Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of menstruation on sports activities. The research method was Ex post facto. Research samples were students who had experience in menstruation when the research is done. Sampling technique that used was purposive sampling. This data collection technique was Physical Freshness Test Indonesia. The data analysis technique used was t test, the result of the data obtained was analyzed by using quantitative analysis by calculating the difference between pretest and final test (Post-test). The results showed that: (1) Increased the average value of students from the first test to the final test; (2) testing by using t test obtained t count (2.82)> t-table (2.36); (3) There is influence of menstruation on student sport activity. Keywords— Menstruation, Sports Activities, Students

Abstract

Abstract — The process of learning (education) is a process in which a person is taught to be faithful and obedient also his mind is nurtured and developed. Education for a developing nation like the Indonesian nation today is an absolute necessity that can not be negotiable, the development of education must also be in line with the development guidance step by step. A student in learning activities at school will not be separated from the various rules and regulations that apply in school, and every student is required to be able to behave in accordance with the rules and regulations that apply in school. However, for children who are unfamiliar with the discipline, this will become hard when done at school. This less disciplined child will usually violate the existing order because he thinks the rule is what he wants to do. This is where the necessary role of teachers to help improve students' learning discipline, which is also a tool to control the behavior of students who are considered still distorted so that students become discipline in terms of learning or others. Development with physical education in schools requires skills, such as basic movement skills, sports game techniques and strategies, internalization of values (sportsmanship, honesty, cooperation, etc.) and healthy lifestyle habits. Implementation is not through conventional teaching in the classroom that is theoretical study, but involves physical elements, mental, intellectual, emotional and social.  Keywords — Physical Education, Discipline. Abstrak — Proses belajar (pendidikan) adalah proses yang dimana seseorang diajarkan untuk bersikap setia dan taat juga pikirannya dibina dan dikembangkan. Pendidikan bagi bangsa yang sedang berkembang seperti bangsa Indonesia saat ini merupakan kebutuhan mutlak yang tidak bisa ditawar lagi, perkembangan pendidikan juga harus sejalan dengan tuntunan pembangunan setahap demi setahap. Seorang siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan belajar di sekolah tidak akan lepas dari berbagai peraturan dan tata tertib yang diberlakukan di sekolahnya, dan setiap siswa dituntut untuk dapat berperilaku sesuai dengan aturan dan tata tertib yang yang berlaku di sekolahnya. Akan tetapi bagi anak yang tidak terbiasa dengan tata tertib hal ini akan menjadi terasa berat ketika dilakukan pada saat di sekolah. Anak yang kurang disiplin ini biasanya akan melanggar tata tertib yang ada karena ia berpikir peraturan itu merupakan keinginan apa yang ia lakukan. Disinilah diperlukan adanya peran guru untuk membantu meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa, yang sekaligus menjadi alat pengendali perilaku siswa yang dianggap masih menyimpang sehingga siswa menjadi displin dalam hal belajar ataupun yang lainnya. Pengembangan dengan pendidikan jasmani disekolah membutuhkan ketrampilan, seperti ketrampilan gerak dasar, teknik dan strategi permainan olah raga, internalisasi nilai-nilai (sportifitas, jujur, kerjasama, dan lain-lain) serta pembiasaan pola hidup sehat. Pelaksanaannya bukan melalui pengajaran konvensional didalam kelas yang bersifat kajian teoritis, namun melibatkan unsure fisik, mental, intelektual, emosi dan sosial. Kata Kunci — Pendidikan Jasmani, kedisiplinan.

Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted in order to evaluate the implementation of character values in the English language instructional activities at SMP Negeri 6 Palembang.The subjects of the research were the seventh grade students and the English teacher. The researcher analyzed the lesson plans and the implementation to investigate how character values were inserted in teaching of the four basic skills in English. The character values included to be observed in this study were about religous behaviour, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard working, creativity, independence, democracy, curiousity, patriotism, appreciation towards achievement, courteous/communicative ability, love peace, love reading, conservation, social care, logical thinking,and responsibility. The instrument of the study consisted of field notes, and interview guide. The analysis indicated that the teacher did not explicitly insert the character values into theindicators and assessment instrument. However, some values were reflected in the teaching and learning activities, and in the implementationof teaching the four skills in the classroom. Character values in learning only becomes a mere discourse will not work because there no continuity and harmoniation betwee students, teachers, schools and students’ parent.

Abstract

and White Hair are folklore from Perigi, Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir, which sparked the contestation of some of the binary opposition between Palembang and Kayuagung. This paper discusses Durkheimian cultural paradigm consisting of the sacred, classification, rite, and solidarity of the story. the approach taken is the approach of literary sociology by utilizing content analysis or an objective approach in its analysis. The results of the analysis show that two entities, Langkuse and Sunan Palembang, became the most acting actors in the story, and also in the application of this Durkheimian cultural paradigm. Keywords: folklore, the sacred, classification, rite, solidarity. Abstrak - Cerita rakyat merupakan cerita dari mulut ke mulut yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat pemilik cerita tersebut. Langkuse dan Rambut Putih merupakan cerita rakyat yang berasal dari Perigi, Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir, yang memantik kontestasi beberapa oposisi biner di antara Palembang dengan Kayuagung. Tulisan ini membahas paradigma kultural Durkheimian yang terdiri atas the sacred, klasifikasi, ritus, dan solidaritas dari cerita tersebut. pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan sosiologi sastra dengan memanfaatkan analisis isi atau pendekatan objektif di dalam penganalisisannya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dua entitas, yaitu Langkuse dan Sunan Palembang menjadi aktor yang paling berperan di dalam cerita, dan juga di dalam penerapan paradigma kultural Durkheimian ini. Kata kunci: cerita rakyat, the sacred, klasifikasi, ritus, solidaritas.

