Abstract

This study was aimed at improving the activeness and learning outcomes of 5th grade students of SDN Jetak 03 Getasan District of Semarang Regency with the application of Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) model. This study was applied to 5th graders with 18 students as subject and using spiral model from C. Kemmis & Mc Taggart in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques used was test and non-test techniques. Results show that there was an increase from cycle I and cycle II, in both students’ activeness and student learning outcomes. Therefore, TGT model can be used to increase students’ activeness and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to apply learning model of Group Investigation type in improving the science learning outcomes of 5th grade students of SD Negeri 04 Jambangan. This type of research is a classroom action research using the Spiral Kemmis and Robin Mc Taggart model. This study consisted of 2 cycles, with 3 meetings in each cycle. The subjects of this study were 29 students of SD Negeri 04 Jambangan. The data collection instrument uses both test and non-test techniques. The research instrument is a matter of multiple choice tests, and teacher observation sheet and students’ response. The result of the research shows that students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes are improved after the application of cooperative learning model with Group Investigation. Thus, it can be concluded that the model can improve science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through methods of Student Teams Achievement Divisions. Action Research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The research procedures based on the Kemmis and Mc Tanggart models include planning, action, observation and reflection phases that are adapted to the Student Teams Achievement Divisions.The results obtained from the implementation of cycle I and II, namely an increase learning outcomes after using Student Teams Achievement Divisions. In comparison the initial conditions, the cycle I and II show the initial conditions only 9 students, or 36%, in the first cycle of 16 students or 64% and the second cycle increased to 23 students or 92%. Based on the results concluded that Student Teams Achievement Divisions learning to improve student learning outcomes with indicators of >70%, which indicates success.

Abstract

As a hope for an educator so that children can become children of his protégé. An educator is the most important part of which is inseparable from the process of learning. The results of the learning process depend very much on the role of teacher, teacher/educator designing, executing and evaluating. In order to make the learning process can be run with a maximum of and in accordance with the goal of educators so teachers can use the learning tool, in this case, is the medium of instruction. Lots of media types there are learning at school, of which simple or complicated. But many teachers who are encountering less innovative and creative in terms of learning media, and produced illustrations for designing learning media is very important and necessary by the teacher since by doing development as well as innovate can improve student learning and desire a great fit with the needs of the students. Therefore researchers interested and doing research on quality improvement of learning with innovative learning media. This research aims to develop the creative power of teachers to continue to create media innovative and creative learning.

Abstract

The research objective to acknowledge about meaning of transformation in the management of Baduy tribe learning culture which until now apply customary law of school prohibition. Research using ethnography methodology with some techniques, such as observation, interview, and document review. The data were analyzed by Spradley technique consisting of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis, and cultural theme analysis. The research sources were tribe leaders, village leaders, educators, parents, and students. Based on qualitative data analysis, the result research has concluded that negotiation is needed to change the organizational environment and develop human resources, but customary school restrictions should not be changed. Transformational leaders apply the following learning culture control systems with close management registration, learning or schooling secretly, and educational activities centered on the borders of Ulayat lands. Thus conditions could be accepted by tribe leaders.

Abstract

ABSTRACT             This study aimed at investigating the effect of thematic patterning technique and achievement motivation on students’ writing achievement. The subjects were the second semester students of English Education Department in the academic year 2015/2016. The II B class was assigned as the experimental group and II D class as the control group. The experimental group was taught by using thematic patterning technique and the control group by using conventional technique. The instruments were achievement motivation questionnaire and writing achievement test. The findings showed there was a significant difference in writing achievement between the students taught by using thematic patterning technique and those taught by using conventional technique. The mean score of students taught by using thematic patterning technique was higher than the students taught by using conventional technique; there was interaction between of thematic patterning technique and the achievement motivation in learning English on students’ writing achievement. Keywords: thematic patterning technique, achievement motivation, students’ writing achievement

Abstract

This study aims to improve student's activity in learning chemistry at SMAN XI-MIPA1 semester odd SMAN 2 Singaraja in the school year 2015/2016. This study included a type of classroom action research with a research cycle model adopted from the Kemmis & Taggart model. As the subject of this class action research is all students of class XI-MIPA 1 odd semester SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja AcademicYear 2015/2016. The data was collected through observation and student questionnaires. Analyze data using descriptive-qualitative, ie by describing the average number of students who ask at each cycle. The results showed that giving the task of making inquiries at home can increase students' activity in the classroom. This student activity can be seen from the number of students who ask questions in the class. The number of students who asked at the time of observation before the action was about 16.67%. After the action, the number of students who ask in cycle I is 41.67% while in cycle II is 53.13%. Thus the method of providing home duties in the form of making the questionable to increase the activity of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The development of various diseases of societies such as alcohol, gambling, and promiscuity, a challenge for the world of education, especially religious investigations that play a role in developing the personality of learners who knowledgeable, faithful and devout and noble. Religious education is asked to create a good curriculum is also required to have a clear learning model and measurable again directed. In the learning model, there has been a clear conceptual framework that describes a systematic procedure in organizing learning experiences to achieve the objectives of learning. Thus lecturers and students will more easily recognize and understand and undergo the process of religious learning because it has been prepared in such a way by religious lecturers. The success of applying the model of learning by religious lecturers can be measured the integration between science, faith and taqwa, and noble character in learners themselves so that they become human beings who maintained in ahsanu taqwim. Once the strategic role of religious education, it has become an urgent thing done the development of learning models of religious education in public colleges.

Abstract

Media is a tool needed in learning activities that aim to help learners more easily understand the subject matter. This study aims to find out how important media interactive CD-based character in the course Development of Learners. This research uses the descriptive method with the instrument in the form of a questionnaire given to students who follow the recovery of the students' progress. Based on the results of the study 81.25% of respondents stated that they have never seen a character-based interactive CD media in the course of the development of learners. They suggested that the making of character-based interactive CD because with the media is expected subject matter more easily understood. So far, the media are still in the form of power points and textbooks so that learning activities are less interesting. From the results of this study suggested to the lecturers in order to create a more interactive media such as character-based interactive CD for the course of the development of learners.
