Abstract

This research was motivated by the low activity of class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan students during the mathematics teaching and learning process and the low learning outcomes obtained by class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan students in learning mathematics. By using the ROPES learning model, it is able to improve students' active thinking skills during mathematics learning. Students do not only act as recipients of information provided by the teacher. They will try to find as much information as possible, then they can convey it through presentation activities. This research uses classroom action research. The purpose of the study was to describe efforts to improve the activities and learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan through the implementation of the Ropes learning model (Review, Overview, Presentation, Exercise, Summary). The action hypothesis is an increase in student learning activities in class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan through the implementation of the ROPES learning model in mathematics subjects and an increase in student understanding and learning outcomes in class XI IPA 2 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan through the implementation of the ROPES learning model in math subjects. This study consisted of two cycles, each of which consisted of four meetings. The percentage of completeness of cycle 1 is 68.75%. with an average of 75.84. The percentage of completeness in cycle 2 is 93.75%. with an average of 89.28. Student learning activities also showed a significant increase in each indicator.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students do not understand the concept well so that they have difficulty in applying the concept to solve problems, interest and student learning activities to learn mathematics are still very low, some students think that mathematics is one of the subjects that are considered difficult and less liked students, most students feel ashamed to ask the teacher about the material they do not understand, and the low learning outcomes obtained by students and have not met the KKM set, which is 80. The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to increase activity and learning outcomes of class XI IPA 1 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan academic year 2017/2018 during the teaching and learning process of Mathematics through the implementation of the TAPPS strategy in the Limit Function Algebra material. The action hypothesis is that there is an increase in the activities and learning outcomes of class XI IPA 1 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan academic year 2017/2018 during the teaching and learning process of Mathematics through the implementation of the TAPPS strategy in the Limit Function Algebra material. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan for the academic year 2017/2018, totaling 32 people. This study consisted of two cycles, each of which consisted of three meetings. The percentage of completeness in cycle 1 was 71.87% with an average of 79.63. The percentage of completeness in cycle 2 was 96.88% with an average of 88.13. Student learning activities also showed a significant increase in each indicator.

Abstract

This study uses a Problem Based Learning model with an integrated scientific approach TPACK assisted by video learning media and Power point on matrix material to increase students' learning motivation. The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. The instruments used are observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. This research was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of two meetings and one cycle test, each cycle consisting of 4 main activities, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. From the results of the study, it was found that there was an increase in students' learning motivation by using the Problem Based Learning model with an integrated scientific approach TPACK assisted by video learning media and Power point on matrix material. The results showed that the motivation of students has increased. This can be seen from the average value in the first cycle which is 97.79 in the medium category, increasing in the second cycle to 105.5 in the high category.

Abstract

In English learning, there are four skills that need to be mastered by English students, they are listening, speaking, reading and writing. As four skills writing is one of the most important skill for students. Writing becomes one of the most important aspect of the language skills because the students are helped to expand the other language skill through the teaching of writing skill by teacher. The purpose of this research was to find out whether any significant effects of using Explicit Strategy in teaching recount text on students writing skill at the first grade of SMPN 26 Kerinci. The population of this research was the first grade of SMPN 26 Kerinci, there were 28 students from two classes. The sample used totaling sampling. Based on the result of this research, there is significant effect Explicit Strategy in teaching recount text on students writing skill at the first grade of SMPN 26 Kerinci. Therefore, the researcher suggested for English teacher to use Explicit Instruction Strategy in teaching writing, especially in teaching of writing recount text.

Abstract

This research aims to describing the implementation of concept map teaching and learning in evolution course in State Islamic Institut of Kerinci. This research focused on improving student achievement on cognitive domain through the implementation of the concept mapping strategy. Research subjects are biology students, amounting to 24 students. This type of research is classroom action research. The research instrument is a learning device (syllabus, lesson plan, and textbook), data was collecting by test and observation paper. Based on the result of the study, found that student achievement in the cognitive domain and student activity in general has increased after the implementation of concept map strategy in evolution course. The results showed that the average score of the students average in the first cycle 66,75 (enough) and student activity 66 % (enough) increased to 72,70 (excellent) for student achievement and 76% for student activity on the second cycle. The result also showed that student achievement on cognitive aspect have increased after the implementation of concept map teaching and learning strategy in evolution course.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of contextual approaches to the mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. The method in this research is quasi-experimental. The study was conducted at Bina Harapan Bangsa Middle School. With class VIII B stated experimental class which amounted to 30 students and class VIII C stated control class which amounted to 30 students. This research is supported by instruments that have been tested, valid and reliable. The instrument was adjusted to four indicators of mathematical communication ability with 5 items in order to get the experimental class and the control class posttest data. Data testing was performed with data processed using the SPSS 22 application for parametric statistical testing. The results of the study concluded that students' mathematical communication skills in the teaching and learning process with the use of contextual approaches were better than students with ordinary learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the use of the online method of the Covid-19 learning model to improve student learning outcomes in PPKn subjects in class VIII.5 SMP Negeri 6 Payakumbuh. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research was carried out based on classroom action research steps with two cycles starting from the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Research data in the form of test results, Covid-19 learning observations, field notes, and documentation of each learning improvement action. The source of research data is the process of learning activities. The data were obtained from the research subjects, namely teachers and class students, totaling 22 people, which was held from July to September 2021. The results of the analysis of research data showed that the use of the online method of the Covid-19 learning model could improve student learning outcomes. This is evident from the acquisition of learning outcomes in the aspect of knowledge which has increased, namely 64.31 in pre-cycle activities, increasing to 70.00 in the first cycle, increasing to 76.81 in the second cycle with an increase of 12.50. The learning outcomes of the skills aspect obtained an average of 62.72 in the pre-cycle, increasing to 70.00 in the first cycle and increasing to 75.90 in the second cycle with an increase of 13.18. Based on the results of this study, the conclusions of the study using the online method of Covid-19 learning models need to be applied and developed in order to improve the quality of education

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas XII IPS.1 SMA Negeri 1 Canduang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar Ekonomi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Cooperative Tipe Jigsaw. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan prosedur perencanaan, pelaksanaan observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan di kelas XII IPS 1SMA Negeri 1 Candung dengan jumlah siswa 24 orang pada semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk 2 siklus dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi yang dianalisis dengan persentase dan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan peningkatan aktivitas belajar dilakukan setelah siklus I dan siklus II dengan tindakan penggunaan buku sumber dan adanya kerjasama dan saling bantu oleh siswa dalam kelompok belajar.

Abstract

This research started from the problem of the low learning outcomes of mathematics in class XII IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Candung. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in mathematics by using the guided practice learning model. This research is classified as classroom action research. The research was conducted in class XII IPS 2 of SMAN 1 Candung with 20 students. The research procedure is in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings in which each meeting contains planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques with observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis carried out in this study is reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The guided practice learning model can make it easier for students to understand the material presented by the teacher. The results of this study indicate that the use of the guided practice learning model can improve mathematics learning outcomes in class XII IPS SMA N 1 Candung.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and obtain information about How Efforts to Improve Students' English Learning Outcomes in Reading Descriptive Text Through Role Playing Learning Model in Class X IPS2 SMA Negeri 1 Candung. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were students of class X IPS2 SMA Negeri 1 Candung with a total of 18 students. The time of this research is the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year which starts in September. This research procedure consists of two cycles with four stages of research, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques in this study were field notes, student worksheets, written tests, and documents. The collected data were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results of the study can be concluded that the learning process using the Role Playing Learning Model can improve students' English learning outcomes. Improved student learning outcomes can be seen from the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II
