Abstract

Hydrogen is an alternative energy that has a very abundant amount in nature, three-fourths of all elements in nature are hydrogen. Abundance can be developed because it can be converted into electrical energy and is expected to be able to replace fossil materials that are increasingly depleting in the future. For the management of hydrogen, a very safe storage is needed. One of the efforts by inserting hydrogen in certain metals. Magnesium is one material that is able to absorb hydrogen. But it has a disadvantage, namely the absorption and release time is very slow, this is due to the strong bond between hydrogen and magnesium. Several attempts have been intensively studied to improve the properties of Magnesium including the use of materials in the form of nanocrystals with Mechanical alloying techniques and efforts to add certain catalysts are now being actively studied. Research on the addition of Hematite (Fe2O3) catalysts to hydrogen storage materials has been carried out through Mechanical alloying techniques based on MgH2-Fe2O3. Hematite purely derived from nature has been successfully extracted chemically (precipitation method). The milled MgH2-Fe2O3 alloy samples were then analyzed by XRD and showed that the MgH2-Fe2O3 material was successfully reduced to the nanocrystal scale. The addition of catalysts and extended milling time also showed a decrease in desorption temperature.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of water pollution, the factors causing water pollutionand to know how to minimize the level of water pollution wells in Gampong Beurawe Kuta AlamDistrict Banda Aceh. Water quality analysis in this research was conducted by comparing parametersmeasured with water quality standard parameters in accordance with the provisions of Minister ofHealth Regulation No. 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010 on the Terms of Water Quality. The sample ofthis research is well water taken in 5 hamlets (A, B, C, D and E) in Gampong Beurawe Kuta AlamSub-district for 5 samples (each 1 sample for each hamlet). The results of measurements on 5 samplesshowed that the well water was odorless, the standard temperature, normal color, TSS and E colidid not exceed the maximum standard of drinking water. For the total parameter of coliform, only 1hamlet is B hamlet which meet the standard that is equal to 47/100 ml. Dusun A, C, D and E, totalcoliform content did not meet the standard that is equal to 68, 70 and 86/100 ml, so that water wells in4 hamlets are not in accordance with Permenkes Number 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010 about QualityTerms Clean water. Beurawe well water pollution is mostly caused by household wastewater, smallindustry and waste of trading activities

Abstract

With the hotel business rapidly growing, the emergence of pollution is increasing from year to year, including wastewater. Several processes are available to treat domestic wastewater. One of the biological processes that will be used is by using probiotics. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of liquid probiotics from organic waste to treat domestic wastewater. The parameters observed in this study were PH, BOD5, COD, TSS, oil and fat, ammonia, and total coliform. In this study, two types of treatment were applied, namely treatment I (liquid waste only) and treatment II (probiotics + wastewater from the WWTP aeration process). The volume of the wastewater is varied in treatment II. The mixing contact times used were 24 hours, 42 hours, and 72 hours. The best result is seen in Ammonia with 24 hours of aeration of wastewater and a mixture of 150 ml/liter probiotics. The improvements that meet the government's threshold value (TLV) are total coliforms in experiments with wastewater aeration for 42 hours and a mixture of 100 ml/liter probiotics. The total coliforms improvement was seen in the 72-hour aeration experiment of wastewater and a mixture of 100 ml of probiotics.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the management of toxic hazardous materials (THM) in PT. X. The research method uses a comparison technique between the implementation of THM management with the applicable regulations, namely Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation No. 101/2014 concerning management of THM, Minister of Environment Regulation No. 14/2013 concerning the symbol and label of THM, environmental control agency decision No 1/1995 concerning the storage and collection of THM, and environmental control agency decision 2/1995 concerning THM documents. Based on the research PT X has carried out the management of THM in each production unit that produces THM. The types of THM were produced those are ink sludge, WWTP sludge, fly ash, bottom ash, used chemical packaging, ink cans, electronic waste, mercury lamps, toner, filters, and used refrigerants. The characteristics of THM are toxic, corrosive, highly flammable, and infectious. The biggest amount of THM produced in the WWTP sludge. The company has reused WWTP sludge so that it can reduce the amount of sludge produced by 99.83%. The THM management system at PT X follows the work instruction that has been based on applicable regulations. PT X conducts THM management very well.

