Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mantra suku Dayak yang digunakan pada acara Babalai dan menganlisis simbol dalam mantra suku Dayak Meratus yang digunakan saat acara Babalai di Paramasan, Kabupaten Banjar Kalimantan Selatan. Setiap simbol dan ikon yang digunakan dalam masing-masing budaya memuat nilai kultural tersendiri yang dianggap signifikan dalam komunitasnya. Pengkajian teks mantra suku Dayak Meratus akan memperkaya khazanah pengkajian bahasa dan budaya dalam komunitas lokal-global dan dapat memperkokoh solidaritas antar bangsa dan Negara. Bahasa yang digunakan sebagai medium dalam pengungkapan atau alat ekspresi untuk mengetahui bukti sejarah sebagai konteks suatu pemahaman identitas suatu budaya. Identitas budaya muncul dalam suatu komunitas bukan hanya sebagai warna kelokalan tetapi juga sebagai ekspresi budaya yang menawarkan alternatif pencitraan dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Elementary School is a operational concrete time for young learners. Primary school curriculum exposing students to study Islamic education. In the Islamic primary school, students will study Islamic education and develop basic skills. Experience of students studying the Quran Hadith, Fiqh, Aqidah Akhlak, History and Practice of Islam and Arabic in schools should will build itself. Especially for Aqidah Akhlak are generally taught to the whole class, and it is the basis of the students in expressing religiosity. Learning Aqidah Akhlak have a great responsibility for the lives of students. Sometimes teachers teach Aqidah Akhlak using conventional method. This causes students to lose meaning in Islamic learning so that students just accept without critical dogma in it. The teacher becomes a source of knowledge and passive students in learning. The background of this analysis is Student Centered Learning approach; Aqidah Akhlak design learning for elementary Islam. Based Problems and paradigms in Aqidah Akhlak classes, Student Centered Learning approach can be developed that Cooperative Learning, Group Discussion, PBL, Connecting methods and Learning Differ can help teachers improve learning in primary school moral creed of Islam.

Abstract

The development of Islamic educational thinking, has sketched ideas varied, ranging from the classic to the modern era. Thought modern Islamic education is a critical response on global Western secular civilization. The negative influence is the dualism of the education system that applies to Muslims, namely the Western education system and the system of Islamic education. Western education system is so powerful that its influence is a threat to Islamic education. Therefore, efforts are integral formation system is a must. Al-Faruqi and Al-Attas trying to bargain a solution in the form of Islamization of science, which differ in terms of strategy Islamization of science, if Al-Faruqi in social sciences while Al-Attas on the humanities. Typology thought al-Faruqi and Al-Attas is inseparable from social background and cultural nuances where both activity and appreciate their ideas.

Abstract

To address three theories in teaching English for young learners (Piaget, Vygotsky, and Brunner), the researchers believe that an effective teaching teachniques that pay attention not only to the needs of the young learners but also to their interests are very important. This research reported our pre-experimental study on the effectiveness of using Piaget, Vygotsky, and Brunner theories in teaching English for young learners at SDN Kebun Bunga 6 Banjarmasin. There were 26 students of the fourth grade, study English at SDN Kebun Bunga 6 Banjarmasin, participated in this research. The data collected by conducting three times treatment in one class of the fourth grade, and written tests (pre-test and post-test). Findings revealed that the students got better score after the implementation of those three theories (Piaget, Vygotsky, and Brunner) in the classroom; they were very enthusiastic learned English in the classroom by interacting with the teachers and the peers. Their responses toward this activity were also positive. This research is expected to be beneficial for teachers who are interested in applying those three theories in English classroom, especially for young learners? classroom.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah transfer negatif lebih dikenal dengan istilah interferensi dalam pemerolehan bahasa kedua. Istilah interferensi mengacu pada dua fenomena linguistik yang berbeda, yaitu interferensi psikologis dan interferensi sosiolinguistik. Interferensi psikologis mengacu kepada pengaruh kebiasaan lama sebagai hasil mempelajari sesuatu terhadap sesuatu yang sedang dipelajari. Sedangkan interferensi sosiolinguistik mengacu pada interaksi bahasa, misalnya pinjaman atau alih sandi.  Faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya interferensi adalah faktor kontak bahasa dan faktor kemampuan berbahasa. Hasil penelitian aspek interferensi sintaksis bahasa Katingan terhadap bahasa Indonesia yaitu ditemukan dua jenis interferensi sintaksis yang terdapat dalam bahasa lisan dan tulisan siswa SMPN 1 Katingan Tengah antara lain: (1) Interferensi frasa terhadap bahasa Indonesia dan (2) Interferensi kalimat terhadap bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Idealisme pendidikan untuk memanusiakan manusia harus sejalan dengan tujuan dan praksis pendidikan. Meskipun pada kenyataannya, masih banyak pendidikan yang memainkan peran tradisionalnya dengan memandang bahwa peserta didik merupakan produk yang dihasilkan oleh dunia pendidikan. Hal ini disebabkan masih banyaknya praktek di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan yang masih memberikan dominasi pada aspek kognitif dan penekanan pada aspek hafalan dalam memahami praktek pembelajaran bahkan pembelajaran agama sekalipun. Capaian keberhasilan seorang anak hanya berhenti pada nilai angka-angka nominal semata, kepintaran anak dinilai manakala mampu menghafal materi-materi yang sudah ditentukan berdasarkan bahan ajar yang ada dan batasan-batasan yang sudah dipersiapkan secara terukur dan terstruktur menurut aturan yang sangat sempit dan sangat minim terhadap ruang dialog-interaktif antar guru dan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, hadirnya pemikir kritis sebagaimana Paulo Freire, merupakan upaya memperjuangkan pendidikan menuju sebuah perubahan nyata agar pendidikan tidak hanya sekedar mempersiapkan robot-robot mekanik masa depan melainkan mampu melahirkan manusia-manusia pembawa perubahan menuju masyarakat yang berkeadilan dan berkeadaban.

