Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know: 1) The relationship of intellectual intelligence with learning outcomes of learners in SMKN 4 Padang. 2) Relationship of emotional intelligence with learning outcomes of learners in SMKN 4 Padang. 3) The relationship of intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence together with the learning outcomes of learners in SMKN 4 Padang. This research is a type of field research (field research). The nature of this studyis quantitative. Variables are everything that willbe the object of research observation. Population is the amount that is on the object or subject studied that includes all the characteristics or properties possessed by the object or subject it. The population in this study were students of class XI SMKN 4 Padang Year Teaching 2015/2016 which amounted to 457 people. The sample is "part of the number and characteristics possessed by the population". The sample is the partial or representative of the population under study. Data collection techniques that the authors use in this study is to use standardized test instruments. Data processing techniques used in this study is a statistical data processing techniques using correlational analysis techniques and assisted by using SPSS 20.0 for windows. Based on the results of research and discussion in Chapter IV it can be concluded as follows: 1) Proven relation Intellectual intelligence to the results of learning PAI students class XI SMKN 4 Padang because r count 0.388> r table 0.195. 2) Proven relation of emotional intelligence relate to result of learningPAI student of class XI SMKN 4 Padang because r count 0,226> r table 0,195. 3) There is proven intelligence relationship intelligence and emotional intelligence simultaneously to the results of learning PAI students class XI SMKN 4 Padang because r count 0.389> r table 0.195.

Abstract

This was a descriptive qualitative research which was administered to 20 students of STMIK Jayanusa Padang. The data from the observation shown that the lack of collocation competence of the students noticeable when non-native speakers of English need productive language knowledge. they only experienced the limited number of lexical collocations they know or under the influence of their first language “create” unnatural and farfetched collocations. In order to solve this problem, this investigation aimed to expose the students' collocation problems in vocabulary teaching by using collocation tests and questionnaire. The data found were used to offer some pedagogical suggestions that can be applied in class as a starting point, especially to advanced students. Then it is hoped that students will have properly developed and balanced in learning collocations which will help them speak and write English in a more natural way.

Abstract

Think pair share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model is a useful teaching strategy to train students to reconstruct their knowledge they have learnt. It gives students time to think, respond and help each other. It has three important phases; think which means thinking problems individually; pair which means discussing and drawing a hypothesis of a problem in pair; and share which means pairs of student share their ideas and the other students respond to their presentation in the class. The population of this research was all students of grade X at MAN Kota Padang. Problems which rise in grade X MAN Kota Padang are students low concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability in learning mathematic. In order to overcome those problems, it was planned to apply think pair share. Therefore, this research was intended to know the influence of TPS toward the students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability. This research was quasy experimental. Data analysis used test of t test dan Mann Withney U. Based on analysis data showed that : (1) The students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability who studied by using TPS better than those who were taught by using conventional learning.(2) The concept acquisiton and mathematics comunication of the high prior knowledge, medium prior knowledge dan the low prior knowledge of student who studied by using TPS better than those who were taught by using conventional learning. Based on the result of the study, the researcher suggest TPS cooperative learning model a considerable teaching model because it has effectively improved students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability.

Abstract

Education that utilizes systematically planned physical activity aims to develop and enhance individuals organically, neuromuscularly, perceptually, cognitively, and emotionally within the framework of the national education system. Problems that want to be studied in this research are (a) How to improve learning achievement of physical education for students with applied technique technique method? (B) how is the influence of the methodology of skills to student learning motivation? The purpose of this research is (a) how the improvement of physical education learning achievement in students after the application of skill technique method, (b) Knowing the motivation of physical education learning after the application of technique technique method. This research uses action research as much as two rounds. Each round consists of two stages: design, activity and observation. Target of this research is Student Class IX.2 from data obtained in the form of result of practice test, observation sheet. The result of the analysis shows that the students' learning achievement has increased from cycle I to II that is, cycle I (48,72%), cycle II (87,18%) for psychomotor domain, cycle I (69,23%). Cycle II (94.87%) for the active realm Conclusion from this research is skill technique method can have a positive effect on student learning motivation Class IX.2 and learning model can be used as one alternative of physical education.

Abstract

Educational reform is not enough with changes in the curriculum sector, both the structure and the writing procedure. Updating the curriculum will be more meaningful if followed by changes in learning practices inside and outside the classroom. The success of curriculum implementation is strongly influenced by the ability of teachers to apply and actualize the curriculum. Not infrequently the failure of curriculum implementation is caused by the lack of knowledge, skills and ability of teachers in understanding the tasks that must be implemented. This means that the teacher as the executor of the learning activities becomes the key to the implementation of the curriculum in the school.

