Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes between students taught by cooperative learning model type TGT with students taught by STAD type cooperative learning model in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali, as well as to compare the average of learning outcomes of students who were taught by the model of learning cooperative type TGT with students who are taught by STAD type cooperative learning model in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali on square flat matter. This type of research is a quantitative research using comparative analysis. This research is a study of population consisting of all students of class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali academic year 2016/2017. The sample is obtained by taking two classes, namely class VII-2 which will be given teaching method of TGT and VII-3 which will be given STAD teaching method which each class is 21 students. Analyze the difference of learning result using t-test (t-test seperated variance), while the mean comparison of learning result using t-test polled variance. These findings show: 1). The value of t arithmetic for the first hypothesis test = 5.696 with t table at 5% significance level = 1.684. 2). The value of t arithmetic for the second hypothesis test = 6.292 with t table at 5% significance level = 1.684. 3). The conclusion of this study explains that there are differences in student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model type TGT with students taught by STAD type cooperative learning model, and the average of student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model TGT type is greater than the average. average learning outcomes of students who were taught by STAD type cooperative learning model on square flat matter in class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali

Abstract

The type of research used is Classroom Action Research using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This classroom action research is conducted through 2 cycles that include planning, implementation, observation and reflection activities. And to know the ability of understanding students' mathematical concepts Researchers use the comprehension test of the concept of mathematics individually. Subjects in this study were students of grade VIII-1 MTs. Al-Ilhamiyah Sidomulyo with a total of 31 students. The result of the research shows that before the giving of action only 3 students from 31 students complete in comprehension test of mathematics concept with percentage of 9.68%. After giving the action in cycle I, the students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased by 48.39% percentage, or as many as 15 students from 31 students have completed in the comprehension ability test of mathematical concepts. After the improvement of cycle I to cycle II, the result of the ability to understand the concept of mathematics students cycle II has reached the classical completeness with the percentage of 87.10% or as many as 27 students have been completed in the ability to comprehend the concept of mathematics test. From the result of this class action research, the researcher concludes that there is improvement of students' mathematical concept comprehension ability by applying Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to the students of grade VIII-1 MTs. Al-Ilhamiyah Sidomulyo.

Abstract

This research aims to know different learning outcomes student’s thatlearned using cooperative model type Group Investigation (GI) and typeTwo Stay – Two Stray (TSTS) in rectangular and square subject at VIIClass SMP IT Al-Hijrah Deli Serdang T.A. 2015/2016. This isquantitative research type quasi experiment research. The populationare all students at VII class of SMP IT Al-Hijrah Deli Serdang T.A.2015/2016 that totaled 42 students. The sample in this research are 21students of VII-A class and 21 students of VII-B class. The method ofdata analysis is used Analysis Varian (ANAVA). The result is: 1) thelearning outcomes student’s that learned using cooperative learningtype TSTS is better than learning outcomes student’s that learned usingcooperative learning type GI in rectangular and square subject. 2) thelearning outcomes student’s with high ability that learned usingcooperative learning type TSTS is better than learning outcomesstudent’s that learned using cooperative learning type GI in rectangularand square subject. 3) the learning outcomes student’s with low abilitythat learned using cooperative learning type TSTS is better thanlearning outcomes student’s that learned using cooperative learningtype GI in rectangular and square subject. 4) There is no significantinteraction between learning strategy and student’s ability to learningoutcomes student’s in rectangular and square subject. The conclusion ofthis research is explain that high ability student’s and low abilitystudent’s more suitable if learned using cooperative learning modelwith type Two Stay Two Stray (TST) in rectangular and square subjectat VII class SMP IT Al – Hijrah Deli Serdang.

Self-Efficacy is a positive attitude that an individual can make himself able to develop a positive assessment both to themselves and to the environment / situation. According to Bandura's social cognitive theory, self-efficacy beliefs influence people's choices in making and carrying out the actions they are pursuing. Abstract

This research aim to know: (1) do applying of tutor sebaya method can push student to learn more active, ( 2) do study with tutor sebaya method  can improve result learn, ( 3) how perception of student about study with tutor sebaya method. This research represent research of class action. This research subject class  XII TKJ-A SMK Namira Tech Nusantara about 31students. Passed to treatment subject in this research is to improve result learn student pass applying of tutor sebaya method in study. Of data analysis indicate that study by applying tutor sebaya method can be seen from result learn student which mounting and result of observation staying in good category. Percentage of complete level learning student by clasical experience about 19,35% and this means that integral lesson pass tutor sebaya method can improve result of learning student.

