Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities need to receive optimal educational services during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze inclusive education services for children with mild intellectual disabilities during the pandemic. This study used a survey method with a sample of 10 inclusive elementary schools in Jakarta with 25 teachers and 10 parents who have children with mild intellectual disabilities. The finding shows that inclusive education services in the sub-district of Setiabudi, South Jakarta need improvement and improvement in all aspects, from teachers, curriculum, media and in terms of parents. All components must contribute to providing optimal learning services for children with mild intellectual disabilities to match the vision of inclusive education itself, where schools make adjustments both in terms of curriculum, educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as learning systems tailored to the individual needs of students. Thus the results of this study can be used as benchmarks for us as academics, especially for policy makers to contribute to improving the quality of education, especially inclusive education services for children with special needs.

Abstract

Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan cara guru dalam melakukan pembinaan minat dan bakat siswa berkebutuhan khusus yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu mengidentifikasi, mengasesmen, mengelompokkan, melatih, dan mengikuti perlombaan, juga bertujuan untuk menguraikan faktor penghambat yang dialami serta faktor pendukung yang dilakukan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan metode penelitian naratif inkuiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Susukan 01 Pagi sebagai salah satu SD inklusi yang ada di Jakarta Timur. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru Pembimbing Khusus (GPK). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara dengan GPK sebagai instrument utama dalam penelitian. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai informasi dari informan yang kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk rangkaian susunan cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pembinaan minat dan bakat di SDN Susukan 01 Pagi dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi, asesmen, klasifikasi, pelatihan dan perlombaan. Dalam prakteknya dukungan sosial dan GPK memiliki peranan yang penting dalam membina minat dan bakat anak berkebutuhan khusus. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan memiliki kendala yang berasal dari siswa itu sendiri seperti mood siswa yang mudah berubah. : The purpose of this research is to explain the way teachers in fostering the interests and talents of students with special needs consisting of several stages, namely identifying, assessing, grouping, training, and participating in competitions, also aims to describe the inhibiting factors experienced and supporting factors that are carried out by schools. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach using the inquiry narrative research method. This research was conducted at SDN Susukan 01 Pagi as one of the inclusive elementary schools in East Jakarta. The subject in this study was the Special Teacher/Guru Pendamping Khusus (GPK). Data collection techniques used were interviews with GPK as the main instrument in research. Data analysis was performed by presenting data and drawing conclusions by gathering various information from informants who were then presented in the form of a series of story arrangements. The results showed that the interest and talent training program at SDN Susukan 01 Pagi was carried out through the stages of identification, assessment, classification, training and competitions. In practice social support and GPK have an important role in fostering the interests and talents of children with special needs. In carrying out activities there are obstacles that come from the students themselves such as student’s moods that are easy to change.

Abstract

Abstract: Maximum inclusive education can be seen from good management for the school. One of them is financial management/funding. Funding and the allocation of these funds are one of the influential aspects for the success of schools in implementing inclusive education. So that this study aims to determine the effect of the allocation of school funds at SMA Garuda Cendekia Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques with one of the special supervisor teachers (GPK) who has been teaching for at least 5 years. The results showed that Garuda Cendekia High School needed sufficient funds to implement inclusive education because the management and funding at Garuda Cendekia High School had not been maximized, especially related to special facilities for children with special needs.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana layanan pendidikan inklusi anak berkebutuhan khsuus tunarungu di Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Anak tunarungu memiliki hambatan dalam pendengaran akibatnya tunarungu kesulitan dalam berbicara. Anak tunarungu memaksimalkan indera penglihatannya sebagai jalan penyempurna dari kurangnya indera pendengaran. Mereka memiliki gerakan mata yang cepat, agak beringas. Sisa pendengaran anak tuna rungu dapat dilatih dengan latihan Bina Persepsi Bunyi dan Irama, anak tuna rungu juga dapat melatih otot-otot berbicaranya sehingga dapat berkomunikasi seperti anak normal lainnya. Pengembangan komunikasi persepsi bunyi dan irama merupakan program khusus yang dilakukan sekolah SLBN Ciamis untuk melatih kemampuan anak tunarungu di sekolah. Namun pada saat pandemic covid-19 orang tua menjadi pendamping khusus sekaligus sebagai guru selama dirumah untuk melatih berbicara anaknya menggunakan bahasa sehari hari selain dibantu melalui alat bantu mendengar yang dipandu oleh guru nya.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to analyze learning models appropriate for children with moderate intellectual disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic because all learning in schools turn into distance learning. This period is very crucial, especially for children with moderate learning disability in learning. This research used a qualitative method with a case study. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews and observations. The subjects were two special education teachers, a homeroom teacher, and two parents of children with moderate intellectual disabilities. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the research findings. In this study, the answers of parents and teachers as respondents were evaluated. The results showed a suitable learning model to use during this pandemic was a project-based individual learning model. Teachers could provide a simple project containing soft skill and hard skills for children with intellectual disabilities controlled under their parents' supervision. The focus of learning was not on achieving cognitive abilities as in general, but on how they could be skilled and independent in carrying out activities. The findings of this research could provide teachers and parents with solutions in guiding learning activities for children with moderate intellectual disabilities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk anak tunagrahita sedang pada saat pandemi COVID-19 karena semua pembelajaran di sekolah berubah menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Periode ini sangat krusial, terutama bagi anak-anak dengan ketidakmampuan belajar sedang dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru pendidikan luar biasa, seorang wali kelas, dan dua orang tua anak tunagrahita sedang. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk menafsirkan temuan penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, jawaban orang tua dan guru sebagai responden dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk digunakan selama pandemi ini adalah model pembelajaran individu berbasis proyek. Guru dapat memberikan proyek sederhana yang berisi soft skill dan hard skill untuk anak tunagrahita yang dikendalikan di bawah pengawasan orang tua. Fokus pembelajaran bukan pada pencapaian kemampuan kognitif seperti pada umumnya, tetapi pada bagaimana mereka bisa terampil dan mandiri dalam melakukan aktivitas. Temuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan solusi kepada guru dan orang tua dalam memandu kegiatan pembelajaran bagi anak tunagrahita sedang, khususnya pada saat pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze efforts to teach social interaction interactions to autistic children in inclusive elementary schools. The research method used is narrative inquiry. Research subjects are children with autistic barriers in inclusive primary schools. Subjects have difficulty controlling behavior, tend not to pay attention to their interlocutor when interacting, and display repetitive behavior, moving their fingers, shouting, laughing for no apparent reason, and tantrums. Assessment of the social interaction ability of children with autistic barriers can be seen from eye contact, facial expressions, repetitive or odd movements that are less focused, lack of ability to play with friends, and emotional states such as crying or sudden anger. The form of interaction of autistic children in inclusive elementary schools leads to a form of cooperation. Subjects often work on assignments with their study groups, even though the subjects have not been able to express ideas but the subjects can help if their group friends need help. The teacher's teaching strategy in social interaction is to encourage and motivate subjects to interact with their peers. Teachers and parents work together to provide some therapy to help the subject when facing problems. The task of the assistant teacher is to help the subject complete the task according to his ability. The way to teach language and communication to the subject is by always communicating with the subject on various occasions and if speaking, it must be spoken slowly.

