Dynamics flow of society continues to flow and move towards the ocean modernism community life in which an element of hope in addition to anxiety and social unrest. Global developments which are happening now could be going towards positive direction and negative direction, depending on who is the most widely installed concepts, ideas, culture and values into it. In these conditions, we talk about the progress of Islamic education in Indonesia human empowerment in the arena of globalization. The era of globalization is a product of the advancement of science and technology, hence improving the quality of human resources to spur the advancement of Muslim science and technology should get priority. This is challenge for Islamic education and thinkers. Islamic boarding school is the forerunner of Islamic education in Indonesia, which was founded due to the demands and needs of the times. Pesantren is born because of a sense of obligation Islamic daâwah, and disseminating the teachings of Islam as well as develop cadres ulama and daâi. Islamic boarding schools have long been an institution that has an important contribution to the nation to participate. A large number of pesantren in Indonesia, as well as a very large number of students at each boarding makes this institution to be reckoned with in terms of nation-building in education and moral. Improvements are continually made to the schools, both in terms of management, academic (curriculum) and facilities, making the boarding out of the traditional and conservative impression that had been assumed. The origin comes from the Hindu tradition schools that have long grown in this country. While the opinions of others say that the origin of the system of boarding education is a growing tradition in the Islamic and Arab world itself. Education schools have two teaching systems, i.e. systems sorogan, often called the individual systems, and systems or wetonan bandongan often called collectively. Boarding schools are educational institutions that grow and thrive in the midst of the community, its existence has been recognized by the community.

This article shows that one form of parenting in improving childrens independence is deliberation by parents. Parents recognize the ability of their children, and then the child is given the opportunity to not always depend on the parents. In this case, the role of deliberation is important to reach a joint decision fairly and wisely, so that children form a creative, independent, and still respect the parents. Thus, the better parenting performed by parents, it will have a positive impact on the independence of their children.

This paper will explore education in the perspective of Hadith, both the meaning, the nature, and the practice of education, as well as its urgency. In the books of Hadis (al-kutub al-tisâah) there are many themes that talk about education. In the books it is mentioned a lot of terms tarbiyah, talim, tadib, and other terms associated with it such as âilm, al-aql, al-fikr, al-hikmah, and so on. The number of Hadis proves that the Prophet during his life did pay special attention to the issue of education. The search for an educational theme in the Hadis is a thematic study method (syarh al-mawdhui). The results of this study found that there are at least five themes in the Hadis on education: 1) the primacy of education (educating children); 2) the urgency of teaching science (in education); 3) the reward obtained for the learners; 4) fitrah (for children) to learn in education; 5) education from an early age (the obligation of parents to educate their children in worship or praying).

Fourteen points of Demingâs thought about increasing the quality of the educational menagement are epected to be implemented in improving educational management quality in Indonesia. It is said that the essence of thing about the Demingâs concept is leadership. Casmpus STAIN Watampone, as a social institution, is expected to meet the needs of the community about quality education. Principals have an important role in implementing integrated quality or TQM in Campus. STAIN Watampone in a school will not run properly if it is not supported by quality-oriented leadership behavior of the principals. The focus of this research is the problem in leadership behaviors of school principals in implementing STAIN Watampone. This study has the objectives to determine the commitment of the school. The behavior of the principalâs leadership is improving the quality, and strategic leadership in improving the quality.

Education is a pillar for a nation to move forward. Education serves to produce the nation’s future generation having strong intelectual capability accompanied with good character and good morals. However, generally education is only able build the intelectual aspect and fail in the spiritual intelligence. Lately signs of decadence or moral degradation experienced by the public is also increasingly emerging. Violence, fights, sexual harassment, drugs, corruption have become a phenomenon and consumption of media every day. Acceleration of development we have achieved is not followed by a strong moral nation. Although Islam is embraced by the majority population of Indonesia but in application the values embodied in the teachings of Islam is only understood teoritically. It just is not grounded in the applicative level. Islamic education is therefore expected to become one of the main variables that can perform a strategic role in the formation of the nation’s morals. Islamic education is expected to play a role in the development of identity and national character. With the spiritual and moral growth it shapes this nation to be individuals who have a high intelectual capacity and high values of morality.

