marketing, supporting institutions and index of agribusiness system.  This research was conducted in Adiluwih Subdistrict of Pringsewu Regency.  The data were collected on March - April 2018 by survey method. The result of this research showed that the procurement of production facilities that did not accord to the criteria were price and quantity. The average income from the corn agribusiness system was Rp9,973,527.8/ha and it was profitable because the R/C ratio was higher than one.  Marketing of agribusiness systems was inefficient because its market was oligopsonic structure, farmers did not have the power to determine the price of corn and the profit margin ratio did not spread evenly.  The supporting institutions in Adiluwih Subdistrict were farmer groups, extension agents, financial institutions, government policies, transportation and markets.  All supporting institutions were available but not fully utilized by farmers.  The supporting institutions which related to the agribusiness system were farmer groups, government policies and extension institutions.  The agribusiness index in terms of production facilities has been good, while the agribusiness index in terms of farming and marketing performance has not been good.  In general, the corn agribusiness index has notbeen good. Key words:  agribusiness index, agribusiness system, corn

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the main production cost and the profit of chicken broiler business on partnership with PT CAS and nonpartnership. Data were collected in July 2018 at Bandar Mataram Sub- District of Lampung Tengah Regency which has been chosen purposively and the samples were drawn using purposive sampling method. The samples consisted of broiler breeders joining patrnership pattern with PT CAS and breeders who are nonpartnership. Data were analyzed using full costing and variable costing method for the main production cost and the profit of chicken broiler business. The results of this research showed that the main production cost of breeders joining the partnership was lower than that of nonpartnership breeders. The main production of partnership breeders was Rp18,158.69 with full costing method and Rp17,817.78 with variable costing method. Before fodder policy for pulling additional fodder Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGP) and Ractopamine, livestock broiler business was profitable, but it was unprofitable afterward.  Key words : broiler, main production cost, partnership

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to examine the role of cassava farmer groups, factors related to the role, the level of cassava farming income and the relationship between the role and the income in Siswo Bangun Village, Seputih Banyak District, Central Lampung Regency. Respondents were 87 cassava farmers involved in 18 farmer groups. This research was conducted in January 2018 and used a survey method. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test. The results showed that the level of the role of farmer groups was classified as moderate. Factors significantly related to the role of cassava farmer groups were the role of extension workers and leadership of farmer group leaders. Cassava farming income in Siswo Bangun Village, Seputih Banyak District, Central Lampung regency was classified as moderate, which was Rp21.925.801 per ha per season.
