Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of picture stories on the recall memory ability of elementary school students. This study's population and sample were all SD X's fourth-grade students, totaling 36 students. This quasi-experimental research compares two groups of research targets, one treatment group (experimental) and one control group. The research design used in this study was a "non-equivalent control group design," which is a research design with two groups selected non-randomly (random), namely the treatment group (experimental) and the control group. Both obtained pretest and post-test. Statistical analysis was carried out using the Paired Sample T-Test formula to analyze data on recall memory ability. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the average value of the experimental class is 71.44, and the average value of the control class is 62.47. There is an average difference between the post-test of the experimental class and the control class of 8.97. And the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. It is concluded that there is an effect of picture stories on students' recall memory ability.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between learning independence and learning motivation with social studies learning outcomes. This study uses an experimental method with an associative quantitative approach, which explains the presence or absence of influence between various variables based on the size of the correlation coefficient. This research was conducted on fifth-grade students in the first semester of SD Gugus V Ciracas District East Jakarta in the 2022/2023 school year with 100 samples. Data were collected through social studies learning outcomes tests. The analysis showed that the level of learning independence and motivation together had a strong and positive correlation with the learning achievement of Class V students in Gugus V, Ciracas District, East Jakarta. In other words, the higher the level of children's independence, the higher the learning outcomes. Likewise, learning motivation, in turn, improves learning outcomes.

Abstract

Some regions in Indonesia are still in the top, remote, and underdeveloped categories. In order to support the quality of learning that can reach all re-gions, learning videos are used through the YouTube channel. This research is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design with the match-ing-only pretest-posttest as the experimental design. The research sample consisted of 60 students, with 30 students as the control class (the group of students who were not given the product) and 30 students as the treatment class (the group of students who were given the product). The results are that YouTube videos are still effectively used to improve students' basic abilities. It is recommended that lecturers who teach micro-teaching courses use learning videos on the YouTube channel to support improving stu-dents' micro-teaching skills.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effect of Learning Media and Learning Independence on the Narrative Writing Ability of Grade V Students in Gugus II, Cempaka Putih District. The experimental method was used with a target population of 261 students. The sample consisted of 43 students who were given Animated Film Learning Media, divided into 22 students of high learning independence and 21 students of low learning independence, and 43 students who were given Film Learning Media, divided into 22 students of high learning independence and 21 students of low learning independence. The results showed that Narrative Writing Ability was higher in the group given Animated Film Learning Media than in Film Learning Media (Fhitung = 13.018 > Ftabel = 3.96). Narrative Writing Ability is also higher in students with high independence than low independence (Fcount = 11.922 > Ftable = 3.96). There is an interaction between learning media and independence in students' narrative writing ability (Fcount = 61.052 > Ftable = 3.96). This research can potentially improve narrative writing learning in Class V elementary schools in Gugus II Cempaka Putih District

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on the effect of the TGT (Teams-Games Tournament) and NHT (Numbered Head Together) cooperative learning models on improving science learning outcomes for fifth grade students. This research was conducted on students who were registered as students in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research was conducted from October to December 2022. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a (t-test). The total population 396 and sample of 58 students obtained randomly. The instrument used is a multiple choice test with answer choices a, b, c, and d. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing of the experimental 1 group and the experimental 2 group, tcount = 3.749 was obtained, then table was obtained with a result = 1.997. Thus it can be stated that there is a positive influence between the variables of cooperative learning type TGT (Teams-Games Tournament) and NHT (Numbered Head Together) learning models and the variables of science learning outcomes. Thus the conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of the TGT (Teams-Games Tournament) and NHT (Numbered Head Together) type group learning models on the learning outcomes of class V students in Gugus III MuaraGembong Bekasi District.

Abstract

This study has the main objective to examine the correlation between vocabulary acquisition and environmental utilization with the writing skills of elementary school students. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method and correlation technique, this study answers three key hypotheses. First, the results indicated a significant positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and descriptive essay writing skills, with a correlation value (rcount) of 0.823, which far exceeded the significance threshold (rtable) of 0.195. Secondly, the study also found a positive relationship between the utilization of the environment as a learning resource and descriptive essay writing skills, with an rcount of 0.632 which significantly exceeds the rtabel. Finally, when analyzed together, vocabulary acquisition and environmental utilization strongly influence students' writing skills, indicated by a multiple correlation coefficient of 0.834 and a coefficient of determination of 0.695. This result illustrates that about 69.5% of the variability in descriptive essay writing skills can be explained by the combination of vocabulary acquisition and utilization of the environment as a learning resource. These findings underscore the importance of considering these two factors in educational planning to improve students' writing skills at the primary school level.
