Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and identification constanta value of leaf shape for leaf area measurement using length cross width of leaf of horticulture plant in peat soil. This research was conducted from February to May 2015 in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. This research implemented by observed of leaf from 32 species of horticulture plant in peat soil. In every species, was observed 30 leaf (lamina). Measuring leaf area absolutelly using on grid paper or millimeter graph paper, and than measuring ratio if leaf area is can finding using length cross width of leaf. Result of this research, showed that 32 species of horticulture plant in peat soil have regularity of leaf shape and can identified of constanta value for leaf area measurement using length cross width of leaf.Leaf area measurement using length cross width of leaf is alternative technique because easier (simple), quick (fast), low cost, and accurate to plant growth analysis for non-destructive methods. Leaf area measurement not explain plant growth only, but many purposes was can resulted from it. This research suggested to identification of constanta value of leaf shape for another species horticulture plant in peat soil cultivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find Chicken Manure and NPK Mutiara Yaramila Fertilizer on the growth and yield eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in sandy soil. The research was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with two factors and three duplications. The first factor was to find chicken manure (K) on the three levels : 20 ton/ha (K1), 30 ton/ha (K2) and 40 ton/ha (K3), the second factor was NPK Mutiara Yaramila Fertilizer (Y) on the three level : 200 kg/ha (Y1), 300 kg/ha (Y2) and 400 kg/ha (Y3). The results show the experimental treatments of chicken manure and NPK Mutiara Yaramila Fertilizer was significantly on the parameters: plant high, number of leaves, number of productive branches, number of fruit and weight of fruit. The highest yield to parameters of plant high in old 2, 4 and 6 MST (25,30 cm, 36,37 cm and 60,83 cm) number of leaf in old 2, 4 and 6 MST (8,67 sheet, 11,00 sheet and 23,33 sheet), number of productive branches (8,67 branches), number of fruit (4,33 fruits) and weight of fruit (417,23 g), obtainable on the treatments to find chicken manure as big as 40 ton/ha and NPK Mutiara Yaramila Fertilizer as big as 300 kg/ha.

Abstract

Bibliotherapy as a technique in the activities of guidance and counseling services at the moment is becoming a necessity in the world where both readings based information in the form of digital print out or have been so familiar with the people who are also experiencing problems in the individual development of their social life . Bibliotherapy often referred to reading theraphy, which is in the process someone who is having problems asked to read books that are helping themselves and motivate in order to promote healing. Read about the difficulties others similar to them, can provide awareness and understanding of the problems faced. This research use descriptive approach or describing a problem based on literature review of existing literature or books in accordance with the guidelines of this study. In the implementation of this paper focuses on the study of literature study using historical study (Dirasat al - Tarikhiyah), which is trying to trace the concepts biblioteraphy, through studies and sources of books on therapy that are relevant to the discussion of this study . Reading activities in bibliotherapy uses age-appropriate books in the treatment and therapy is usually followed by discussions on the topic of life issues in accordance with the experienced conditions. Bibliotherapy is used by school counselors, social workers, health nurses, teachers and librarians. The use of the book as a therapy to support the needs of children in the process information to increase understanding and raise awareness of the problems experienced.

Abstract

The approach used is a qualitative approach. To obtain the relevant data is used several methods: 1) interview or interviews, 2) observation, and 3) documentation. The implementation process of data analysis in this research since the beginning of data collection and worked intensively after leaving the field. The data were analyzed by the researchers as soon as possible so that the data obtained are not raw or expired. Analysis of the data include: 1) data reduction, 2) display data, and 3) displays a conclusion and verification. The conclusion of this study are: 1) planning is the preparation of teachers of economics before the formative evaluation, which is to create a syllabus and lesson plans, so that the implementation of the formative evaluation can be run properly, 2) the implementation of the formative evaluation of economic subjects held in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Badr was appropriate the planning of the teacher concerned, 3) follow up the results of the formative evaluation, after carrying out formative evaluation test results will be communicated to students that study results can either continue to the next lesson, but for students who study results have not yet reached KKM will take remedial for repairs the results, 4) the obstacles in the learning process faced by teachers is mastery of the material, because the teachers of economics should be ready in the mastery of the material that will be presented to the learner, 5) the efforts of teachers of economics in the implementation of formative evaluation planning with good.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the role of guidance and counseling in motivating students to learn mathematics in class VII-8 SMP 3 Palangkaraya and describe the teacher's role in motivating students in learning. This type of approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, namely with information, correc fact and reliable. Subjects in this study were the teacher in class VII-8. The data used is primary data and secondary data collection techniques used in data observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis using the technique proposed by Milles and Hubermen namely data reduction, data display, and verification of decision making. These results indicate that BK teacher acts as a motivator and as a mentor in terms of motivating learners to learn math at grade VII-8 SMP 3 Palangkaraya.

