Abstract

This paper discusses about choosing the optimal number of hidden units at neural network models which is applied to the Composite Stock Price Index data in Surabaya Stock Exchange. One of the problem in fitting NN models is  an NN model which fits well may give poor out-of-sample forecasts. Thus it is required traditional methods such as ACF and PACF to select a good NN model, e.g. to select appropiate lagged variables as the ‘inputs’. The Incremental Contribution of Cells methods which belong to the general-to-specific procedure is used to choose the optimal number of hidden units. The size and topology of networks is selected by reducing the size of the network through the use of kuadratic correlation coefficients and graphical analysis of network output for every  hidden layer cell. The resulted of NN model is compared with models with different architecture those obtain from the Box-Jenkins methods. The Akaike’s Information Criterion and Schwartz Bayesian Criterion are used for comparing different models.

Abstract

Lahirnya undang-undang tentang otonomi daerah telah membawa kehidupan baru dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan daerah. Pada sektor pendidikan, tuntutan perubahan juga bergulir sejalan dengan arus perubahan di sektor-sektor lain. Salah satu isu perubahan dalam sistem pendidikan adalah desentralisasi pendidikan dalam konteks kebijakan otonomi daerah yang luas. Sesuai dengan PP No.60 dan PP No.61/1999, empat PTN yaitu UI, ITB, IPB, dan UGM dijadikan pilot projeck otonomi PTN. Statusnya menjadi badan hukum  seperti Perusahaan Umum (Perum) atau BHBN (Badan Hukum Milik Negara). Status pegawai menjadi  PU (Pegawai Universitas). Pimpinan PTN bertanggung jawab kepada Majelis Wali Amanat (Board of Trustees). Di bidang akademik Pimpinan PTN bertanggung jawab kepada kepada Senat Akademik. Untuk menghindari konflik manajemen perlu aturan jelas dan adil antara PTN dan PTS. Implementasi konsep otonomi pendidikan tingkat sekolah dilakukan melalui School Based Managemen (SBM) dilaksanakan melalui termi-nologi Manajemen Peningktan Mutu Berbasis Sekolah (MPMBS). Beberapa masalah implementasi otonomi pendidikan adalah  capacity building, transparansi manajemen, akuntabilitas, tarik menarik kepentingan, dan kesenjangan anggaran pendidikan.

Abstract

. Developed bonus malus system (BMS) is to make the premium paid by insured will be as closed as possible with expected occurrence of claim in every year basis. To study the efficiency of a BMS, we must previously observe the effect of claim frequency on value of premium. The efficiency of Bonus Malus System can be found through its Markov model; that is by found a stationary distribution in form of line vectors of its BMS Markov chain with its components as a function of claim frequency. In this paper, the BMS used is that of Brazil.

Abstract

Gaus Quadrature Formula is better alternative than Newton Cotes Formula. The principal of Gaus Quadrature Formula determine unequal interval to minimize the error of approximation of integration. Formulation Gaus Quadrature on limited interval for numerical integration can use Hermite Interpolation Formula. Then, using the properties of Legendre polynomial which orthogonal on [-1,1] can determined nodes and weights. So, based on nodes and weight can be determined a Gaus – Legendre Quadratur Formula.

Abstract

Application program security image using DES cryptographic algorithm and discrete wavelet transform is an application program that is used to secure image transmission through the Internet. Manufacturing processes are as follows, first is to make the program application for image encryption ciphertext is a program that is used to transform the initial image into the form of a compressed image using advanced discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the Haar filter, then encrypt image transformation results with using the DES encryption algorithm specified by the encryption key, the encrypted form of information in the form of ciphertext. The second process is the process for making an application program to restore the initial image into the form ciphertext, the ciphertext decrypt the encrypted image and the particular key (the key with encryption) using DES decryption algorithm, the decrypted image, then decrypted form of the image is brought back into form initial image using inverse discrete wavelet transformation (IDWT) and reconstruction program.

Abstract

Consider a non increasing sequence of non negative integres d = (d1, d2, …, dn) . A sequence d is called a graphic if it is sequnce of degrees on a simple graph with n order. In this paper will be discussed necessary and sufficient conditions of a sequence d be a graphic. And then will be constructed an algorithm to determine a sequence be a graphic, particularly a sequnce with n large order.

Abstract

Let G = (V(G),E(𝐺)) be a graph with vertex set 𝑉(𝐺) and edge set 𝐸(𝐺). Assume that graph G have 𝑞 edge. Graceful edge-odd labeling is a bijective map  𝑓 ∶ 𝐸(𝐺) →  {1, 3, 5,…,2𝑞 – 1} that resulting map 𝑓+ : 𝑉(𝐺) → {0,1,2,…,2𝑞 −1} with  such as obtained different edge label. Graph G ia called Graceful edge-odd labeling if there is graceful edge-odd labeling on G. Let  and  are two cycle graph with vertex set  and . Graph  is obtained by conected every vertex from  to   such as we have edge  Graph Web W(2,n) is a graph obtained by adding a pendant edge on each outer cycle vertex from graph . Abstract

  Tulisan ini membahas prosedur pengujian linearitas data time series menggunakan uji RESET test versi Ramsey dan Lagrange Multiplier. Uji yang digunakan adalah uji yang telah diperbaiki dengan pembentukan komponen utama dari bentuk polinomial pada persamaan uji. Prosedur uji kemudian diterapkan pada data simulasi untuk model linear AR(2), AR(2) dengan outlier dan model nonlinear  LSTAR(2) dengan n = 200. Pengujian menunjukkan hasil yang mirip diantara kedua uji dimana data simulasi dari model linear tidak menjamin kelinearan, sedangkan data simulasi model nonlinear secara signifikan berbentuk nonlinear pada taraf 5%.
