The results of CBT interventions indicated changes in the reduction in frequency of trauma indications in children who are victims of sexual violence. This proves that CBT interventions can be performed to reduce the trauma experienced by the 10-year-old victim of sexual violence. The elderly who work in an informal sector tend to bear two layers of vulnerability: both body and mental functions that have been degenerated and the insecurities of the job. Status as an informal worker does have an impact on the uncertain income, also the absence of health benefits, pensions, or workers’ compensation. Even if the state guarantees social protections for the elderly, it still has a formidable challenge when it must to be provided for the elderly informal workers specifically, for example, a contribution-based pension that reaches more to the elderly formal workers. Thus, this study discusses the efforts in preventing the vulnerability of elderly informal workers, especially the elderly farmers who are chosen as a case’s subject in this study. Previous studies in a similar topic often emphasize the role of the state in preventing the vulnerability of elderly informal workers (a vertical scheme). In contrast to those studies, the argument of this study is the collaborative roles between the state and communities that are based on capability approach and social capital is able to prevent the vulnerability of elderly informal workers (vertical and horizontal synergy schemes). This study is written based on a case study research with the qualitative approach on the elderly farmers in Padamukti Village, Sukaresmi Subdistrict, Garut Regency, West Java, Indonesia.

Literature has consistently shown that women offenders often have unique needs compared to men primarily due to their role as primary care givers within the family structure. The challenges and needs of women offenders vis-à-vis their vulnerabilities, biases against them, discriminations at various levels and of various kinds in the society and several such factors demand both a professional and a holistic approach towards preventing recidivism among them. Over a period, there has been a growing need for specialized interventions for various populations of people in conflict with law. For example, there is a growing area of intervention for specific categories such as juvenile offenders, young offenders, etc. The statistics on crime show an increasing involvement of women in crime and an emerging need to deal with the issue differently than the existing approach of the Criminal Justice System. It is in this context that professional social workers have an important role to play in prison settings, particularly in the context of women, their vulnerabilities and their involvement in crime. They can intervene during crucial phases such as when the women enter the prison for the first time, during their under-trial detention, conviction period and also provide family related services, health and mental health support and counseling, educational support, facilitate skill development, and job placement in addition to monitoring prison conditions. Social work intervention holds the potential to prevent recidivism among women offenders.

In Vietnam, autism has only been known for more than 10 years, but it has quickly become a burden not only for family with autistic children, but also a burden for the whole society. Although there is no official published data, the number of children diagnosed and treated with autism at public health facilities has increased from 2000 to the present, higher than the previous year. The models of care, intervention, support for autistic children and their families in the world are taking a holistic approach and emphasizing the role of social work services because these services cover from internal Prevention, Intervention, Recovery and Development for children with autism and their families. For Vietnam, social work for a young job is only officially recognized as a job through the project No: 32/2010/QD-TTg "Development of social work careers in the period of 2010 - 2020”. In current conditions in Vietnam, social work services in the community are still new and in the process of development. Research results show that facilities are making efforts in providing social work services to autistic children and their families. However, because of many different reasons, these services have not really developed in a professional way. This limits the effectiveness of interventions with autistic children and their families in the current context in Vietnam.
