Abstract

Final writing or thesis is indeed a burden that can cause stress for students. Various problems, difficulties and challenges they must face. For this reason, they should have the right coping strategies to deal with and overcome any problems that cause stress in their final writing.This study aimed to identify or investigate how guidance and counseling students are able to cope with their problems and life’s situation when they are doing their final writing or thesis. A descriptive method with Coping Responses Inventory-Adult Form (CRI-Adult) was used. Results revealed that the students capitalized on different coping strategies when they deal with the problems that came up when they are doing their final writing. In general, it could be noted that all respondents utilized problem focused coping (PFC) and emotion focused coping (EFC) in the level of average until well above average.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil perilaku religius siswa dan implikasinya terhadap program bimbingan kehidupan beragama. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 23 siswa kelas XII IIS 2 SMA Negeri 2 Tasifeto Barat Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Alat pengumpulan data berupa angket perilaku religius. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kecenderungan pusat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil perilaku religius siswa berada pada skor rata-rata 172,32 (kategori baik). Sementara hasil analisis setiap aspek menunjukkan bahwa aspek keyakinan berada pada skor rata-rata 36 (kategori baik), aspek peribadatan atau praktek agama berada pada skor rata-rata 33,30 (kategori baik), aspek feeling atau penghayatan berada pada skor rata-rata 31,73 (kategori baik), aspek pengetahuan agama berada pada skor rata-rata 30,217 (kategori sangat baik), dan aspek effect atau pengamalan berada pada skor rata-rata 41,108 (kategori baik). Upaya untuk meningkatkan perilaku religius siswa tetap diberikan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah yakni melalui pemberian layanan bimbingan dan konseling dalam bidang mental dan spiritual melalui bimbingan kehidupan beragama.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of applying the behavioral contract technique through group guidance to reduce online game addiction among students. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were six students in class XI IPS 2 at St. Carolus Catholic High School. The instruments used in this study were an online game addiction questionnaire and behavioral contract intervention guidelines. Data analysis was performed using a paired samples t-test. The results of the analysis showed that the t-value was 13.727, while the t-table value at the 5% significance level was 2.776. Thus, t-value was greater than the t-table, indicating that the behavioral contract technique through group guidance was effective in reducing online game addiction in class XI IPS 2 students at St. Carolus Catholic High School in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Etika pergaulan merupakan prinsip dan norma penting yang mengatur interaksi sosial antara individu dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang etika pergaulan siswa kelas XII TKRO (B) SMK Katolik St. Yosef Nenuk Atambua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan angket etika pergaulan untuk mengumpulkan data, dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kecenderungan pusat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa skor rata-rata etika pergaulan siswa adalah 147,32. Skor tersebut berada dalam rentang 147-180, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis untuk setiap aspek adalah: aspek respek memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 60, yang berada dalam rentang 51-60 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik; aspek empati memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 50, yang berada dalam rentang 39-50 dan termasuk dalam kategori baik; sedangkan aspek kejujuran memiliki skor rata-rata sebesar 46, yang berada dalam rentang 39-50 dan termasuk dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian tentang gambaran etika pergaulan siswa kelas XII TKRO (B) di SMK Katolik St. Yosef Nenuk Atambua, diperoleh bahwa ketiga aspek etika pergaulan siswa (respek, empati, dan kejujuran) berada dalam kategori sangat baik atau baik. Dengan demikian, diharapkan guru bimbingan dan konseling terus memberikan program layanan bimbingan sosial kepada para siswa agar mereka tetap mempertahankan dan bahkan meningkatkan etika pergaulan di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of perceptions about assignments and work motivation on the performance of Guidance and Counseling teachers. This research was conducted on all Guidance and Counseling teachers who served in Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools who became the Guidance and Counseling apprenticeship partner schools of the Guidance and Counseling Department at Education Faculty of Catholic University of Widya Mandira Kupaang, totaling 30 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire using a Likert scale model with correlation and regression data analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the perception variable about assignments on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers, there was a significant influence of the work motivation variable on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers, and there was a significant influence of the perception of the task and work motivation on the performance of the Guidance and Counseling teachers.

