<![CDATA[Tiktok social media is one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world, excessive use of social media by teenagers will have a negative impact on academic performance at school, teenagers become lazy and irresponsible with their duties, resulting in teenagers not having time to study. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. A person's social behavior can be influenced during the learning process through motivation and influence from the surrounding environment. Peers can have an influence on the use of TikTok, from those who don't initially use TikTok to those who end up using TikTok. Teenagers with social media addiction are more likely to experience various negative problems including problems in social behavior.]]>

<![CDATA[Self Disclosure is one of the social skills that must be possessed, especially for overseas students. These social skills will give birth to social interactions that will create good psychosocial conditions in social relationships. This study aims to describe the level of self-disclosure of overseas students in the Guidance and Counseling study program at the Bukittinggi State Islamic University. This type of research includes a quantitative descriptive research instrument, namely the self-disclosure scale. The population in the study were guidance and counseling students from outside West Sumatra, totaling 43 people. Sampling was taken using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study revealed that the self-disclosure level of overseas students at Bukittinggi State Islamic University was in the moderate category with 65.11% while the highest self-disclosure aspect was in the aspect of cultural perception. Research findings based on gender reveal that female students are more open than male students, namely in the aspects of perception of culture, perception of gender, perception of listeners, and perception of topics while men are more open in aspects of self-knowledge.]]>

<![CDATA[Counseling becomes a necessity, because the essence of counseling is the help of an expert counselor given to someone to solve their problems. In providing these services, a counselor is governed by ethics, attitudes and personal qualities for the counselor to behave. Professional ethical values are very important in the helping profession. The code of ethics for counselors is established by the counselor professional institution. For the Indonesian territory, the code of ethics for counselors is determined by the Indonesian Counseling Guidance Association, which is abbreviated as ABKIN. A code of ethics is a guide or guideline for professional behavior or a moral foundation that is practiced, secured and upheld by counselors as members of professional organizations. The aim of this research is to describe the professional ethics of counselors in counseling guidance services in the digital era. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source comes from collecting documents in the form of books and previous research originating from various references. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that online counseling ethics takes the form of virtual counseling technology, websites, email, video conferences, instant messaging, computers and other social networks. Therefore, online counselors need to be professional in conducting virtual counseling by paying attention to ethics.]]>

Content analysis is used as the data analysis method. The research findings reveal that the implementation of guidance and counseling supervision experiences various dynamics such as mismatched qualifications of supervisors, inconsistency in conducting supervision, and lack of motivation and support in its implementation.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the influence of democratic parenting on the formation of children's character, the aim of which is for us to know what impacts the application of democratic parenting has on children, both good and bad. The author uses the literature observation method to summarize the results from various references which are then differentiated based on the type of research from each source used as a reference. In this context, democratic parenting patterns have positive and negative impacts on the formation of children's character, positive impacts include tolerance, independence, superior personality, the ability to share, respect for differences, and an attitude of not imposing the will of others. The impact of democratic parenting on children's social and emotional development includes children's ability to make friends easily, be willing to collaborate, show independence, and be willing to share. ant role of democratic parenting in shaping children’s character in a positive way.]]>

<![CDATA[Self-confidence influences the way a person interacts and communicates with other people. Confident people tend to build stronger relationships because they can express themselves without worrying about being rejected or criticized. Conversely, a lack of self-confidence can prevent a person from building healthy and mutually beneficial relationships. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication in class XI students. This research is quantitative research with 67 class XI vocational school students as research subjects. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Data collection in this study used a scale of self-confidence and interpersonal communication. The research data was analyzed using Kendall's Tau-b correlation with the help of an application IBM SPSS Statistic 23.0. The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication as evidenced by the obtained r value = 420 and p value = 0.000.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia faces serious challenges in terms of mental health, ranking fourth in mental health disorders and fifth in anxiety worldwide, according to the 2014 WHO report. This article highlights several factors that cause mental health disorders in teenagers in Indonesia. Firstly, parenting styles play an important role, with democratic parenting that supports children's freedom, harsh authoritarian parenting, and permissive parenting that lacks care, all having different impacts on adolescent development. Conflict and negative parenting styles are associated with an increased risk of depression. Second, inadequate living environments, such as densely populated areas and damaged houses, can affect adolescents' mental health. Third, socio-economic factors such as financial stability and demands for achievement also have a significant impact on the psychological well-being of adolescents. This means that a deep understanding of these factors is very important in efforts to improve the mental health of teenagers in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the phenomena found in Class II A prison in Sibolga which shows that inmates still have low emotional stability displayed by teenagers, such as being easily provoked by ridicule given by friends, and causing fights. Researchers are more focused on youth assisted residents in Class II A Sibolga Lapas. To increase the emotional stability of the assisted adolescents, one of the services in guidance and counseling is group guidance, which aims for researchers to find out the effect of group guidance services on the emotional stability of Class II A Sibolga prison residents. This study belongs to the Pre-Experimental Model One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The population in this study were 26 residents of Barus Prison. The technique used in sampling was the Non-Random Sampling technique, namely Purposive Sampling where sampling was taken based on certain considerations, the samples were Youth Assisted Residents of Class II A Sibolga Prison who were indicated to have low emotional stability, namely 9 inmates. The data collection instrument was the Likert Scale, data analysis used a non-parametric statistical test with the Wilcoxon signed rank test with the help of (SPSS) 24. The results show that the value of the Z test (Wilcoxon) shows the difference between pretest and posttest. The results of Wilcoxon calculations for the Z table value are -2.675b. based on the applicable provisions the Wilcoxon test results sig p value of 0.007 < α (α = 0.05) which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. From the results of the Wilcoxon test calculations, it can be concluded that there is an increase in emotional stability after being given group guidance services.]]>

<![CDATA[Elementary school students' learning disorders are a problem that must be addressed immediately. Bearing in mind that the development of elementary school level students is characterized by the ability to make sense of what they read, being able to rewrite it, and spelling. Children will usually begin to read fluently at the age of 6 to 7 years when they are in elementary school, first and second grade. However, the facts fieldwork shows that there is a small portion of students in first and second grade elementary schools who are not yet able to read fluently and some even do not yet know letters. Of course, this is a question for teachers and parents regarding this method of learning, and it turns out that this condition is Disturbances experienced by children when learning. The aim of this research is to help children who choose dyslexic learning groups, apply the Fernald method to children with dyslexia, and change dyslexic children using the Fernald method. The method used in this research is Single Subject Research (SSR), using the A-B-A research design, there is repetition. base line phase or condition, which describes two conditions, namely before the intervention is given and after the intervention.