Abstract

Learning media is an important factor in improving the quality of learning. In connection with the use of media in the learning process, teaching staff need to be careful in the selection of media that will be used. This study aimed to describe the use of a medium of learning by students on field practice II in Al-Muhajirin Government Elementary School Banjarmasin. Data collected by observation. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative approach. Based on the results of the study illustrated the ability of PPL student in utilizing instructional media included in either category that most or some 63.6% of the students can use the media in accordance with the general principles of the use of media.                                                                                                          Key Words: Media Learning, Practice Fields II

Abstract

The teacher is a position or profession that requires special skills as a teacher. This work cannot be done by people who do not have the expertise to carry out activities or work as a teacher. Every teacher has a different personality and background and teaching experience. Every teacher has a personality according to the characteristics they have. Personality is actually an abstract, can only be seen through appearance, action, speech, how to dress, and how to deal with every problem. The teacher's personality is the main capital in carrying out the role and duty as an educator. Personality, character is a crown for a human, because that is what distinguishes humans from animals. Good character does not just appear, it is a lifelong learning process. To grow good character, a teacher can learn about the lives of characters who are considered to have good character or personality. Buya Hamka is a National figure who can be a role model in learning to have a great character and personality. The research conducted was included in the type of qualitative descriptive research with library research. The method used is critical analytical descriptive, the primary data source is the works of Buya Hamka who deal with professional teachers and the secondary data are similar works that have the same theme. The analysis in this study uses the method of content analysis. The results of the study are that the teacher according to Hamka functions as an institution that seeks to develop all the potential that exists in students to the fullest, in accordance with the rhythms of their development, both physicaly and mental spiritual have a good personality because students will imitate the behavior of his teacher. Teacher's Personality in Islamic Education According to Buya Hamka's Thought, the teacher must understand the concept of the educator as an exemplary subject, the tasks of the educator, and have character (traits), as befits an educator. Hamka expressed his opinion about how should the characteristics of Islamic religious education teachers, namely: 1) Having extensive knowledge, 2) Good communication, 3) Good example for students and those around them, 4) Ikhlash, 5) Having  good methods for teaching, 6) Humility, 7) Responsibility, 8) Confidence, 9) Gentleness, 10) Patience, 11) Passion, 12) Apply and say honestly. Relevance of Hamka's Thought about the Teacher's Personality of Islamic Education with Education Today Teachers should help shape the character, mind, character, and personality of students, so that he knows which is good and what is bad. Abstract

Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi orang tua dan guru mengenai pentingnya bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui FGD yang dilaksanakan  di TK ABA Karangmalang Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar orang tua dan guru menjawab bahwa pentingnya bahasa Inggris pada anak usia dini, semakin dini anak-anak diajarkan semakin baik untuk ingatan dan pembentukan otak mereka, anak-anak memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi akan lebih bermanfaat jika diisi dengan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dan bahasa lainnya, ini juga berkaitan dengan masa emas perkembangan anak. Faktor bahasa Inggris pada anak adalah membawa pengaruh positif yang mampu meningkatkan pemerolehan bahasa anak pada perkembangan bahasa anak, sedangkan faktor bahasa Inggris pada anak juga membawa pengaruh negatif yaitu rendahnya kemampuan anak tentang bahasa pertama.
