Abstract

In the various of librarian forums are still intense and interesting to discuss about the competence and professionalism of librarians, this is because of the profession of librarians in this era of globalization is a very strategic profession and received a very wide attention among libraries, especially in the library of universities in terms of Information management. Competence and professionalism for those who hold this profession are a challenge and discussed in the various of librarian forums in the global era. Librarian readiness to face the digital era in meeting the needs of users who are very diverse information by the user cannot be considered normal, As information managers, librarians in the era of information flooding in cyberspace today requires competence and professionalism as the librarian definitions contained in Law no. 43 of 2007 on libraries, that librarian is someone who has competence obtained through education and / or training librarianship and has the duty and responsibility to implement library management and services. Librarians are currently dealing with users who are called “native engine” users who are not separated daily with information technology tools that all want fast, easy and efficient in terms of information accessibility. Information packs that will slowly shift from paper to soft sources into librarian bets to understand and be able to manage and distribute various of information in the data base. The third millennium is an information age that forces librarians to begin switching paradigms and repositioning their roles over the years. The independence and productivity of librarians to change and become agents of change for themselves and society, and being able to position themselves as information managers for the community is imperative. The competence of librarians in terms of online research skills should also be held to anticipate the needs of users, especially researchers who are in dire need of various sources that have been packaged in digital form, as the researcher consumption must be obtained from E’Journal and publication also through open journal system or scopus is a challenge for librarians as information manager. One of the aims of this paper is to publicize and reveal what librarians need to anticipate in the era of information flooding in the face of technological developments and the current changing phenomenon, so librarians must be able to uncover what is changing and what should to do. The Demands of the needs of library users increasingly diverse in this information technology era, the library needs to prepare a professional librarian and competent in their fields which, according to some librarian research results have not been encouragingDi berbagai forum kepustakawanan saat ini masih intens dan menarik untuk membicarakan tentang kompetensi dan profesionalisme pustakawan, hal ini disebabkan karena profesi pustakawan di era globalisasi ini merupakan profesi yang sangat strategis dan mendapat perhatian yang sangat luas di kalangan perpustakaan, khususnya pada perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam hal pengelolaan informasi. Kompetensi dan profesionalime bagi yang menyandang profesi ini merupakan sebuah tantangan dan menjadi bahan diskusi di berbagai forum kepustakawanan di era global. Kesiapan pustakawan menghadapi era digital dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna yang sangat beragam akan informasi oleh pengguna tidak bisa dianggap biasa, Sebagai pengelola informasi, pustakawan di era banjir informasi di dunia maya saat ini menuntut kompetensi dan profesionalisme sebagaimana definis pustakawan yang tertuang di dalam UU No. 43 Tahun 2007 tentang perpustakaan, bahwa pustakawan adalah seseorang yang memiliki kompetensi yang diperoleh melalui pendidikan dan / atau pelatihan kepustakawanan serta mempunyai tugas dan tanggung jawab untuk melaksanakan pengelolaan dan pelayanan perpustakaan. Pustakawan saat ini berhadapan dengan pengguna yang disebut “native engine” pengguna yang kesehariannya tidak lepas dengan alat-alat teknologi informasi yang serba ingin cepat , mudah dan efisien dalam hal aksesbilitas informasi. Kemasan informasi yang lambat laun akan bergeser dari kertas ke soft sources menjadi taruhan pustakawan untuk memahamai dan mampu mengelola dan mendistribusikan berbagai informasi dalam database. Abad millenium ke tiga merupakan abad informasi yang memaksa pustakawan untuk mulai beralih paradigma dan melakukan reposisi terhadap perannya selama ini. Kemandirian dan Produktivitas pustakawan untuk berubah dan menjadi agen perubahan bagi diri dan masyarakat, serta mampu menempatkan dirinya sebagai manajer informasi bagi masyarakat adalah keharusan. Kompetensi pustakawan dalam hal online research skill juga harus dimiliki untuk mengantisipasi kebutuhan pengguna terutama peneliti yang sangat membutuhkan berbagai macam sumber yang sudah dikemas dalam bentuk digital, sebagai konsumsi peneliti yang mesti diperoleh dari E’Journal dan publikasinya juga melalui open journal system atau scopus adalah merupakan tantangan tersendiri bagi pustakawan sebagai information manager. Salah satu tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mempublikasikan dan mengungkap hal-hal yang perlu diantisipasi oleh pustakawan pada era banjir informasi yang berhadapan langsung dengan perkembangan teknologi serta fenomena perubahan yang yang terjadi saat ini, sehingga pustakawan harus bisa mengungkap apa yang berubah dan apa yang seharusnya dilakukan. Tuntutan kebutuhan pengguna perpustakaan yang semakin beragam pada era teknologi informasi ini, perpustakaan perlu mempersiapkan pustakawan yang profesional dan kompeten dibidangnya yang menurut beberapa hasil penelitian kepustakawan belum menggembirakan.

