Abstract

(Title: Suffix Formers of Transitive And Intransitive Verbs In Japanese Language) This research aims to explain the process of formation verbs from the suffix of transitive and intransitive verb formers and their meanings. The data in this research were taken from Asahi Shinbun website, More Zasshi, News Livedoor and various other Japanese websites. The method which used in this research is descriptive method, and for data analysis using agih method. The theory which used in this research are verb, derivation and verb-forming suffix theory. The results of the research show that (1) There are 5 types of verb-forming suffixes: suffix –garu,-maru, -meru, -mu, and –suru, (2) Suffix –garu can be attached to adjective-i, adjective-na and -tai forms that can produce transitive and intransitive verbs (3) Suffix -maru can be attached to adjective-i and produce the intransitive verb (4) Suffix -meru can be attached to adjective-i and produce the transitive verb (5) Suffix -mu can be attached to adjective-i which can produce transitive and intransitive verbs (6) Suffix -suru can be attached to nouns and adverbs that can produce transitive or intransitive verbs (7) Some of verb-forming suffix can changes the meaning of the original word and some just changes the application.

Abstract

(Title: “Mura ” Concept in Kasajizou Anime) This article aims to uncover the concept of mura in the Kasajizou anime. Mura is one of the traditional Japanese systems, besides ie and kuni. The research method used is the literary sociology approach, namely by revealing one of the anime’s structures (mura ’background) in the anime and relating it to "mura " as a territorial concept in Japanese tradition according to Inagaki's explanation. The results showed that "mura " in the fairy tale anime Kasajizou was similar to the concept of mura which was presented by Inagaki, which is a local organization for the purpose of production and as a community formed naturally for the god who protected the area. In conclusion, the concept of mura in the fairytale anime confirms Inagaki's exposure of mura as one of the elements in the traditional system of Japanese society.

Abstract

(Title: Language Attitudes Of The Speakers Of Uchinaguchi Dialect,  Shimakutuba Language In Okinawa Prefekture) This study aims to determine the language attitude of the speakers of the Uchinaguchi dialect, one of the dialects in Shimakutuba which is the language used in the Okinawa islands. Shimakutuba is one of the languages in the world set by UNESCO as an endangered language. Because the theme of this research is focused on language attitudes which is one of the topics in sociolinguistic studies, the data are collected using the questionnaire method through distributing questionnaires to respondents who are considered representative representing the research population and also using literature study methods. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive methods. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the language attitude shown by speakers of Shimakutuba was divided into two, namely positive attitudes and negative attitudes. A positive attitude consists of positive active and positive passivity.

Abstract

(Omamori in Japanese Belief ) Omamori known as one of animisn and pantheism`s tradition. Omamori, which has been known since the Tokugawa period, still exist in modern Japanese society as a talisman. Theres some questions about what and how the shape of this Japanese charm is. By using literature study approach this article will describe the existence of omamori in Japanese beliefs which includes the definition, form and type of omamori. Omamori is spiritual charms, talismans and amulets in the Japanese religious tradition that possess the power to ward off misfortune and procure good luck. They can be made of pieces of wood, patches of cloth, strips of paper or rings of metal, and come in various sizes. There are seven types of omamori which are most  used by Japanese people. That seven types of omamori are used as protective charms for each stage of the human life cycle.

(Title: Development and globalization Japanese Video Game ) Today, many Japanese cultural product are developing and become popular in the community, for example Japanese music, movie, anime and video game. Japanese creative industry has a big potential in economy sector and can not be underestimated. One of Japanese culture product that become popular is Japanese video game it self. Video game are considered as the pioneers of the modern game industry. This paper will discuss the development and dissemination of Japanese video game with the viewpoint of globalization.

Abstract

(Title: Comparison of Compounds Verbs -Kiru and -Nuku as Perfective Aspects Markers in Japanese) Compound verbs -kiru and -nuku are known as markers of perfective aspects that express the meaning of completion. This study aims to describe the similarities and differences in the meanings of compounds verbs -kiru and -nuku as markers of perfective aspects. The method used in this research is descriptive method. As a result of the study it was found that even though they stated the meaning of completion, the compound verb -kiru had a focus on the end point when the main part separated, while compound verb -nuku had a focus on the process. Besides adverb which follows the compound verb -kiru and  -nuku is not the same. Compound verb -kiru followed by adverb saigo made and subete, whereas compound verb -nuku is followed by adverb akumade, tetteiteki, ikkan shite, hitosuji ni, tokoton, and dokomademo.

