Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the production performance and added value of powdered herbal agroindustry. This research was carried out in Asto Mulyo Village, Punggur Subdistrict, Lampung Tengah District, which involved agroindustrial owners, industrial agencies, supermarket managers, self-service consumers, and community leaders. Data are analyzed quantitatively and statistically. The results of the research, herbal powder production performance is already good, with productivity of 5,16 kg/HOK, meaning that every one HOK of labor is able to produce as much as 5.16 kg powdered herbs, although the capacity value of powdeed herbal products is already high (91,00 percent). The R/C of agroindustry is 1.88, meaning that the agroindustry is good and profitable. The added value of each variant of different herbs, namely curcuma is amounting to Rp24,854.42 per kg of raw material; turmeric is amounting to Rp25,351.27 per kg of raw material, kencur of Rp12,352.29 per kg of raw material, and ginger in the amount of Rp21,853.94 per kg of raw material.Key words: added value, herbal powder, production performance

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that affect organic rice production, determine the level of efficiency of organic rice production, find out the marketing chain of organic rice and the prospects for sustainability of the organic rice program after the assistance project was completed. The research was conducted in Central Lampung Regency on March-May 2018. The research sample consisted of 32 organic rice farmers using a census method. Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglass production function method, frontier production function, and S-C-P (Structure, Conduct, Performance) method. The results showed that the prospect of the sustainability of the program with the SRI method was not successfully implemented and the factors that affected the organic rice production were seeds and compost fertilizer. Farmers in Central Lampung Regency from year to year have always experienced a decline in organic rice production, which has an effect on the level of farming efficiency. The value of technical efficiency obtained was 86.21% and the value of ?bi?1, so that farming has not been efficient. Organic rice at the research site was marketed from farmers to farmer groups and directly to consumers. The RPM value obtained was equal to 3.74%.Keywords: analyze, efficiency, marketing, production, organic rice

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the position of tapioca vermicelli production on the product life cycle (PLC), to know the manufacturer’s perception of the development of tapioca vermicelli business, and correlation between the perception and the PLC. This research used a case study method at tapioca vermicelli industries, namelySinar Jaya (SJ), SinarHarapan (SH), Monas Lancar (ML), Bintang Obor (BO), and Moro Seneng (MS). Respondents are the owners of the agroindustries. Data were analyzed using a descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the positions of tapioca vermicelli product in terms of the product life cycle in SJ, ML, and MSare in the Growth Stage, while those of SH and BO are at the Maturity Stage. Business development is perceived as important by producers, but it is difficult to do. There is no correlation between perceptions of the development of the business and the product life cycle.Keywords: perception, PLC, tapioca vermicelli.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that consumes and produces rice, so rice is a primary need in Indonesia. The government stipulates the highest retail price (HET) of rice policy to maintain the stability of rice price. The purposes of this study are to fin out the effectiveness of rice HET policy in Lampung Province, to analyze the impacts of thepolicy stipulation, and to find out the difference between medium rice supply chains before and after the HET Policy. This research uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were interviews using questionnaires and also observation. The results of this study were the policy of medium rice HET has not been effectively implemented Lampung Province with price difference of Rp1.663,00. This caused no impact on the farmers, distributors, retail traders, and consumers. In the previous study, the medium rice supply chain flow in Lampung Province was infour marketing channels while in the current study was in six marketing channels.Keywords: effectiviness, HET, rice, supply

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of consumer satisfaction of coffee powder and the marketing mix of coffee powder agroindustry in Bandar Lampung City. The research method used was a case study. Research location was determined purposively. The number of interviewed sample was 60 respondents that were chosen by snowball sampling. Respondents of this study consisted of consumers of coffee powder, owners, industry and trade in Bandar Lampung City, and expert of University Lampung chosen by snowball sampling. The study was conducted in February-April 2018. The data analysis method used has the analysis of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and analysis descriptive. The results showed that: consumers of Cap Jempol coffee powder in Bandar Lampung City were in satisfied criteria. The marketing mix for agroindustry has implemented marketing strategy (marketing mix).Keywords :agroindustry, consumer satisfaction, coffee powder, marketing mix

Abstract

This research aimed to analyses the productivity, thefinancial of feasibility and sensitivity of machine cane harvester. This research was a case study in PT Lajuperdana Indah Site Komering, South Sumatera. The data was collected in December 2016 andanalyzed by descriptive quantitative. The result of research suggested that big productivity machine cane harvester of 17.91 ton per hour work or 0.31 hectare per hour work or three hours of work to finish one hectare of land. The use of the machine cane harvester on PT Lajuperdana Indah Site Komering financially worth it to implement. The used of the machine cane harvester was sensitive at a change in the production of amounted to 19percent and increase in the17.58 percent but the value of payback period of the cane harvester was not sensitive.Keywords: cane harvester machine, financially analyse, productivity.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to determine the communication behavior of pepper farmers, characteristics of pepper farmers and analyze the correlation between farmers’ characteristics and communication behavior in fulfilling pepper farming information. This research was conducted in Sukadana Baru Village, Marga Tiga District, East Lampung regency in August 2018. This location was chosen purposively with consideration that Sukadana Baru Village is a village with the largest area and pepper production in East Lampung. The number of samples in this study were 43 pepper farmers. This study used a survey method, and data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and rank Spearman test. The results showed that all respondent farmers were at the productive age level with an average age of 42 years, average level of basic education of 9 years, the average cultivated area of 2.00 hectares, pepper farming experience 22 years, and the average monthly income of Rp2,591,382.00. Communication behavior of farmers in fulfilling pepper farming information fell into the medium category. There was a significant correlation between farmer's age, land size, and income with communication behavior in fulfilling pepper farming information.Key words: communication behavior,farmer characteristics, pepper

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the procurement of raw material, added value, and the factors causing inactivity of 18 cassava chips agroindustries. This research was conducted in Way Jepara District, East Lampung Regency in May -July 2018. Respondents were active and non-active cassava chips agroindustries in Way Jepara District. Procurement of raw materials is analyzed using six-component method. The added value is analyzed use Hayami's method, and the cause of inactivity of the 18 cassava chips agroindustries is analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the procurement of raw materials with six components, namely time, place, price, quantity, quality, and type of active agroindustry is appropriate, because it is in line with the expectations of each active agroindustry. Three active agroindustries have a positive added value (NT>0) can absorb labor, and can increase the income of the community around the agroindustry. The main factors causing the inactivity of 18 cassava chips agroindustries in Way Jepara District in production are less extensive product marketing coverage and low level of demand for the chips produced.Key words: added value, agroindustry, cassava, raw material

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze consumer?s preferences, satisfaction, and loyalty of banana and cassava chips at chips agroindustry centers in Bandar Lampung. The agro industries were chosen purposively. There were 70 respondents taken by using accidental sampling. Data were collected in May-June 2018 and analyzed descriptively by using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and loyalty pyramid method (switcher buyer, habitual buyer, satisfied buyer, liking the brand buyer, and committed buyer). The results of this research showed that the attributes of banana and cassava chips which become the consumers preferences were low prices, good taste, crispy texture, pleasant scent, harder to get, and attractive packaging. The satisfaction levels of the consumers of banana and cassava chips were both classified as satisfying and loyal consumers.Keywords: banana, cassava, chips, consumers, satisfaction