Abstract

The college library is the center in the running of the wheel of disseminating knowledge. One of the collections found in the college library is local content. Local content has a variety of types, among others, student writings and lecturers’ research results. Medical Knowledge Center as a center for depositing local content academicians of the Faculty of Medicine UPN Veteran Jakarta strives to facilitate the existing local content to be more optimally utilized. This research was conducted to determine the application of local content preservation in the Medical Knowledge Center in terms of processes and benefits. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Stages are carried out by identification, selection and decision making. Conclusion Local content becomes more organized, the value of existing knowledge is maintained and extends dissemination.Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi merupakan pusat dalam berjalannya roda penyebarluasan pengetahuan. Salah satu koleksi yang terdapat di Perpustakan perguruan tinggi adalah konten lokal. Konten lokal memiliki beragam jenis antara lain hasil karya tulis Mahasiswa dan hasil penelitian Dosen. Medical Knowledge Center sebagai pusat deposit konten lokal sivitas akademika Fakultas Kedokteran UPN Veteran Jakarta berusaha untuk memfasilitasi agar konten lokal yang ada menjadi lebih optimal pemanfaatannya. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk mengetahui penerapan preservasi konten lokal di Medical Knowledge Center dari segi proses dan manfaat. Metode yang digunakan dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Tahapan dilakukan dengan identifikasi, seleksi dan pengambilan keputusan. Kesimpulan konten lokal menjadi lebih tertata, nilai pengetahuan yang ada tetap terjaga dan memperluas diseminasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out how much influence the quality of service reflected in responsiveness, assurance, empathy and physical evidence affect the library consumers. The data used in this study is using primary data by distributing questionnaires. The sample size in this study were 100 respondents who were library visitors. This study uses explanatory research that uses a quantitative approach with validity, reliability, T-test and F-test. The results of this study indicate that visitor satisfaction is positively and significantly affected by service quality. Recommendations resulting from this research for library practitioners are the preparation of library visit marketing strategies from the aspect of increasing library visitor satisfaction.Keywords : service quality, satisfaction, library ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kualitas layanan yang tercermin dalam daya tanggap, jaminan, empati dan bukti fisik berpengaruh pada konsumen perpustakan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan data primer dengan cara penyebaran kuisioner. Ukuran sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan pengunjung perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan explanatory research yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji T dan uji F.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan pengunjung dipengaruhi secara positif dan signifikan oleh kualitas layanan. Abstract

The theme of this article is the role of librarians in disruption era. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The informants from this study were librarians from all elements who visited and were met at IAIN Saaltiga. Informant was taken randomly. Data collection is done using interviews and documents. The problem of this research is the strategy to development that threatens to shift the role of librarians. The results of this study are that librarians are required to map their developments, weaknesses, and develop the skills needed according to development. The reliability of the librarian is an advanced point of professionalism which is then oriented to the ability to maintain self quality. Competency is the ability in terms of Listening, Informatin acceptance, Public relations, Social relationships, Time management, Interpersonal, and Communication skills.

