This article discusses the implications of fostering church youth on the factors that cause cases of pregnancy out of wedlock. The author uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, and interviews, then in compiling the implications of the author using relevant library sources. The results showed that the factors causing cases of pregnancy out of wedlock are the lack of attention and supervision of parents, then the free association of youth, lack of self-fortification, lack of sexual knowledge, and technological developments that facilitate access to negative sexual information. The implication for church youth coaching is that holistic coaching is needed for both youth and parents. Coaching can be done by organizing groups to grow together, Christian faith seminars, personal care and making catechism curriculum on sexuality. Artikel ini membahas tentang implikasi pembinaan pemuda gereja atas faktor-faktor penyebab kasus hamil di luar nikah. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, dan wawancara, kemudian dalam menyusun implikasi penulis menggunakan sumber-sumber pustaka relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya kasus hamil di luar nikah adalah kurangnya perhatian dan pengawasan orang tua, kemudian pergaulan bebas pemuda, kurangnya pembentengan diri, minimnya pengetahuan seksual, dan perkembangan teknologi yang memudahkan akses informasi negatif seksual. Implikasi bagi pembinaan pemuda gereja adalah perlu dilaksanakan pembinaan yang holistik baik pada pemuda maupun orangtua. Pembinaan dapat dilaksanakan dengan menyelenggarakan kelompok tumbuh bersama, seminar iman Kristen, personal care dan pembuatan kurikulum katekisasi tentang seksualitas.

The Lord's Supper is one of the sacraments of the church and is an important part of the Christian liturgy. The author conducts research on the meaning of the Holy Communion so that he can find pedagogical implications in the Holy Communion. The research used is a literature analysis approach that uses various relevant literature sources. The pedagogical implications of the Lord's Supper concern the past, present and future. The meaning of the past means that the Lord's Supper is a reminder of Christ's sacrifice for believers. Today means that the Lord's Supper means sharing in enjoying the benefits of Christ’s death and fellowship with the members of the body of Christ, even Christ himself. The meaning of the future means that the Holy Communion is a guarantee of enjoying the Kingdom of Heaven and the great supper in the future. The Lord's Supper is an expression of hope for His return. Christ Jesus is the sure hope. Practically speaking, Holy Communion reminds us of the importance of fellowship with fellow members of the body of Christ. ABSTRAKPerjamuan Kudus merupakan salah satu sakramen gereja dan menjadi bagian penting dalam liturgi Kristen. Penulis melakukan penelitian terhadap makna perjamuan kudus sehingga dapat menemukan implikasi pedagogis dalam perjamuan kudus. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan analisis pustaka yang menggunakan berbagai sumber pustaka relevan. Implikasi pedagogis Perjamuan Kudus menyangkut masa lalu, masa kini dan masa yang akan datang. Makna masa lalu berarti bahwa Perjamuan Kudus merupakan peringatan pengorbanan Kristus bagi orang percaya. Masa kini berarti bahwa Perjamuan Kudus memiliki makna keikutsetaan menikmati keuntungan kematian Kristus serta persekutuan dengan anggota tubuh Kristus, bahkan Kristus sendiri. Makna masa yang akan datang berarti bahwa Perjamuan Kudus menjadi jaminan menikmati Kerajaan Sorga dan perjamuan agung di masa yang akan datang. Perjamuan Kudus merupakan perwujudan pengharapan akan kedatangan-Nya kembali. Kristus Yesus adalah pengharapan yang pasti. Secara praktis, Perjamuan Kudus mengingatkan tentang pentingnya persekutuan dengan sesama anggota tubuh Kristus.

