Abstract

The increasing integration of advanced technology in education has created new opportunities to enhance teaching practices. However, evaluation systems still dominated by traditional methods have not been able to fully represent students' applicative competencies. This study explores the implementation of metaverse technology, specifically through the use of FrameVR, in formative assessment at the Vocational High School (SMK) level in Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative survey data from 38 students with qualitative interviews to evaluate the impact on student motivation, collaboration, and engagement. The findings indicate a significant positive impact of the metaverse-based assessment environment on student participation and interest. Students reported higher motivation and stronger collaboration skills when completing tasks within the immersive virtual environment. This research highlights the potential of metaverse platforms to transform traditional assessment into an interactive, engaging, and skills-oriented experience, aligning with the demands of the modern workforce. Implications for future research and educational policy are discussed, particularly concerning infrastructure, digital equity, and teacher readiness in adopting immersive learning technologies. The successful implementation of the metaverse in education is highly dependent on infrastructural preparedness, financial support, enhancement of teacher competencies through training, and robust data security and privacy guarantees.

Abstract

Students of Economics Education at Mulawarman University are part of Generation Z, and they benefit from insurtech innovations like Shopee's product damage protection.  Despite the service's usefulness and ease of use, its intention to be reused is low.  Perceived utility and perceived ease of use, as measured by use attitude, impact behavioral intention to use, according to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).  A total of 104 pupils who have made use of Shopee's insurtech services are a part of this quantitative study's route analysis.  Information was gathered by means of surveys and analyzed with the help of STATA version 13.  The findings show that behavioral intention to use is somewhat affected by perceived ease of use and using attitude, but not by perceived usefulness.  Furthermore, among Economics Education students at Mulawarman University, use attitude is indirectly affected by behavioral intention to use via perceived utility and perceived ease of use of Shopee's insurtech services, and vice versa.  Management Information Systems (MIS) play an important element in understanding how people embrace digital financial services powered by technology, especially insurtech markets, and what this means for creating user-adaptive systems of information.

Abstract

Stock market investing has emerged as a highly favored financial instrument in Indonesia; however, navigating the complexities of stock selection remains a formidable challenge, particularly for retail investors who lack specialized technical expertise in fundamental analysis. To bridge this critical gap, this study rigorously develops a robust Decision Support System (DSS) founded on the Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method. This research is highly significant as it represents the first documented application of the MABAC methodology for comprehensive stock evaluation and Stock Ranking within the dynamic and volatile environment of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The evaluation framework utilizes five critical financial health indicators as criteria: Price to Earnings Ratio (PER), Price to Book Value (PBV), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). The system's performance was rigorously validated through an iterative process against manual calculations, yielding an exceptionally high consistency with a marginal average discrepancy of only 0.0001. The results specifically identify SIDO as the top-ranking stock, primarily due to its superior capability in maintaining high profitability while minimizing financial risk. Ultimately, this DSS furnishes investors with an objective, data-driven recommendation tool, establishing MABAC as a highly effective and reliable mechanism for enhancing the quality of investment decisions and mitigating financial risks in the Indonesian capital market.

Abstract

The Mamikos mobile application has become a popular platform for housing seekers in Indonesia. It has garnered a rating of 4.1 on the Play Store and 4.7 on the App Store. However, the factors influencing user acceptance and usage of the Mamikos mobile application remain unclear. This study aims to examine these factors using the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. Data was collected using purposive sampling. The Lemeshow formula was employed to determine the appropriate sample size, resulting in 168 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The findings indicate that social trust has a significant positive influence on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Perceived ease of use, in turn, has a significant positive influence on both perceived usefulness and attitude towards use. Subjective norms exert a significant positive influence on attitude towards use. Perceived usefulness significantly impacts attitude towards use, which in turn significantly affects intention to use. Intention to use has a significant positive influence on actual system usage. However, subjective norms do not significantly influence perceived usefulness.

Abstract

The development of a rice leaf disease detection information system using the Agile method aims to provide an innovative solution for fast and accurate plant disease identification. The system can detect four major rice leaf disease classes: bacterial blight, brownspot, blast, and healthy conditions. The development process follows an iterative approach, starting from understanding user needs to system implementation and testing. Black-box testing was applied to ensure that all features, such as image upload and disease classification, function according to specifications. Evaluation results indicate that the system achieves high accuracy in disease detection based on the utilized dataset. However, dataset limitations and testing scenarios pose challenges for generalizing results to real-field conditions. Hence, intensive evaluation and dataset updates are crucial for future development. With its user-friendly interface, the system is expected to support farmers in improving productivity and efficiency in rice disease detection.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has highlighted the need for efficient and transparent school administration systems. Traditional manual student profile management and tuition payment processes often lead to delays, errors, and inefficiencies. This study proposes an integrated system that combines Augmented Reality (AR) for student profile photo standardization and a Payment Gateway for automated financial transactions. The AR feature enables students to capture standardized profile photos directly through the application, ensuring compliance with school regulations while reducing administrative workload. Simultaneously, the Payment Gateway supports multiple digital payment methods, enhancing transaction speed, security, and transparency. The research follows a four-stage methodology: Needs Analysis, Prototype Design, Application Development, and Testing & Refinement. Through Needs Analysis, key administrative challenges were identified, guiding the design and development of the system. The prototype was developed using Laravel for the backend, React for the front end, OpenCV for AR processing, and Midtrans as the Payment Gateway provider. Extensive testing, including User Acceptance Testing, demonstrated the system’s effectiveness in streamlining administrative tasks. The AR-based profile photo verification and secure online payment processing significantly improved user experience and efficiency. Refinements were made to optimize system performance, including enhanced image processing for low-quality cameras, real-time transaction retry mechanisms, and User Interface improvements for better navigation. This study contributes to the digital transformation of school administration by integrating AR and Payment Gateway technologies, providing a scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solution for educational institutions.