Abstract

Dalam dunia perpustakaan, seorang pustakawan adalah komponen yang paling vital, dimana keberhasilan perpustakaan dalam memberikan layanan informasi sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas, profesionalitas dalam sistem layanan yang berkarakter. Kualitas tenaga pustakawan untuk perpustakaan umum berbeda dengan kulaitas tenaga pustakawan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Pustakawan adalah kunci utama majunya perpustakaan. Setiap pustakawan dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain, baik itu sesama pustakawan maupun pengguna (user) terlebih umumnya pada masyarakat pembelajar membutuhkan soft skill. Kesuksesan yang dimiliki oleh pustakawan bukan hanya sekedar keterampilan teknis, melainkan kualitas diri pustakawan yang dilengkapi dengan sifat, sikap dan nilai-nilai kepribadian pustakawan itu sendiri. Penelitian ini fokus terhadap soscial skill sebagai pustakawan sekolah dalam mengembangkan minat baca di perpustakaan sekolah. Keseimbangan antara soft skill dan Comunnicator style yang dimiliki oleh pustakawan ini yang kemudian mampu memberikan energi positif bagi citra perpustakaan dan keprofesionalisme seorang pustakawan itu sendiri. Dengan cara-cara komunikasi yang efektif menjadikan pustakawan sebagai sahabat bagi penggunanya.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In today's digital era, every activity of a person or organization is inseparable from sophisticated devices and the internet. The paperless era seems to have been implicated in every link of life including at school. At present many schools use devices and personal computers as the main tools for making various things related to learning activities such as school exam materials, daily assessments, and final semester assessments. The clearest example is the UNBK (Computer Based National Examination). The Ministry of Education has even distributed 1.75 million devices to a number of schools in order to expedite the school digitalization program called Rumah Belajar. The penetration of school digitalization has not yet been matched by the readiness of the school library and the ability of school librarians so that the school library and school librarian seem to be left behind and abandoned. Therefore, the author is interested in researching this matter. By using descriptive research methods the writer describes the existence of school library in the digital era and the existence of school librarians in the midst of the onslaught of information and technology. In order for school librarians not to be left behind and their existence to be calculated and needed in every sector, of course school librarians must upgrade themselves and transform into librarians who have the ability of technology, negotiation, collaboration and literacy.ABSTRAK Di era digital saat ini, setiap kegiatan dan aktifitas seseorang maupun organisasi tidak terlepas dari gawai canggih dan internet. Era tanpa kertas sepertinya telah menggejala di setiap lini kehidupan tak terkecuali di sekolah. Saat ini banyak sekolah yang menjadikan gawai dan personal computer  untuk dapat membuat berbagai hal berkaitan dengan pembelajaran, materi ujian sekolah, penilaian harian, hingga Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS). Contoh nyata yang paling jelas adalah UNBK (Ujian Nasional Berbasis Komputer). Bahkan kementrian pendidikan telah membagikan 1,75 juta gawai ke sejumlah  sekolah guna memperlancar program digitalisasi sekolah yang bernama rumah belajar. Penetrasi digitalisasi ke sekolah ternyata belum diimbangi dengan kesiapan perpustakaan sekolah dan kemampuan pustakwan sekolah sehingga  menjadikan perpustakaan sekolah dan pustakawan sekolah terkesan tertinggal dan ditinggalkan. Oleh karena itu penulis tertarik untuk meneliti ini. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian desriptif  penulis mengambarkan tentang keberadaan perpustakaan sekolah di era digital dan eksistensi pustakawan sekolah ditengah gempuran  informasi dan teknologi.  Dan agar pustakawan sekolah tidak tertinggal dan eksistensinya diperhitungkan dan dibutuhkan disetiap sektor, tentunya pustakawan sekolah harus mengupgrade diri dan bertransformasi menjadi pustakawan yang memiliki kemampuan teknologi, negosiasi, kolaborasi dan literate.