Abstract

Compressor at PT. Es Muda Perkasa that commonly failure is at unit D. So that need to optimize the compressor at unit D with finding the failure of the parts of the compressor and making the schedule of maintenance program to minimize the failure of the ice machine. This study using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method, which applicate Grey FMEA to determine the priority of the machine maintenance. After conducting and implementing the RCM method, it was found that the failure occurs at Low-Pressure and High-Pressure Pump at compressor unit D, and sub-part failure happen on bearing, due to small coefficient, which is 0.566 where it become primarily failure component. For the next maintenance, using schedule on condition task on bearing parts of the machine could minimize the failure of the parts on the machine

Abstract

This paper discusses improving the accuracy of electrical load forecasting by imputation on empty load data. It is important to estimate the demand for electricity loads for the power plant operating system, fuel supply and maintenance of the power system. The forecast of the electrical load is carried out on the basis of the historical data of electrical load which is generally represented in the load curve. The load curves in research at the Singkarak substation Borang show that there are several load patterns, some missing data and data that is suddenly increasing. The percentage of blank data in 2015 was 1.8379%, while   the highest  in September at was 0.5137% or 45 hours. To fill in the missing data, three imputation techniques were used,   i.e., filling in the data from the previous day's data at the same time ; perform regression analysis on the month  the data was missing; and using the mean values from  monthly data. The results of forecast using the moving average method provide a forecast of the  electrical load on January 1, 2016 wll be 138 kW. The Mean Absolute Error (MAE) for the best load forecast is 9.59, using a data set equipped with the imputation of the mean.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the distributor of car spare parts and the object studied was car glass glue. This item is a product that experiences a stacking stock in the warehouse, so it needs inventory control to reduce the stacking stock. The character of the product which does not have expired date as long as it is not used and small size, the company never make an optimal estimate of the order, so the activity of ordering goods is only based on its own estimates. The method used in this research is EOQ to obtain the economical amount of the product to be ordered. The calculation process using EOQ method is done against 2019 sales data predicted to 2021 using Trend Linear forecasting method, with function form is Y=1,8776x+256,21. Furthermore, the minimum and maximum stock quantity is determined using the Min-Max Inventory method. From the result of the study found that the economic Q per ordered is 386 pcs with the frequency of bookings 8 times a year. The minimum inventory is 108 pcs and the maximum is 144 pcs with the amount of safety stock is 72 pcs and ROP is 108 pcs. By using EOQ method, the company can make savings of Rp3,939,330 per year and reduce storage cost by Rp10,119,635 per year.

Abstract

Central Antapani sub-district is one of the regions in Bandung City that has a reduce reuse recycle waste processing facility, namely TPS 3R Cibatu. There are still problems that cause solid waste management did not run optimally. The manager of TPS 3R Cibatu confirmed that there would be an optimization attempt. But, the limited funds from previous solid waste retribution became a problem to accelerate that solid waste management optimization. The research’s purpose is to analyze Willingness to Pay (WTP) from the community of Central Antapani sub-district in the optimization attempt of TPS 3R Cibatu, because there has not been researched that done the study of the amount of the community’s WTP. The method used is the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and bidding game technique. The number of respondents that being interviewed is 160 householders, with the details of 135 householders who are willing to pay and 25 householders who are not. Based on the interview result, obtained the average WTP of Rp. 7.163/month and the total WTP of Rp. 16.079.000/month. Based on the statistical analysis, known that the factors that affected the WTP value’s respondents are educational level and solid waste retribution fund.

Abstract

The issue of data security seems to be one of the most intriguing topics to observe in the development of information technology in recent time/. The information technology related to the management processes, one of which is the SIMAK application at   the University of Siliwangi needs a higher security concern. This study aims to determine the level of security of the SIMAK application in which the researchers can provide recommendations to SIMAK managers. This could be the basis for the future improvements. Researchers used 4 domains from ISO / IEC 27002: 2013, namely domain 5, it contains information security policies. Domain 6, it contains organizational information security. Domain 9, it contains access control. Lastly, Domain 11, it contains physical and environmental security.  When they are specified from the four domains, 38 controls are obtained. Security, from the results of the questionnaire and weighting, the result of the 5 domains maturity value is= 1.49, the result of the domain 6 maturity value is= 1.52, while domain 9 maturity value is= 1.32 and domain 11 maturity value constitute to 1.97.  If it is averaged,  the Siliwangi University SIMAK application is at level 2 or repeatable.

Abstract

PT Out Of Asia is an exporting company that produces handicraft products. All products in the company are semi-finished products from suppliers who performed the finishing and packing stage. The production process system is done by the company varies according to the demand of the consumer, so the raw material of packing needed also vary. However, the increasing number of consumer demand is increasingly binding, it will also increase the demand for packing raw materials, so it is necessary to control the supply of raw materials packing to minimize the cost of raw material inventory according to storage capacity and packing production capability. In addition, ordering of raw materials can be done in combination to save raw material inventory. The method used in this research is Joint Replenishment Problem (JRP) and (Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, to compare total inventory cost using Joint Replenishment Probe (JRP) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The research shows that total cost the minimum inventory using Joint Replenishment Problem (JRP) method is Rp 1,180,246,601 / year compared to use the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method of Rp 4,326,163,356 / year, with the difference of comparison using JRP and EOQ of Rp 3,145,916,750/ year
