Basically every individual has a concept about himself. The concept which has been ingrained in each individual, would influence the behavior of that individuals in various aspects of their life including in facing the problems. Only a little of the students are able to solve the problem well. Sometimes to keep themselves right in a problem, they “form” defense mechanism. This research was conducted to reveal the correlation between self concept and defense mechanism of guidance and counseling students of IAIN Bukittinggi. The population was the entire of guidance and counseling students that concist of 452 students, and 102 samples. The data was collected by using questionnaire that was processed using product moment technique in SPSS 21.0 version. The result shown that there is a significant correlation between self-concept and defense mechanism in facing the problem with the r calculated was 0.433. The strength of the correlation between self-concept and defense mechanism of BK students of IAIN Bukittinggi are at moderate or sufficient.

Islam and counseling are two things that actually support each other in their practice. Islam states that counseling is a way to help each other between humans. Meanwhile, counseling uses Islam as an approach in counseling services. The Minangkabau community is one of the societies with a very strong Islamic maternal lineage. The purpose of this study was to reveal the appropriate counseling approach for use in the Minangkabau community with all its peculiarities. This research is a library research, where the data required in the research are obtained through analysis of various literatures in the library. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that in the matrilineal community in Minangkabau, counseling was still new and not very familiar. The material society in Minangkabau has a philosophy of life "adat basandi syara", syara "basandi Kitabullah, where the majority of the people adhere to Islam. The combination of Islam and counseling can pave the way for counseling to gain a place in the hearts of the material community in Minangkabau. It can be concluded that the Islamic approach to counseling is an effective solution for the application of counseling services to the Minangkabau community. Islam dan konseling merupakan dua hal yang sebenarnya saling mendukung dalam praktik penerapannya. Islam menyatakan bahwa konseling merupakan salah satu cara untuk saling membantu antar umat manusia. Sedangkan konseling memanfaatkan Islam sebagai salah satu pendekatan dalam pelayanan konseling. Masyarakat Minangkabau merupakan salah satu masyarakat dengan garis keturunan materilineal yang sangat kental keislamannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan pendekatan konseling yang tepat untuk digunakan pada masyarakat Minangkabau dengan segala kekhasannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka, dimana data-data yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian didapatkan melalui analisis terhadap berbagai literatur yang terdapat di perpustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terungkap bahwa pada masyarakat matrilineal di Minangkabau konseling masih merupakan hal yang baru dan belum begitu familiar. Masyarakat materilineal di Minangkabau memiliki falsafah hidup “adat basandi syara’, syara’ basandi kitabullah yang mayoritas masyarakatnya menganut agama Islam. Perpaduan Islam dengan konseling dapat membuka jalan agar konseling bisa mendapatkan tempat dalam hati masyarakat materilineal di Minangkabau. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Islam dalam konseling merupakan solusi efektif penerapan pelayanan konseling pada masyarakat Minangkabau.

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student self-resilience through ego approach group counseling services. This type of research is quantitative experiments. The research data were obtained through a Likert scale student resilience research instrument with five alternative answers. The research design used was One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The instrument validity was tested using the Product Moment formula, and the reliability test was performed using the Alpha formula. The instrument validity test results obtained valid instrument items 52 items and 13 items are invalid with a reliability coefficient of 0.951. Based on the results of the analysis of research data after getting treatment of the ego approach group counseling services, there was an increase in self-resilience of students of class XI MIPA through ego approach group counseling services. From the results of proposing a hypothesis using the z-test formula, the value of Zhitung 2,807, while ztable is 1,833, it can be concluded that "group approach counseling services ego can increase student self-resilience". From the results of this study it is suggested that the supervising teacher should program an ego approach group counseling service so that students can increase self-resilience.

Kinerja seorang konselor sekolah dinyatakan berkualitas jika ia menunjukkan perilaku tugas yang sesuai dengan indikator kompetensi inti yang ditentukan dalam Standar Kualifikasi Akademik dan Kompetensi Konselor (SKAKK). Kualitas kinerja guru BK mengacu pada tingkat kesesuaian antara perilaku nyata yang ditunjukkan oleh guru BK ketika melakukan tugas khusus sebagai guru BK dan indikator kompetensi inti yang ditetapkan dalam SKAKK. Semakin tepat kinerja konselor sekolah dengan spesifikasi yang ditentukan dalam SKAKK, semakin berkualitas kinerja profesional konselor sekolah yang bersangkutan. Kualitas kinerja profesional konselor sekolah dengan demikian dapat diartikan sebagai memenuhi spesifikasi perilaku tugas profesional oleh konselor sekolah sesuai dengan yang ditentukan dalam indikator SKAKK.

