Abstract

In the past several decades, Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) has been rapidly evolving in academia and industry and investigation in all countries and nation growing dramatically. The significant impact of GSCM is visible by the rate of academic publications in recent years. With the increased attention paid to environmental aspects of green supply chain management, finding new directions by critically evaluating the research and identifying future directions becomes important in advancing knowledge for the field. Both Qualitative and quantitative are applied to examine global scientific production of green supply chain management in Science Citation Index (SCI-Index) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI-Index) documents to develop a viable green supply chain study. The analytical results of this study illustrate the study evolution over time and eventually provide a systematic mapping of the field that helps to identify of research interests and potential directions for future research.

Abstract

At present, Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) industries target wholesale dealers and not the retailers for supplying their finished goods. The reasons for this being: a) Dealers are fewer in numbers and hence net distance travelled per shipment is less b) Dealers tend to demand higher lot sizes, thereby decreasing overall cost of transportation per unit for the product. This work presents a supply chain strategy to use retailer based distribution by solving both the issues by a) using the concept of milk runs by taking analogy of Travelling Salesman Problem to decrease transportation cost and b) applying time bound marginal discount utility to solve the issue of low lot sizes. A case study has been prepared based on field experiences of middle level FMEG industry for its four popular consumer products. It presents application of travelling salesman problem (TSP) algorithm to make efficient milk runs. Also, concept of time bound marginal discount utility solution is proposed to find an optimum discount price to optimize the transportation cost and revenues. The paper compares this proposed supply chain strategy with manufacturer to dealer model and manufacturer to retailer model with various combinations.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the current research relationship between green supply chain management practices, supply chain integration and the manufacturing firms performances in Malaysia. Also, to improves the conceptual knowledge by compare and contrast the relationship between each dimension. The study thoroughly analyzes, reviews and explains each dimension in detail and their relationships from various previous literature perspectives. The paper is one of the first to identify and discuss conceptually the use of green supply chain management practices and supply chain integration in measuring the manufacturing performance in a single setting in a developing country.

Abstract

In the recent decade, with the increase in e-logistic services, the problem of e-logistic customer satisfaction is raised. E-logistic services spread so rapidly worldwide which overlook the significant segment of customer satisfaction. Therefore, the prime objective of the current research study is to develop a comprehensive framework for e-logistics customer satisfaction. Various studies highlighted the area of e-logistic customer satisfaction, however, in a rare case, literature formally documented the problem of e-logistic customer satisfaction. Hence, less attention has been paid to the aspect of customer satisfaction in e-logistic. To address this gap, four hypotheses are proposed concerning the relationship of e-payment, e-traceability, website design with information communication technology (ICT) and e-logistic customer satisfaction. By using the convenience sampling technique, 500 questionnaires were distributed among the e-logistic users. The results of the current study found that e-payment, e-traceability, and website design has a significant positive relationship with ICT and ICT has a significant positive relationship with e-logistic customer satisfaction. This study is contributing to the body of knowledge by developing a comprehensive framework to solve various e-logistic problems. Hence, the current study is helpful for e-logistic companies to mitigate e-logistic customer satisfaction problems.

Abstract

the success of the supply chain depends upon the ability to adjust theinterests of various stakeholders of the supply chain members, which is has become a necessity to maintain a competitive advantage in a dynamic environment. SCO affects not only the single firm performance within the supply chain but also the overall performance of the supply chain.Drawing on RBV this study seek to investigate the mediating effect of value co-creation on the relationship between Structural Supply chain orientation and marketing adaptiveness of industrial firms in sudan. the study collected a data from non probability sample of 180 manufacturing firms, This study applies structural equation modelling (SEM) method for data analysis using The result indicates. That both Cooperative Norms and value co-creation significantly contribute to the marketing adaptiveness , also credibility have significance effect on value co-creation . The finding also suggests that value co-creation partially mediates the relationship between structural supply chain orientation(credibility) and marketing adaptiveness. Moreover industrial firms can more adaptability in marketing by maintaining and developing cooperative norms and participating partners in the process of creating value Key Words: Supply chain orientation, Structural SCO, Value co-creation, marketing adaptiveness

Abstract

Supply chain (SC) is increasingly recognized as an important factor for improving business performance. Because of that, the SC activities need to be optimized and this can be done through the supply chain management (SCM). This study has three key objectives: to reveal the influence of government policy in terms of supervision, to check the reliability of distribution and innovation factors on the execution of the SCM of subsidized fertilizer in Indonesia. A sum of 800 questionnaire have been spread to the test site and a number of 587 or 73% successfully returned. Furthermore, the data from 513 respondents, or 64% of the spread, was analyzed by statistical software Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings from this study shows that the government policy in terms of supervision and the reliability of the appropriation has immediate and critical impact on execution SCM of subsidized fertilizer. However although there is no immediate impact on the execution of SCM, factor of innovation plays a significant role because it determines the success of supervision and reliability of the distribution. Moreover, this supervision factor and the reliability of the distribution act as a mediator between the factors of innovation with the full performance of SCM. To improve the performance of SCM of subsidized fertilizer in Indonesia, this research suggests that the government pays attention to supervision, the reliability of the distribution as well as innovation factors. Due to that, the distribution of fertilizer will be more suited to its purpose at the right time with the appropriate location, type, quantity and the right quality, and at an appropriate price. In future research, the same study could be utilized for other subsidized commodities.

Abstract

Malaysia as a developing country, is driving for implementing a new or modern construction method called Industrialised Building System (IBS), as an alternative towards enhancing construction productivity. The level of implementation of IBS however is still below the Government target. One of the key barriers of its implementation is related to project delivery and supply chain issues. The majority of IBS project developments in Malaysia are still conducted using the traditional construction process approach, which has resulted in a failure to form effective teams and thus impacted on a number of issues such as delay, wastages, and lack of communication and coordination. This paper, through the use of industry workshops, aims to validate this issue and investigate how far it affects the process of IBS implementation. Suggestions on how an integrated approach in design and construction in order to minimise the fragmentation gaps will be concluded.

Abstract

The present prerequisites for transport benefit providers are consistency and unwavering quality. Cost has no importance without a measure of value. Without satisfactory measures of value, business floats to the most reduced bidder, low quality and high cost being the inescapable outcomes. Rather, the association should look for the best quality in a long haul association with a solitary provider for just a single thing. The aftereffects of actualizing this system are longer enduring things and more prominent quality administration at no extra cost. Transport organizations should choose providers that can give factual proof of value. Since transport associations tend to think about their providers as "accomplices" in their operations, they should consider joint getting ready for change and joint change exercises to serve clients superior to their rivals.

Abstract

The availability of spare parts is very crucial to enable the maintenance tasks to be performed when required. Although failures occur at random, a certain amount of spare parts should be available to minimize the downtime required for repairing or replacing the failed items. Particularly when preventive maintenance is involved, spare parts may be needed to replace the defective but still working plant items. Thus, spare parts and planned maintenance are significantly related and should be studied together. By implementing the delay time concept, this study focus on periodic order policy and simultaneously optimize three decisions problems, namely inspection interval, order interval and maximum stock level. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the ability of the model.