Abstract

(Title: Value Of Sportivity In The Development Of Japanese Community Culture) This research is related to the development of Japanese culture. As a result, the pupose of this research is to describe the development of Japanese culture from time to time and then interpret the value of sportsmanship in the development of culture. This research is a qualitative study of philosophy. The formal object in this study is the philosophy of value, while the material object is Japanese culture. The method used is descriptions and interpretation.The results of this study are described as follows: The development of Japanese culture is formed through interaction with other nation. Japan was originally a nation that closed itself outside cultural intervention, but then the government opened itself up after realizing that there are still many left behind from other nations. Then the policy was changed by opening up to study in more development countries. The value of sportsmanship shown by Japanese people with an open mind and recognizing the superiorityof other nations and applying them in Japan according to their condition and needs. The sportsmanship of the Japanese people was able to accelerate the nation’s progress and proved that Japan was superior in various fields.

Abstract

(Title: Compound Verbs -Hajimeru, -Dasu, -Kakeru as An Inchoative Aspects Marker in Japanese Language) Compound verb -hajimeru, -dasu, and -kakeruare known as marker of inchoative aspects that express the beginning of a state. This study aims to describe the structure and meaning of the three compound verbs in order to be able to use the three markers of this aspect in the right situation. The method used in this research is descriptive method. As a result of the study it was found that the compound verb -hajimeru compound were used to express the beginning of an activity or event in general in Japanese; compound verb -dasu is used to express the beginning of an activity that occurs suddenly; while the compound verb -kakeru states that activity will begin in a moment, or states a moment  after an activity begin .

Abstract

(Title: Interest and Motivations in Japanese Learning) This article is the result of a case study for Japanese learners as the second foreign language. The large number of students taking Japanese language courses is the basis for this qualitative research. The respondent in this research was 70 Indonesian Literature students in 2016/2017. The purpose of this study research was to determine the interests and motivations of their interest in learning Japanese. There are four elements of interest and two types of motivation that are the focus of this research. With the questionnaire and interview methods, as a result it is known that the interest of the respondents is quite high based on the element of pleasure as the most answer. This element of pleasure includes the respondents' interest in  the Japanese things such as anime,manga and festivals. In terms of motivation, it is indicated that the most of the respondent reason refers to type of integrative motivation. The emergence of that integrative motivation is based on their interest in the uniqueness of Japanese language  and the attractiveness of Japanese cultural arts.

Abstract

(The Changes of Metaphor Classification in Laskar Pelangi Novelby Andrea Hirata Japanese Language Version BasedonTheir Cognitive Functions) This article analyzed the changes in the classification of metaphorical expressions contained in the Laskar Pelangi novel based on their cognitive functions after being translated into the Japanese version. The theory used in this research is the classification theory of metaphor based on its cognitive function proposed by Kovecses (2010). This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive type of research, while the method and data analysis uses interactive data analysis models from Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014). The results of the data analysis showed that of 505 data found, there were 15 classifications of metaphor changes based on their cognitive functions, they are structural metaphors changed to structural metaphors consist of  95 data (18.8%), ontological metaphors to ontological metaphors consist of 151 data (29.9%), orientational metaphors to orientational metaphors consist of  5 data (1.0%), structural metaphor became ontological metaphor consist of 11 data (2.2%), structural metaphor became orientational metaphor consist of 2 data (0.4%), structural metaphor became simile consist of 2 data (0, 4%), structural metaphor becomes non-metaphoric consist of 67 data (13.3%), structural metaphor that was not translated consist of 4 data (0.8%), ontological metaphor became structural metaphors consist of 21 data (4.2%), ontological metaphor became orientational metaphor consist of 5 data (1,0%), ontological metaphor became simile consist of 10 data (2.0%), ontological metaphor became non metaphoric expression consist of 102 data (20.2%), untranslated ontological metaphor consist of 21 data (4.2%), orientational metaphor became non-metaphorical consist of 8 data (1.6%), and orientational metaphor became simile consist of 1 data (0.2%).