It is really love as strong as death? Exegesis Song of Songs 8:6-7and its relevance. Start from the phenomenon of wealth strength that is able to ' buy love ', the author questioned the truth of the statement 'for love is strong as death' in the book of Song of Songs 8:6-7 which is then analyzed by focusing on the lexicon, context, and syntax of grammar The Hebrew language and compare it to the existing interpretation. The results of the analysis show that Love is something universal included in its erotics love. The nature of Love is described as an extreme force that pushes a person in a positive direction but also negative. Love can build but also tear down. The power of love is confronted with the power of nature and treasures as a challenge as well as proving the power of love. Love with its paradoxical force of extremes can be overcome by the ratification of relationships. The text of the Song of Songs 8:6-7 raises the extreme power of strong love like death, but most of the interpretations are then supported by mystical and materialistic powers to make love ' not ' strong like death ABSTRAKBenarkah Cinta Kuat seperti Maut? Berangkat dari fenomena kekuatan harta yang mampu ‘membeli cinta’, penulis mempertanyakan kebenaran pernyataan ‘karena cinta kuat seperti maut’ dalam kitab Kidung Agung 8:6-7 yang kemudian dianalisis dengan berfokus pada leksikon, konteks, dan sintaks tata bahasa Ibrani serta membandingkannya dengan penafsiran yang telah ada. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa cinta adalah sesuatu yang universal termasuk di dalamnya cinta erotis. Sifat cinta digambarkan sebagai suatu kekuatan ekstrim yang mendorong seseorang ke arah yang positif tetapi juga negatif. Cinta dapat membangun tetapi juga meruntuhkan. Kekuatan cinta diperhadapkan dengan kekuatan alam dan harta sebagai tantangan sekaligus sebagai pembuktian kekuatan cinta. Cinta dengan kekuatan ekstrimnya yang paradoks dapat diatasi dengan pengesahan hubungan. Teks KA 8:6-7 mengemukakan kekuatan ekstrim cinta yang kuat seperti maut, namun sebagian besar penafsiran yang kemudian didukung oleh kekuatan mistis dan materialistik menjadikan cinta ‘tidak’ kuat seperti maut.

Assessment as a component of learning in Sunday schools plays an important role as a measure of success in achieving Sunday school goals. Without an assessment, parents, the church, Sunday school teachers, children cannot know the extent of their success in learning in the Sunday school. This paper tries to highlight aspects of assessment in Sunday school, specifically to the factors related to the use of test-based assessment techniques that can be used in the learning process in Sunday school. It is expected that by examining the factors related to the use of test-based assessment techniques, Sunday school teachers can use them in Sunday school services that are conducted. The results of the study show that test-based assessment techniques used in Sunday schools need to pay attention to the competencies that are intended to be mastered by Sunday school children and the types of learning material delivered to Sunday school children. In addition to paying attention to aspects of competency and types of learning material, the selection of test-based assessment techniques in Sunday schools also needs to pay attention to aspects of the feasibility and economics. Penilaian sebagai salah satu komponen pembelajaran di Sekolah Minggu, memegang peranan yang penting sebagai alat ukur keberhasilan pencapaian tujuan Sekolah Minggu. Tanpa adanya penilaian maka orang tua, gereja, guru Sekolah Minggu, anak-anak tidak bisa mengetahui sejauhmana keberhasilan mereka menjalani proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Minggu. Tulisan ini mencoba menyoroti aspek penilaian di Sekolah Minggu, secara khusus kepada faktor-faktor yang terkait dengan penggunaan teknik penilaian berbasis test yang bisa digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Minggu. Diharapkan dengan dikajinya faktor-faktor terkait pengunaan teknik penilaian berbasis test maka guru-guru Sekolah Minggu dapat menggunakannya dalam pelayanan Sekolah Minggu yang dilakukan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa teknik penilaian berbasis test yang digunakan di Sekolah Minggu perlu memerhatikan kompetensi yang hendak dikuasai oleh anak Sekolah Minggu dan jenis materi pembelajaran yang disampaikan kepada anak Sekolah Minggu. Di samping perhatian terhadap aspek kompetensi dan jenis materi pembelajaran, pemilihan teknik penilaian berbasis test di Sekolah Minggu juga perlu memerhatikan aspek praktibilitas dan ekonomis.