Abstract

Shorof is one of the branches of Arabic language studies that examines word formation changes (tashrif) to produce various meanings, focusing on how modifications in letters affect the meaning and function of words in sentences. This field is essential for those who want to understand Arabic in depth, especially in reading, writing, and interpreting the Quran. The study of Shorof is commonly conducted in Islamic boarding school (pesantren) or madrasah, often using memorization methods. However, this method is considered burdensome and time-consuming due to the repetition required, making it less effective. As a result, many people think that learning Shorof is difficult. By the advancement of digital technology, Shorof learning can be implemented through an interactive web based application using the Computer Based Instruction (CBI) approach as an alternative of media learning. This can assist learners in studying basic Shorof in a more modern way. The development of learning materials using the CBI approach focuses on drill and practice and tutorial models, which can be accessed via a website. The application is developed using the Bootstrap framework and programmed with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL as the database. Through this interactive web-based learning platform, studying Shorof becomes more engaging for anyone interested in learning Arabic, while also making the learning process especially Shorof more accessible and effective.

Abstract

The study of the Pandaan–Malang Toll Road development is relevant for understanding the impact of infrastructure on socio-economic changes based on spatial data. To date, quantitative approaches that combine satellite imagery data with artificial intelligence algorithms have rarely been used comprehensively to assess regional dynamics. This study develops a machine learning-based prediction model to examine the relationship between infrastructure development and the intensity of community activities. The primary data analyzed is Night-Time Light (NTL) from satellite observations, which is treated as an indicator of the level of economic and social activity on the earth's surface. The research stages include the process of extracting and transforming spatial data, temporal analysis of night light intensity from 2013 to 2023, and the application of the Random Forest algorithm to predict trends until 2040. The findings indicate that areas adjacent to the toll gate show a consistent increase in night light intensity, reflecting faster growth in economic activity and population density compared to other areas. The developed prediction model demonstrates high performance with a low mean squared error (MSE) value. The integration of NTL data and the machine learning approach has proven to be able to describe spatial dynamics more objectively and precisely. Scientifically, this study introduces a replicable analytical framework to support evidence-based decision-making in infrastructure planning and sustainable regional development.

Abstract

In the era of digital transformation and data-driven decision-making, property companies are increasingly challenged by the complexity of managing vast, diverse, and unstructured data. Knowledge Discovery Systems (KDS) have emerged as vital tools for extracting valuable insights to support strategic functions such as property valuation, market analysis, and urban planning. This paper aims to investigate the trends and challenges in implementing KDS in property companies through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA framework. A total of 23 relevant publications from 2020 to 2025 were reviewed. The study finds that KDS applications span from real estate price prediction using machine learning to knowledge representation using semantic models. However, the implementation of KDS still faces significant barriers such as limited interdisciplinary collaboration, poor data quality, domain-specific constraints, and resistance to technological adoption. The results of this review contribute to a better understanding of how KDS can be effectively utilized in the property sector. It also highlights the need for future research to improve system adaptability, model explainability, and integration with domain knowledge to foster more intelligent, data-driven organizations

Abstract

The management of final projects at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, is still carried out conventionally, namely through the collection of physical documents, manual form filling, and verification and approval processes that require students to interact directly with administrative staff. This situation causes various problems, including time inefficiency, the risk of document loss or damage, limitations in monitoring the progress of final projects, and difficulties in integrated data management and evaluation. This study aims to design a website-based final project administration system that can integrate the entire final project management process in a structured and well-documented manner. The system development method used is the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, coding, and testing. Data collection was conducted through interviews with students, lecturers, study programme managers, faculty academic departments, faculty leaders, and literature studies to identify the needs of system users, including students, supervisors, and study programmes. The results of the research are the design and implementation of a website-based final assignment administration system that supports title submission, guidance, proposal seminars, final hearings, assessments, and digital document archiving. System testing using the black-box testing method showed that all system functions ran according to the established requirements and specifications. Thus, the designed system is expected to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of final project administration management at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN North Sumatra, Medan.