Abstract

This research was conducted to grade 6 students of SD Negeri 29 Koto Panjang Kecamatan Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Lesson Year 2015/2016. The method used in this research is classroom action research method, data collection through observation, interview and test or assignment, while data analysis is done with interactive model. While the activity is done in an interactive form with the process of collecting data as a cycle process. The results showed that through the method of simulation can improve the activity and learning outcomes of Islamic religious education students Class VI SD Negeri 29 Koto Panjang year 2015/2016 lessons. Student learning activity from initial condition of second cycle there is improvement for improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 29 Koto Panjang, Ranah Pesisir sub district using guided discovery learning method. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of grade IV-A SDN 29 Koto Panjang, Ranah Pesisir sub-district, which consisted of 28 students, consisting of 13 male students and 15 female students. Researchers used an action research model from Kemmis and Taggart. This study was conducted in two cycles of action. In the first cycle is done in one meeting while in the second cycle two meetings. At each cycle there are activities of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used are observation and test sheets. Prior to use in the study, tests were empirically validated and expert judgment. Test reliability is calculated using AlphaCronbach. The observational data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively while the test result was analyzed descriptively quantitative percentage. The results of the first cycle study showed that the percentage of students whose value above the new KKM reached 71.43%, so it still can not achieve the criteria of research success. In cycle II, the steps of applying discovery learning method to improve student's success are done by giving motivation, dividing the smaller group members and heterogeneous member, and giving the opportunity to do group presentation on the result of the practice in front of the class. The percentage of student scores above KKM in cycle II increased to 89.29%. Based on the results of the research, it can be seen that guided discovey method can improve science learning outcomes.

Abstract

IPS is a field of knowledge excavated from everyday practical life in society. Therefore, the teaching of social studies that is not sourced to the community, is unlikely to achieve the goals and objectives of IPS lesson. Related to this research, the researcher is interested in the problems concerning the utilization of the environment as a learning resource, which is formulated in the research title. Researchers believe if teachers do not know the development of children, the teacher will face difficulties in carrying out their duties, because teachers have ignored the potential of children, whereas if teachers forget the demands and needs of society, then the teacher will foster students in unrealistic dreams. Based on the above statement, it is deemed necessary to introduce, understand, develop and apply the learning model with the utilization of the environment as a source of IPS SD learning in order to improve learning achievement. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to conduct research with the title "Improving Student Achievement Class III Through Utilization of the Environment as a source of IPS learning in SD Negeri 29 Koto Panjang District Ranah Pesisir". To be more clear the problem of this research is more focused on research questions as follows: 1) How efforts of teachers to utilize environmental media as a source of IPS in elementary school? 2) How can teachers enable students in IPS lessons to use the environment as a learning resource that can improve student learning achievement? This type of research is Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research) is an action research conducted in the classroom. The result of the research, it can be concluded that Social Science learning activities through the utilization of the environment as a source of learning, greatly assist students in learning Social Sciences. However, learning by using the environment as a learning resource requires the preparation of teaching and management of time and class well in order to achieve effectiveness of results in each classroom learning activity. Social Science Learning (IPS) using the environment as a learning resource can improve teacher motivation and get positive response from students.

Abstract

The result of observation shows that the students' understanding of physics science subject is still low. Many teachers still use conventional methods. Students just listen and take notes. Therefore, the use of appropriate and varied learning models is expected to help students in understanding a concept. One alternative of physics learning that can help students understand the concept is through pictorial riddle learning method. This pictorial riddle learning method uses a riddle of drawings on a whiteboard, poster or projected from a transparency then the teacher asks questions relating to the riddle. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the influence of pictorial riddle learning method on the understanding of physics concepts class IX students semester 1 SMP Negeri 2 Painan 2015/2016 academic year. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The research population is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Painan. The sample used is class IX-2 as experiment class and IX-3 as control class. The variable in this research is the students' concept understanding on the magnetism materials, with the experimental control group design pre test post test. Data retrieval is done through the test in the form of free description and analyzed using simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and test of significance in microsoft excel. The results of data analysis showed the relationship between variables expressed in a simple regression equation Y = 51.99 + 0.4286. The value of correlation coefficient 0,5787 with enough criterion (0,5 <r <0,8) value 0,3348 and coefficient of determination equal to 33,5% and> (3,175> 2,015) at significance level 5%, which mean study pictorial Riddle method effect of 33.5% on the understanding of student physics concepts. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive influence and quite significant method of learning pictorial riddle on the understanding of students' concepts on magnetism materials.

Abstract

This situation and condition has been going on for quite a while and the school until this moment has not been able to fulfill the means of the disc to sufficient limits or ideal conditions, for example by a ratio of 1: 2 (1 disc for 2 persons). This is understandable, because schools have a lot of needs and almost all have a high level of urgency to meet by the school. So demanding schools to provide discs in accordance with ideal conditions, is unrealistic and can further lead to unfavorable climate and climate in schools.
