Abstract

Abstract Education is a systematic process to improve human dignity in a holistic manner that allows self potentials (affective, cognitive, and psychomotor) develop optimally. Curriculum 2013 adheres to the basic view that knowledge cannot be moved away from the teacher to the learner. For learners, learning should be shifted from "notified" to "actively seek out". One of methods that can be applied is a game “What's in here?”, that is learning with the game questions that make students happy to learn but it is also able to educate students to be more creative thinking and develop knowledge. The game “What's In Here?” can be used as an alternative method of teach for training elementary school students to have questioning skills. Keywords: questioning skills, game “What's in Here?” elementary school students

Abstract

Kenyataan yang terjadi di lapangan, dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 terutama dalam penilaian hasil belajar, masih banyak guru yang mengalami kesulitan untuk mengembangkan tes hasil belajar dalam menyusun kisi-kisi dan butir soal. Penelitian tentang pengembangan tes hasil belajar difokuskan pada mahasiswa S1 PGSD semester 6 (enam) yang merupakan calon pendidik di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Jadi, dapat dikatakan bahwa tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) kompetensi mahasiswa S1 PGSD dalam pengembangan tes hasil belajar yang merupakan jenis instrumen penilaian pengetahuan dan 2) upaya peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa S1 PGSD dalam pengembangan tes hasil belajar, yaitu membuat kisi-kisi dan soalnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa S1 PGSD dalam hal pengembangan tes hasil belajar setelah mendapatkan tindakan menerima teori tentang kisi-kisi dan butir soal sesuai kaidah penulisan butir soal dalam Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

This research is attempted to: (1) describe the steps of the development of local-wisdom-based integrated teaching media; (2) describe the quality of the local-wisdom-based teaching media; (3) describe the implementation of local-wisdom-based teaching media; and (4) describe the impacts of the implementation of local-wisdom-based teaching media. The method of the research is Dick and Carey’s model of Research and Development, which frames the development of teaching instruments. The objects of the research are the developed teaching instruments, and the subjects are 10 students of Balerejo II and 30 students of Balerejo IV. The data are analyzed descriptively by using observation record for the teaching events, and appraisal technique for the teaching instruments. The results of the analysis show that: (1) the teaching instruments can be well-developed being measured by the Dick and Carey’s model, which are scored as: 4.22 for Lesson Plan, 4.5 for Media, 4.14 for Teacher’s Guide, 4.26 for Book, and 3.96 Student Work Sheets; (2) the quality of the local-wisdom media is good; (3) the implementation of the model is good, by 89.75% of the application of lesson plan in the fisrt meeting and 91.01% in the second meeting. Students’ response is good, by 40.6 (agree) and 41.2 (very much agree). Teacher’s activities are good in response to the suggested activities of the lesson plan. Students’ activities are good with 99.41% of the activities are relevant to lesson plan, and the average achievement raise significantly. (4) Supporting factors cope with students’ experience in learning amusingly without disturbing contact to their mates. Some disadvantagous factors can be resolved by teacher’s improvisations. Key words:   Teaching Media Development, Integrated Teaching and Learning

Abstract

Multimedia is media that combine two or more elements are composed of text, graphics, images, photographs, audio, video, and animation are integrated. In multimedia-assisted learning, students are given the opportunity to learn not only of learning resources such as teachers, but give the opportunity to students to develop better cognitive, creative, and innovative. Cognitive Load Theory is a theory that was introduced as a teaching theory based on the knowledge of human cognitive architecture that we have. The main principle of Cognitive Load Theory is the quality of learning is enhanced if attention is concentrated on the role and limitations of working memory. Three cognitive load in working memory, which is intrinsic cognitive load, Germany cognitive load, and extraneous cognitive load. Keywords: Multimedia, Cognitive Load Theory, intrinsic cognitive load, Germany cognitive load, and extraneous cognitive load.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes in science subjects is because teachers in the field using conventional learning strategies, so that students feel bored and not in the spirit of the learning process. Therefore, the teachers are required to be able to choose an effective learning strategies and efficient. This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of learning strategies PAILKEM with animated media for learning outcomes IPA grade IV SDN Kedungbanteng 3 City Ponorogo in academic year 2015/2016. This research is a quantitative research using experimental methods. This study research design static two groups. The sample selection using saturation sampling technique that is all class IVA and IVB with the number of 27 students per class. The data collection technique using the test method to learn science student outcome data. Data were analyzed with the average difference test (t-test) were previously performed tests of normality and homogeneity test. The results of t-test analysis showed that the value t_hitung = 3.098961 and t_tabel = 1.703 and significance level of 5% t_hitung> t_tabel then H_0 rejected concluded that received H_0 H_a rejected and accepted. so it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students in the class who were treated using learning strategies PAILKEM with animation media better than the class that is not treated with the use of learning strategies PAILKEM with animation media. This means that there is a significant effect on student learning outcomes with the application of learning strategies PAILKEM with animation media in science subjects subject matter "Natural Resources" in the fourth grade SDN Kedungbanteng 3 cities Ponorogo.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, PAILKEM, Media Animation

