Abstract

The student’s curiosity, self-confidence, and interest in learning science are still low. This situation is also supported by the teacher's way of teaching, which is less attractive so that students feel that science lessons are so boring. This study analyzes the relationship between curiosity, self-confidence, and kinesthetic learning styles interested in learning science. The type of research conducted is the type of ex-post research. This population is 326 students. Determination of the sample in this study using a random sampling technique with the required number of samples, as many as 167 students. The method used in this research is the non-test method. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is inferential statistical analysis. This research shows that the significance of curiosity is 0.000 < 0.05, so curiosity has a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science. The significance of self-confidence is 0.024 <0.05, so self-confidence has a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science. The significance of the kinesthetic learning style (x3) is 0.047 < 0.05, so the kinesthetic learning style is significantly positively related to the interest in learning science. It was concluded that curiosity, self-confidence, and kinesthetic learning styles had a significant positive relationship with interest in learning science.

Abstract

The lack of interactive teaching materials used to support Balinese language learning activities causes students to lack understanding of the material and be less interested in learning the Balinese language. This study aims to create teaching materials in the form of a contextual-based e-book suitable for fourth-grade elementary school students. This study uses the ADDIE development model, which consists of 5 stages, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The types of data collected in this study are quantitative data and qualitative data. The subjects in this study were one subject matter expert, one learning design expert, one learning media expert, and 12 elementary school fourth-grade students. The method of data collection uses the questionnaire method. The teaching material in the form of this e-book is declared eligible by obtaining the percentage results from the subject matter expert test with very good qualifications (95%), the learning design expert test with very good qualifications (91.7%), the learning media expert test with very good qualifications (90 %), individual trials with good qualifications (85%), and small group trials with good qualifications (88.8%). It can be concluded that the contextual-based e-book on the local content of writing Balinese script for the fourth grade is declared feasible to be used in the Balinese language learning process.

Abstract

Learning media used to support the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic for grade I elementary school students is still unavailable, resulting in the learning process and students' understanding of learning, especially the content of mathematics material, is not optimal. The better the learning media, the better the student's competence. This study aims to create and determine the feasibility of ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning video media on the content of the solid geometry material. This study used the ADDIE development model using data collection methods: questionnaire, observation, and unstructured interviews. The method of data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The subjects of this research are material experts, design experts, and learning media experts, and the test subjects are first-grade elementary school students. Development research results are product design for ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning media and the feasibility of instructional video media. Mathematics based on the results of the assessment of learning material expert (93.75%), learning design expert (100%), learning media expert (95%), individual trial (92.36%), and a small group trial (93.05%). So, the ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning video introducing geometry material for first-grade elementary school students is feasible to use and can improve student competence. This research implies that students can learn mathematics using learning videos independently, meaningfully, and fun, and motivate teachers to develop various learning media.

Abstract

In online learning activities, the material presented by the teacher is still very limited, one of which is science learning and animal life cycle material. It makes it difficult for students to learn. This study aimed to develop PBL-based digital comics learning media in science subjects for animal life cycle material for grade IV elementary school. This type of research is developed using the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of two material experts and two learning media experts. The trial subjects were two practitioners by the teacher and five fourth-grade students (individual trial). The methods used in collecting data are interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The instrument used in collecting data is the rating scale instrument. The data analysis techniques are descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative. The study's results were the assessment of the material expert of 4.83 (very good) and the assessment of the media expert of 4.83 (very good). The assessment from expert practitioners got a score of 4.91 (very good), and students got a score of 4.93 (very good). It is concluded that PBL-based digital comic learning media is feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

Thematic book on science learning in elementary schools is still printed, so learning activities have not been optimal in facilitating various learning styles and have not yet integrated characters based on Balinese local wisdom Tri Kaya Parisudha. Therefore, this study aims to produce an e-module to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research subjects are media, material, and language experts. The test subjects were 35 students. Questionnaire data collection methods and practicality and learning outcomes test for effectiveness. The data collection instrument in the questionnaire consists of; media instruments, materials, linguists, and learning outcomes instruments in the form of multiple-choice tests—analysis of quantitative and qualitative descriptive data. The results of this study are; E-Module Based on Tri Kaya Parisudha in Science Learning with the theme of My Friend's Environment for 5th Grade Elementary School Students through the ADDIE Model. E-Modul validity results; material 5.00 is very good; media 5.00 is very good; language 5.00 is very good. 100% practicality is very practical, and the effective test results are based on one sample t-test with the results of t-count 13.45 > t-table 2.03, meaning that t-count is greater than t-table and based on a smaller significance, namely 0.00 < 0.05, meaning that there is an increase in the average science learning outcomes of elementary school students using e-modules based on Tri Kaya Parisudha in the environmental theme of my friend's science learning.

Abstract

Teacher learning activities are less creative and innovative, especially in learning mathematics. Teachers also very rarely give assignments. Teachers do not apply innovative models, and teachers do not motivate students to learn. The interviews showed that the low learning outcomes of mathematics in students were due to the difficulty of developing students' understanding when studying. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the TAI model on mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The total population is 125. The number of samples is 82. The data collection method is a test. The instrument that collects data is the question sheet. The data analysis techniques are descriptive and inferential statistics. The study's t-test analysis results obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Thus, it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in mathematics learning outcomes following TAI learning with conventional learning. So, TAI can improve mathematics learning outcomes. This research implies that the application of TAI causes students' mathematics learning outcomes to increase. Students are enthusiastic and active during the learning activities.