The number of young people who fall into the trafficking of drugs is increasing. The phenomenon of the number of prisons and detention centers inhabited by people assisted by drug cases is no longer a secret. It is not uncommon for church youth to be counted on that number so that components of the Church such as pastors, assemblies, service activists, and other elements of society deserve to give a more serious portion of attention. Because the face of the future church cannot be separated from the Church Youth today. This research departs from this fact and the services of North Sumatra STT students at the Rehabilitation Center in Medan. More than fifteen years of experience in this area is worth exploring through field research. The method used is qualitative and with 28 people who are the objects of research from the Rehabilitation Center. Data were obtained from students who actively carry out mentoring services to Rehabilitation Institutions, Rehabilitation Institution Managers, and patient families from some of the objects (patients). The results show that there are five steps; understanding the counselee, giving loving help, the role of a father, and family prayer, provides a better change despite the variety of outcomes (cures) of people who have participated in the rehabilitation program. Pastoral care and the care of family or parents add to the healing process. This has something to do with spirituality and the pattern of pastoral Christian counseling services provided. But on the other hand, the formation of habits in serving students of the Theological College (STT) needs to be pursued through pastoral counseling services with assistance to people who are addicted and follow rehabilitation programs. ABSTRAKKaum muda yang terjerumus kepada penyalahgunaan narkoba dan obat-obatan semakin bertambah. Fenomena banyaknya Lapas dan Rutan dihuni oleh warga binaan kasus narkoba bukan rahasia lagi. Tidak jarang pula pemuda gereja yang terhitung pada bilangan itu sehingga komponen Gereja seperti pendeta, majelis, aktifis pelayanan dan elemen masyarakat lainnya patut untuk memberi porsi perhatian yang lebih serius. Sebab wajah gereja masa depan tidak terlepas dari Pemuda Gereja masa kini. Penelitian ini berangkat dari fakta tersebut dan pelayanan mahasiswa STT Sumatera Utara di Panti Rehabilitasi di Medan. Pengalaman lebih lima belas tahun pada bidang ini patut untuk ditelusuri melalui penelitian lapangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan dengan 28 orang yang menjadi objek penelitian dari Panti Rehabilitasi. Data diperoleh dari mahasiswa yang aktif melaksanakan pelayanan pendampingan ke Panti Rehabilitasi, Pengelolah Panti Rehabilitasi dan keluarga pasien dari sebagian objek (pasien). Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya lima langkah; memahami konseli, memberi pertolongan penuh kasih, peran Ayah, dan doa keluarga, memberikan perubahan yang lebih baik meski adanya keragaman outcome (kesembuhan) dari orang-orang yang pernah mengikuti program rehabilitasi tersebut. Pendampingan pastoral dan perhatian keluarga atau orang tua menambah daya proses penyembuhan. Hal ini ada sangkut pautnya dengan spiritualitas dan pola pelayanan pastoral konseling Kristen yang diberikan. Namun di sisi lain pembentukan kebiasaan dalam melayani bagi mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) perlu diupayakan melalui pelayanan pastoral konseling dengan pendampingan kepada orang-orang yang kecanduan dan mengikuti program rehabilitasi.