Abstract

Language and the speech society can not even be separated to each other, because when there is a language, there will be a speech community and vice-versa. Langauge has even become one of condition of society. The existence and use of the language in society is learned through sociolinguistics, which views language as a means of communication rather than a system alone, bearing varieties in line with the given social domains. On the other hand, the traditional language teaching has regarded language as a system, which entails structuralism models of teaching. In the development of the language teaching methods, language is not merely seen as a system, rather than a communication tool, just as sociolinguistics have suggested. This articles discusses the role of sociolingusitics in the development of teaching models, beginning from the nature of speech community, language function up to sociolinguistics-based language teaching models.

Abstract

The crisis of moral and character are serious talk and continuously. Indonesia has problem in moral and character crisis. Last month and also latest few years aggressively presented how the moral destruction of children, for example: sexual harassment and sexual abuse happen everywhere. In fact, the fate of the nation depends on them. Children are a golden generation that will continue struggle of the founders of this nation. That fact becomes our responsible, not just the government, teachers and parents and the environment. All citizens must intervene to face both moral and character emergency. Therefore, children's literature comes to a repair process and the moral character of the nation. Children's literature should be re-presented and enjoyed by them. The purposes of the study are: 1) describe a study of moral teachings and character found in fable The Tale of Tales of State and, 2) recommends that children's literature can be interesting and fun for teaching materials.

Abstract

Sexual development of mental retardation’s children follows the physical development, thus experiencing a similar development with the normal ones. Those students have difficulty in understanding abstract information about the physical changes during puberty. Therefore, through the medium of learning macromedia flash, the sex education learning can be understood by them. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using multimedia in teaching sex education as preparation for mental retardation’s students during puberty in SLB B/C SLB Al Azhar Waru Sidoarjo. The subjects were mental retardation’s students in that schools. Data collection techniques used in this research was shaped test objective tests. The design model used in this study is one group pretest-posttest design (treatment by subject design). Data analysis techniques used by the author in this research was a non-parametric analysis techniques that rank test Wilcoxon signed Sign marked tests (Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test). Based on the data analysis and discussion of the results of research, known that the Z count = -2070 with P = 0.038 at significance level of 5%. The results are smaller than 0.05 can be proven true. Based on those explanations it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis which states "Learning to use Macromedia Flash is effective in teaching sex education for mental retardation’s students in SLB B / C Al Azhar Waru Sidoarjo" can be proven true.Keywords: Macromedia Flash, sex education, children with intellectual disability

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan, (1) sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa semester V prodi PGSD; (2) kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat mahasiswa semester V. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester V kelas 03 Prodi PGSD yang berjumlah 32 mahasiswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang meliputi tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi metode dan data. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah diksriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian pada kondisi awal menunjukkan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa sebesar 70% dan kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat mahasiswa sebesar 68,36%. Siklus I sikap peduli lingkungan  sebesar 78% dan kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat menunjukkan peningkatan menjadi   dan 75,20% . Siklus II sikap peduli lingkungan dan kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat mahasiswa menunjukkan peningkatan dan sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan yaitu sebesar 88% dan 84,38%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking chips disertai fotonovela dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan dan kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat mahasiswa.

Abstract

Pedagogics as the mainstream in edication, requires practical  notions generated from phylosophy so that the contents can fulfil conceptual and functional substances. Phylosophy proposes questions and search for reality and experience which are usually found in educational practice. Phylosophy and education are interrelated, where problems of education and those of phylosophy belong to the same area. The development of conceptual frameworks is spawned by phylosophy. Educational phylosophy bears schools as naturalism, idealism, realism, pragmatism, progressivism, esentialism and perenialism. Morality has become a set of rules of the way people mutually need the others, rationally receive for the sake of mutual benefits in the obedience of the rules. The most crucial problem of social contract is the mutual trust against others,obedience of rules, except in a very specific condition.
