Abstract

The study is planned to examine the impact of entrepreneur innovation and learning orientation on the global purchasing of firms in the five biggest import industries of Thailand. To have a more detailed insight the study has incorporated the two factors from environmental turbulence namely market turbulence, and technological turbulence as moderator. The study has used the PLS-SEM to answer the research questions. PLS-SEM has become an advanced alternative to previous co-variance approaches because of its unique features and abilities. PLS-SEM technique is the widely adopted approach and it has gained huge recognition among the researchers. The findings of the study have provided me the support to the hypotheses result. From the findings it has been found by this study that the organizations, which operate in environment with technological turbulence, possess a strong association between entrepreneurial innovation and learning orientation as compared to less turbulent organizations. There is need for managers to be aware of the level of technological change, which affects the influence of innovation and learning on purchasing performance. There is need for managers to emphasize on learning while operating in highly turbulent technological environment to foster innovation by developing long-term associations with suppliers.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between cost management tools and pricing policies to improve the price of potable water which helps cover production costs on the one hand and rationalize the consumption of the product on the other. This is done by utilizing the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and Value Chain Analysis (VCA) to fix cost and price of potable water at Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Water Directorate based on information collected from documents and reports pertaining to the Directorate, as well as field visits and face-to-face interviews with a number of officials in the departments of water purification projects. The study designs the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and integrates its output with value chain analysis to improve the tariff of potable water in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Water Directorate takes into account the different social and consumption level of citizens on one hand and covering the cost of the institution and reduction of consumption on the other hand. Themes and subthemes are based on definitions of cost management tools and pricing policies in government institutions are adapted and quoted from various scientific sources. The basic findings of the study highlighted that the system used by the Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Water Directorate to fix potable water price according to the number of rooms does not give an accurate picture of actual consumption and costs for each product, as the Directorate has two products: pure water and (Reverse Osmosis RO). The total cost used to calculating and distributing production costs for both products with equal loading for both products without taking into account the cost of activities consumed in the production of each product separately, while the pricing of pure water using the value chain is consistent with consumer needs and their financial ability as they represent different segments of the society, through pricing to recover part of the costs represented by the value chain links according to segments of society.

Abstract

The rapid development of computer information technologies affected all spheres of human life. Therewith, unlawful distortion, falsification, destruction or disclosure of some information, as well as disorganization of information processing and transmission, cause serious material and moral damage to many subjects involved in the automated information interaction. The purpose of this research is to analyze the problems of economic security in distributed software development. In the legal practice of foreign countries, protection of computer programs is a controversial issue. This study involves a numerical analysis of the relationship between the International Property Rights Index (IPRI) and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development Index. The analysis also touched upon the informal impact on economic security in the field of information and communication technologies. The correlation between the International Property Rights Index (IPRI) and the ICT Development Index (IDI) across countries is between 0.32 and 0.52. In the USA, Germany, Belgium, India, the correlation between the growth rate of IDI and the growth rate of IPRI is negative due to the high growth rates of IDI over striding the growth rates of IPRI. This article offers an innovative approach to the organization of block chain-based software development.

Abstract

Abstract- This study is aimed at analyzing the predictor variables used to predict the performance of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, from 2000 to 2017 by using supply chain strategies. The predictor variables used in this research are as follows: Operational Income Operational Costs (BOPO), Market Ratio of Earning Per Share (Share EPS), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). While the financial performance was measured using Return On Assets (ROA) with panel data analysis used to examine the model. The results showed that Operational Costs Operating Income (BOPO), Market Ratio of Earning Per Share (EPS), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), simultaneously affected the Return On Assets (ROA) of banks listed on the IDX. It was also able to cover the gaps of previous researches by extending the research time and multiplying predictor variables used in detecting banking performance. The study concluded there is a positive strong relationship between performance and the independent variables as shown by the Pearson?s co-efficient correlation which is significant as indicated by the P-value at 95% level of confidence. There are various determinants of supply chain performance that contributes to efficient and effective performance of supply chain in the organization namely ICT, knowledge and information sharing, trust, culture and joint decision making

Abstract

Abstract: Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a method that is frequently applied by business researchers to assess empirically new theoretical proposals articulated by means of complex models. Hence in this study SEM was engaged to scrutinize the impact of SCM practices on the performance of higher education in Malaysia. Firstly, the SCM practices survey was designed to investigate the main factors which influence supply chain practices in universities in Malaysia. Amongst the pool of constructs include: customer relationship, supplier relationship, information technology, information sharing, and innovation. Next, based on the SEM, the intensities of SCM practices of the universities were quantified in accordance with those constructs. The findings were supported by empirical evidence, as the study established that only information sharing and information technology had a significant positive relationship and impact on the universities performance. This paper provides a greater understanding of the interactions between the key elements of SCM practices associated with university performance and their impact on universities in Malaysia. Keywords: SEM, SCM practices, constructs, University Performance.
