Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine the level of housewives rolein the KRPL Program and factors that related to the role of housewives in the KRPL Program. This research was conducted in December 2017 to January 2018 in Natar Sub - District, South Lampung District. The research used survey method in which respondents were housewives who implemented the KRPL Program in Pancasila Village and Sidosari Village as many as 40 people. Research data was analyzed descriptively and by Rank Spearman analysis test. The results of this research showed that the role of housewives in the KRPL Program were classified as high level. This was approved by the high role classification in tillage, planting, plant maintenance, harvesting, and marketing product. Key words: housewives, role, sustainable food home area program

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the main farming income, annual household income, welfare, and factors that influence the level of household welfare. Data were collected in June - August 2018. The research location was determined intentionally because the Kedaung Village was one of the regions with high poverty levels in the Kemiling District of Bandar Lampung City. The number of respondents in this study was 40 respondents taken using simple random sampling technique. The analytical methods used were farm income analysis, household income analysis, and welfare level analysis. The results of the study explained that the average main farming income was differentiated based on two cropping patterns, namely: first cropping pattern (beans - beans) amounting to Rp2,537,872.35 /0,08 ha per year, while in the second cropping pattern (beans - long beans) amounting to Rp2,830,339.88 /0,07ha per year. The average household income every year based on cropping patterns was Rp23,317,784.40 per year of the first cropping pattern and Rp13,841,450.10 per year of the second cropping pattern. As many as 95 percent of agricultural households in Kedaung Sub-District, Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung City are in the category of unprosperous. This situation occurs because of low social, educational, and health scores.Keywords: agriculture household, income, welfare indicators

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of P3A member farmers on irrigation management of rice farming and to analyze the factors related to the perception of the farmers on irrigation management of rice farming. This research was carried out in Margodadi Village South Metro Subdistrict Metro Regency with 65 respondents from P3A members participating in P3A activities. Data were collected through a survey method and analyzed descriptively and using nonparametric statistical tests of Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of this study indicated that the perceptions of P3A member farmers on irrigation management of rice farming is in the medium category. Factors related to the perceptions of P3A member farmers on irrigation management of rice farming are formal education, motivation, needs, rice farming experience, knowledge, social environment, support of related agencies, and land size. Meanwhile, unrelated factors are age and number of dependents.Key words: field irrigation management, perceptions, P3A

Abstract

This research aims to analyze household income, welfare, and factors that influence the household welfare of vaname cultivators ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari. Data of this research was collected in Bratasena Adiwarna village in February 2018. Samples in this research were 70 shrimp cultivators households. Determination of samples with simple random sampling. Primary data was obtained by interviewing respondens, while secondary data was obtained from several related institution. Household income consists of shrimp income, nonshrimp, off-farm and nonfarm income. Household welfare level was analyzed by the Sajogyo criteria and poverty line according to BPS Lampung (2017). The factors that influence household welfare was analyzed by binary logistic regression. The research result showed that the average shrimp income in period I, II, and III were Rp7,986,264; Rp13,868,109; and Rp27,334,963; average household income was Rp64,902,569.00 per year, which was obtained from 70 percent of shrimp income, 10 percent of nonshrimp income, 2 percent of off-farm income, and 18 percent of nonfarm income. The household welfare level based on the Sajogyo indicator showed that 37 percent of household were in moderate and 63 percent were in decent living class, while the BPS poverty line shows that all of households were classified as non-poor. The level of household welfare of ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari was influenced by household income, and household dependents.Keywords: income, vaname shrimp cultivator, welfare

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze factors affecting production, analyze the percentage of cassava farming income contribution to household income, and analyze the differences income of sweet cassava and bitter cassava farming. This research was conducted in March to April 2018 in Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung. The to determine production factors, the study used Cobb-Douglas production function. To determine contribution of cassava farming income to household income, the study used production analysis, while to determine income of sweet cassava and bitter cassava farming, the study used Independent Sample T-Test. The number of sample for bitter and sweet cassava were 30 respondents each chosen by non-proportional random sampling. The study indicates that the factors affecting production of bitter cassava are NPK fertilizer, urea fertilizer, SP-36 fertilizer, and harvest age, while the factors that significantly influence sweet cassava are land area and NPK fertilizer. The contribution of industrial cassava farming income to household income is 75.01%, while sweet cassava income only accounts for 6.95% of total household income. There is a significant difference between the income of sweet cassava farming and bitter cassava farming.Key words: cassava, income, production

