However, with the myriad of potentials and with a number of marketing strategies that have been carried out, West Sumatra tourism to flourish and far behind other regions such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Bandung, even North Sumatra. Of course there are obstacles in the development of tourism. To that end, in addition to reviewing the aspects that become obstacles for tourism development of West Sumatra, more concretely also examined aspects of the constraints in the tourist area of Lake Above and Below Lake which is one of the attractions in West Sumatra. This study used mixed methods (Mixed Method) with sequential exploratory strategy. The analytical method used is the Delphi method which is supported by the identification of constraints through the mass media, deskirptif analysis of qualitative and descriptive statistical analysis. The study shows that the main obstacle aspects of tourism development of West Sumatra is the mindset aspect of society, aspects of planning, financing support aspect. Another aspect is the economic society, marketing and infrastructure support. In contrast to the constraints of development of tourist areas of Lake Above and Below Lake, the results showed the obstacles in the form of people who think that mindset, tourism is less promising as a source of income, while the farm will get pengasilan great. The different thing is revealed when analyzing public perception of the response. It turned out that people do not know what exactly are the benefits of tourism, the public does not know which part they should play an active role, which means that people do not know its position in the tourism sector.

Abstract

As in other cities, Kota Salatiga has the main problem in waste management which is the accumulation of waste in TPS which can cause water, soil and air pollution. Factors other than differences in waste management (waste collection community and Government waste processing) are the absence of scheduling arrangements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the standard time of garbage collection. The purpose of this research is to analyze the initiative of Salatiga City Government in creating standardization of waste collection. The identification of waste generation and distribution of waste collection time variation and the need of waste collection infrastructure is needed to analyze the initiatives of Salatiga City Government. The amount of waste generated from the extent of the land function shows that the region with the highest number of waste is the region with the highest population with its urban activity, and the opposite too. While the distribution of time variations vary compared to ideal circumstances that provide only one time variation based on the intensity of waste collection (60,69%). So from these two identifications can be formulated Salatiga Municipal Government initiative in reducing time variation imbalance with commitment to standardize waste collection time including technical and non technical preparation that can be applied.

Abstract

The study examines the effects of the Ngawi‐Kertosono toll road interchange development planning to land use change in Nganjuk as an agricultural city using Delphi method through exploration of expert opinion. The study forecasted potential development such as housing‐residential, trade‐service and industry‐warehousing as a result from the development plan. Analysis showed that the plan rendered two implications. On the one hand it provided an increase in accesibility south of the toll road making development possible, on the other hand the north of the toll road might suffer development challenges due to loss of accessibility because the interchange was to only accommodate traffic from the south. Because of this, experts think that the north part of the toll road will suffer stagnance. All this demonstrate contradictory influence of development planning in the development of a region.
