Early childhood research journal (ECRJ) publishes scientific articles in the field of pure and applied science about early childhood education including innovative and creative learning and teaching on early childhood education, detection of growth and development for early childhood, early childhood studies about nutrition and health. Abstract

Early childhood is a very appropriate age to practice independence, because this is a very important aspect for every early childhood. In training aspects of child independence must be carried out regularly, continuously and continuously and in accordance with the age of the child. Providing stimulation and habituation regularly and directed , will make the child more independent faster . The behavior modification method with economic tokens is one of the methods that has been researched and proven to be effective to be applied to increase the independence of early childhood . This study aims to increase the independence of group A kindergarten children in Tamansari 02 Village, Kerjo District, Karanganyar Regency by using economic tokens . The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test. The data collection technique uses a check list instrument totaling 16 items. The subjects of this study amounted to 7 child . The data analysis that the researcher used was the paired sample t test method . From the results of the study it was found that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test independence scores after the child was given treatment p 0.05 (p = 0.000). From these data it has been proven that the application of economic tokens is effective and can increase the independence of group A kindergarten children in Tamansari 02 Village, Kerjo District, Karanganyar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stages of drawing work for children aged 5-6 years in the Bakti Ibu Begajah Playgroup, Sukoharjo District, Sukoharjo Regency. Based on the results of observations of children's drawing work put forward by Lowendfeld and Brittam, children aged 5-6 years are included in the pre-drawn period. Judging from the Observation instrument for the stages of drawing eight children aged 5-6 years, there is one child in the fifth stage, one child in the sixth stage, one child in the eighth stage and three children showing the ninth stage, one child in the tenth stage and the last one in the eleventh stage. Most of the children showed the results of the drawing in the nine stages of drawing observation. It was concluded that children's drawing results show different stages of the development of children's drawing with different characteristics and patterns of children aged 5-6 years because they are influenced by several factors such as interests, learning experiences, lifestyle and the environment around the child. By understanding the stages of drawing children, it can make it easier for educators to provide appropriate and directional stimulation to the next drawing stage.

Abstract

The principles of parenting related to character development, including exemplary, togetherness in realizing moral values, democratic behavior, honesty, the ability to appreciate children's development and unity of words and actions. The original purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in the formation of children's character in RA. Al-Miftah, knowing the conflicts that parents face in making children's characters and revealing the consequences of the role of parents on the character of early childhood. as a result of interviews using a group B teacher to be a class teacher at RA. the teacher of group B stated that the students were conducted by class teachers and accompanying teachers. Assistant teachers are assigned to identify children with special needs in care. Identification of learning needs is carried out using an exclusive plunge into the field, delivering instruments and guidance. Based on the data that has been observed by researchers regarding the role of parents in shaping the character of their students, most of the parents answered that they often guided 6 people (60%), who answered that they often guided their children as much as 4 people (40%), and those who answered do not guide their children. there are no children (0%), then the conclusion of the respondents regarding the involvement of parents in the formation of the character of students is very good.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a form of implementation of the law article 31 paragraph 1 concerning education, because the purpose of inclusive education is to give children with special needs the same educational rights as normal children. In the implementation of inclusive education, it certainly requires a learning model that can help optimize the development of children with special needs, bearing in mind that the learning process for children with special needs requires special assistance so that it requires different learning strategies and models. Therefore, this study describes the pull out learning model used in the learning process of inclusive education at the Pelangi Anak Negeri Yogyakarta Islamic Kindergarten. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) The implementation of inclusive education, 2) The application of the pull out learning model, 3) The implementation of the pull out learning model in optimizing the abilities of children with special needs. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis was carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study state that the application of the pull out learning model can help optimize the ability of children with special needs to balance the abilities of normal children.

Abstract

The application of the coloring method through drawing sketches in developing children's fine motor skills and being able to find out fine motor development in group B children. The reason for choosing coloring picture sketch media is because coloring is one of the types of activities that children like to increase their creativity and imagination to develop their fine motor skills. This research is a class action research using qualitative data analysis. Data collection methods are carried out by observation and documentation. The instrument used is an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. Children's attention when learning children's fine motor development activities can be improved through the coloring sketch method. Children's attention has increased each cycle. In the pre-action, the attention of children with good attention criteria was only 40%. After the action in cycle I it increased to 60%, and in Cycle II the child's attention increased again to 93%. so that it can be concluded that the child's response in the activity of coloring a sketch of a picture is able to develop a child's imagination
