Abstract

PT. Nesinak Industries is a company which focuses on the manufacturing process of an electronic component as well as automotive components (vehicle). In business activities, such as production, a strategy is required to survive in competition. Planning and forecasting are a strategy that can be implemented to accomplish these goals. In this study, the data used are previous sealing application data from January 2019 to March 2021. The objective of this study is to forecast product demand over the next period in order to be able to respond to customer demand. Data processing in this study utilize the Brown exponential  double smoothing method  and the moving average is then determined with the lowest MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) value to be used for the company’s product demand prediction calculations. The value of taken from Brown's exponential dual smoothing method is the value of with the two lowest error values from 0.1 to 0.9, whose value with the least error value is = 0.8 and = 0.9. In terms of the moving average method, the researchers tested a period of three months and a period of four months. In the MAPE calculation, the results of exponential double smoothing = 0.8 of 26.92 %, exponential double smoothing = 0.9 of 26.22 %, moving average n = 3 of 32.46%, and moving average n = 4 of 34.77%.

Abstract

PT. X is a plant in rubber production. Rubber factories in some material handling activities still use material handling manually and depending on the worker, physical requesting from these workers needs to be considered the factors that influence it. The research objective is to study any factors related to the work of employees in the production department of PT. X. The method used in this study is a cross-sectional study that is research carried out or collected simultaneously at the same time, this is done in order to get the good results. The results in this study obtained factors that have an effect on the physical, sex of employee with physical employee with a value of P value = 0,000 and work intensity of employees with physical employees with a value of P value = 0,000.

Abstract

Bone is one of the wastes result in environmental pollution and public health issues if it is thrown directly into the environment. The aim of this research was to study the characteristics of activated charcoal of activated sulfuric acid goat bone. The process of making activated charcoal of goat bone included two stages of process, herein consisted of first carbonization process of goat bone at temperature of 700  C for 20 minutes to produce goat bone charcoal. The second process is chemical activation by using sulfuric acid activator at various concentrations of 1N, 2N and 3N for24 hours. The results showed that the best activated charcoal characteristic of sulfuric acid was at 3N sulfuric acid concentration, 0.289% moisture content, ash content of 6.4%, absorption capacity of Iod 983 mg / g, volatile matter 15,017, fixed carbon 82.013 and spectra FTIR of activated carbon showed spectra of absorption band at wave number 3546,143 – 3604,135 cm-1 on vibration of group -OH, with intensity 76%. Overall, the results revealed that the quality of activated charcoal of goat bone isstill eligible of the values recommended by SNI-06-4253-1996 about the quality of activated charcoal.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and evaluate the management of toxic and hazardous materials (THM) at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) Dental Hospital. This hospital is a special teaching hospital to support the teaching and learning process at the Faculty of Medicine Unpad. Based on the results of observations, THM were produced as much as 322.96 kg/month. The waste generation includes infectious, sharp objects and pharmaceutical waste. The research was conducted by using a comparison method between the conditions at the research location and the applicable regulations. Based on the results of research, the Dental and Oral Hospital Unpad has carried out the management of THM in accordance with applicable regulations. There are several aspects that must be improved, namely the process of sorting and packaging of THM, and attaching symbols and labels to containers. Temporary shelters for THM are operating properly according to the criteria, but there are several things that need to be improved, namely routinely replacing damaged labels because they can cause misinformation about these THM. Shelters need to be equipped with cooling devices, improve ventilation, and establish good trench drainage while THM increasing.

Abstract

The operation of the Talangagung Edu-Tourism Landfill applies a sanitary landfill system, which requires a workforce  to operate  optimally. These workers may be exposed to work  accidents and occupational diseases when the Landfill is operating, which come from various sources of OHS hazards. Efforts to reduce the risk of work accidents and occupational diseases consist of managing  OHS in the working  environment of the Talangagung Edu-Tourism Landfill. The goal of this study is to evaluate the application and provide recommendations to  improving the application of OHS management at  the Edu-Tourism Landfill in Talangagung. Thus, the Talangagung Edu-Tourism Landfill can maximize the volume of waste and educational tourism facilities. This study involved 16 respondents who were divided into workers and decision-makers by selective  sampling in the operation of the Talangagung Edu-Tourism Landfill with data collection by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this study show that the Talangagung Edu-Tourism Landfill has implemented OHS management but the need to formulate new OHS management, to achieve  maximum results. The priority strategy in efforts to improve OHS management is to "enhance  awareness of OHS management" where there is a plan to implement  the strategy to facilitate  implementation of  the strategy in the work environment.

