Abstract

Background: Accreditation is an obligation that must be done by every hospital in Indonesia. Purwokerto is the capital of Banyumas district, Central Java, Indonesia. Health services in Purwokerto are facilitated by 10 Public Hospitals and 7 are private public hospitals. Based on the preliminary study, of the seven general hospitals, get one hospital that has been accredited. How is the strategy of public private hospitals facing accreditation, becoming an interesting topic to learn. Objective: The purpose of this research is private hospital strategy in Purwokerto to face hospital accreditation. Methods: The research method used is qualitative with phenomenology approach. Analysis the data research by using IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis). Results: Based on the analysis of 5 informants, the theme of accreditation strategy for private hospitals that are human resources control, owner and management commitment, programmatic procedures, time management, process strategy, and building a comfortable working environment. Conclutions: To be able of accreditation of public private hospitals need the ability to build human resources, and other resources both physical, facilities, environment and time management. Further research is expected to be implemented in all hospitals whether public hospitals, specialty, or clinics. Keywords: Accreditation, hospital, strategy

Abstract

Background: Palliative care goal is to improve the quality of life of the patient. Spiritual is believed can improve the quality of life in palliative patients. Objective: The purpose of this research is to identify the spiritual status of palliative patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta Hospital. Methods: This study is a non-experiment research. It used descriptive survey research method with 100 subjects which used total sampling technique. FACIT-Sp is choosen based on this validity(r=0,5) dan realibity (r=0,768) to get the spiritual status of the sample. Results: The result of univariate analysis showed that the spiritual level of palliative patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital with the mean values of 36,79 (0-48) and the spiritual component consisted of mean is 12,26 (0-16), faith is 12,85 (0-16) and peace 68 (0-16). Conclusion: The spiritual status of palliative patients at Muhammadiyah Gamping Yogyakarta Hospital in the categories of meaning, faith, peace and spiritual level most have passed the cut of point, it showed that the palliative patient is headed to the good spiritual. Abstract

Background: The aging process could cause physical changes and lowered organ function. These changescan affect the quality of life of the elderly, such as impaired cognitive function. It was found that there are pros and cons of whether or not thecognitive function have relates with quality of life of the elderly. Objective: To know the relationship between cognitive function and quality of life. Methods: This research is a descriptive study of analytic with crosssectional design with the number of respondents as many as 124 elderly, aged ≥ 60 years in Panti sosial tresna werdha 4 Cengkareng, West Jakarta. By using MMSE questionnaire to assess cognitive function and WHOQOL-BREF for quality of life. Results:Respondents were most acquired aged 60-74 years (81.5%), female gender (59.7%), as well as the level of education under high School (79.8%). The results of the study of the relationship test between cognitive function and quality of life is p=0.003 in the physical aspect, p=0.000 in psychological, p=0.004 in social and p=0.002 in the environmental aspects of the quality of life. Conclusion: Cognitive function affects all aspects of quality of life in elderly.

Abstract

Background: One area with high rates of positive sputum in West Muna district, high TB patients is in the Wuna Community Health Center work area. Positive smear pulmonary TB sufferers in 2015 recorded 25 positive cases, in 2016 as many as 41 positive cases, whereas in 2017 there was an increase from the previous year which was 45 positive cases. Objective: To find out the distribution of cases tuberculosis with positive sputum from 2015 to 2017, then to be related to population density. Methods: This type of research is observational with spatio temporal modeling, based on geographic information systems. Results: There has been a shift in the pattern of positive pulmonary tuberculosis pulmonary TB sufferers from 2015 to 2017. TB cases in Maperaha, Nihi, Bungkolo villages have been concentrated in the same area for three years, as well as Waulai Village during 2016 and 2017. In Wuna Village. In 2015 and 2016 cases of tuberculosis were still concentrated around the same area, but differed in 2017, the concentration of cases shifted to the west. Conclusion: Cases of tuberculosis with positive sputum in the working area of Wuna Health Center from 2015-2017 have increased.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the main risk factors for heart problems that require high medical costs. Prolanis is a health service system and proactive approach that is implemented in an integrated manner involving participants, health facilities, and BPJS Health in order to maintain health for participants. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Prolanis and medication adherence to blood pressure control in hypertension patients in Puskesmas Gamping 1. Methods: This research is non-experimental research and is observational analytic. Data collection was carried out retrospectively in June-September 2018. The data obtained were then analyzed by chi-square method. Results: The results obtained in this study were that there was no significant relationship between educational consultation with patient's blood pressure (Asymp. Sig. 0.111), and home visit with patient's blood pressure (Asymp. Sig 0.007). Furthemore there was a significant relationship between gateway reminder with patient's blood pressure (Asymp. Sig 0.002), and medication adherence with patient's blood pressure (Asymp. Sig 0,000). Conclusion: Success in controlling blood pressure in hypertensive patients is the result of cooperation between patients and medical and health care workers. Compliance and good understanding in carrying out therapy can affect blood pressure and gradually prevent complications.