Abstract

This study discusses the ecosystem cultural issues and their potential for environmentally sound development in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Two entities that need to be separated are the epistemological concept of culture and the concept of the state as an organization based on the law (constitution). These two entities are related, and will be explained and made into a conceptual foundation. Basically, communities in Indonesia have local ecosystem wisdom and intelligence as part of cultural system. The conception of local wisdom and intelligence they build is framed in harmony with the natural environment in which they live. Establishment of ecosystem values or norms into culture or tradition has close ties to nature as a source of economy - social welfare. Therefore, the alignment of the environment with the production process (economy) as well as other possibilities in the context of comfort, security, and even religion should be a calculation in taking policy. In certain contexts, sometimes it becomes preserved and even developed into a resource (potential) of development based on cultural sustainability. Keywords— Ecosystem culture, development, environmental sustainability

Abstract

The purpose in this discussion is to know the concept of humanities education towards cultured beings. Cultivated beings are known to be human beings are expected to be able to make humanities education as an effort to become human more human. This humanity presents the educational material depicting human wholeness which means putting human beings in the midst of the educational process which includes three things as follows (1) menyatrazapkan development of mind and (ratios) with the heart (taste) (2) introduce to students the values of humanity universal and eternal. (3) to prioritize cooperation between the concept of education and students and between the theories taught, then practiced in life. The sample of this discussion is the human being who is regarded as the most cultured and intellectual creature, which is essentially intellect and mind are two possessions possessed by the human soul and is expected with the human mind and mind to utilize the wealth for the essential needs of life. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of demonstration method by using boiler props (boiler) to understanding the concept of Law I Thermodynamics class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Ujanmas. The type of this research is quantitative description research. The population of this research is all grade XI IPA in SMA Negeri 1Ujanmas, with simple random sampling technique obtained class XI IPA 3 as control class and class XI IPA 4 as experiment class. The research instrument is a test question as much as 5 questions that are prepared based on conceptual understanding indicators. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. the result of the analysis was obtained, the mean value of the experimental class posttest was 78.2 and the control class 65.6. T-test of both samples for posttest with significant level α = 0.05 obtained ttable = 2.00 and tcount = 4.98 then thitung> ttable thus Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Based on the calculation of data, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of demonstration method by using boiler props (boiler) to understanding the concept of material physics Law I thermodynamics in class XI IPA in SMA Negeri 1 Ujanmas

Abstract

Mathematics can be represented by many forms such as symbolical, verbal, graphical, or tabular representations. To understand mathematics concepts is by connecting or translating all kind of mathematics representations. Therefore, mathematics teachers should facilitate students to translation all kind of mathematics representations. This article discusses the research results which investigated how mathematics teachers implement their teaching which facilitate students to translation mathematics representations. Data were collected by questionnaire, documentation, and observation. Sample of the research were 91 mathematics teachers of junior and senior high schools from some regions of South Sumatera and Bangka Belitung. The research results show that mathematics teachers have already implemented mathematics representation properly, however representations used by the teachers were not variably, which means translations between representations were not implemented yet. By comparing all mathematics representations, the symbolical representation was the most frequently used in teaching and learning. Mathematics teachers whom did not or poorly implemented mathematics representations in their teaching considered the national examination not requiring variation of the representations.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to resulting in comparative learning material trajectories to support students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Research methods design research used in this study, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory developed from a series of comparative material learning activities. Theoretically, development is carried out through an interative process including preliminary design, teaching experiment, and restrospective analysis in order to contribute to Local Intructional Theory, to support students' reasoning abilities. The subjects of this study were students PGSD Semester II as much 38 students. Data collection techniques used in this study are videos, student worksheets, tests, and Interview. Keywords: Learning Design, Comparative Mathematics, Reasoning Abilities. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan lintasan belajar materi perbandingan untuk mendukung kemampuan bernalar matematika mahasiswa. Metode penelitian design research yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dugaan lintasan belajar (Hypothetical Learning Trajectory) dikembangkan dari serangkaian aktivitas pembelajaran materi perbandingan. Pengembangan secara teoritis dilaksanakan melalui proses interatif meliputi merancang aktivitas pembelajaran (preliminary design), melaksanakan pembelajaran (teaching experiment) dan melakukan analisis retrospektif (restrospective analysis) dalam rangka memberi kontribusi terhadap teori pembelajaran lokal (Local Intructional Theory) untuk mendukung kemampuan bernalar mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Semester II sebanyak 38 mahasiswa. Abstract

One category in the scope of the science process is the category using scientific evidence. The purpose of this science literacy test is to know the extent to which students literacy skills. The test was conducted on September 11, 2017. Respondents were Physics students who took Basic Chemistry course in the first semester. The highest student grade score was 56.5, the lowest was 17.4 with the average of 35.3 points. The results showed that the ability to use scientific evidence of students in the low category.