Abstract

Learning by using aids will greatly help students understand the concepts contained in learning materials. The aid in learning circulation of blood is very needed by students to understand directly the blood circulatory system in humans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the three-dimensional visual aids in learning outcomes of material human blood circulatory system on high school students. The method used in this study was pretest-posttest control group design, in this design, there were two groups of randomly selected, and then the groups given a pretest to determine the initial condition is the difference between the experimental group and the control group. This study was conducted in period from April to May 2015. The sample of this study was the students of class XI in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya in odd semestre. The study was taken two classes, namely as an experimental class and control class. The number of the students of control class was 29 students, and for experiments class was 21 students. The data collected by a test with the form of multiple choice questions to measure student learning outcomes. The result of this study showed that the three-dimensional aids in learning human blood circulatory system had significant effect on improving students’ learning outcomes, based on t-test using SPSS software version 16.0. So, it can be concluded that the use of the three-dimensional aids in learning human circulatory system will improve the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of classroom management and motivation of learners towards mathematics learning outcomes of students in class V SD Se-Gugus VIII Palangka Raya.The research was done in Primary Schools Se-Gugus VIII Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan in October in the school year 2014/2015 Semester I. This research sample class V SDN 6 Pahandut and SDS Muhammadiyah Pahandut by 45 respondents drawn by technique Cluster Sampling Area.This research method with survey method by using path analysis, which aims to examine: 1) the direct influence of the management class to the learning outcomes of students math class V SD Se-Gugus VIII Palangka Raya, 2) direct influence between motivation of learners to results students learn math class V SD Se-Gugus VIII Palangka Raya, and 3) direct influence of the management class to the motivation of learners. In this study, we can conclude that there is a direct influence of the management class for math learning outcomes of 0.324, there is a direct influence of motivation toward mathematics learning outcomes of 0.350, and there is a direct influence of the management class on motivation to learn at 0.496.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure the effect of study of I-SETS (Islamic, Science, Environment, Technology and Society) toward the student’s study result in experiment group. The research method is using quantitative approach with quasi experiment and construction of Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population in this research is X grade student from MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya academic years 2012/2013, sample in this research is X-A grade student (experiment group) and X-B grade student (control group). The result of this research showed that: (a) Student’s result in experiment group was increasing from the pre-test to the post-test with the average from 46,29 becomes 71,41, whereas N-gain has an average 0,47 (b) Student’s result in control group from the pre-test to the post-test with the average from 43,90 becomes 63,53, whereas N-gain has an average 0,36. (c) Hypothesis examination of one way anova showed that study of I-SETS has an effect to the student’s result in experiment group. In this matter we can see based on the table of anova with the significant score = 0,003 more small than 0,05 (0,003 < 0,05) so Ho is denied dan Ha is accepted.

Abstract

These results showed that : (1) there is a significant correlation between self-concept and the ability of teachers to teach in the State Junior High School in Palangka Raya, amounting to 35.9%; (2) the results of research on teacher attitudes towards work gives a significant correlation with the teachers' teaching ability. Teacher attitudes toward work are able to contribute to the teaching capabilities of teachers by 41.2%; (3) the experience of being a teacher giving a significant correlation to the ability of teachers to teach. The experience of being a teacher is able to explain the ability of teachers to teach at 39.3%. (4) there is a significant correlation between self-concept, attitude towards the work of teachers, and the teachers' teaching experience in State Junior High School in Palangkaraya. These three independent variables jointly contribute significantly to the ability of teachers to teach, especially in this study amounted to 58.3%. (5) There is a correlation between the variables self-concept, attitudes of teachers towards work and experience as a teacher with the ability of teachers to teach. Variable attitude of teachers towards work (41.2%), is the most dominant variable related to the ability of teachers to teach.

Abstract

This research was conducted at State Senior High Schools in Palangka Raya, central Kalimantan, the purpose of this research is to know whether there is any significant relationship between Implementation of school based management toward the school effectiveness at State Senior High Schools in Palangka Raya simultaneously. This research was designed by using the correlation quantitative approach through survey method. Target population are all teachers at State Senior High Schools in Palangka Raya, which amount 163 teachers. The total number of research sample was 115 teachers. Sample was taken by using randomized proportional sampling technique. The result of this research conclude that there was a significant relationship between Implementation of school based management with the School Effectiveness, represented by the linear regression Ŷ= a + bX = 79,85 + 2,57X and correlation coefficient ry = 0.976 which is significant at α = 0,05. This result of this study is expected to be useful for improving the school effectiveness in achieving its vision and mission of the objective of effective and efficient school. It is therefore, necessary to effectively improve school is through the understanding of good teachers in the implementation of school management.