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the level of adoption of integrated crop management ’jajar legowo’ innovation in lowland rice cultivation, related factors, household income of lowland rice farmers after adopting the innovation, and to know the relationship between the adoption rate and the welfare of farmers. This research was conducted in Palas Jaya and Pulau Tengah Villages, Palas District, South Lampung Regency. Respondents were 68 rice farmers taken proportionally and randomly from each of the two villages. Adoption of ‘jajar legowo’ planting system in Palas Jaya and Tengah Tengah Villages of Palas District, South Lampung Regency was high (92.64 percent). Factors related to the adoption were characteristics of innovation, characteristics of farmers, the role of extension workers, and household welfare of wetland rice farmers. Annual household incomes of rice farmers adopting integrated crop management were Rp24,251,188.24 consisting of Rp18,310,012 from on farm, Rp5,058,823.53 from nonfarm and Rp882,352.94 from off-farm activities. There is a significant correlation between the level of adoption of innovation in integrated crop management of paddy rice and household welfare of rice farmers.Key words: adoption, income, welfare

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the income of farmer households inthe Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman, the contribution of the tahura farm income, the consumption patterns, and welfare of the tahura farmer households.  The study was conducted in Wiyono Village, Gedong Tataan Sub District, Pesawaran Districtfrom February to March 2018.  The research location was determined intentionally with the consideration that Wiyono Village is one of the villages which is directly adjacent to Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman and has an active forest farmer group.  The sample size in this study was 50 tahura farmers’ households and grouped based on land size.  This study used a survey method, and used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis.  The results showed that the income of the tahura farmers’ households was in the lower middle category, the tahura farm gave the greatest contribution to their total income, and the consumption pattern of the tahura farmer households was mostly allocated to nonfood, which means that the welfare level of the tahura farmer households is prosperous.  Based on the poverty line criteria of BPS Sub District Pesawaran 2017, 76.00 percent of tahura farmer householdsis in the category of nonpoor households.Key words: consumption pattern, farmer, income, welfare

Abstract

This research aims to find outsupply chain, flow patterns of goods, information, and finance, supply chain performance, and marketing efficiency. The research was carried out in two villages namely Tanjung Raya Village and Hanakau Village of Sukau District.  Determination of the location of the study was conducted purposively considering the area as a center for vegetable production in West Lampung Regency.  The respondents involved were 74 people, consisting of 30 vegetable farmers, 10 agents, 12 wholesalers, and 22 retailers.  The first and second objectives were analyzed using a descriptive method, the third objective was analyzed using supply chain performance measurement, and the fourth objective was analyzed using marketing efficiency.  The results proved that stakeholders involved in the tomato supply chain consist of farmers, agents, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.  The flow of goods occured from upstream to downstream, and the flow of information occurs from upstream to downstream.  Meanwhile, financial flow occured from downstream to upstream.  The tomato supply chain performance was in a good criteria, because it reaches the foodscor card value, but the distribution is inefficient because the overall ratio of profit margins among marketing institutions is spread unevenly and less than zero. Key words: marketing efficiency, performance, supply chain, tomato

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation, discipline, and the employees’ performance in PT XXX, the effect of work motivation on the employees’ discipline in PT XXX, and the motivation on the employees’ performance both directly and indirectly through discipline in PT XXX.   The data collection was conducted in March 2017.  The method used wasa case study because this study involved all members of the population from the study area.  The available number of respondents in this study were 38 people. The first purpose was analyzed descriptively.  The second and third purposes were analyzed using path analysis.  The employees’ work motivation in PT XXX was included in the medium category (good enough).  The discipline of the employees was inthe good category for each dimension of three, namely working time, carrying out the work, and obeyingrules.  The employees’ performance in PT XXX was included in a good enough category.  In this study motivation did not affect the employees’ discipline in PT XXX.  Discipline had the biggest direct influence on the performance by 65.90 percent, compared with motivation by 36.50 percent,  the indirect effect value of motivation on performance is 11.30 percent.                                                                                                                                              Key words : dicipline, motivation, path analysis, performance employee
