Abstract

Students are always confused with a schedule of lectures, about time of lectures, room that will be used, even about come or not the lecturer on class. As a result, students must always go to the education department to inquire this issue. It is very ineffective. But there is no system that helps students in overcoming this problem. In this paper, the authors build a system with the title is the information system of the schedules of lectures using television. The system is built using Delphi 6.0 programming language and uses Microsoft Access 2003 as the database. To operate this system requires a CPU and a television screen as an output device. This system provides information on the schedule of lectures to the students through a television screen. Information provided includes schedule of lectures, room that will be used, the certainty of the lecture will take place, and informing announcements and activities that will take place. These systems also support the effectiveness of the performance of educational staff in the conduct of daily operations.

Abstract

The security and confidentiality of Short Message Service (SMS) is very important for senders and recipients of messages. Generally, SMS is displayed in plain text form which can make it easy for the cryptanalyst to skipjack the message to be distributed. SMS security can be done by encrypting it based on one of the cryptographic algorithms in order to maintain the authenticity and security of messages and can make it difficult for others to know the original meaning of the SMS. Skipjack algorithm is one of cryptography algorithm that can be used for SMS encoding. The Skipjack algorithm is an electronic 64-bit codebook algorithm that converts 64-bit blocks into 64-bit blocks of output. The parameter used for encryption is 80-bit key and has 32 rounds of the encryption process and description. This study describes how SMS text encoding based on skipjack algorithm with the purpose of distributed SMS can be guaranteed to be safe and avoid misuse.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of preparedness of blended learning in the Informatics Engineering Study Program Environment at the PGRI Madiun University. This study uses a survey research approach with a total sample of 195 people. The research instrument used questionnaires with Likert scale. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis with learning readiness approach adopted from Aydin and Tasci. The result of the research shows that the readiness of blended learning in informatics engineering study program of PGRI Madiun University, for personal factor or dimension is assessed Not ready needs some works. Self-development factors or dimensions are assessed Not ready needs some works. Factors or dimensions of technology are assessed Ready but needs a few improvement. Factors or dimensions of innovation are rated Not ready needs some works.

Abstract

The use of robot arm in the system of colour and weight box selection has been done to integrate control system of robot arm moving with colour sensor TCS3200 and weight sensor load cell. The research was conducted by analyzing efficiency and accuracy system of robot arm moving to select colour and weight goods like box. The robot arm moving work suitable instruction of colour and weight sensor reading. At the most important from this system is how to accuracy of colour and weight sensor to detect colour ang weight and accuracy of robot arm moving system can positioning degree moving to take colour with different weight box suitable the place. The result of the analysis proved that robot arm moving had inregrated with colour and weight sensor efficient and effective to do this work as colour and weight box selection accurately.

Abstract

Education is an important aspect for the progress of a country. With the existence of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds can help the distribution of education but the Education Office has not implemented a computerized system to the maximum in monitoring the distribution of BOS funds. The Education Office only has data textually and not spatially. The more schools in Pematangsiantar City will be difficult for the Education Office to see a map of locations where schools that are entitled to receive BOS funds and who have received BOS funds. This Geographic Information System (GIS) application was made to find out the location of BOS funds distribution with the appearance of tables and data in the form of maps. This GIS is displayed web-based so that everyone can access it. The use of this application will help the Education Office in monitoring the distribution of BOS funds so that evenly distribution. In addition to helping the community to find out the location of the school and school data. The author uses google maps to determine latitude and longitude coordinate points found on google maps. Using this coordinate point, the location of the recipient of BOS funds was obtained. Latitude and longitude values are stored in the MySQL database and will be called using PHP programming. This application also uses UML modeling. This study uses data collection methods by means of surveys and literature. After the data has been collected, the location measurements and map determination are then analyzed for system requirements and system design and testing. Then the implementation of the system by utilizing Google Map and the PHP programming language. After the application is generated, the program is tested with Black Box Testing. This GIS application can run locally using a local server such as App Server with the provision that you must connect to the internet.

Abstract

Biometrics is the study of patterns of characteristics to recognize or identify humans based on one or more parts of the human body, both chemical, physical, and behavioral characteristics, such as faces, fingerprints, sounds, hand geometry, or iris. Nowadays technology has developed using sound to be used as an application that facilitates humans. Voice identification process is very necessary to know the accuracy of the sound based on the characteristics possessed, because some humans have similarities in saying. In this study aims to determine the sound pattern based on speech. The method used for voice identification using the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) feature extraction method, is a feature extraction method that approaches the human hearing system and is able to recognize speech patterns.

Abstract

Information is the king pin in business. Companies challenge their self to get an actual and factual information to be exist and win the tender. Companies are forced to use an up-to-date technology to produce the information needed. Especially in custom furniture company that has a long business process. It starts from measuring, modelling, budgeting, quotation, re-measuring, quality control, budget realization, until invoice printing. All of those processes must be organized in 1 management, so the custom furniture company can provide the actual and factual information for their customers. CV. Bali Interio is one of the company run in custom furniture business. This company has problems in their business process, it starts from the unorganized documents, slow processing documents que, messing measuring schedule, online buyer that doesn’t have an online media to buy, and the customers who want to monitor their order online. Based on the problems, it can be concluded that CV. Bali Interio needs a computerized system to solve the problems so it can give the best information needed for company or customer.

Abstract

Micro-sleep (MS) is a short sleep condition ranging from 1 to 30 seconds, where people who experience this condition fail to respond to motor sensors and become unconscious. Micro-sleep often occurs as a result of lack of sleep, but not always micro-sleep is caused by lack of sleep, some cases explain that micro-sleep sufferers are also experienced by those who do during monotonous work. Micro-sleep becomes very important when this condition involves dangerous conditions. Even though it's only a few seconds, of course this is very dangerous, and may be one of the main causes of accidents. By utilizing sensor technology, we can do realtime monitoring of the data of the owner, so that a tool that can detect the condition of the driver who has micro-sleep can be developed. With this information the micro-sleep detector will make a warning to the driver. This is expected to reduce the number of accidents caused by micro-sleep.
