Al-Irsyad: The Counseling and Education Journal is scientific journal in education and counseling guidance that managed by The Bimbingan Konseling Islam Majors of Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Faculty of UIN Sumatera Utara Medan. Al-Irsyad presents topics about development of counseling guidance profession as a teacher based on the four competence of a teacher. They are pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. Besides that, Al-Irsyad is also emphasize to the integration of islamic values. Al-Irsyad is published two times in a year. There are January-June edition and July-December edition. The first edition of Al-Irsyad was Vol.1, No.1, January-June Edition on 2012, but was not yet have p-ISSN and e-ISSN. Then, in Vol.5, No. 1, January-June Edition on 2015 was published in print with p-ISSN: 2088-8341. Further, Vol. 10, No.1, January-June 2020 Edition on 2020 edition publish OJS with e-ISSN: 2686-2859.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the BK teacher in overcoming drug addiction (narcotics) in SMP Negeri 1 Pantai Labu students. The research method uses qualitative. Data collected by interview, documentation, and observation. The results showed that: 1) The Principal of Labu Pantai 1 Junior High School had to provide complete facilities to BK teachers so that the implementation of guidance and counseling was more maximal and effective. 2) To BK teachers to be more professional in helping solve students' problems and collaborate with other teachers and invite anti-drug counseling agencies to come to school to better master and pay attention to student development so that the implementation of guidance and counseling is more effective.Keywords: BK teacher, addiction, illegal drugs.

Abstract

Character is one of the goals of education today. One character that needs to be instilled in high school students is social character. Therefore, this study aims to find out: 1) Social character phenomena that occur in students at Al-Hidayah Medan High School. 2) PAI teacher activities planning Islamic Religious Learning in the inculcation of social character values in students at Al-Hidayah Medan High School. 3) Islamic religious learning in instilling the values of social character in students at Al-Hidayah Medan High School. 4) Evaluation of Islamic Religious Learning in instilling the values of social character in students in Al-Hidayah Medan High School. The research method uses qualitative research, namely research conducted naturally by utilizing researchers as research instruments. The subjects of this study were PAI teachers, school principals, and Al-Hidayah Medan High School students. Data retrieved through observation, documentation, and interviews. Data are analyzed based on data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawing. The results of this research can be concluded as follows: 1) The phenomenon of social character displayed by students at Al-Hidayah Medan High School is mutual cooperation, respect, mutual reminding, mutual appreciation, helping each other in distress. 2) PAI learning planning conducted by PAI teachers in PAI learning in instilling the values of social character in Al-Hidayah Medan High School is to prepare RPP at the beginning of the semester taking into account compilation standards, core competencies, vision and mission and school goals as well as students' needs, here students, and activities that are close to the daily lives of students. PAI teachers prepare lesson plans at the beginning of the semester and are reported at teacher meetings to get input from peers and school principals. 3) Constraints experienced by PAI teachers in developing lesson plans are habitual factors. The teacher does not really understand how to match the demands of compilation standards and core competencies with the needs of students and make them using appropriate learning methods and learning media. 4) The learning process of PAI in instilling the values of social character of students in Al-Hidayah Medan High School is carried out with exemplary learning methods, role playing, giving examples, lectures, discussions, and observations. The learning method used is interesting to be followed by students, and students can be enthusiastic in following the learning process carried out. 5) Evaluation of learning towards learning that takes place at Al-Hidayah Medan High School is carried out with daily tests, giving homework, midterm, and final exam. In practice, students get high scores above the minimum completeness criteria value of 85.Keywords: PAI learning, social character

