Abstract

Implementation of information retrieval activities in a library is inseparable from the work role of the librarian, for that in a library there needs to be a written policy regarding standard operating procedures for preservation of collections in the library. This research traced information based on standard library procedures regarding collection development policies based on legal standards or preservation SOP policies, with qualitative research methods with the Snowball Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that in the UST library has not implemented standard operating procedures in preservation collection activities, this is reflected in the process of preservation activities do not have a preservation SOP that is based on the legal basis for preservation of the collection as stated in the SOP document control contained in SOP No. 001.002 / ot 01 01 / isn 6, Law Number 13 of 2018 concerning transfer of printed and recorded works, Regulation of the Head of the National Library Number 16 of 2014 concerning procedures for storing and using special collections and SNI 7330: 2009 for Higher Education libraries.

Abstract

SISKO was developed since 2005 in SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta through the assistance of Kamadeva developer under the auspices of PT. Indonesia Mandiri. The interesting side of this research is SISKO as an integrated information system between the school administration module and the Library, SISKO will be reviewed from the analysis of its library information system design. The research method through a descriptive qualitative research approached, namely by conducted field observation techniques, direct interviews and collected available data. Based on the results of the information system design analysts showed the relationship between data or entities with each other. The focus of the analysis of the design of the library information system at SISKO also showed the detailed process flow especially in circulation services at SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Library. SISKO viewed from the back end through its user interface can run well.

Abstract

The role of the madrasah library is not just infrastructure that must be available at the madrasah, but also must be managed properly according to standards and can truly function as a learning resource that can meet information for students and educators that ultimately can improve student competency and quality of the process of education and teaching in madrasah. Madrasah libraries in the city of Palangka Raya are still far from expectations, many libraries are managed only to meet the availability of infrastructure in madrasah. But there are still not many who manage the library properly to be used as a source of learning and part of the teaching system in the madrasah, therefore the purpose of this study is to find out how the efforts of the madrasah library make the library as a learning resource and part of the teaching system which includes development plans madrasah library, library staff development program, collection development and management activities, infrastructure development, service systems used and library programs in increasing the use of libraries in madrasah.This research is a field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The respondents in this study were madrasah library managers and there were 11 madrasah that were sampled from 35 madrasah in Palangka Raya City.The results of this study are, madrasah efforts to make libraries as a source of learning and teaching system in madrasah from the aspect of planning, madrasah libraries do not have a strategic plan and grand design related to library development, madrasah libraries still get minimal budget for collection development and some even no, there are still many library management personnel who are not yet professional, infrastructure facilities that are not yet standard, the service system is still manual and information technology has not been maximally applied. While the efforts made by the madrasah for the use of the library by teachers and students are the movement of reading 15 minutes before learning or during breaks in the library, distributing a collection of library books in every reading corner in the class, giving rewards to students who frequently visit the library, inviting students to visit Other libraries, film screenings in the library and holding collection display cabinets in the school grounds.

Abstract

Evaluation of the collection as part of the activity of collection development the library has a significant influence for the existence of the collection in the library. Course evaluation activities collection it is the idea or the important thing towards the improvement of the collection, to be able to better understand, observe, correct and weighing the collection for the improvement and advancement of the library collection. Technically written by Evans and Futas, both of which have standards and processes as well as methods in the evaluation of such a collection, which can be used as reference material or input for the evaluation activities of the collection. The formulation of the problem in this thesis is to understand how to view or how to describe the evaluation of the collection of the views of evans and futas with a more concise and clear. The method used in this paper is a literature study with a description of the analysis of the writings of Edvans and Futas directly with the reinforced by the writing of other works. The results of this paper is to describe the theory of the evaluation of the collection according to the authors of Evans and Futas on the procedures and methods of evaluation of library collections, the summary is clearly based on the writings of both the authors who the author is. The conclusion of the second author (Evans and Futas), which are from both the evaluation of the collection the library has the means and methods are almost the same in doing so, the need and importance of evaluation of the collectionis a means of planning against the collection in a library.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology makes information spread and open which can be accessed from anywhere and at any time. The development of information technology must also be balanced with the ability to search and identify information properly and correctly, which is then known as information literacy. But this ability is not yet fully owned by information users, especially students. This makes the ability of information literacy is an urgent matter, especially on scientific information. Departing from the low level of scientific information literacy, students need to receive scientific information literacy training, especially in the early years of lectures. This research uses research and development (RD) methods. Literacy class participants used as informants in this study were determined randomly, which came from the first year students of each study program in the academic year 2019/2020. In the initial stage of this study a measurement of the level of knowledge and literacy ability of students of trainees (classes) was carried out using a pretest. In the next stage class material was carried out as well as practice in order to obtain results in the form of applied skills that could be directly applicable. The material includes general knowledge about scientific information, effective search methods and strategies, searching of electronic journal portal both paid and open access, as well as using and evaluating information including citations. At the final stage of this study a posttest was conducted to see the extent of the effectiveness of this training model and class participants’ understanding of scientific information literacy after attending literacy classes. The results of this program show an increase in students’ information literacy skills.

