Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the RADEC learning model in building critical thinking skills. This study is in the background by the need for a learning model that fits the Indonesian context to build critical thinking skills that can be used at the elementary school level. This study uses the literature review. This study produces one solution to be able to build critical thinking skills is to use the RADEC learning model (read-answer-discuss-explain and create). The approach in learning that is done by the teacher plays a role in fostering critical thinking skills. The teacher needs to use a learning model that can stimulate students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Vocational education has an important role in the effort to create a workforce that has competencies that are in accordance with the needs of the industrial world. But the open unemployment rate in Indonesia in February 2018 was 6.87 million people and 8.92% of them were graduates of VHS. Why does that much unemployment happen? Is the learning process at VHS not yet qualified, so that the quality of VHS graduates is still low? Can the teaching factory improve the quality of VHS graduates? To answer this question, research needs to be done. This research was conducted using literature studies on related references, and a number of research reports on teaching factories conducted at VHS and continued with FGD. The results of the study concluded that the teaching factory consisted of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The teaching factory developed was integrated with the production unit that was used for the practice of students, so that VHS graduates became qualified and ready to enter the workforce.

Abstract

The paper aimed to investigate the perception and awareness of tribal parents towards the education of their children’s in different tribal areas of district Anantnag. To achieve the objectives eight research questions were asked from respondents and the focus of the questions was existing perception, awareness and obstacles in path of education among tribal parents. Sample comprised of 200 tribal parents. The findings of the study disclosed that generally, tribal parents had soft corner for their daughter’s education. They are aware of significance of daughter’s education, but in some cases the education of girls were affected by migration and negligence of girls from co-education. The important thing in all scenarios is that people in tribal area of Anantnag district want to educate their daughters. The major problem for majority of them is the absence of schools or basic infrastructure within existing schools of the area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of groups counseling cognitive behavior therapy approach with stress inoculation training techniques on tests stress experienced by students. This type of research is quantitative research with a true experimental design, research method with a pretest posttest control design. The sample in the study was 18 students of class VIII SMP N 4 Semarang who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool used is stress scale. Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test results obtained t count = 3.78. Then consulted with t table with a significance level of 5% which is 2.120 it shows that t count = 3.78 > t table = 2.120.

Abstract

Research purpose is for reveal the effectivity of relaxation with meditation technique for helping releasing a student’s stress before national examination. Quantitative analysis was using in this research with pre-experiment through one group pretest-posttest design with twelve respondent that has been indentified a stress condition through instrumentation with likert scale. Data analyse with wilcoxon and descriptive. The result was found that there was a significant difference about the level of student’s stress before a national examination and after has given an intervention such a relaxation with meditation technique with asympthotic significant two tailed 0.000. This research can be conclude that relaxation with meditation technique can reduce student’s condition of stress to face a national exam.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the social and emotional learning (SEL) competency requirement of senior high school (SMA) students. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive data analysis and requirement questionnaire analysis. The subjects of this research were 192 of 10th grade senior high school students. The results of this research showed the development of social and emotional learning (SEL) competency was needed for 10th grade senior high school (SMA) students. Social and emotional learning (SEL) competency was reflected in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. The requirement important substantiation for developing social and emotional learning (SEL) competency for senior high school (SMA) students are based on the requirement analysis result were obtained 80% for self-awareness, 69% for self-management, 73.5% for social awareness, 66% for relationship skills, and 82.5% for responsibility decision-making.

Abstract

Final writing or thesis is indeed a burden that can cause stress for students. Various problems, difficulties and challenges they must face. For this reason, they should have the right coping strategies to deal with and overcome any problems that cause stress in their final writing.This study aimed to identify or investigate how guidance and counseling students are able to cope with their problems and life’s situation when they are doing their final writing or thesis. A descriptive method with Coping Responses Inventory-Adult Form (CRI-Adult) was used. Results revealed that the students capitalized on different coping strategies when they deal with the problems that came up when they are doing their final writing. In general, it could be noted that all respondents utilized problem focused coping (PFC) and emotion focused coping (EFC) in the level of average until well above average.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the role of teacher attitudes in the dimensions of cognitive, affective, conative towards the efficacy of teachers in inclusive education at the Jakarta Public Elementary School. This study uses quantitative methods with survey approaches and multiple regression techniques, three predictors. The respondents in this study amounted to 143 teachers who taught in Public Elementary Schools in Jakarta who implemented inclusive education, data collection techniques using incidental sampling. The results obtained in this study are teacher attitudes in cognitive, affective and conative dimensions which play a role in teacher efficacy. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran sikap guru dalam dimensi kognitif, afektif, konatif terhadap efikasi guru dalam pendidikan inklusi di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei dan teknik regresi ganda tiga prediktor. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 143 guru yang mengajar di Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Jakarta yang mengimplementasi pendidikan inklusi, teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan insidental sampling. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah sikap guru dalam dimensi kognitif, afektif dan konatif berperan terhadap efikasi guru.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness of lecture with nuances of guidance services using Contextual Teaching Learning and Ignatian Pedagogy Paradigm in Group Dynamics Course to increase self-respect and others attitudes of students. The research subjects are 36 students participating in the Group Dynamics Course. This research method is a pre-design one-group pre-test-posttest design. The research instrument used the Scale of Self-Respect and Others Attitudes totaling 25 items with a reliability value of 0.936. This study uses descriptive data analysis techniques with categorization, and t-paired sampel test. The results showed that 27.78% of students had self-respect and others in the very high category before accepting lectures increased to 55.56% after receiving lectures. In the high category, 47.22% of students are required after attending college from 58.33% before receiving college. In the category there was a decline, namely before college there were 19.44% of students became absent (0%) after attending college. The conclusion of the results of this study is that lectures with the nuances of guidance services using CTL and IPP in the Group Dynamics Course effectively increase the self-respect and and other attitudes based on the t-paired sampel test with a significance value Sig. (2-tailed) (0.001) <(0.05).

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the effect of character education on entrepreneurship readiness of Vocational High School students. research needs to be held. This research was conducted through a literature review of references and relevant research results, and continued through focus group discussion (FGD). The research found: (1) there is an influence of character education on the level of entrepreneurial readiness of vocational students; (2) character education values that influence entrepreneurial readiness, are creative, independent, honest, cooperative, curiosity, disciplined, courageous to take risks, strong motivation for success, communicative, realistic, commitment, never give up, oriented to action, leadership, and innovation; (3)Vocational students must obtain character education in accordance with the character possessed by an entrepreneur. Because in character education includes discipline, honesty, cooperation, curiosity, creativity and independence, almost all must also be owned by an entrepreneur; (4) The relationship between vocational students who already have character education will grow a mentality for entrepreneurship; andEntrepreneurial readiness is influenced by four dimensions of entrepreneurial readiness, namely intention, ability, learning and attraction; and (5)In order for entrepreneurial readiness to be realized optimally, there must be support from the government, changes in various theories that lead to improvement, and open to various developing innovations.