Abstract

Artikel  ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kondisi psikologis anak-anak penyandang cacat. Menurut Tamsik Udin dan Tejaningsih, anak penyandang disabilitas adalah anak yang mengalami kendala dalam perkembangan sosial dan emosionalnya, sehingga dikukuhkan melalui perilaku norma hukum, sosial, agama yang berlaku di lingkungannya dengan frekuensi yang cukup tinggi. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek berjumlah 4 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan penyediaan Daftar Periksa Masalah (DCM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak penyandang disabilitas mengalami ketidakstabilan emosional sehingga ada kendala dalam berperilaku baik di masyarakat. Hambatan untuk perkembangan sosial pada anak-anak penyandang disabilitas ditunjukkan oleh kesulitan berteman. Ini karena mereka tidak dapat beradaptasi dengan kelompok yang lebih luas dan kesadaran sosial mereka sangat rendah dan mereka lebih suka bermain sendiri. Pendekatan yang lebih baik diperlukan untuk anak-anak penyandang disabilitas seperti pendekatan dalam bimbingan karena akan sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan di masa depan

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to describe how student’s attitude toward the profession of special education teacher Next, this study also wantsed to know the student’s attitude based on different characteristics, ie, sex, length of study in special education department, the priority of the student’s choice of studied in State University of Jakarta. The population icovered all students in special education Departement of School of Education, State University of Jakarta. The respondents were chosen randomly with total number of 137 students. Questionnaire were distributed to the students as survey method implemented. The result of study indicated that all responding have positive attitude toward the PLB‘s teacher works. In details, the more senior students in Special Education Department, the more positive their attitude toward PLB‘s teacher’s profession. The students who choose this Department as their first choice in State University of Jakarta tend to have more positive attitude towards the profession of special education teacher. Female students‘ attitude is more positive toward the profession of special education teacheris more positive than male student‘s attitude. Then, nonregular students attitude are more positive toward the profession of special education teacher than regular students attitude. Finally, students who are teaching non-special education subjects are more positive towards the profession of special education teacher

Abstract

Cases of sexual harassment and sexual deviations from year to year are increasing. Many factors cause it, including technological sophistication and ease of access, the existence of a family that does not care and a less sensitive educational environment. Parties who are victims of sexual harassment are usually women, especially children who experience intellectual disabilities. Nearly half of them have experienced 10 times the harassment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of snakes and ladders media in improving understanding of sex education and preventing acts of sexual abuse and abuse in children who experience intellectual disabilities. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Research subjects were students who experienced intellectual disabilities at Bekasi Jaya Extraordinary Elementary School. Data analysis was carried out through three main stages, namely reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Snakes and ladders media is a game that uses symbols and images reinforced by verbal communication delivered by the teacher. The results showed that the use of snakes and ladders media effectively helped students who experienced intellectual barriers in understanding the messages contained in sex education content.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate student's learning disability, factors of learning disability and teacher efforts to deal with students who have learning difficulties in elementary school Tangerang Region, Indonesia, and the implications of this study is to get the data regarding student's disability in learning, the factor that caused it, and teacher's efforts in dealing with students who have learning difficulties. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques by an in-depth interview. Interview guides in the form of a group of in-depth questions about learning disabilities. Results showed that there are 19 students who had learning disabilities. Students with learning disabilities in elementary schools found for slow learners, children with special need, and student with malnutrition. the factor that caused students learning disabilities were parents’ gadget influence the lack of parental attention lack of parental knowledge. Furthermore, the efforts made by the teacher so far have been giving more attention to students such as giving extra hours at school, positioning the child to sit in the front position, communicating intensely to the child's development to parents.
