Abstract

GOR Anugrah is a company that provides badminton court rental services. In the current court rental process at GOR Anugrah, there are still several issues that need to be addressed, with the main problem being the lack of information about court availability. This often causes potential renters to wait for confirmation from the management. In addition, renters also face challenges such as double bookings and complicated payment processes due to inefficient rental management. The author aims to analyze and design a website that simplifies the court rental process. To conduct the analysis and design, the author applies the Design Thinking method, which includes the stages of empathy, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In conclusion, the author hopes that the designed badminton court rental website can serve as a solution for GOR Anugrah. With the implementation of this website, it is expected that potential renters will find it easier to access availability information, make reservations, and complete payments online. Moreover, by enhancing brand awareness through the website, GOR Anugrah is expected to attract more new renters and expand its market reach.

Abstract

Vehicle license plate recognition plays a vital role in intelligent transportation systems, parking management, and digital ticketing. However, conventional license plate recognition systems often face challenges related to lighting variations, viewing angles, and character distortions, which can decrease accuracy and efficiency, especially on mobile devices. This study aims to implement an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) framework, specifically EasyOCR, in a mobile application designed to read vehicle license plates in real time. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, which includes the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The mobile application was built using Flutter, integrated with a smartphone camera for data input and EasyOCR for text extraction. The testing results demonstrate that the proposed system can accurately detect and recognize license plate characters with an average accuracy rate of 100%. The contribution of this study lies in the application of EasyOCR on mobile platforms through a structured SDLC approach, enhancing the practicality of OCR-based vehicle identification systems for real-world transportation and parking management applications.

Abstract

The application of information technology in household financial management has provided individuals with the convenience of being more disciplined in recording income and expenses. This study aims to develop a desktop-based household financial management application using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). The application is designed to facilitate transaction recording, financial goal planning, and financial analysis, which can help users make more informed financial decisions. The development method employed is Agile Development, following sprint stages including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. System testing was conducted using the black-box testing method to ensure that the application functions as expected. The testing results showed a high level of success, with an overall success rate of 98% for the core features of the application, such as transaction recording, financial goal planning, and financial analysis. There was a minor issue identified with the category management feature, with an error rate of approximately 2%, which will be addressed in the next development phase. The application was also tested across various usage scenarios and demonstrated optimal performance in managing household financial data without significant issues. In conclusion, the application successfully achieves its goal of providing a practical and effective solution for household financial management. With a success rate of 98% for its main features, the application is ready for real-life implementation. Recommendations for future development include enhancing integration with external financial services and developing a mobile version to expand user reach.

Abstract

  This study implements the Extreme Programming (XP) method for developing an online course system at Madania Centre. The system addresses challenges such as manual transaction processes, inefficiencies, and user unfamiliarity with technology. Using the Laravel framework and Midtrans as a payment gateway, the system streamlines content purchasing and access for users. The research involves stages of planning, design, coding, and testing, ensuring a user-friendly interface and secure transactions. Testing via black-box methodology confirmed the system's reliability. The results demonstrate improved efficiency, better user experience, and operational optimization, making the solution adaptable to similar use cases in educational and consulting sectors.

Abstract

The city of Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara faces increasingly serious drought challenges due to climate change and rapid urbanization, prompting the need for this study to predict drought vulnerability in the region. This study aims to develop a drought vulnerability prediction model using a machine learning approach that combines Normalized Difference Drought Index (NDDI) data, built-up areas, and population data in the last five (5) years. The methods used include NDDI calculations from satellite imagery, a zonal statistical analysis, and drought vulnerability simulations using models such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Artificial Neural Network. The results show that the Random Forest model provides the best prediction with the highest R Squared value, and indicates an increased risk of drought in several villages in 2030 and 2040, especially in areas with rapid population growth and expansion of built-up areas. The conclusion of this study confirms that the developed approach is able to provide a more accurate picture of drought-prone areas, so that it can be an important guide in more resilient and sustainable urban  planning, and recommends strengthening water management and spatial planning policies with early intervention in the most vulnerable areas.

Abstract

This study evaluates tourist interest at the Kayutangan Heritage area in Malang City based on gender perceptions through sentiment analysis of reviews on Google Point of Interest (POI). The research employs a big data approach by collecting reviews from Google Maps using web scraping techniques and processing them with the TextBlob algorithm to classify sentiments into positive, neutral, and negative categories. A total of 2,198 reviews were analyzed from six food and beverage (F&B) points across six spatial clusters of the Kayutangan Heritage area. The data were divided into two datasets—overall and gender-labeled—to identify sentiment tendencies among male and female tourists. The results indicate that female tourists tend to prefer Café Lafayette (Cluster 1.A), which offers women-friendly facilities such as separate restrooms and prayer rooms, with a positive sentiment of 67.6%. Meanwhile, male tourists are more interested in Kedai Sedjiwa (Cluster 2.B), which provides a clean environment, modern architecture, and a comfortable ambiance, generating 77.1% positive sentiment. The findings support Chebli et al.’s (2020) model of gender-based tourist preferences, demonstrating that men and women prioritize different elements of a destination. This study contributes to the development of gender-inclusive tourism strategies and data-driven management for heritage destinations.