Abstract

This study chitosan membranes were made by phase inversion method by adding rice husk ash silica additives to the casting solution. This study aims to create and evaluate the characteristics of chitosan-silica rice husk ash membranes for application in reducing Cu heavy metals. Chitosan membrane modification is needed to produce membranes with better character, for example increasing membrane stability, reducing pore size so that the separation of molecules or rejection of macromolecules from a membrane solution is more effective. The concentration of chitosan-silica rice husk ash was varied at 20, 19, 17 and 15 (% by weight). The resulting membrane was further characterized for morphological structure parameters by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared (FTIR). Flux and solution rejection using dead-end filtration modules. The SEM test results show that the membrane has pores with asymmetric structures. Membrane performance test on Cu metal has a rejection value of 38%, 39%, 46% and 62% with flux gain reaching 0.4135 to 15.4377 L / hr.

Abstract

The level of competition is usually influenced by a variety of factors such as: promotions, services, security and others. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the strategy of marketing management SME snacks. Although it already has a fairly large market share, but the bare possibility of the presence of competitors engaged in the same field. Then the right strategy is to use the analysis of strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threat (SWOT). In addition, with the approach of matrix internal factor evaluation (IFE), matrix external factor evaluation (EFE) and the matrix internal external (IE). Renewal in the research is the use of the IFE, EFE and IE matrix. This is so that the results of the assessment can determine the position and strength of the business. Then the results of the study show that SME snacks have 8 strength, 7 weaknesses, 6 opportunities and a 5 threat. In addition, the results of the IFE matrix is weighted by 2.74 this show is in the position of the average. While the results of the EFE matrix weighted by 3.01 it is shown to be in a strong position. While the results of the IE matrix is in quadrant II, it is within the scope of a strategy to growth and nurture (growth and build).

Abstract

Ideally the increase in electrical energy needs is proportional to the supply, but these conditions often cannot be met by the energy provider. This condition can affect the quality of electrical energy supply to customers, such as system outages to power outages. Short-term solutions and concrete steps in an effort to overcome these problems is saving electricity usage. In accordance with presidential regulation no. 5 of 2006 concerning energy conversion and the decision of the Minister of National Education No. 13 of 2012 about Savings on the Use of Electric Energy in government and private institutions, it is necessary to make efficient use of electricity in the University Of Serambi Mekkah Faculty of Engineering. There is no data on energy consumption in the building. It is necessary to conduct an energy audit of the building to determine the level of energy use in the building. The initial IKE value is a guideline for decision making whether or not a detailed audit is needed for the building. The audit results are Energy Saving Opportunities (PHE) that can be obtained by applying the optimal Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE). The results obtained energy savings reached 45.65% from the initial data.

Abstract

Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a traveling salesman optimization problems in visiting the city and every town just skipped right one. Tsp problem can be applied to various activities are to optimize, in the completion of TSP there are several methods that can be used, including the algorithms evolve. To increase diversity and raise the quality of the solution, the method used is the replacement strategy. This study analyzes the replacement method of steady state and generational strategy. Replacement strategy steady state will be trapped local optimum because of the new individual created only one new member to be tested for inclusion in the population further, while the replacement strategy generational diversity will increase as generational this procedure replaces all individuals in a generation is replaced at once by a number of individuals The new results of crossover and mutation. In this study, the test data used is datatsp lib as much as 5 dataset, and raised as much as 128 generations, the testing of each data set 10 times of testing, resulting from this test is the average minimum distance and diversity, after testing then get a conclusion that by using the merger method of replacement strategy generational steady state and the shortest distance to get a solution that is more optimal.

Abstract

PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang adalah sebuah perusahaan yang fokus utamanya pada bidang Manufaktur. Salah satu produk yang dimiliki oleh perusaahaan ini adalah Piece Pivot. Kualitas produk yang baik akan meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan. Untuk itu pada penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menekan angka produk cacat pada Piece Pivot. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan alat pengendalian kualitas yaitu seven tool. Seven tool merupakan alat dasar yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pengendalian kualitas yang terdiri dari Peta Kendali, Histogram, Check Sheet, Flowchart, Diagram scatter, Diagram Pareto, dan Diagram Fishbone. Langkah awal penelitian adalah proses pengumpulan data setelah itu dilanjut proses pengolahan dan analisis data. Dari ketujuh tools yang telah dilakukan didapatkan Cacat produk yang paling dominan pada produk Piece Pivot adalah lubang yang miring atau tidak sesuai pada proses Pierching 1. Titik permasalahan yang telah dianalisis terletak pada beberapa aspek, diantaranya yaitu aspek metode, material, mesin, manusia dan lingkungan. Dari beberapa aspek tersebut aspek yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produk cacat Piece Pivot adalah aspek metode yaitu proses produksi yang menggunakan metode terputus-putus dan kurangnya pengarahan mengenai penerapan SOP yang berlaku.  Dari hasil analisis Kaizen Five-M Checklist didapatkan beberapa usulan perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dilakukan peningkatan pengawasan terhadap penerapan SOP, membuat sistematika dan panduan kerja yang sesuai pada proses produksi Piece Pivot dan memperbarui metode produksi agar dapat lebih terstruktur.