The study is conducted to determine the relationship of coping with the anxiety level of students in the national exams. This study uses descriptive correlative design involving 153 respondents taken by simple random sampling technique. The results shows that 109 respondents experience high anxiety and 87 respondents use adaptive coping in dealing with the problem. The results are as follows. 1) The learning mastery of Economics subjects in public high schools is 76.91% (“very goodâ€Â), the learning mastery of Economics subjects in private high schools is 75.89% (“goodâ€Â); the level of learning mastery of Economics lesson is “goodâ€Â, 75.97% in public and 70.58% in private high schools; the level of Accounting lesson is “very goodâ€Â, 78.78% in public and 86.51% in private high schools; the material in the Accounting lesson with the lowest rate in public and private high schools is “to describe financial statement and its calculationâ€Â; the difficult materials in Economics lesson in public high schools are “to describe macro and micro economy or problems faced by the government in the financial sectorâ€Â, “to describe opportunity cost†and “to describe price index/inflationâ€Â; the difficult materials in the Economics lesson in private high schools are “to describe price index/inflationâ€Â, “to describe security/security mechanism exchangeâ€Â, “to describe APBN/APBD, income and spending of government sources, “to describe the ways how to develop cooperationâ€Â. 2) The utilization of the NE results by teachers in public high schools is relatively better than that in private high schools, and therefore the utilization of the NE results by teachers need to be increased; the kind of utilization are to give a lot of excercises and to engage student in evaluating their assignments and exercises. This article elaborates pro and contra opinion about national examination.

Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) is considered by the social society as the agent of moral force that has given major contribution to the Islamic educational institutions in achieving what so called perfect human being, by upholding morals and morality in the society, particularly for women in Islam. Therefore, in order to create a modern and intelligent generation, Islamic Boarding Schools advances women’s Islamic education. How and in what way Ummul Mu’minin takes this role, has inspired researchers to study it. This paper is a case study that shows that the existence of girls Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) of Ummul Mukminin coordinated by ‘Aisyiyah in South Sulawesi region is one those Islamic educational institution that is able to accelerate Muslim women’s educational progress. Therefore, this Pesantren is expected to continue enhancing its contribution in the community development, especially Muslim women, as well as the extensive development of Islamic thought that can answer the challenges of civilization in globalization era, even as a pioneer for other Islamic educational institutions in shaping modern, intelligent Islamic women generations.

Islamic education as an integral part of national education will give an active role and ensure the realization of national education. The goal is to complete Indonesian human development and the development of the entire Indonesian people. Renewal of Islamic education is an absolute thing to do as a way of refreshment and renewal of Islamic values in the life. This means Islamic education today is facing numerous challenges in various dimensions of life: social, economic, cultural, political, science and technology, and so on. Where are these challenges, both quantitatively will be growing up in the future. In other words, that the various demands of Muslims are facing today requires a response that is steady and concrete, among others with the ability to optimally prepare human resources Muslim reliable, independent and professional in their respective fields.

This article discusses the role of strategic education institutions in developing a harmonious, harmonious and peaceful life in a diverse society of religions, tribes and cultures. As educational institutions function to engage in social integration, it is deemed most potential to instill the attitudes and values of togetherness, unity, peace, respect and closeness among ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural diversity of learners and society. The results of this study show the efforts and strategies undertaken STAIN Sorong institutions in applying a multicultural-oriented education. Through the cultivation of the spirit of multiculturalism will be a medium of training and awareness for the younger generation to accept cultural, religious, racial, ethnic and difference needs among others and willing to live together peacefully, especially in Papua.