Abstract

­AbstractE-commerce is the most popular method or means to buy and sell today. One of the products sold is the book. Togamas as distributor selling book responds to the phenomenon by creating a website to facilitate the online buying process. The problem formulation in this study is how the strategy of promoting e-commerce Togamas bookstore in a virtual society. The purpose of this writing is to describe the e-commerce promotional strategy of the Togamas bookstore. The research methods used are qualitative descriptive. The collection of data used is observation on the website of Togamas bookstore. The analysis knife used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The result of this writing is Togamas bookstore is able to membranding itself in accordance with the tag line sure Ori (original), definite discount, warranty, and free is very attached to the Togamas bookstore. The implications given online bookstores against virtual communities or especially consumers at online bookstores bring many implications that are positive value i.e. ease of transaction, share knowledge and selective buying. But there are some things that have to be repaired. For example, the use of ratings or reviews contained in Togamas websites does not work properly.  AbstrakE-Commerce merupakan metode atau sarana promosi jual beli paling populer saat ini. Salah satu produk yang dijual adalah buku. Togamas sebagai distributor penjualan buku merespon fenomena tersebut dengan membuat website guna mempermudah proses jual-beli secara online. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi promosi e-commerce toko buku togamas dalam masyarakat virtual. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi promosi e-commerce toko buku togamas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi pada website toko buku togamas. Pisau analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penulisan ini yakni toko buku togamas mampu membranding dirinya sesuai dengan tag line pasti ori (original), pasti diskon, bergaransi, dan gratis sangat melekat pada toko buku togamas. Implikasi yang diberikan toko buku online terhadap masyarakat virtual atau khususnya konsumen pada toko buku online membawa banyak implikasi yang bernilai positif yaitu kemudahan transaksi, share knowledge dan selektif membeli. Namun ada beberapa hal yang memang harus diperbaiki. Sebagai contoh misalnya, penggunaan rating atau ulasan yang terdapat dalam website togamas tidak berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya.

Abstract

AbstractIn accordance with the National Education System Law of 2003 Number 20 paragraph 3. Higher education has the task of carrying out education, research and community service or what is commonly known as the Tri Dharma of Education. Higher education libraries have an information function, namely facilitating access to students and the academic community to obtain information to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Libraries are responsible for compiling collections or information, both printed and non-printed (digital). Non-print access is required because of the habit of reading digital documents. The digital sources served by the IAIN Salatiga library currently are electronic journals including The MIT Press, JStor, and Emerald Insight, while the IAIN Salatiga library e-books subscribes to Ebscohost and Pustabiblia. This research examines the use of e-resources by IAIN Salatiga postgraduate students. The use of e-resources referred to in this study refers to the Techonology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory developed by Davis (1986). This research is a quantitative study with a correlation approach. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. There are 3 tests, the first has no effect, namely information literacy on the ease of use of e-resources. Two other tests show an effect. First, information literacy has an effect on perceived usefulness or perceptions of the usefulness of e-resources. It can be concluded that students who have information literacy perceive that e-resources from the IAIN Salatiga Library are useful. Second, information literacy affects actual to use or direct use of e-resources. IAIN Salatiga students who have information literacy skills will use the e-resources subscribed to by the IAIN Salatiga Library.  AbstrakSesuai Undang-undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Tahun 2003 Nomor 20 ayat 3. Perguruan tinggi mempunyai tugas menjalankan Pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau yang biasa dengan istilah Tri Dharma Pendidikan. Perpustakaan perguruan inggi memiliki fungsi informasi yaitu memfasilitasi akses mahasiswa maupun civitas akademika untuk memperoleh informasi guna menunjang Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi. Perpustakaan bertanggung jawab untuk menghimpun koleksi atau informasi baik berbentuk cetak maupun non cetak (digital). Akses non-cetak diperlukan karena adanya pola kebiasaan membaca dokumen digital. sumber digital yang dilayankan oleh perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga saat ini adalah jurnal elektronik diantaranya The MIT Press, JStor, dan Emerald Insight, sedangkan untuk e-book perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga  melanggan Ebscohost dan Pustabiblia Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pemanfaatan e-resources oleh mahasiswa pascasarjana IAIN Salatiga. Pemanfaatan e-resources yang dimaksudkan dalam penelitian ini mengacu teori Techonology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang dikembangkan oleh Davis (1986). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Instrumen penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Terdapat 3 pengujian, pertama tidak memiliki pengaruh yaitu literasi informasi terhadap kemudahan penggunaan e-resources. Dua pengujian lainnya menunjukkan adanya pengaruh. Pertama, literasi informasi berpengaruh terhadap perceived of usefulness atau persepsi mengenai kegunaan / manfaat e-resources. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa yang memiliki literasi informasi berpersepsi bahwa e-resources dari Perspustakaan IAIN Salatiga bermanfaat. Kedua, literasi informasi berpengaruh terhadap actual to use atau penggunaan e-resources secara langsung. Mahasiswa IAIN Salatiga yang memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi akan menggunakan e-resources yang dilanggan Perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga.

