Abstract

The application of lean concepts in manufacturing have often heard success. And it should also be used in service industry. The use of lean concept was expected to make the process of work will more effective and efficient. The purpose of this study was to analyze and propose improvements to work processes that have been conducted so far, so it will obtain a series of work within their lean principles, namely: value, value stream, flow, pull, and continuous improvement. One main task of the Service Control at PT. XYZ Tbk was the handling of complaints about the comfort of the employees in the work. Based on data for the year 2011, complaints regarding power supply (lighting) reached 53.2%. Based on the mapping process carried out on the handling of complaints lighting problem, obtained the total time it takes as much as 109 minutes. To capture the value of internal customers, distributed questionnaires to 50 respondents. The selected sample is the department that is in the halls of PT XYZ Tbk are then represented by a person who assessed understanding of the complaint process. After improvement with lean concepts, the completion time of the complaint obtained change lamp replacement to 58 minutes, or increased by 53.2%.

Abstract

The Antena is one of instrument from electronic’s communication which very usable to transmit the radio and audio sound wave. There are many basic materials of antenna which can usable, the among others iron, brass, copper, aluminum. All of the basic materials are the materials which can be conductor. From this research, All of the materials to make an antenna has been studied previously can make the optimalization(1) of radio’s wave. The metode to know that is make the antenna with use all of the basic materials. But only one material can be used as be base antenna’s material. That’s alumunium, that’s lightweight and malleable. Some parameters which follow in use of antenna there is on alumunium can be solve, known and found. Among others thing, the shape and surface parameters, impedance, transmit’s power, receive power, and SWR antenna.

Abstract

Document exam for midterm and final exam is one of the very important document because it is used by lecturers to evaluate the lecture material for Teaching and Learning Activities. ICT Laboratory Integrated Budi Luhur University as one of the operator of the test lab at the University of Budi Luhur who has responsibility for securing documents exams during the process of mid term and final exam, so in practice there is requiring an application to security documents such as Cryptography Web Based Application using algorithms AES-128 on Lab ICT Integrated Budi Luhur University. Method that is used to develop this application is using Waterfall model, this application used PHP with MySQL database. The research objective is to implement the algorithm AES-128 to encrypt and decrypt files exam on Lab ICT Integrated Budi Luhur University, securing document exam file that can not be read by anyone other than the owner of the file and the person who has access to the file. The conclusion of this study prove that the method algorithm AES-128 algorithm is excellent in secure files, as well as by the application of safeguards files, documents exams more awake, and confidential and the decryption process, the results of the file content decryption did not change from the original file.

Abstract

Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) is one plant that uses water flow to be converted into electrical energy. This power plant works by changing the energy of water flowing (from dam or waterfall) into mechanical energy (with the help of water turbines) and of the mechanical energy into electrical energy (with the help of a generator). The electrical energy then flowed through networks that have been made, until finally the electrical energy to the consumer. Hydropower has five main components, namely dams, turbines, generators, penstock, and track transmisi..Augmented Reality is a technology that combines virtual objects are two-dimensional or three-dimensional environment into a real three. This study uses a multimedia development stage is done by six stages, namely the concept, design, collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. Application of Augmented Reality as a learning medium hydroelectric plants which can visualize the turbine and generator in 3D. Manufacture and design of 3D objects is done by using software blender. Then this object is inserted into the Unity 3D that can be viewed when the marker is detected.

Abstract

PLN Engineering of College (STT PLN) is a campus that has a big potential to continue to grow, especially in the Department of Information Engineering. Along with the continued increase in students, to impact the use of campus facilities and infrastructure for the learning process and also more dense lecture scheduling process. This study aims to find an effective solution to the limitations of the use of infrastructures means that the learning process can run smoothly. To avoid inconsistencies in the modeling, then the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) against the criteria, sub-criteria and strategic alternatives with respondents to determine the stage of making a valid model with significant elements that affect models. Results obtained from the questionnaire FGD are significant criteria, sub-criteria significant, and significant alternatives that make up the decision making process. Data processing respondents in this FGD, processed using statistical methods conchrant Q test. Having obtained the criteria, sub-criteria and strategic alternatives valid next step using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to the data processing using Expert Choice program in 2000.