Abstract

The research was grounded by the results of previous research which showed that students’ mathematical representation ability is not as expected. One of learning strategy for enhancing  mathematical representation thinking ability is formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC). This study examines the enhancement of students’ mathematical representation ability through the application of  FSLC learning strategy. Through a quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design involved 41 eight-grade students from a Islamic junior high school  in Way Jepara. Instrument of the study consist a set of mathematical representation ability test, and observation. Data are analyzed by using t-test. The result obtained is the enhancement of students’ mathematical representation ability who were taught under FSLC learning strategy is better than those who were taught under conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increased activity of learningmathematics and communication skills of students by implementingcontextual learning strategy on material geometry flat side. Resultsobservation student activity is still relatively low, the percentage ofstudents who take the activity of learning activities by 45%. The testresults obtained by students' communication skills math average valueof 21.56 and classical completeness 34%. After applying contextuallearning strategies acquired percentage of student activity by 58% andmathematical communication skills of students in the first cycle obtainthe percentage of classical completeness 51% and the average value of24.49. In the second cycle, the percentage of student activity wasobtained at 78% and mathematical communication skills studentsacquired classical completeness of 88%. It can be concluded that thereis increased activity of learning mathematics and communication skillsof students by implementing contextual learning strategies.

Abstract

The ability of students' mathematical communication is an aspect that needs to be developed in the learning of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the mathematical communication ability of class VII students in learning mathematics. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of this research is 6 students of class VII-AMTs Islamiyah Medan who come from high-ability students, medium-skilled students, and low-ability students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. To know how far students' mathematical communication ability is measured based on indicator of mathematical communication ability ie (1) Ability to express mathematical ideas through oral, written, and demonstrate and visualize it; (2) The ability to understand, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas in writing, as well as in other visual forms; (3) The ability to use terms, mathematical notations and structures to present ideas, describe relationships with situational models. The results showed (1) subjects with high ability to have good enough mathematical communication ability on each indicator both indicator 1, 2 and 3; (2) medium-sized subjects also have good mathematical communication skills in indicators 1 and 2 and less well in indicator 3; (3) low-ability subjects have poor mathematical communication skills on each indicator.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to examine whether, 1) the studentsare able to master in English, and 2) is there correlation betweencooperative learning strategy in teaching English or not. The populationof this research is the second semester year student of IslamicEducation Programme of Dharmawangsa University Medan. In gettingthe data, the writer used test and interview, but in analyzing the data, heused the Product Moment Correlation formula. Then the value that isgotten that is 1.488. And the value is confirmed to distribution t table.Where the value of t distribution in N = 57 and real a = 0,05 is 1.671,because of the tcounted (1.488) is lower than distribution value of ttable(1.671), it can be told that there is no significant correlation between theImplementating Of Cooperative Learning Strategy in Teaching Englishat the second semester year student of Islamic Education Programme ofDharmawangsa University Medan.Based on the counted the students’score that there are no difficulties in studying english, because thestudents who had taken as sample in this research not only understandEnglish well, but also getting high score in English. Eventhough eachother has no correlation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the inprovement of student’s communication ability as an impact of problem based learnin, asd to find the interaction between the instructional approach and gender with improvement of student’s communication ability. This research wasa quasy experiment with the sample of research was 70 students, consisted of X-IPA2 with 35 students asan experiment class and X-IPA4 with 35 students as a control class. The data which collected in this research were communication ability. The instruments which used to collect the data were a test of communication ability. The data were analyzed by using two way anava in the SPSS program. Based on the result of this research, it could be concluded that the improvement student’s communication ability by using problem based learning better than improvemet student’s communication ability by using a usuall learning. There was not an interaction between the instructional approach and gender with improvement student’s communication ability
