Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa SMP terhadap IPA pada tiga indikator yang diadopsi dari TOSRA yaitu implikasi sosial dari IPA, ketertarikan menambah waktu belajar IPA, ketertarikan berkarir dibidang IPA. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2815 siswa dari total keseluruhan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian survei. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket sikap. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan tiga dimensi sikap yang diukur tidak memiliki kaitan yang relevan, hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh di dalamnya. Faktor tersebut salah satunya adalah faktor guru pengampu IPA dan faktor perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

Elementary school teacher education Department, an education institute that produces teachers for Islamic Elementary School, is demanded to give competence to students about instuctional material that can be created by teachers, in order to make an appropriate instructional material when they be a teacher and take a part in society. The material is an appropriate material that is suitable for 2013 curriculum; it is a material that can produce Indonesian people be more producive, creative, and inovative through  reinforcement of integrated attitude, skill, and knowledge. In order to have comprehensive understanding about development of instructional material and lesson plan based on competence, fulfill relevancy, adequacy and novelty, the students in Teaching English for Young Learners subject is supplied multimedia instructional material, so the students can notice frame of instructional material in English Instructional and its teaching learning process. Based on that problem, then instructional material based on interactive multimedia for English Subject Character Education based is developed.  It uses macromediaflash program application. It is equiped with interesting animation, audio, video, and evaluation about development of instructional material and lesson plan.

Abstract

Problems facing the school is juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency is so alarming cause of school MAN 2 Model Banjarmasin implement the system implementation point towards the students. With the hope that students be disciplined and strive to obey school rules at school are also at home. Peneitian This is a case study at MAN 2 Banjarmasin Model. Implementation of the system implementation point at MAN 2 Banjarmasin Model makes the students discipline, abide by the rules and deliver successful students when he graduated from school.

Abstract

This research purposed to know the differences of student cognitive critical thinking and psychomotor skills, along with knowing where was the better group between audio visual media and paper sheet in  student cognitive critical thinking and psychomotor skills as experiment guidelines . Critical thinking skills that analyzed were belonged to  priority, analyzed, synthesis, and evaluation aspects.This research was an quasi-experiment with the static pretest posttest group design. The populate was belonged to all student of XI IPA 1, XI IPA 3, and XI IPA 5. The sample was  given by cluster random sampling, and the result is XI IPA 1 as the group help by audio visual media, XI IPA 5 as paper sheet. The instruments  were  10 questions of critical thinking skill and psychomotor observation  sheet. Data were obtained  from posttest and psychomotor observation  scores. Data analyzing used independent sample T-test and different populate average estimation test.The results showed that there were differences of  student  cognitive critical thinking and psychomotor skills between of  the group that helped by audio visual media and paper sheet, along with the student cognitive critical thinking and psychomotor skills of audio visual media group are better than paper sheet, it was  because of the ranges of  different average populate estimation in cognitive aspect  was ranging from 0,1246 9,2313 and psychomotor was 7,752 12,906   for each ? = 5%