Abstract

NTFS is a high-performance and self healing file system proprietary to Windows XP Vista 2008 2003 2000 NT & Windows 7,Windows 8, which supports file-level security, compression and auditing. It also supports large volumes and powerful storage solution such as RAID. The most important features of NTFS are data integrity (transaction journal) and the ability to encrypt files and folders to protect your sensitive data. The waterfall development model originates in the manufacturing and construction industries; highly structured physical environments in which after the fact changes are prohibitively costly, if not impossible. Since no formal software development methodologies existed at the time, this hardware-oriented model was simply adapted for software development. File recovery process can be briefly described as drive or folder scanning to find deleted entries in Master File Table (MFT) then for the particular deleted entry, defining clusters chain to be recovered and then copying contents of these clusters to the newly created file.

Abstract

PLN STT campus Department of Information Engineering have 5 computer labs, each of which has a different function so that the needs of households and any inventory each has different needs as well, but will need to be especially household applications required by the all the computer labs are broadly have the same needs: managing demand for goods, equipment and laboratory equipment, household budget until the correspondence. Where at the moment the data needs of households still created and stored using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel because of the perceived lack of effective then the author will make the application more household management automatically so as to facilitate and speed up the process of calculation of the household budget, manufacture of correspondence, filing goods and storage of data and information. So it is expected that these applications can help the process of managing the household of computer laboratories in order to more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Data mining adalah proses mengubah sejumlah besar data sampai menghasilkan keterhubungan antar isi data, proses pengelompokkan data (data clustering) menjadi sangat penting karena adanya peningkatan jumlah data dalam format teks yang cukup signifikan. Pengelompokkan data bertujuan membagi data dalam beberapa kelompok (cluster) sedemikian hingga data-data dalam cluster yang sama (intra-cluster) memiliki derajat kesamaan yang tinggi, sementara data-data dalam cluster yang berbeda (inter-cluster) memiliki derajat kesamaan yang rendah. Model clustering data gangguan yang dirancang dengan metode algoritma k-means, model aplikasi ini dapat menampilkan gambaran dan menunjukan pola sebaran data keluhan pelanggan.

Abstract

Internet is an information technology that is rapidly growing these days. Technological developments and the needs of information led to increased complexity of information that should be processed, so that the need for information such as a website together increasingly necessary, a tool for delivering information and media to learn quickly and easily.Internet is also a means to study our own culture. For example, to learn about language and Sundanese script. Public or the user wants the ease of learning the language according to their pronunciation is difficult to pronounce. Also of course want to know the meaning of the word itself. In order for someone other than that derived from the Sundanese region can learn it easily, then made application to the conversion of Indonesian Sundanese script using PHP and MySQL.In designing the system using PHP and MySQL as database design media, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 as a media interface design. In this application the user is given the ease of pronunciation of words contained in the language that is spoken by the sometimes difficult for people outside the Sundanese and displayed in Sundanese script translation.

Abstract

Automation in daily life has now become a necessity which began to be used in all areas, especially in the fields of education, economics, business, and industry. In the field of education , especially in elementary school, junior high school and high school, almost all the schools in Indonesia do electronic equipment settings which should help school personnel work with ease but still in do with the complicated, for example, conventional job still turn on and off the buzzer and lights, open the gates still use human tools, turn on a fan that has not been controlled in the center and many problems are still to be done manually with the help of human hand. In this case there needs to be a system that can manage and monitor the places they live and conduct electricity in a sustainable management. Responding to the issue in this thesis was designed and fabricated an integrated device such as intelligent building control system based on Android that uses a microcontroller, network and webserver in control. By utilizing the wireless connection technology , Raspberry, Arduino is expected to work optimally so as to provide safety and comfort .
