Abstract

HF in Indonesia in 2019 was 51.48 per 100,000 population, an increase from two years ago, namely 2016 and 2017 when the DHF incidence rate (IR) was 26.1 and 24.75 per 100,000 population. . Based on the case fatality rate (CFR), it seems to have decreased slightly from 0.71% in 2018 to 0.67% in 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mosquito nest eradication behavior (PSN) and the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). The type of research used is a literature review with a systematic literature review method, the number of articles reviewed is 5 articles , the process of analyzing articles with techniques for finding similarities, providing views, comparing, and summarizing. The result of this study is that there is a relationship between mosquito nest eradication behavior (PSN) and the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). The existence of a relationship can be seen from several studies which state that many family heads do not carry out PSN properly. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between PSN behavior and the incidence of DHF. So the head of the family is expected to be able to set an role model for his family to carry out behavior in eradicating mosquito nests properly so as to reduce the incidence of DHF.

Abstract

Chronic high blood pressure (hypertension) is a prevalent ailment among the elderly. One of the most prevalent causes of mortality is hypertension.Hypertension is one of the difficulties in the elderly since it produces and is a factor in heart failure and coronary heart disease. Both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods may be used to treat hypertension. Non-pharmacological avocado leaf decoction has been used in research for years and is readily available. In this research, an avocado leaf decoction is used as a supplemental treatment for the elderly with hypertension. To begin, the process of evaluation, examination, and provision of complementary care treatments is used in conjunction with a case study approach with a descriptive design. There was a significant drop in blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension following the avocado leaf decoction intervention compared to the pre intervention average of 171/101mmHg and the postintervention average of 148/89mmHg. The mean decrease was 23/12 mmHg. Avocado leaf decoction helps lower blood pressure in older patients with hypertension This avocado leaf decoction is anticipated to be used as an antihypertensive and as self-medication to decrease blood pressure through future investigations on this avocado leaf decoction in the medical field. Abstract

In 2020, it’s been noted that the cause of postnatal death is due to pneumonia 73.9%, diarrhea 14.5%, meningitis etc. Since COVID-19 has disrupted health services, the national complete basic immunization coverage is 83.3%. This precentage has not met the 2020 strategic plan target (92.9%), including the West Java which only reached 83.7%. In addition, the number of infant deaths in Indramayu Regency is still high. Immunization is an important health service that aims to protecting children from death-caused diseases. This reasearch aims to determine the description of basic immunization during the COVID-19 in the Margadadi Health Center, Indramayu Regency. This research used descriptive quantitative and retrospective approach. The number of infant population is 787. It also used total sampling, secondary data and univariate data analysis. The result shows that the Achievement of HB immunization 0-7 days is 88.7%, BCG is 83.2%, Polio 1 is 82.7%, Polio 2 is 77.8%, Polio 3 is 75.6%, Polio 4 is 78.7%, DPT/ HB/HIB 1 is 79.4%, DPT/HB/HIB 2 is 74.7%, DPT/HB/HIB 3 is 76%, Measles is 82.5%, and the number infants who has been immunised is 16.6%. The description of basic immunization during the covid-19 has not yet fully achieved due to difficult access, the main focus of health services for covid-19 patients, the implementation of PKM, physical-social distancing, self-isolation, parental concerns about pandemic conditions, as well as delays in the distribution of vaccines for basic immunization. It is hoped that health workers will increase outreach activities on basic immunization, extend infant immunizations, and provide immunization services while implementing Covid-19 health protocols.

Abstract

Around the world, dysmenorrhea cases have already reached the high level. Data from WHO showed that there were 1,769,425 women (90%) suffering from dysmenorrhea. In the meantime, regular exercise has been known to be able to decrease the risks of dysmenorrhea since it could trigger the secretion of endorphin hormone, which could ease the pains. It is expected that doing regular exercises could decrease the number of dysmenorrhea sufferers. This study aimed at finding out the correlations between exercise habits and dysmenorrhea of nursing science students of Health Science Faculty of Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang. Analytic survey was used with cross sectional approach. The respondents were 57 nursing science students, out of 131 total populations. They were selected by stratified random sampling method. The data from univariate statistic test showed: 42.1% (24) of respondents had good exercise habits, 57.9% (33) did not have good exercise habits, 61.4% (35) suffered from dysmenorrhea, and 38.6% (22) did not suffer from dysmenorrhea. The result of bivariate statistic test by chi square showed p value 0.001 < 0.05, which meant there were correlations between exercise habits and dysmenorrhea. As a result, the female students were suggested to do exercise regularly to avoid the pains of menstruation.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding refers to breastfeeding only and no other food/drink from birth to 6 months of age. Working mothers often fail to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The exclusive breastfeeding coverage rate in the working area of the Kasiyan Health Center is 19.93%, the lowest in Jember Regency. This study was to determine the effect of exposure to information about the inability to provide exclusive breastfeeding with the availability of facilities for mothers who work in the working area of the Kasyan Public Health Center, Jember Regency. This study was included in a quantitative and cross-sectional study on mothers with infants aged 6-12 months who were not exclusively breastfed. The sample size was obtained through purposive sampling technique. The research tool uses a questionnaire. The analysis was performed using a one-sample chi-square statistical test. From the calculation of the analysis results, the p-value of both the availability of facilities and information exposure is 0.000.These results indicate that the availability of facilities and information exposure have a significant effect on the failure of exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers. This proves that the mother has sufficient knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, but cannot achieve exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months without the support of facilities. In addition to continuous education from health workers, cross-sectoral and cross-program collaboration also needs to be encouraged to increase the success of exclusive breastfeeding among working mothers.
