Abstract

Human resources become the main role in every activity of a company. Although the company has a good infrastructure and facilities but without the support of human resources that are better than the activities of the company will not run properly and is difficult to achieve company goals. This study aims analyze the influence of Leadership Style, Motivation and Discipline on Employee Performance at PT Sumo Internusa Indonesia. Leadership style still can encourage or motivate the employees to work more actively, effectively, efficiently and optimally. Lack of motivation of employees in the company are visible from at least giving a salary increase, a promotion, giving an increase in incentives as well as the rise of the craft of money. Employees have less work discipline of the presence of employees’ delay. The performance of the employees looks of not achieving the target company. Research methods conducted is quantitative. The number of population and sample in this study a total of 62 employees. The simultaneous and partial leadership style, motivation and the discipline has positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Sumo Internusa Indonesia. Useful suggestions are the correct style of leadership that is able to motivate employees. Increase motivation, especially the salary increase. Improve the discipline by providing clear rules and sanctions in accordance with the degree of violation of the employee.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze discipline, work environment, and commitment to job satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study found 66 employees. The number of samples in this study was 66 employees. In this study, data collection related to the problems studied by researchers was carried out through questionnaires distributed to employees at the company, interviews were conducted to employees, and documentation studies in the form of company data, books, and journals related to the variables studied. Sources of research data consist of primary data in this study are interviews and questionnaires and secondary data is data obtained from notes, books, and magazines in the form of financial reports for company publications, government reports, articles, books as theory, magazines, and so on. The data analysis used is classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the coefficient of determination can be seen from the Adjusted R Square value of 0.561, meaning that 56.1% of the variation in job satisfaction variables can be explained by variations in work discipline, work environment, and commitment variables. while the remaining 43.9% is explained by other variables not examined in the study. So, it can be concluded that discipline, work environment, and work commitment have a positive effect on job satisfaction.

Abstract

Financial performance is a measure of the poor performance of a company. The financial performance is influenced by the business strategy implemented by the company itself. This study aims to analyze the profitability variable on firm value with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as moderate. The profitability variable was measured using the Return on Assets (ROA) value. Meanwhile, Company Value is measured by Tobin's Q. GCG as a variable is measured by two proxies, the Independent Board of Commissioners and the Audit Committee. The sample in this study was 10 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in finance and insurance listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2016-2020 period. The technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The study results indicate that profitability has a significant effect on firm value. Based on the value of t count (3.955) > t table (0.677) and the value of Sig (0.000) <0.05. GCG (Good Corporate Governance) can moderate the effect of profitability on firm value based on the value of t count (8.096) > ttable (0.677), and the Audit Committee based on the value of t count (8.332) > ttable (0.677). Profitability can explain the variation of the firm value variable based on the R2 value of 28.5%, and GCG (Independent Board of Commissioners and Audit Committee) can strengthen the relationship between profitability and firm value to 47.7%.

Abstract

Conflicts usually arise in an organization as a result of the various problems in terms of communication, personal relationships or because of the problem of the structure of the organization. The conflict of work can also be interpreted as the behavior of the members of the organization that was devoted to the liberal opposition against the other members. Work conflicts that occur within the company due to the existence of a dispute occurs on the employee in connection with the work and most employees can't work together in the organization of the company. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of work discipline, communication, and conflict to work on the performance of employees of PT Pratama Makmur Jaya Medan. This research was a descriptive quantitative with explanatory method. Analysis data in this study used multiple regression analysis. Sample collection techniques, namely simple random sampling. The research sample is 106 employees. The test results obtained that the Work discipline is partially positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Pratama Makmur Jaya Medan. Communications in partial positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Pratama Makmur Jaya Medan. The conflict partially has positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Pratama Makmur Jaya Medan. The discipline of work, communication and conflict simultaneously positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Pratama Makmur Jaya Medan.

Abstract

Working from home was an increasing phenomenon to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Although WFH has been expendable well documented, there are still limited studies related to the subject of life balance, happiness and organizational support. This study aimed to figure out the influence of work from home on work-life balance, work-life balance on happiness, and the moderating role of organizational supports towards work from home and work-life balances. The respondents used in this research were the 94 lecturers. The study was done in a quantitative method through cross-sectional data and non-probability sampling method. The analysis model used was Path Analysis, Moderated Regression Analysis and Simple Regression test. The result of this research indicates that WFH has positive effects on WLB and WLB has positive effects on employee happiness. The testing done on moderating effect appeared that organizational support does not moderate the effects of WFH on WLB. Apart from that, theoretical and practical implications were also given in this research. The finding of this study also can be used as managerial practice for any institution and employees to be more aware of their life balances and well-being during the pandemic. For organization, this study can be beneficial to enhance several aspects in making the employees happier. This study also indicates that homeworking could become good alternatives that mutually benefit for both organizations and employees, including flexible work and improving work-life balance.