Abstract

The need to ground guidance and counseling theory following the character of Indonesia, where strong cultural values in everyday life characterize the people, needs to be addressed positively in developing strategies for guidance and counseling services for school students. This research aims to validate the group guidance model using a hybrid mode using the Ngudi Kasampurnan value-based cognitive reconstruction technique, developed to provide group guidance services to high school students. This research uses the ADDIE model development research type to validate the model developed. The instrument used was expert validation with Aiken's V analysis method as interrater agreement. Model validation was carried out on eight experts, including 3 group guidance experts, three cognitive technique experts, and two cultural experts who have a qualified understanding of Sunan Kalijaga's teachings. The validation results from group guidance experts concluded that the model developed was very feasible for testing. Furthermore, cognitive technique experts in guidance and counseling services also provided the same assessment with a few notes on the possibility of cognitive disputes, which might be biased if done online. Cultural experts also evaluate that the values of ngudi kasampurnan that have been explored also fulfill and represent the overall values taught by Sunan Kalijaga. In general, the validator states that the model that has been developed meets the requirements for limited testing. Furthermore, it is necessary to create a wider use of local Indonesian wisdom so that Indonesian guidance and counseling services become more characterized.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is tarnished by the many cases of sexual violence experienced by students from elementary school to college. Based on the results of initial observations, students showed attitudes or actions of sexual violence in dormitories and at school. Examples of sexual violence that occurred were verbal and nonverbal. Verbal sexual violence such as calling with rude names or dirty words. This study aims to determine the effect of information services on increasing the understanding of sexual violence of Class XII students of UPTD SMA Negeri Keberbakatan Olahraga Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The method used in this study was a quantitative one-group pretest-posttest experiment. The results showed that the t-count value was 46.483 and the sig. value was 0.000 0.005. while the t-table value was at the 5% level with df = 2.073. Thus, the t-count value t-table. This shows that the provision of information services has an effect on increasing the understanding of sexual violence among class XII students of the UPTD SMA Negeri Keberbakatan Olahraga Kota Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year.ABSTRAKPendidikan di Indonesia tercoreng dengan banyaknya kasus kekerasan seksual yang dialami oleh peserta didik dari tingkat sekolah dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, peserta didik menunjukan sikap atau tindakan kekerasan seksual di asrama dan di sekolah. Contoh kekerasan seksual yang terjadi berupa verbal dan nonverbal. Kekerasan seksual verbal seperti memanggil dengan sebutan kasar atau kata-kata kotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan informasi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman kekerasan seksual peserta didik Kelas XII UPTD SMA Negeri Keberbakatan Olahraga Kota Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif eksperimen one-group pretetst-posstets. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 46,483 dan nilai sig. 0,000 0,005. sedangkan nilai ttabel pada taraf 5% dengan df = 2,073. Dengan demikian nilai thitung ttabel. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian layanan informasi berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan pemahaman kekerasan seksual peserta didik kelas XII UPTD SMA Negeri Keberbakatan Olahraga Kota Kupang tahun pelajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the character values contained in the Po'o ritual ceremony of the indigenous people of Kebirangga Tengah Village, Ende. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The character values in the Po'o ritual ceremony are applied in character education through the Integration of character values in the curriculum, Use of learning methods that facilitate cooperation and reflection, Development of extracurricular activities that facilitate cooperation and reflection. The subjects of the study were indigenous parents in Kebirangga Tengah Village. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and verification with interview and observation triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the Po'o ritual ceremony has meaning or character values, namely religious values, togetherness, unity, mutual cooperation, and deliberation. The values of the Po'o ritual ceremony can build a deep understanding of identity, norms, and morals for their lives and these character values can be a source of character education for the indigenous people of Kebirangga Tengah Village. This study is limited to the perspective of indigenous communication and has not implemented its application in the formal education curriculum. Further studies are needed to integrate these values into the education system.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam upacara ritual Po’o masyarakat adat desa Kebirangga Tengah, Ende. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Nilai karakter dalam upacara ritual Po'o diterapkan dalam pendidikan karakter melalui Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter dalam kurikulum, Penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi kerjasama dan refleksi, Pengembangan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang memfasilitasi kerjasama dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah para tua adat di Desa Kebirangga Tengah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi dengan triangulasi wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upacara ritual Po’o memiliki makna atau nilai-nilai karakter yaitu nilai religius, kebersamaan, persatuan, gotong royong, dan musyawarah. nilai-nilai upacara ritual po’o dapat membangun pemahaman mendalam tentang identitas, norma, dan moral untuk kehidupannya serta nilai-nilai karakter ini dapat menjadi sumber pendidikan karakter bagai masyarakat adat desa kebirangga tengah.  Penelitian ini terbatas pada perspektif komunikasi adat dan belum mengkaji penerapannya dalam kurukulum pendidikan formal. Studi lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengintegritaskan nilai-nilai ini ke dalam sistem pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of peer conformity on cheating behavior among seventh-grade students at State Junior High School 10 Kupang during the 2023/2024 academic year. The study involved a sample of 81 students from classes VII A to VII K. A quantitative approach was employed, using questionnaires on peer conformity and cheating behavior as data collection instruments. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS for Windows version 26. The findings revealed that the calculated t-value (2.094) exceeded the critical t-value (1.990), with a significance level of 0.039, which is below the 0.05 threshold. This indicates that peer conformity has a significant effect on cheating behavior, Based on these results, it is recommended that school principals design programs to reduce cheating behavior, that guidance and counseling teachers provide services to address peer pressure, and that future researchers examine the effect of conformity in various social situations at schoolABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya terhadap perilaku menyontek di kalangan siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 10 Kupang pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini melibatkan sampel sebanyak 81 siswa dari kelas VII A hingga VII K. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan, dengan menggunakan kuesioner tentang konformitas teman sebaya dan perilaku menyontek sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS for Windows versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t hitung (2,094) melebihi nilai t kritis (1,990), dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,039, yang berada di bawah ambang batas 0,05. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa konformitas teman sebaya memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perilaku menyontek. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan agar kepala sekolah merancang program untuk mengurangi perilaku menyontek, guru bimbingan dan konseling memberikan layanan untuk mengatasi tekanan teman sebaya, serta peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengkaji pengaruh konformitas dalam berbagai situasi sosial di sekolah.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) play a crucial role in equipping youth to enter the job market. According to Article 15 of the National Education System Law (UUSPN) No. 20 of 2003, vocational education is a secondary-level program designed to provide students with specific skills to prepare them for employment. This mandate is further reinforced by the Ministry of National Education Regulation No. 22 of 2006, Article 3, which outlines the standards and structure of the vocational curriculum. The regulation states that vocational education is intended to enhance students’ intellectual abilities, knowledge, character, moral values, and practical skills, empowering them to be self-reliant and pursue higher education in their chosen fields. This research investigates the link between self-efficacy and job readiness among 11th-grade students at the Computer Science Vocational High School in Kupang. Using a quantitative approach with Pearson correlation analysis, the study found a significant correlation between self-efficacy and job readiness (r = 0.672, p 0.01), highlighting that self-efficacy is a key contributor to the job readiness of vocational students.ABSTRAKSekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memainkan peran penting dalam membekali generasi muda untuk memasuki pasar kerja. Menurut Pasal 15 Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional (UUSPN) No. 20 Tahun 2003, pendidikan kejuruan adalah program pendidikan menengah yang dirancang untuk memberikan keterampilan khusus kepada siswa untuk mempersiapkan mereka memasuki lapangan kerja. Mandat ini lebih lanjut diperkuat oleh Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No. 22 Tahun 2006, Pasal 3, yang menguraikan standar dan struktur kurikulum SMK. Peraturan tersebut menyatakan bahwa pendidikan kejuruan dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual, pengetahuan, karakter, nilai-nilai moral, dan keterampilan praktis siswa, memberdayakan mereka untuk mandiri dan melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi di bidang yang mereka pilih. Penelitian ini menyelidiki hubungan antara Self-efficacy dan kesiapan kerja di antara siswa kelas 11 di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Ilmu Komputer di Kupang. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi Pearson, penelitian ini menemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara Self-efficacy dan kesiapan kerja (r = 0,672, p 0,01), yang menyoroti bahwa Self-efficacy merupakan kontributor utama terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK.