Abstract

Abstract This writing takes the theme of the online learning process which is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic situation by taking one of a series of learning processes, namely the learning evaluation process, where learning does not take place normally as usual. This results in changes in the delivery of information within the scope of learning which must be adapted to situations that cannot have a face-to-face, cannot gather in one room, and cannot interact directly with each other, but material information must continue with complete learning targets ). Therefore, this research is interesting to do because it aims to reveal patterns of information flows in learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. This research took a research locus at MI Ma'arif Mangunsari, Salatiga City. Informants taken in this study were teachers, school principals and parents of students who were taken randomly. The results of this study indicate that first, the implementation of Mangunsari online learning in Salatiga City runs well without significant obstacles due to good planning in terms of teacher competence, materials, facilities and parental involvement, as well as the accuracy of selecting the facilities and infrastructure used in online learning. Second, the process of information flow in online learning forms a triangular pattern between teacher parents and students with the flow of information from teacher to parent through online media, parents to students offline, students to parents, then parents to teachers.  Abstrak Penulisan ini mengambil tema proses pembelajaran online yang dilatar belakangi oleh situasi pandemi Covid-19 dengan mengambil salah satu rangkaian proses pembelajaran yaitu proses evaluasi pembelajaran, dimana pembelajaran tidak berlangsung normal seperti biasanya. Hal ini mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan penyampaian informasi dalam ruang lingkup pembelajaran yang harus disesuaikan dengan situasi tidak dapat bertatap muka, tidak dapat berkumpul dalam satu ruangan, dan tidak dapat saling berinteraksi secara langsung, namun informasi materi harus dilanjutkan dengan menyelesaikan target pembelajaran). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menarik untuk dilakukan karena bertujuan untuk mengungkap pola arus informasi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pada saat pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian ini mengambil lokus penelitian di  MI Ma’arif Mangunsari Kota Salatiga. Informan yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah dan orang tua siswa yang diambil secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertama, pelaksanaan pembelajaran online Mangunsari di Kota Salatiga berjalan dengan baik tanpa kendala yang berarti dikarenakan perencanaan yang baik dari segi kompetensi guru, materi, fasilitas dan keterlibatan orang tua, serta ketepatan pemilihan fasilitas dan infrastruktur yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran online. Kedua, proses arus informasi dalam pembelajaran online membentuk pola segitiga antara orang tua guru dan siswa dengan arus informasi dari guru ke orang tua melalui media online, orang tua ke siswa secara offline, siswa ke orang tua, kemudian orang tua ke guru.