Abstract

Abstract. Group counseling with an approach focused on self-existence or better known as existentialism helps individuals to get back to their functions, meanings and awareness. This approach is based on the philosophy of existentialism not only on a substantial basis but also in various therapeutic processes. The existentialism approach seeks to understand the nature and essence of human beings as individuals in the world. On the other hand humanism elevates personal values, dignity and individual dignity and occupies a central position in daily life. Human Immuno Deficiency Virus is a virus that is capable of disrupting the human body's immune system and resulting in the onset of AIDS. The meaningfulness of life sought after experienced by each individual will experience a process that is not the same because there is a uniqueness in each individual, one of whom is a person with HIV-AIDS. This article examines the concept of self-existence based on a humanistic existential approach and focuses on the individual person in increasing the meaningfulness of Life of People with HIV AIDS.Keywords: group counseling, existential approach, meaning of life, people with HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemasaran relasional terhadapkepuasan pelanggan dalam kaitannya dengan penurunan jumlah nasabah dan penerimaanpremi asuransi kenderaan AIG Insurance Cabang Medan. Pemasaran relasional yangditeliti mencakup variabel komitmen, empati, timbal balik dan kepercayaan. Teknikpengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, kuesioner, dan observasi. Modelanalisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan pengujianhipotesis dilakukan secara simultan dan parsial dengan bantuan software IBM SPSSStatistics 22. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh nasabah asuransi kenderaan AIGInsurance Cabang Medan yang berjumlah 252 orang dengan jumlah sampel penelitiansebanyak 155 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel bebas yang terdiridari komitmen, empati, timbal balik dan kepercayaan secara serempak berpengaruhsignifikan terhadap variabel terikat kepuasan pelanggan sebesar 31,3 persen dan sisanya68,7 persen dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar objek penelitian ini. Secara parsial,penelitian menghasilkan bahwa variabel empati dan timbal balik berpengaruh signifikanterhadap kepuasan pelanggan AIG Insurance Cabang Medan. Pendekatan afektif dankognitif dapat menjadi alternatif perbaikan variabel empati dan konsep determinismedapat menjadi alternatif perbaikan variabel timbal balik dalam kaitannya terhadappeningkatan jumlah nasabah dan penerimaan premi asuransi kenderaan AIG InsuranceCabang Medan kedepannya.Kata kunci: pemasaran relasional, komitmen, empati, timbal balik, kepercayaan

Abstract

Abstract: Konseling kelompok merupakan salah satu layanan konseling yang bermanfaat dan strategis dalam membantu anak-anak yang menghadapi masalah pribadi dengan menggunakan kontribusi pemikiran kelompok untuk mengatasi masalah pribadi. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui layanan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan REBT dalam peningkatan kepercayaan diri pada anak korban kekerasan. Konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan REBT dapat meningkatkan rasa kepercayaan diri anak korban kekerasan dalam berinteraksi sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan layanan konseling kelompok terhadap anak sehingga diharapkan guru pembimbing melakukan penanganan bersifat segera jika menemukan siswa yang menjadi korban kekerasan agar aktivitas serta interaksi sosial para siswa tidak terganggu. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan adalah konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan REBT.  Keywords: Counseling kelompok, REBT, Kepercayaan Diri, Korban Kekerasan.

Abstract

The ability to build rapport is one of the development tasks that must be endured by the teenagers. This ability is influenced by various factors among which are the factors of self-concept and family factors particularly parental involvement with their children various occasions. This correlation descriptive research also applied quantitative method. The population of this research were students in grade VII and VIII of SMP Negeri 29 Padang. Sample using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments of this research were the Likert scale model. The data obtained were analyzed by using hipotetic mean, simple linier regression, and multiple linier regression. The research finding were: (1) self-concept in average were at high category, (2) parental involvement in average were at high category, (3) the ability to building rapport with peers were at high category, (4) the ability to building rapport with peers explained by the self-concept, (5) the ability to building rapport with peers explained by the parental involvement, and (6) the ability to building rapport with peers explained by the self-concept and parental involvement. The implication of this research may useful to design a guidance and counseling program, especially for personal and social field.Keywords: Self-Concept, Parental Involvement, Rapport

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about How to Understand the Principle of Confidentiality of BK Teachers, How to Implement the Principle of Confidentiality in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan, What Factors Support and Inhibit Implementation of the Principle of Confidentiality in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan. This research uses qualitative research design with case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews, and documents. Data analysis using Milles and Huberman data analysis model are: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. And check the validity of data in this study using the criteria of creadibility confidence that is: Longer attachment, diligence observations in research, and triangulation testing. The findings show that: (1) An understanding of the principle of secrecy of BK Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan teachers, including: (a) Maintaining trust and maintaining confidentiality. (b) Commit to ensuring the confidentiality of all the problems faced by the students. (2) Application of the principle of confidentiality in Madrasat Madanatussalam Sei Rotan Madrasah, it can be seen that the application of the principle of confidentiality in madrasas includes: (a) Asking for willingness, (b) Providing direction, (c) Making approaches, (d) Making agreements, (e) Motivating, (f) Providing solutions. (3) Factors that support the application of secrecy principles in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan, including cooperation between the teachers and students, make arrangements, secret custody. While the inhibiting factors of application of the principle of secrecy include: (a) Lack of infrastructure supporting the activities of BK.Keywords: Secrecy Principle

Abstract

Verbal communication is communication by using vebal symbols. Language verbal symbol is an impressive of human achieveness. There are rules for every language that are phonology, syntax, semanctc and pragmatic. Otherwise, nonverbal communication is a communication process that message is sent not using words. The example of nonverbal communication is body movement, body language, face expression, and eye contact, the using of clothes, hair cut, etc, symbols, and also the way of speaking such as, intonation, stress, voice quality, emotional style, and speaking style.Keywords: Komunikasi, Verbal, Nonverbal.
