Abstract

Abstract- The present study aims to examine the idea of supply chain management in the financial institutions like banks in the region of Russia. Currently, the banking sector of Russia is showing a steady improvement in key indicators - the cost of borrowing is declining, the lending to the national economy is expanding, household deposits are growing, and profits are increasing. However, the challenges of banking intensify every year. There are different views on the strategic fundamentals of banking development among the specialists and leaders of the banking sector. Particular emphasis is placed on new financial platforms and related ecosystems, focused on e-commerce and logistics priorities. This will require the development of new forms of organization, supply chain management, supervisory and regulatory control. The preservation of banking business potential requires the implementation of a long-term competitive strategy, which goes far beyond the financial sector.

Abstract

Successful implementation of supply-chain management in a developing country such as Malaysia is considered a major challenge due to lack of awareness and unclear missions and goals. Focusing on this idea, this article compares the ranking of various demographic groups in relation to the internal and external barriers experienced by Malaysian manufacturing companies. The identified lists of internal and external barriers are prioritised using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Ten respondents with wide ranging experience in SCM provided the necessary information in the prioritisation exercise. The ranking of the respondents from different races, age groups, education levels, employment types, work experience and designations suggests significant variations between these groups in the ranking of the internal and external barriers. The findings of this research provide important information to company managers who desire to implement SCM in a multi-cultural setting such as Malaysia. The onus is on these managers to be cautious in developing a strategic plan for its effective implementation and also in designing programs to overcome SCM obstacles.

The halal food industry is vital to the world wide muslim consumers to ensure the food they consumed, use and purchase are hygienic, clean and not harmful to health. Muslim is the largest group in Malaysia with 61.3% from total population. Thus, having halal products are important in Malaysia. However, halal is not just for the muslim, the process of producing halal product may well benefit non muslim all around the world. Therefore, the markets for halal product are huge beyond the consumption of Malaysian population. But the capabilities of exporting halal products among small and micro enterprises in Malaysia are still weak. Therefore, this research intends to study the motivational factors that influence or hinders halal certification adoption among small and micro companies. It is designed to investigate the connection between motivational factors towards halal certification adoption, to study if expected competitiveness affects halal certification adoption, and to what extent top management commitment impacts the halal certification adoption. This study could add knowledge and help government in introducing policy to encourage these companies to embark in the halal journey.

Abstract

Abstract-  Extensive literature is available on supply chain performance (SCP). “Most of the studies examined the relationship between SCP and firm performance in both developed as well as developing countries. However, researchers did not consider the effect of SCP on economic growth, particularly in Indonesian prospective. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the role of supply chain performance in the economic growth of Indonesia. To address the objective, data were collected from Indonesian economists. E mail survey was used, and questionnaires were distributed to collect the data. A total number of seven hypotheses were tested with the help of the structural equation modeling technique. The finding shows that inflation has an influence on SCP. Increases in inflation decrease the SCP. Moreover, investment growth rate and population growth rate also have an effect on SCP which has a contribution to the economic growth of Indonesia. Thus, the Indonesian government must boost supply chain to enhance economic growth.

Abstract

The article discusses the problem of supply chain management in economy of Russian Federation. The institutional analysis revealed a trend towards the restoration of the supply chain management system that operated during the Soviet period on the basis of a transition to the manual economy management mode. The modern system of supply chain management of Russia has a number of differences from the Soviet model such as market pricing and distribution channels of the product, and it designed to implement the policy of import substitution in the Russian economy. The state corporation was chosen as the most appropriate organizational form to solve amassed structural problems. High risks of investing to the Russian economy, insecurity of private property rights, monopolization of certain sectors of the economy are creating an unfavorable institutional environment for business. Under these conditions, instead of expanding and encouraging the activities of private entrepreneurs, the state chose a different way to solve the structural problems of the Russian economy - withdrawing funds through taxes and distributing them through budgets of all levels to state corporations that are headed by the persons closest to power. The article shows that this path led to the restoration of the supply chain management system that was very characteristic to the Soviet economy. Since the experience of such management turned out to be negative, its repetition in the new market conditions is unlikely to bring a positive result, however, the governmentâ??s strategy does not provide for the possibility of replacing budget investments with private ones, as a result of which budget investments increasingly dominate, private investments are reduced, capital outflow is increasing, and the economy remains inefficient.

Abstract

Abstract- In transitioning economy country, doing business in international environment is hard. One of sample is Enove as multinational company focused on energy sectors in Tunisia, whereas the country isfacing political instability, corruption, and emerging economy from arevolutionizing country. The options for them is to either relocate to anothercountry, and practically abandoning their current business or to stay in Tunisia, embracing all factors of advantage and disadvantage. The advantage for Enove inTunisia is that its labor is well trained and has low labor cost. The disadvantagesare that Tunisiaâ??s government is filled with corruption. This study shows after analyzing the SWOT and PESTEL factors of both options, Enove is better off tostay in Tunisia. Enove can still thrive without engaging in corruption and do costcutting by not opening new manufacturing facility, but divide their inventories forboth foreign and domestic customers. Enove should also take the chance ofbecoming Tunisiaâ??s pioneering producer and getting the first moverâ??s advantagethere.