Provisions and implementation of the death penalty, is a serious and very severe law for perpetrators who are considered to have committed serious and serious violations before the law. The Indonesian state still holds and carries out such a death sentence, as regulated in the Criminal Code. There are three stages in the Bible regarding the provisions and execution of the death penalty: (1) The death penalty applies to people who sin directly to God, such as worshiping idols, turning to the spirits of the dead, chanting the name of God carelessly and not keeping the Sabbath day holy, (2 ) The death penalty applies to people who commit sins against others such as killing and all the acts of adultery, and (3) The provisions and execution of the death penalty are null and void for anyone who is in faith and obedience to Christ. The task as a Christian and church law enforcer is to bring sinners to believe and be in fellowship with Christ. For "criminals" who deserve to be sentenced to death, according to the Criminal Code, it is recommended that they be sentenced to life in retribution for violations. In this way, "criminals" are given the opportunity to be rehabilitated and reconstructed by Christ and His church, through Faith in Christ and His atonement work. So the point is that, the provisions and implementation of the death penalty must be canceled and replaced with life sentences. In such a sentence, "prisoners" only need to trust and obey Christ for the rest of their lives. This is called the Law of God's Grace. Ketentuan dan pelaksanaan hukuman mati, merupakan hukum yang serius dan sangat berat bagi para pelaku yang dianggap melakukan pelanggaran-pelanggaran serius dan berat di mata hukum. Negara Indonesia masih memegang dan melaksanakan hukuman mati seperti itu, sebagaimana diatur dalam Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP). Di dalam Alkitab terdapat tiga tahapan tentang ketentuan dan pelaksanaan hukuman mati: (1) Hukuman mati diberlakukan kepada orang yang berdosa langsung kepada Allah, seperti menyembah berhala, berpaling kepada arwah orang mati, menyebut nama Tuhan dengan sembarangan dan tidak menguduskan hari sabat, (2) Hukuman mati diberlakukan bagi orang yang melakukan dosa terhadap sesama seperti membunuh dan semua perbuatan zinah, dan (3) Ketentuan dan pelaksanaan hukuman mati batal dan tidak berlaku lagi bagi siapapun yang berada di dalam iman dan ketaatan kepada Kristus. Tugas sebagai penegak hukum Kristen dan gereja adalah membawa orang-orang berdosa supaya percaya dan berada di dalam persekutuan dengan Kristus. Bagi “para penjahat” yang patut dihukum mati, sesuai dengan KUHP, disarankan supaya dihukum seumur hidup saja sebagai retribusi atas pelanggaran yang dilakukan. Dengan cara demikian, “para pelaku kriminal” diberi kesempatan untuk direhabilitasi dan direkonstruksi oleh Kristus dan gereja-Nya, melalui Iman kepada Kristus dan karya pendamaian-Nya. Jadi intinya adalah bahwa, ketentuan dan pelaksanaan hukuman mati harus batal dan diganti dengan hukuman seumur hidup. Dalam status hukuman seperti itu, “para narapidana” hanya perlu percaya dan taat kepada Kristus selama sisa hidup yang masih ada. Inilah namanya Hukum Kasih Karunia Allah.

Christian Worldview is the way we see Christianity as a complete unity that hooks up with each other. Every human being has a worldview that consciously or not, affects the beliefs of life. This fundamental thing is not easy to understand but it controls all aspects of human life. In the midst of a changing modern world it proves how Christian worldview becomes the antithesis of secular worldview and other religions. This research explains the problem and is associated with church callings. These problems raise various conflicts of ideas and beliefs that affect each other. On the one hand the church has a calling to be salt and light of the world. On the other hand, the church is also commanded to not be similar to the world. The purpose of this research is to show how the philosophical concept of Christianity as a way of church views can play a significant role for the church calling, so that the church can distinguish and know the values that influence another worldview. By utilizing a philosophical-systematic approach it produces answers to research questions. An approach with Christian worldview is able to encourage the church to proclaim the truth in every aspect of life effectively and provide the right perspective for the belivers in the modern age to be a means of God's mission.

