Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze income, comparison of income, and marketing effeciency of organic and inorganic rice farming in Pringsewu District. This research was conducted in Fajaresuk Village Pringsewu Subdistrict, Pringsewu District using a survey method Data were collected from August to September 2017. The sample size in research were 14 organic rice farmers, 25 inorganic rice farmers, 15 marketing respondents including 1 member of Sejahtera Farmer Group, 9 rice merchants, and 5 millers based on rice marketing flow (snowball). The data were analyzed using income, comparison of income, and marketing analyses. The results of study showed that organic rice farming income bigger than inorganic rice farming income. There is a significant difference between organic and inorganic rice farming income. The marketing of organic rice is more efficient than inorganic rice.Key words: income, inorganic rice, marketing, organic rice

Abstract

This research aims to analyze development strategies of siger rice agroindustry.  This research uses a case study method.  The samples are two different siger rice agroindustries and stakeholders on agroindustry. The method of data analysis used are descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this research showed that, for Wonokarto village, the combination of IFE and EFE values was 1.81 and 1.51, and for Margosari Village was 0.56 and 1.38.  Both combinations in the IE matrix shows that the positions are in quadran, meaning that the agroindustries are in the growth position. The best priority strategies for growing agroindustry are increasing the quality of the product and making an innovation for the product.Key words: development strategy, siger rice, SWOT analysis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of income and added value of tempe agroindustry. This study uses a case study method. The research location is chosen purposively in Punggur Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency, with the consideration that Punggur Subdistrict has the highest number of tempe producers in Central Lampung Regency. The samples were chosen by accidental sampling method in three villages. The number of respondents are 42 respondents. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The results showed that the tempe agroindustry in Punggur Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency was profitable and feasible because of R/C > 1 and positive added value.Key words: added value, agroindustry, income, tempe

Abstract

This research aims to analyze main production cost, added value, and income of tempe chips agroindustry. This research uses a case study method at three tempe chips agroindustries which are located in Metro City. Therefore, they are chosen purposively by considering the agroindustries are still active to produce.  Respondents of this research are the owners of the tempe chips agroindustries. The field research was conducted in February until March 2019. The data collected in this research are primary and secondary data. Then, data analysis method uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that main production cost of tempe chips agroindustry is IDR32,874.39 per kilogram. Added values of tempe chips agroindustry show the positive values hence it is feasible to be developed. Tempe chips agroindustries are profitable because of the R/C values of more than 1.Key words: added value, agroindustry, cost, income, tempe chips

Abstract

This research aims to analyze marketing mix, the internal and external environment, and development strategy of tofu agroindustry in Bandar Lampung City. This research uses a survey method. Respondents were owner, employee, consumers, and government which is taken purposively.  Technique sampling for consumers were purposive. The method of data analysis is descriptive analysis of 4P (product, price, place, and promotion) and SWOT analysis. The results show that different agroindustry scales, houshold level, medium, and large, applied marketing mix differently, the mix of the product, price, place, and promotion. Futher more, the intenal environment of the  agroindustry consists of product, management and funding, human resources, business location, and  marketing, while the external environment consists of economic, social and culture, competitors, technology, government policy, and consumers. Development strategies of tofu agroindustry household scale, medium, and large scale are the development of tofu production because of large demand, empowerment of the labor through training on modern technology, and marketing maintenance which are already extensive.Key words: development strategy, marketing mix, tofu

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that affect organic rice production, determine the level of efficiency of organic rice production, find out the marketing chain of organic rice and the prospects for sustainability of the organic rice program after the assistance project was completed. The research was conducted in Central Lampung Regency on March-May 2018. The research sample consisted of 32 organic rice farmers using a census method. Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglass production function method, frontier production function, and S-C-P (Structure, Conduct, Performance) method. The results showed that the prospect of the sustainability of the program with the SRI method was not successfully implemented and the factors that affected the organic rice production were seeds and compost fertilizer. Farmers in CentralLampung Regency from year to year have always experienced a decline in organic rice production, which has an effect on the level of farming efficiency. The value of technical efficiency obtained was 86.21% and the value of Σbi≠1, so that farming has not been efficient. Organic rice at the research site was marketed from farmers to farmer groups and directly to consumers. The RPM value obtained was equal to 3.74%.Key words: analyze, efficiency, marketing, production, organic rice

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of risk and behavior faced by farmers in dumbo catfish farming. This research was a survey conducted in Kota Gajah Subdistrict of Central Lampung Regency in August-September 2018. Respondents are 44 dumbo catfish farmers members of the Fish Cultivation Group (pokdakan) taken using simple random sampling. The results of this research showed that the dumbo catfish farming in Kota Gajah Subdistrict of Central Lampung Regency has the CV value price risk of 0.04 and the lower limit (L) of IDR15,320. The CV value less than 0.50 means that farmers risk suffered losses due to changes in low classified price. CV value of production risk is 0.04 and the lower limit (L) is 2,449.33 kg. The CV value less than 0.50 means that farmers risk experiencing losses due to changes in production relatively low. Based on the analysis that was done with the quadratic utility approach shows that dumbo catfish farmers in Kota Gajah Subdistrict are 41 farmers behave neutrally and 3 farmers behave boldly in facing the risk of catfish farming.Key words: behavior, dumbo catfish, farmers, risk

Abstract

This study aims to determine post-harvest handling and the amount of post-harvest costs and to analyze the added value of the rice milling business in the Independent Integrated City of Mesuji. The research method used a survey method. The study was conducted in the villages of Tanjung Mas Mulya, Tanjung Mas Makmur, and Pangkal Mas Mulya, East Mesuji Sub-District. The samples of this research were farmers and agro-industries. The number of samples were 37 farmers in Tanjung Mas Mulya Village, 22 farmers in Pangkal Mas Mulya Village, and 9 farmers in Tanjung Mas Makmur Village, while the samples from agro-industries were 5 owners from Tanjung Mas Mulya Village, 4 from Pangkal Mas Mulya Village, and 2 from Tanjung Mas Makmur Village.  Data collection was conducted from June to July 2019. The study results show that post-harvest handling by farmers was limited to transportation. The amount of harvest cost and post-harvest cost is IDR3,513,359.97 per hectare. The average value added in agro-industries using box dryer machines was IDR629.97 per kilogram of raw materials and IDR525.68 per kilogram of raw materials for agro-industries not using box dryer machines. Key words : added value, post harvest, rice milling