Abstract

Background: Labor is a transformational process for women, where women have different expectations in the labor process. Identifying the hopes, desires, needs, and fears of the women for the labor process will make the birth attendant provide services and positive labor experience for the women. The Expectations during labor process has an important role in determining the response of the women to the experience of labor. Women want a positive labor experience that matches or even exceeds their expectations and beliefs. Midwives care for women have affects both physically and psychologically in the short and long term. Objective: This qualitative research aims to find out the expectation of mothers in the care of mothers by midwives during the labor process. Methods: in-depth interviews with 4 postpartum mothers’s regarding their expectations of midwives care during labor. Result and Conclution: There were 3 themes of mother's expectation in labor process : the comfort of labor, the safety of labor and support during labor.

Abstract

Background: The spread of health information about breastfeeding can take advantage of smartphone technology. Utilization of the application of the Exclusive ASI Health Information System (Sik-Asiek) as a source of information about exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding support from peers and health workers through chat group features found in the Sik-Asiek application. Objective: Analyze the effect of the application of Sik-Asiek applications on knowledge and attitudes of exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The study used a quasi experimental non equivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The research respondents were third trimester pregnant women, amounting to 72 people. Knowledge and attitudes of mothers before and after the application of Sik-Asiek applications were measured using a questionnaire while the practices were measured using observation sheets after treatment. Data analysis using independent test sample t-test, Mann-Whitney test and Manova. Results: there is the effect of applying the Sik-Asiek application on mothers to knowledge (p-value 0,00), and attitudes (p-value 0,00) for exclusive breastfeeding practices. Conclusion: The application of "Sik-Asiek" can be an effective means of increasing knowledge and attitudes of exclusive breastfeeding for pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TBC) treatment regimens require the introduction of PMO (Drugs Swallowing Drug) standardized on International Standards for Tuberculosis Care (ISTC) with DOTS strategy (Directly Observed Treatment Shortcouse). The goal of controlling new challenges such as TB/HIV co-infection, Multi Drug Resistance (MDR), Extensively Drug Resistance (XDR) and Loss to follow-up. Objective: Type of cross sectional study. Population 35 PMO using saturated samples. Methods: The instruments used are questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data analysis is univariate, bivariate and multivariate. Results: The result of the study was the relationship between the role of PMO from family members in the supervision of taking medicine (p=0,024), there was a relationship between the role of PMO from family members in drug taking assistance in Fasyankes (p=0,002) and there was relationship between the influence of PMO role from family member accompaniment of sputum checks in Fasyankes (p=0,005) to TBC patient compliance. Conclusion: There is a statistical correlation between the roles of PMO from the family towards adherence to tuberculosis patients. Suggestion of research is given to related parties be reformed TBC control policy related to election criteria of PMO coming from family member in Semarang regency.

Abstract

Background: Black Garlic is a fermented product of garlic that can be used as a herbal medicine for hypertension management. Based on the results of phytochemical analysis in black garlic There are several chemical content such as allicin, S-allyl Cystein, flavonoids, and hydrogen sulfide. The content of SAC, allicin, flavonoids and hidrogen sulfide in black garlic is a compound that can be used to lower blood pressure. Objective: The objective of this research is to prove the effect of Black Garlic on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Methods: The research method used a one group pretest and posttest design without a comparison group (control). The sample in this study were 15 people with hypertension in the work area of the Sempaja Public Health Center. To find out the difference in blood pressure with hypertension before and after being given a daily treatment of decoction of Black Garlic. Results: The result of statistical test analysis showed that the variable systolic blood pressure of p-value is 0.001 < 0.05, and diasttolic blood pressure of p-value is 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusion: The result showed that there was a significant influence on blood pressure before and after giving black garlic.

Abstract

Background: Blood supplies estimated to be around 2% of the total population1. However, only 1.88 million bags of blood can be met or 40% of the total needs, so there is a 60% lack of blood from the minimum requirement2. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the intention to donate blood regularly at UTD PMI Bantul Regency Yogyakarta using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach. Methods: This research was conducted at UTD PMI Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta in September-December 2018. The number of respondents was 35 voluntary blood donors, with sampling techniques using accidental sampling. Results: The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control have a significant effect on the intention to donate. While the results of the regression analysis partially, based on a significant level of value, attitudes have a significant influence on one's intention in donating, while subjective norms and behavioral control do not significantly influence one's intentions in donating. Conclusion: The attitude had the most significant influence on the intention to donate regularly on UTD PMI Bantul Regency Yogyakarta using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach.