Abstract

Covid-19's impact on the global economy is unclear. The stock market has responded with dramatic moves around the world. This study aims to analyze the quality of knowledge of the COVID-19 pandemic events regarding the performance of the Indonesian stock market as seen from the average abnormal return before and after the first case of COVID-19 Indonesia on March 2, 2020. The research design used in this study is an event study. The three samples used in this study are companies engaged in the telecommunications sub-sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The study focused on a window period of 15 days before and 15 days after the event date. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the paired sample t-test on data with a typical distribution and the one-sample Wilcoxon signed-ranked test on data that were not normally distributed. The results obtained are that stocks react positively but not significantly to the announcement of the first case in Indonesia using an event study research design. There is a significant difference in abnormal returns before and after the first case of COVID-19 patients in Indonesia was announced.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic occurred nowadays has resulted in many employees resigning due to discomfort at work. Therefore, every company needs to carry out an employee relations program to increase employee’s loyalty, especially during this pandemic. The aim of this study is to determine the employee’s loyalty which was formed by the implementation of the employee relations program carried out by Public Relations using new media during the pandemic. Data collection is done by conducting observations, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study shows that there are five forms of employee relations programs done to increase employee’s loyalty, among others, education and training programs, outstanding work motivation programs, award programs, special event programs, and internal communication media programs. The success of those employee relations program are shown by a decrease in the percentage of employee resignation, from 40% to 20% in one year. Evidence of employee’s loyalty formed by the employee relations program can also be seen from several attitudes and actions of employees that include obedience and compliance, responsibility, willingness to cooperate, sense of belonging, interpersonal relationships, and fondness for work. In addition, personal touch to employees has the greatest impact to increase employee’s loyalty to the Company.

Abstract

The phenomenon of declining purchasing decisions can be seen from the fact that sales targets have not been achieved, product quality is not good, prices are not competitive, and promotional strategies are not yet attractive. This study aims to analyze the contribution of product quality, price, and promotion factors to the purchase decision of Toyota Innova at PT Perintis Perkasa. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. This study involved a sample of 131 consumers who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by providing an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. In addition to questionnaires, data were also collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the significance obtained was 0.001 (Sig < 0.05). These results indicate that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that, partially and simultaneously, product quality, price, and promotion have a positive and significant contribution to purchasing a car with the Toyota Innova brand at PT Perintis Perkasa.

Abstract

Customer loyalty can be influenced by several factors, including service quality, pricing, and digital marketing. This study analyzes the effect of service quality, pricing, and digital marketing on IndiHome Fiber customer loyalty. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. The population in this study amounted to 16,453 people who are consumers of IndiHome Fiber. Sampling was done by purposive sampling to obtain a sample of 99 people. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to each sample. The data collected analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Analysis prerequisite tests previously preceded it in normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The results of data analysis showed that t-count (3.129) > t-table (1.98525) and -score (0.002) < (0.05), Pricing has a positive and significant score on customer loyalty. It is known that t-count (6.434) > t-table (1.98525) and -score (0.000) < (0.05), Digital Marketing has a positive and significant score on customer loyalty. It is known that t-count (3.720) > t-table (1.98525) and -score (0.000) < (0.05), as well as service quality, pricing, and digital marketing, are simultaneously significant positive on customer loyalty. It is known that F-count (93.612) > F-table (2.70) and -score (0.000) < (0.05). Based on these results, it can be concluded that, partially and simultaneously, service quality, pricing, and digital marketing have a positive and significant influence on IndiHome Fiber customer loyalty.

Abstract

Research on the impact of ownership structure on related party transactions carried out by companies gives varied results. Moreover, this research still rarely uses a sample of the financial industry in Indonesia. So, the study aimed to find out block holder ownership effect on tunnelling or propping related party transactions in financial industries in Indonesia. Sample research were 82 financial industries that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2017-2019 with 246 observations as panel data. Based on panel data regression test, this study found block holder ownership had positive effects on tunnelling related party transactions that proxied by related party transactions related to accounts receivable and related party transactions related to assets other than account receivables.  Meanwhile, blockholder ownership had no effect on propping related party transactions that proxied by related party transactions related to accounts payable and liabilities other than accounts payable. The study also found blockholder ownership effect on tunnelling related party transactions was bigger than propping. These findings were appropriate with the relevant agency theory about blockholder ownership effect on related party transactions which had the potency on the emergence of agency conflict among the shareholders.