Abstract

Abstract National Library has important role in every countries. One of important role of National Library in several countries are protecting and preserving rare collection produced in the countries. National Library of Indonesia preserves several rare collections, like newspapers, rare books, magazines, photographs and manuscripts. Rare newspaper is one of rare collection of the National Library which has important aspect. Researcher and visitor often benefit rare newwspaper collection as information sources. Pre-independence newspaper always becomes reference source for researcher from many countries. This article aims to analyze of rare newspaper collection in the National Library. This research method is using quantitative method. This research also uses direct observation approach. In direct observation, author checks directly filed condition to find data and information regarding this research. The result of this research is that the demand of reading pre-independence newspaper is little if it is compared with post-independence newspaper. Most of pre-independence newspaper has been broken, but almost 50% of the newspaper has been converted to microfilm format. Librarian plays important role in preserving and serving pre-independence newspaper. If the demanded pre-independence newspaper is in broken condition and unreadable, librarian should advice user to access microfilm-formated newspaper in Audio Visual Service in National Library of Indonesia.AbstrakPerpustakaan nasional memiliki peran yang penting dalam suatu negara. Salah satu peran perpustakaan nasional di berbagai negara adalah menjaga dan melestarikan koleksi langka yang pernah diproduksi di negara tersebut. Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia menyimpan berbagai macam koleksi langka, seperti surat kabar, buku, majalah, foto, peta hingga naskah. Surat kabar langka termasuk salah satu koleksi Perpustakaan Nasional yang sangat penting. Para peneliti dan pengunjung sering memanfaatkan surat kabar langka sebagai sumber informasi. Surat kabar langka prakemerdekaan seringkali menjadi sumber rujukan para peneliti dari berbagai negara. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis terhadap pendataan surat kabar prakemerdekaan di Perpustakaan Nasional. Dengan demikian pustakawan yang bekerja di Layanan Surat Kabar Langka dapat mengetahui surat kabar prakemerdekaan yang dapat dilayankan kepada para pengunjung. Metode penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sedangkan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan observasi langsung. Dalam observasi langsung, penulis melakukan pemeriksaan langsung terhadap kondisi di lapangan untuk menemukan data dan informasi terkait penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pustakawan berperan penting untuk menjaga kelestarian surat kabar prakemerdekaan. Pustakawan harus memeriksa dengan detail kondisi fisik surat kabar prakemerdekaan sebelum memberikan koleksi tersebut kepada pengunjung. Jika koleksi tersebut sudah rapuh, maka pustakawan harus menyarankan pengunjung untuk datang ke Layanan Audio Visual atau melakukan pengawasan dengan ketat terhadap pengunjung yang membaca surat kabar prakemerdekaan.

Abstract

AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic requires us to carry out social restrictions in order to break the chain of spreading the virus. However, on the other hand, the existence of a library, one of which is a university library, must continue to run considering the fulfillment of information needs that cannot be postponed. Teaching and learning activities are still carried out even though they are online. This results in the need for information for the public, especially students, to be fulfilled. Digital libraries have indeed become a service offering that can be accessed anywhere. However, not all people, such as students, are capable and comfortable reading digital versions of books. Students, in particular, are a net generation with the character of wanting to get something immediately. To deal with problems and the character of society, such as students, libraries need to provide alternative services. Services that can be done are such as drive thru services that adopt services at McDonalds. This paper uses a qualitative method that focuses on literature review. Data analysis activities using content analysis methods.AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 mengharuskan kita untuk melakukan pembatasan sosial guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus. Namun, disisi lain keberadaan sebuah perpustakaan, salah satunya perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi, harus tetap berjalan mengingat pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi yang tidak bisa ditunda. Kegiatan belajar mengajar tetap dilaksanakan walaupun secara daring. Hal ini berakibat kebutuhan informasi bagi masyarakat, khususnya mahasiswa, tetap harus terpenuhi. Perpustakaan digital memang telah menjadi tawaran layanan yang bisa akses dimana saja. Namun, tidak semua masyarakat, seperti mahasiswa, mampu dan nyaman membaca buku versi digital. Mahasiswa khsususnya, merupakan net generation yang memiliki karakter ingin  mendapatkan sesuatu dengan segera. Untuk menghadapi permasalahan dan karakter masyarakat, seperti mahasiswa, tersebut perpustakaan perlu memberikan layanan alternatif. Layanan yang dapat dilakukan seperti layanan drive thru yang mengadopsi layanan pada McDonalds. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada kajian pustaka. Kegiatan analisis data menggunakan metode analisis konten.