Pandemi covid 19 membawa banyak dampak bagi segala sektor kehidupan termasuk sektor pendidikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran yang harus dilaksanakan secara virtual menimbulkan masalah pada mahasiswa Indonesia yang pada umumnya belum terbiasa melakukan perkuliahan secara virtual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan stress yang dialami oleh mahasiswa selama belajar virtual dan implikasinya terhadap pelayanan konseling yang dapat diberikan di perguruan tinggi pada masa pandemi. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksploratif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang menjalani perkuliahan virtual selama pandemi covid 19 di Indonesia yang diambil secara random. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara online kepada sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 74,8% sampel mengalami peningkatan stress saat mengikuti pembelajaran virtual dengan gejala yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian akan dijadikan sebagai data awal untuk merancang model konseling yang efektif dan solutif di era new normal.

Since the last twenty years Centralization Attention Disorder is often referred to as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders). This disorder is characterized by the inability of the child to focus on something that is at hand, so that his attention span is very short time compared to other children the same age. Usually accompanied by symptoms of hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. This disorder can disrupt a child's development in terms of cognitive, behavioral, socialization and communication. There is a tendency more often in boys than girls. Epidemiologically with the incidence rate ratio of 4: 1. Academic failure is striking in children with ADHD. A child can not achieve optimal results according to his ability, or learning difficulties. Behavior modification is an approach that offered to help children with ADHD. In counseling, behavior modification can be done with the application of behavioral counseling.

Group counseling in schools attracts many school students, especially when learning how they often brainstorm about interests and concerns. During this time the implementation of group counseling in schools is done with the stages of activities that have been formulated practically. At the stage of group counseling during this time there has been no application of various approaches in these activities. The knowledge that school counselors have about various approaches is not followed by their application in group counseling activities. This article will discuss about the application of one approach that is reality in group counseling activities.

Salah satu hal yang perlu dipenuhi dalam masa perkembangan remaja adalah kebutuhan remaja. Salah satu dampak dari tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan remaja adalah perilaku agresif. Perilaku agresif sangat erat hubungannya dengan tindakan bully yang banyak terjadi dikalangan pelajar saat ini. Hasil akhir dari bullying lebih dapat diprediksi dibanding hasil akhir dari agresi. Bullying disebut sebagai sub bagian dari perilaku agresif karena di dalamnya melibatkan agresi atau serangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemenuhan kebutuhan remaja terhadap tindakan bully siswa di PKBM Kasih Bundo Kota Bukittinggi.

The purpose of this study is that researchers want to see how much an increase in student entrepreneurial interest in SMK 1 Kec. Guguak through basic services in the field of career guidance. The population is all grade XII students of SMKN 1 Kec. Guguak, amounting to 236 people, while the research sample were students of class XII multimedia 2, amounting to 20 people. Which is indicated to have low student entrepreneurial interest based on a purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument is a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 22. The results of research that have been done there are differences between the pretest value and the posttest value. From the results of statistical tests it is known that tcount 4,737> from ttable 1,729 with df 19 at a significance level of 0.05, it can be said that Ha is accepted meaning that there is an increase in student entrepreneurial interest for pretest and posttest through basic services in career guidance.

The purpose of this study is that the researcher wants to see how much influence the family economic conditions have on the career planning of students of SMAN 1 Mungka District. The population in this study were 49 students of class XII of SMAN 1 Mungka District and the samples taken were 49 students of class XII using total sampling. The results showed the regression results were positive (+), namely Ῠ = 41.537 + 1.075X. The meaning of this number is that if the family's economic condition (X) then the value of the career planning constellation (Y) is 41.537, and for each additional 1% of the family's economic condition (X), career planning will increase by 1.075. Hypothesis test results in this study found that the F count> from the F table (93.584> 4.04) thus it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted there is a significant influence between family economic conditions on the career planning of students of SMAN 1 Kec. Mungka, and also the determination test has been carried out, it is known that economic conditions affect the career planning of students as much as 97.8% and the remaining 2.2% is influenced by other variables outside the research variable.
