Abstract

Market mechanism of agricultural products which is currently applied is based on green economy. Green economy is also run in a farm of Aloe Vera in Pontianak. This study aims to analyze performance factors of Aloe Vera’s value chain as a green product in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Value chain is analyzed using SEM analysis (Structural Equation Modelling). This research employs multi-stage sampling method and the samples include farmers, traders, consumers, and policy makers (110 respondents). The results showed that coefficient value was positive, indicating that if there is an increase of attention in value chain, farm performance will improve. In this study, financial performance is measured by return on equity (ROE). The population and sample consists of 20 government companies in Indonesian Public Listed. The period of this study is from 2013 to 2017. The results showed the GOV and INSIDER variables have an effect on ROE while the Dbank variable does not affect the company's financial performance. GOV negative influence on ROE. This shows government political motives. In addition, government-owned companies may have lower profits because they finance a project that does not bring financial gain but brings social benefits. INSIDER positive influence on ROE. Abstract

Conflict communication among developer and their team at all times happened due to limited financial information. A developer does not automatically construct a unit that will convince the recipients since they have their own viewpoint and mind of their needs, objectives, obstructions, and necessities of economic aspect. A decision is very hard to be made on the housing unit since the recipients have variance on numerous economic issues. This paper aims to identify the economic decision making information for housing development at the initiation phase in Malaysia. Delphi method is implemented in 3 rounds using a questionnaire survey which involved 34 private developers for data collection purposes. The finding shows that authority policies, a market of housing and timing (life cycle of a project) are most necessary information in the economic part. All of the economic information also illustrates that they are crucial and key factors in the decision-making process. Abstract

An increasing demand for residential housing has been a debate globally due to rapid economic development, particularly in Malaysia. The housing price appreciation showed steep increase both in urban and rural areas. Therefore, most of the people are afraid that they are unable to cope with such a high property prices. Even with the housing prices almost hitting the sky, yet the real factors as well as its causal effects are still open to question. Thus, this paper presents a system dynamics model of housing prices in Malaysia to identify the causality among related factors. The model expects the rising of population and strong growth in inflation in the long run that will affect housing prices significantly. As this dynamic model is expected to portray the main interacting variables, their causal effects can provide guideline for better intervention measures, in particular for the policy improvement in near future.

Abstract

today, cities become centers of entrepreneurial activity and innovation development, the main driving force. Business chooses the territory where there are the best conditions for the development and further successful functioning, as well as guarantees of profit. It can be achieved by the human resource management based on the supply chain strategies. That is why large cities nowadays are becoming competitors for the most successful entrepreneurs. Attracting business directly depends on the effective use of the full potential of the city territory, as well as on designing the effective municipal policy for attracting business, taking into account city’s strengths and weaknesses. In order to evaluate city attractiveness for business in Russia the authors collected a database consisting of a set of indicators over a period of five years (2013-2017). A comprehensive and detailed evaluation of each of the indicators made it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each selected city and compare the data obtained by translating the values into indices. It allows us not to focus on the study of each city in isolation, but to compare them with each other, to reveal competitive advantages. Based on the integral index of business attractiveness, the following groups of Russian cities are distinguished: cities leading for business attractiveness (Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan), cities middling for business attractiveness (Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Perm, Novosibirsk, Samara, Chelyabinsk), cities-outsiders for business attractiveness (Voronezh, Volgograd, Omsk).