Social change is an inevitable conversation. Everyone needs to be prepared for social change. Likewise for church members, they need to be prepared for social change and there must be a pastoral pedagogical task in preparing church people for social change. The author conducts research by analyzing literature analysis to examine the issue. To prepare church members for social change, a pastor needs to conduct coaching that emphasizes Christian beliefs, so that these beliefs can be demonstrated in daily life. Then the second pedagogical task is the value of trust in church members. Human needs in the era of society 5.0 are strengthening the value of consideration and understanding in this context based on Christian principles. Gospel communication can fade because of the challenges of the times, but opposes social change in the era of the 5.0 shepherd community in support of providing guidance that leads to gospel communication. Church members need to be equipped to be able to communicate the gospel in the midst of a Christian perspective. Perubahan sosial adalah sebuah situasi yang tidak bisa dihindari. Setiap orang perlu dipersiapkan dalam menghadapi perubahan sosial. Demikian pula bagi warga gereja, mereka perlu dipersiapkan untuk menghadapi perubahan sosial dan tentunya ada tugas pedagogis gembala dalam menyiapkan warga gereja untuk meghadapi perubahan sosial. Penulis melakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan analisis literatur untuk mengkaji isu tersebut. Untuk mempersiapkan warga gereja menghadapi perubahan sosial seorang gembala perlu melakukan pembinaan yang menekankan pada penguatan keyakinan iman Kristen, sehingga keyakinan tersebut dapat didemonstrasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemudian tugas pedagogis kedua adalah memperkuat nilai kemanusiaan pada warga gereja. Kebutuhan manusia di era masyarakat 5.0 adalah penguatan nilai kemanusiaan dan tentunya dalam konteks ini berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip kekristenan. Komunikasi injil dapat memudar karena tantangan zaman, tetapi menghadapi perubahan sosial di era masyarakat 5.0 gembala berperan untuk memberikan pembinaan yang mengarah pada komunikasi Injil. Warga gereja perlu diperlengkapi untuk dapat mengomunikasikan Injil di tengah perubahan cara pandang tentang kekristenan.

Honoring parents is a commandment from God that all mankind must carry out. This study aims to determine the true meaning of honouring parents and what practical action looks like. To answer the formulation of this problem, the researchers used a research method with a qualitative approach, namely, a method that looks for a deep meaning about the text, and extracts from several books or journals related to the problem. From the results of the discussion, honour for parents is an attitude that must be carried out throughout life through obedience, not insulting or criticizing and don't say harshly, as well as an attitude that nurtures, cares for and meets their needs. And God's promise for those who keep this law is a long life, happiness and a good condition, namely prosperity physically and spiritually. ABSTRAKMenghormati orang tua adalah perintah Tuhan yang harus dilaksanakan oleh semua umat manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui arti yang sebenarnya secara biblika dari menghormati orang tua dan seperti apa tindakan praktisnya. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah ini, maka peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu, metode yang mencari arti yang mendalam tentang teks, dan menggali dari beberapa buku atau jurnal yang berkaitan dengan masalah tersebut. Dari hasil pembahasan maka menghormati orang tua merupakan sikap yang harus dilakukan sepanjang umur hidup melalui sikap taat, tidak menghina atau mencela dan tidak berkata kasar, juga sikap yang memelihara, merawat dan mencukupi kebutuhan mereka. Dan janji Tuhan bagi orang yang melaksanakan hukum ini adalah panjang umur, kebahagiaan dan memiliki keadaan baik yakni kemakmuran secara jasmani dan rohani.

The pros and cons of philosophy and theology have a reputation in the history of Chris-tianity. The importance of understanding philosophy and its importance can be explained correctly. Re-flections on the relationship between philosophy and theology will help Christians sharpen and develop their theology, especially evangelical theology. Therefore, philosophy and theology need to be har-moniously correlated in knowing God through His truth, by always thinking of God and advancing God's word through the perspective of evangelical theology. Philosophy and theology are mutually reinforcing and sharpening. Meanwhile, the relationships offered are mutually constructive in their task as a means of knowing God and also to build insight into the evangelical Christian world. Relasi pro dan kontra mengenai filsafat dan teologi telah tergores di dalam sejarah ke-kristenan. Pentingnya memahami filsafat dan teologi sangatlah penting, sehingga dapat merelasikan ke-duanya secara tepat. Refleksi terhadap relasi antara filsafat dan teologi akan membantu orang Kristen untuk menajamkan dan mengembangkan teologinya, khusus teologi injili. Oleh sebab itu, filsafat dan teologi perlu direlasikan secara harmonis di dalam mengenal Allah melalui kebenaran-Nya, dengan senantiasa bersikap takut akan Allah dan menghargai firman Allah melalui perspektif teologi injili.