Abstract

Subtitling becomes the most prominent growth in translation studies with its many advantages. It is cheaper than dubbing, take a short time, has the original soundtrack, better for hard-of-hearing and has a role in language learning. Subtitling can not be separated from the text. This text will be influenced by the context of a situation and also a context of culture. Having Cross Cultural Understanding better will show the ideology of the text. This study observes the translation technique of translating humor in Indonesian subtitle in the first episode of Mind Your Language British comedy series. This subtitle is done by the sixth-semester Indonesian students of English Education Program of Diamond Institute. This is a qualitative descriptive research presenting a translation unit tangible form in lingual (word, phrase, clause, and sentence) as the data. The object of the research is film dialogue in English and Indonesian subtitles also. The analysis of this study represents that there are 5 techniques in translating humor, namely Translating humor in wordplay with a literal translation, Translating humor in Source Text Pun with Target Text Pun, Translating humor in wordplay with wordplay, Translating humor in wordplay with zero wordplays (non-wordplay) and Translating humor with allusion. The use of literal translation technique is dominant while the ideal translation technique in translating humor is wordplay with wordplay.Subtitling mengalami pertumbuhan yang sangat pesat dalam studi penerjemahan dengan banyak kelebihannya. Subtitling lebih murah dari dubbing ditinjau dari segi biaya, proses pembuatannya tidak memerlukan waktu lama, mempunyai soundtract asli, dan lebih baik bagi para penderita tuna rungu dan sulit mendengar. Subtitling tidak bisa dipisahkan dari teks. Teks ini yang akan diperngaruhi oleh konteks situasi dan juga konteks budaya. Memiliki pandangan yang baik tentang Cross Cultural Understanding / perbedaan budaya akan bisa memahami ideologi teks tersebut. Penelitian ini mengkaji teknik penerjemahan humor dalam bahasa Indonesia dalam serial komedi Inggris yang berjudul “ Mind Your Language” episode pertama. Subtitle film komedi ini dikerjakan oleh mahasiswa semester enam jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mengetengahkan unit penerjemahan bentuk lingual (kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat). Objek penelitian ini adalah dialog film dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesi. Analisis dalam pene- litian ini menunjukkan bahawa ada 5 teknik dalam menerjemahkan humor, yaitu merjemahkan humor dalam wordplay dengan perjemahan literal, menerjemahkan humor dalam permainan kata kata (pun) bahasa sumber ke dalam pun bahasa sasa- ran, menerjemahkan wordplay dengan wordplay, menerjemahkan wordplay dengan cara tanpa menerjemahkannya (dibiarkan apa adanya) dan menerjemahkan humor dengan allusion (kiasan). Penggunaan teknik penerjemahan literal sangat dominan sedangkan teknik terjemahan yang ideal dalam menerjemahkan humor adalah wordplay dengan wordplay.

Abstract

One of the activities to attract the interest of library users, need to use the service marketing triangle which includes internal marketing, external marketing and interactive marketing. Currently, the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Library Center is conducting socialization as part of an external marketing effort to attract service users. In terms of service dissemination activities to new students, the main target is the increased utilization of library services by students. So far there has been no measure of whether this outreach activity really reaches its goals or not. In addition, information must also be obtained from users, especially new students about what are their needs and expectations so that their interest in utilizing library services is getting higher. Research is carried out by survey methods for new students who have received service socialization. The respondents were 282 people determined by the Slovin method. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that socialization activities have a positive effect on the level of access of users to library services. In terms of satisfaction with socialization activities, more than 70% of respondents were satisfied and the information submitted was adequate, but respondents felt the facilities used still needed to be improved, especially the availability of internet access.

Abstract

Every unit in higher education institution have a responsibility to maintain their academic integrity. Being dishonest by claiming other people's work (plagiarism) in a scientific work, is a violation to academic integrity and may be punished according to State Law Act. 20 Year 2003 about National Education System. The Sanction is revocation of academic title, or worst, criminal law act. Library has a function, which is to disseminate the scientific works result, and it holds important role to maintain the originality of the content. The purpose of this paper is to examine the efforts that library can do to maintain the academic integrity with a literature study method. Library can do many things to maintain academic integrity, such as: contributing to ethic's team, integrating information literacy program into the curriculum, having a policy to prevent plagiarism, doing an anti plagiarism campaign, using a tools to detect plagiarism, and providing adequate references. Those ways have to be done continuously and being synergized with all the units, so that the academic integrity can be a culture for academic community