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi orang tua dan guru melalui kerjasama dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian studi komunitas. Populasi 500 orangtua siswa di 5 Kecamatan Kota Banjarmasin. Sampel adalah 200 orangtua  siswa dengan  menggunakan metode Snow balling. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, partisipasi, dan dokumentasi. Data di verifikasi, melalui kredibilitas, transferabilitas, kriteria, konfirmasi, serta trianggulasi data dengan responden.            Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan dasar dan falsafah pendidikan karakter perilaku sosial yakni  pengenalan dan pengamalan, dapat membangun karakter perilaku sosial siswa terhadap Agama, Pancasila, dan Budaya Banjar. Anak-anak  dibimbing dan mendapat pedoman dengan keteladanan, disiplin, motivasi, pembiasaan, pelestarian dan pengembangan yang kondusif. Serta suasana pendidikan yang membantu mengembangkan lingkungan sosialnya. Dan orangtua memiliki pola untuk membimbing karakter perilaku sosial anak dengan menerapkan sikap kepemimpinan secara demokratis berdasarkan perkembangan karakter perilaku sosial anak. Kemudian oleh orangtua terbina secara harmonis karena adanya kerjasama dan penguatan pendidikan karakter dari sekolah dan guru-guru secara intensif dan kontinu.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify students? misconceptions in static fluid covering Archimedes? Principle and hydrostatic pressure. The used-instruments were of 10 multiple choice questions supported by reasons for answers. The method used in this research was giving the exercise in the form of questions to 32 students of XI class who had received subject matter of Archimedes? Principle and hydrostatic pressure at middle and high school levels. The results of the students? answers were then analyzed and presented qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the analysis of students? answers obtained 16 types of misconceptions in static fluid. In comprehending Archimedes' Principle, most students experienced difficulties in determining the state of floating, sinking and determining magnitude of buoyancy of objects in a fluid. While on hydrostatic pressure topic, most students found it difficult to determine the amount of hydrostatic pressure at a point in the fluid.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of multicultural education in the 2013 curriculum at SD YPPSB East Kutai. This type of research is qualitative descriptive, by describing the results of learning observations, interviews with relevant sources, and reviewing syllabus documents, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), teaching materials, and learning media. The findings of the implementation of multicultural education are carried out in a way; integrating into the theme of learning, making annual activities for self-development in a programmed and scheduled manner, implementing a model of school community model, character building, inculcation and practice of character values in daily life. As well as habituation by taking action on daily activities that are integrated with the annual school routine program.

Abstract

Educators take as an important rule in educational system. They are the ones who are responsible for the students in achieving their educational goals. Basically, there is no difference concept of educators in both Islamic and Western Education. However, Islam has broader perspectives compared to the Western one, since in Islam Allah is believed as the first and foremost teacher or educator. Then, this is continued by the Prophet Muhammad as a recipient of revelations from Allah, and then it is inherited to the Islamic Scholars and even parents to educate their followers, children, and all family members. The position of educators is highly appreciated according to Islamic Education, since the source of the knowledge taught to the human is directly from Allah the Almighty God. Therefore, the nature of educators should become role models which can be taken as a good example for the students in order to improve the quality of theit faith and piety. Thus, the terms and conditions for an educator are s/he must be an adult, has good personality and character, has broaden knowledge and skills, and also good attitudes and consistency based on Islamic taughts.

Abstract

The ability of students in this school is low in understanding the questions given by the teacher. As a result they find it difficult to know the steps on how to solve the problem. Efforts that can be done are implementing Polya's steps.Quasi-experimental research was conducted in this study with the Randomized Control Group Only Design. Students of class VIII at this school are used as population. The experimental class is class VIIIA and the control class is class VIIIB. Final test data in the form of essays obtained were analyzed by t test. The result is the average problem solving ability with the application of Polya's steps, 78.23 and the control class, 72.38, with achievement in the experimental class 81% and in the control class, 48%. After being analyzed, t_count = 2.33 and t_table = 1.68 with a confidence level of 95% so that t_count > t_table (2.33 > 1.68), meaning that the proposed hypothesis is accepted and the ability of students in solving problems using Polya steps is higher rather than without applying these steps.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the application of assertive behavior by the teacher of Islamic Education Studies and to determine the results of the application in improving students? achievement in SMPN 1 Godean. This research is a descriptive qualitative field research. The data collection methods were observation, documentation and interview. Furthermore, the data analysis were using the model of Miles and Huberman which are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicated that the behavior of Islamic Education Studies teacher is able to express the feelings well, sometimes expressed thoughts and beliefs openly and able to maintain the personal rights.  Based on those 3 components and 4 characteristics of assertive behavior, the teacher applied 2 components and 3 characteristics of assertive behavior. Thus, the results of the application of Islamic Education Studies teacher's assertive behavior made students in learning the subject were more contented and enthusiastic so that this has an effect on students? achievement, as evidenced by the students? high scores on final test which have an average value above the Minimum Standard Criteria (KKM).
